We had the orange chicken app, wonton soup and beef garlic noodles. The orange chicken looked really good when we saw it on other patrons plate. It was light but it lost its appeal as it lay on the plate. I've had better but it was still pretty good. The wonton soup was a larger portion and enough for two. It had pork, chicken, shrimp, carrots, cabbage, and it had great chili! The broth was amazing. I absolutely loved the beef garlic noodles! It was a hit to my tastes buds. A hidden gem in Long Beach! Stumbled upon this place and went twice within 1 week because it's so good. It's a small place with quick, friendly service. Their thai tea is probably the best I've had (I ordered a small the first time and a large the second time because it was so good). Their steamed gyozas are so good and have a bit of a crunchy garnish on top. Their egg rolls were also good and not too oily. I also ordered the crying tiger (marinated beef) to eat with their pad see ew. The crying tiger was good but it's basically a la carte meat so I'd recommend getting a rice or noodle dish to eat it with. Parking is street/around the neighborhood area. We ordered quite a lot of dishes and they all were such hits: Clear noodle salad (5/5): I've never ordered this dish before but where has it been all my life??? It's the perfect balance of savory and tangy!! Super refreshing. The lime/fish sauce is sooo good and the seafood has the perfect cook. I will definitely be trying to replicate this dish at home. Boat noodle (5/5): literally cannot go wrong this dish, so flavorful omg. Kao Soi (5/5): unpopular opinion but I was not a fan of Kao Soi UNTIL I tried it at this location... omg when I tell you the flavors transported me back to my childhood... it reminds me of my grandma's cooking. Drunken noodle (4/5): good classic noodle dish, I would love to try a different dry noodle dish when I come back another time tho. I knew it was a brand new place but I could not figure out what it used to be before until I googled the address and it was Thai Silk! Well, lemme tell ya, I hadn't been to Thai Silk in years; however, Charm Siam is SO MUCH BETTER! It was busy and that's usually an indicator that the food is good. We started off with the veggie egg rolls, which were served up piping hot and fresh along with this delicious sweet sauce. They were not greasy and definitely crispy! Next up was the hot pot of coconut curry soup (or at least that's what I called it) and it was so flavorful and delish! I had ordered it as my entree; however, my friend wanted some as well so I hesitantly shared lol. He ordered the BBQ pork fried rice and I am not big on fried rice but I added some to my soup since he wanted some of mine (it was ok but not piping hot and was rather dry). My first Uber Eats order bcz I am on a mission to try mango sticky rice dessert from as many places in LBC as possible. It's Saturday , my laundry and order delivery food day. I ordered 2 mango sticky rice, fried tofu, papaya salad Lao style, a crying tiger, a dry egg noodle with char siu pork, a chicken with sticky rice. Packaging was good but the papaya salad was dripping out liquid and it was a big job to clean it up bcz the smell was funky. I like funky but not on my furniture. THe papaya was shredded thicker and it was good but had no roasted peanuts which is one my my favorite to have in this salad. The egg noodle with char siu had good flavor but the noodle was so over cooked and mushy texture. Fried tofu was good but it's good from most places. Crying tiger beef was not grilled and didn't have the brown crust or medium rare texture. It was well done and chewy. The chicken and sticky rice was different than in Thailand and at any place I've had it before and not in a good way. I looked nothing like the photo in the menu. My rice was already hard and tough to eat while the chicken was dry and some pieces had seasoning and others didn't. It's a total miss for me. I am happy to report I am glad I got 2 mango sticky rice because it was delicious and lots of mango sliced nice and thick. THey gave a good amount of coconut sauce and it was not too sweet. It's mango season so I am indulging when it's good and fresh. I've heard good things about this restaurant but my first trial was not so great. There are so many great Thai restaurants in LBC so it is tough competition. I will give it one more try bcz I will reorder the mango sticky rice. read more

It is located in the Alamitos Beach neighborhood, so it's street parking only and can be hard to find, especially at night. Inside, the ambiance was nice, it feels like a hole in the wall. The beef hot pot has some soft and tender ass beef cuts like tendon, beef balls, shanks, tripe, and some pork liver too. It's a very unique, well seasoned, and has a good kick of spice. Been thinking about this hot pot for the longest time so I flew back from the bay to come eat here again.
