Sad to say, my memory of this sub was much better than what I received today. The price increased and the amount of chicken they put into the chicken teriyaki Philly decreased. The teriyaki sauce wasn't cooked down onto the sub which made the entire sub very wet. I also ordered a strawberry lemonade which may have been the highlight of my order here. This location is found inside Barton creek mall near Panda Express, you can't miss it. I usually go to Charley's for their cheesesteaks but decided I'd try out their wings since it is new on their menu. You can never go wrong with their cheese fries, I'd say they are a 3.9/5, the cheese isn't the greatest, thicker cheese texture, but they're still a good snack to eat while shopping at the mall. The wing buffalo sauce and lemon pepper rub had good flavor, but the texture and flavor of the chicken itself didn't convince me they were great. The breading was a bit too thick in my opinion, maybe fried a bit too long and the flavor of the chicken just seemed a bit bland IMO. I'd say a 3/5, I'll probably have to try their traditional wings out of curiosity as well. Their staff is friendly, the cooks make the food fairly quickly especially when they are super busy. They are part of the malls food court and there's always somewhere to sit in the area nearby, but it does get busy and loud in the area. Charleys subs is the bomb. This one is located in Barton Creek mall next to chik fil a and Panda Express. Tried out the new bourbon philly regular size with the upgraded fries combo and it was delicious. Definitely recommend upgrading the fries, they compliment the philly well. read more

LOL. I have no idea why I'm writing a review of a mall food court place other than to save others. I was picking up something from a store and was starving since I'd been in the dentist's chair for almost two hours prior. The other places in the food court were either crazy busy or closed (at lunch? I guess that's another review) so here we are. The food - a buffalo chicken cheesesteak (WHY?) was essentially inedible. The only things I've ever tasted that were saltier are the ocean and the time the lid came off the shaker over my fries and my friends dared me to eat them anyway. That was 7th grade, by the way. But yeah. Inedible. I won't say anything about lettuce, tomatoes, and pickles on a Philly (just WRONG if you need an opinion). It was just the salt. read more

This place is basically the McDonald of philly cheese stakes. I got the chicken cheese stake with some regular fries and it was meh. Not great but definitely not bad, very middle of the road, "eh, might as well, I'm feeling cheese stakes" kinda place. I'm surprised that there aren't more reviews for this place seeing as many people go there. I love their pepperoni cheese steak with everything plus pickles I also like their regular chicken cheese steak. My brother usually gets the ultimate sub that has bacon. What I usually go there for is their flavored lemonades and cheese fries! I always have to have cheese fries every time I go to the mall. I've never had a problem with the staff or the food. When I go to the mall I always go here and I always get some thing random from the menu although I do go back to some, I also get the ultimate fries with a sprite & I get STUFFED. The staff is almost always the same people but everyone is really nice & friendly to me. Ok, it's a fast food mall establishment so no one is expecting legendary Philly Steaks. That said, the quality of what you get is at best fair - and that is being kind. Super thin factory processed thin-slice-beef and thin-slice chicken grilled up fast on a greasy grill. A big filling tasteless white bread roll. The only flavor I got from my California Chicken Philly was from the optional bacon I ordered on top, plus a little ranch dressing I got mixed into my white bread. I opened the roll to see if there was any chicken there. I sure couldn't tell if there was from the taste. Fries are undercooked (for serving speed) and close to tasteless. The strawberry lemonade was cloying and undermixed. If you are a Dallas Cowboy fan, and you hate the Philadelphia Eagles with a passion - this is your Philly Cheesesteak place. The manager was extremely rude and was not wearing a mask. All other employees were wearing masks except the manager who was putting his employees and costumers at risk. My boyfriend also found a piece of wood in his sandwich. We got a refund but the guy did not apologize at all. Was at Charley's Subs today. The woman in front of me order the fries with cheese and bacon. She brought it back saying the bacon is cold. Without missing a beat the proprietor threw the fries away, put some bacon on the griddle, and gave her a new order of fries with cheese and bacon. He did not complain or try to tell her that is the way the order comes. He simply did what he could to satisfy her order. Very pleased to see this kind of customer service.
