My husband and daughter treated me to a lovely Mother's Day and part of that celebration was lunch at the Chart House. It's a beautiful restaurant in a stunning location. We were all slightly disappointed that the restaurant didn't live up to the standards of what we expected at Chart House. Overall we had great service. There were some inconsistencies that made the service less than stellar like not being offered bread when other tables were, not being given a steak knife, asking for salt and pepper and never getting it. But the most disappointing part of our meal was the food. My daughter ordered the lobster tail, roasted potatoes and broccolini. The lobster and potatoes were bland and the broccolini was very tough. My husband ordered a filet mignon that was cooked unevenly. I had the prime rib, which was delicious and flavorful but my chopped salad was a little mushy and had a strange flavor I couldn't quite identify. Our sangria and desserts were amazing! I can't rave enough about Jake Weber and his crew. They were flexible, accommodating and easy to work with. They didn't blink an eye when more guest than we anticipated showed up to the wedding rehearsal dinner on Friday 8 Oct 2021. In fact they were actually prepared for it telling me later that once he knew it was a mostly military crowd with people coming from all over the place he was ready for changes in numbers. Now to the food! From the drinks, the appetizers, through the buffet line; all was fresh, delicious and plentiful. We had 40 guests and all absolutely LOVED it. If you ever in look for a venue for a memorable dinner call Jake! He will walk you through the process and ensure all goes perfectly! I recommend the Pacific Buffet option. Went to the Chart House a few weeks back and were very pleasantly surprised! We hadn't been in years. Sat next to a couple who said the same thing - that we used to celebrate all family events there. Well, over all disappointing. Was there for anniversary, requested a table near window and we were dead center in middle of restaurant. Our server was good but food was so so. I saw fish behind cooking station that was already banquet cooked and just reheated as people ordered it. I know this as my Ahi was luke warm at best. We ate at the Chart House in Evergreen for dinner this past week, and were a bit disappointed. This location has always been one of my favorite places and we had not eaten there since pre-covid. I was very excited to have their Lobster Bisque and Prime Rib, which was good but not great. Our waitstaff was very nice and I love the ambiance, but we had looked at the menu that is posted here on Yelp and were very upset to see that the prices are now much higher now than what is listed on this menu. One and done for me. If you strive for overpriced mediocrity then this is your place. Food is very average, and if you want any veggies on your plate the selection is limited and they charge you extra for that. Arrived at 6:00pm on a Sat. evening and the salad bar was in dire need of some attention. 1.5 hours later the salad bar looked exactly the same. The kitchen is open and visible to all patrons. I witnessed an employee dish out food onto the plates with his bare hands multiple times. His hands were all over everyone's plates without wearing gloves. Our wait service was very average without anyone checking to see how are food was during the dinner. Lastly, if you look at any of these negative reviews on yelp, the same scripted response is given to everyone. Server attentive. Oysters delightful. Salad, a little chunky, but in a good way. Entrees presented nicely. But then the asparagus! This is spring. The only time we should eat asparagus. Harbingers of summer, tender, vibrant green and when cooked appropriately bring cheers from ever one. However this lasagna boat of flaccid pale stalks could hardly be mistaken for asparagus maybe Sequoias where the bark had been skinned off and then steamed to a limp noodle. Just ordered the surf and turf medium well and not only was my steak under cooked but the twin lobster tails were as well! Not worth $72 each for me and my wife for under cooked food! This was the worst experience we have ever had at a sit down restaurant and will never be returning. Our reservations were at 6:00 and we were sat immediately and that was the best part of our experience. We were also sat the same time as another couple and an eight top with the same waiter. The seats were really close together so much so that we could easily talk to the couple sitting in the bench next to us and could not get out without disturbing the table next to us. Our waiter was very nice but that did not make up for the lack of attentiveness that we received from him. I mentioned how I could not have the lava cake because of a food allergy and when I ordered the lobster bisque he did not let me know until after I had tasted it and had to question whether it contained the item I just mentioned I was allergic to ... it did. As I mentioned previously we arrived at 6:00 and we were not getting our drinks ordered until 6:30 and even then we had to ask him if we could order drinks. They were not delivered until we asked for them after our appetizers were almost done. About 20 minutes later when we thought we would be getting our meal shortly he came instead to tell me that they were out of the item I ordered. When the food finally arrived my husband's prime rib was rarer than he ordered and my meal was very salty. Not sending anything back as everything was taking so long. My husband's lava cake was very disappointing and very dry. This was two hours and 15 minutes of torture. This used to be our favorite place to come for our birthdays and since we live an hour away I am sure we will find something closer to find as a new favorite place. read more

My girlfriend and I came for Valentines Day. We made a reservation and had a wonderful new experience with this restaurant. We sat near a warm fire while Sean our server did his best to give all of the recommendations for wine. We passed on the wine and went for some Hot Tea instead. We enjoyed a wonderful shrimp pasta entree and the Black and Blue Salmon entree. We also added a salad bar each to our meal. The food was delicious. The salmon might have been some of the best that I've ever had. Great choice to have it with blue cheese. We left very happy. read more

I'm excited to write this, even though a week late. My wife and I went on Valentine's Day for an early dinner. First let me explain, We are Landry members and have gone to all of those location in the den metro area. We were regular Morton's visitors. Unfortunately they closed. So we tried Chart House on two previous visits. Both were subpar. COVID closures on and off again and then labor shortages, probably caused this. It has been quite awhile since we last went. Ok we arrived 5:45 pm and were quickly seated. I anticipated a crammed dining area due to Valentines, but we were pleasantly surprised! It was busy but not so busy that it caused service issues! The service was great! The food was great. My wife ordered the salmon with miso offering and she enjoyed it! I had the NY. Perfectly cooked. Desert the cheesecake. I think we have found our Morton's replacement. We will go again soon. You should too. read more

4 stars for the 3 course meal for $41. The lobster bisque was very good. The rib eye was delicious and so were the mashed potatoes. The chocolate lava cake with chocolate ice cream was also great. My friend got the 3 course meal too but it falls at 1 star. His salad was mediocre. The salmon was pretty bad. Very flavorless sauce and the rice was sticky sweet rice. There was way too much going on that the whole dish was just really really really unpleasant. I'd come back for what I had... a little hesitant to try the other dishes! The ambiance was nice, classy, good views. I don't think they social distanced properly tho. The tables on all sides of us were filled and I felt too close to all of them. read more

This place is such a shame. I love the ambiance but we won't be returning unless they do an overhaul on the food and menu. Yesterday was our second visit. The service was fine and friendly but the food is just awful. I remember being underwhelmed our first visit and this last time was worse. Our dishes were loaded with salt and dry. We couldn't continue eating... we had to keep chugging water. My husband got steak and I got salmon. I sent my meal back.. my husband asked for a To go box to hide the fact that he didn't eat anything because we felt too bad. Additionally the sides looked and tasted old. The second the waiter put our plates down it looked like the sides were either over cooked or had been sitting under a warmer for far too long. They were hard. Sadly we were underwelmed by our dinner here, was SO hoping to love it. I've driven by it for years on our way to the mountains. Unfortunately everything was OK, lots of room for improvements. The water tasted like dirty dishwater, fish was overcooked, cheap nacho chips served with a shrimp appetizer. Just didn't feel worth the prices. We ordered an outrageously expensive Thanksgiving dinner for takeout. We drove an hour round trip to pick it up. The General Manager, Jason handed us the box and gave us his business card and told us to call him with any questions. I actually joked to my son as we walked to the car that we really should check the order but with the general manager taking a personal interest in takeout orders, I'm sure it's fine. Boy was I wrong! The mashed potatoes were missing. There is no salad dressing for the salad and the cranberry sauce is missing. I have called repeatedly and no one has answered the phone. I even called Jason's number from the business card. It's just the main restaurant number that no one answers. I cannot begin to express how disappointing our dinner is. We were their last night. I really don't know where to begin. Trying to find something positive to say, but just not possible. About 25% full. We were in the side room with about 15 tables and we were there only people in there. Yet, when we inquired where our drinks were 25 minutes after our order, the waiter said "the bar was really busy". That was just the beginning of a two- and one-half-hour miserable experience. Every time we left the room to inquire about starting food service, and getting it served, it was the same story. We are understaffed and your waiter is too busy right now. I mean our order was really simple. The food: The lobster bisque was good. That's it. Martini served up was watered down and warm. Mediocre steak...how do you screw up a filet? Not serving it when it ready is one way. It was just a terrible experience. Richard our waiter was nice enough, but simply didn't grasp the gravity of the situation. It was clear, he had given up and this situation is all to familiar to him. They were out of a dozen entrees, and he considered our problem to be well out of his control. Management? I don't think there was anyone on the premises. If so, they were invisible. I know Landry restaurants can be pretty iffy, but this experience solidified my commitment not to go back to this restaurant or any other managed by these people. read more

So sad to see a very good and expensive restaurant and experience struggle so much. We started out great with fast service and fantastic drinks and soup/salad and that is unfortunately where everything turned and went downhill. It was a Monday night, so not a busy crowd but 30-min after or soup and our meals hadn't arrived we were told they we out of three of our parties orders. After changing, our food finally arrived over an hour after the first course. Our wait staff became scarce as it done think they wanted to give the bad news in the food delays. Finally it arrived and was mediocre, not cooked well, missing spices and I'm some cases main ingredients. Medium steaks arrived arrived bleeding which is not acceptable but we ate what we had for fear of more delays. We had desserts coming with our meals. And another production which took 35 min for them to arrive, some with burnt edges. Very sad. Overall a 3-hr experience which is not what I hoped for when booking a major celebration event. With an over $400 bill, definitely not what I expect in quality and service for a Chart House. Very sad. read more

Went with a party of seven this past weekend. The food was "okay", and frankly, for the price, a little disappointing. I've been going to Chart House restaurants for decades and it seems like the quality just isn't there anymore. The locations are usually prime, with great views, and this location is too. I ordered the ahi tuna, rare, grilled, and it was alright, but not something I'd rush back for, and at $37, not exactly worth it. The opinions of the other guests were similar. What was delicious was the lava cake and our table had two of them. These need to be ordered in advance. The drinks were okay. DINER BEWARE and informed! There are Specials menus only presented upon request, poor communication, and uncommunicated upcharges. I had the macadamia crusted Mahi. It was plated nicely, juicy, and flavorful. (Food - 3+). My server was friendly, and, at least initially, relatively attentive. My overwelming concern was the almost deceitful service practices. I was seated by, I presume, the manager, by his later involvement in an issue with the check, and presented with the standard dinner menu. From a Landrys Select Club email, I was aware of a Tuesday/Thursday Prime Rib Special for the month of March, but despite mentioning my membership was only presented with this menu after specifically inquiring, when the server was not aware of the prices. One would expect the server, two weeks into the promotion, and in fair promotion of Landrys Restaurants to inquire about Landrys Loyalty Membership and share this option. Similary, one might have expected the manager to have done the same and provided this menu. Being my first visit, I was torn between the Prime Rib Special that had initiated my visit and the highly recommended seafood. I also inquired about the inviting "Farmers Bar" (salad bar) and was told this could be added to any meal for half price - $10. I selected the Mahi and requested to substitute Creamed Spinach for the Asian Green Beans. All sides were identically priced on the menu, there was no mention of any upcharge, and I was given the impression, having called the day prior inquiring about the Prime Rib Special that the accompanying side could be substituted. Sometime after placing my order, and before it arrived, I returned to my car to retrieve a charger for my phone, passing by a sign, visible only on exit, for a Sunday - Thursday, $29 3-course meal. I requested to see this menu, since, though I was told by the manager it would run for a couple of months and invited back for it, evidently this menu is by request only also, since he did not share or present it upon seating me. One would also imagine, that the server, given my dilemma between steak or seafood would have at least suggested the somewhat appealing options on this menu of the steak and shrimp, (or seafood platter) which also included the option of adding the Farmers Bar for just $4 more. Respectfully believing it was too late to change my order, I enjoyed my Mahi and creamed spinach. When the check arrived I noted there was an additional $7 charge for the creamed spinach. Believing this an oversite, I brought this to the attention of my server stating: "I seem to have been charged for the substitution." Her initial reply was: "That's right!" Only after persisting that I understood it to be a substitution, that she did not communicate any upcharge, and that she did not bring it in addition to the green beans, while charging full price for the item, did she offer to speak to her manager. Ultimately, the this was removed with an explaination from the manager that substituting the creamed spinach or mushrooms was charged as a full side. While ultimately removed, the entire experience seemed unecessarily repetitive, distasteful, unprofessional, and drawn out. Regardless of menu pricing and restaurant pretentiousness, I do expect both a server and the manager to present all available options and honestly communicate any upcharges. An experience that could have exposed me, as a new diner, to the variety of the restaurant, basically left me with a lack of desire to return. read more

I had fond memories from the Hoboken location on the east coast, but this one didn't measure up. Maybe things have changed over the years, or maybe it's the location. I placed a to-go order which was estimated to be ready 30 minutes from the time the order was placed. I was hiking Genesee at the time, so I arrived just past the one hour mark after finishing the trail only to find the food still wasn't ready. Took about another 10 minutes. They were busy, but if I were sitting at the restaurant waiting an hour and 10 minutes for the food, I would have got up and left already. Ordered the chicken for $25, plus a $1.50 "takeout fee" that replaced the larger tip I was going to give them (might want to rethink that; I don't think most people will tip on top of an order fee). Got home to find it was literally a single small chicken breast cut in half. The image on the website had some garnishes - cherry tomatoes, greens, and whatnot - but my meal had none, just two asparagus sprigs which tasted too nasty to finish (and I normally really like grilled asparagus!) The chicken wasn't terrible, but it was bland and I needed to add a fair amount of seasoning to it. Given the small portion, it also left me unfilled. And since the entree cost $30 after the tax and fees, I also felt ripped off for this single chicken breast. So to summarize: slow, expensive, weird fees, small portions, and not particularly tasty. One plus amid all the negatives is that the staff were very friendly, but it's not enough to bring me back. read more

I was hesitant to go here based on the poor reviews, and having been to the one in Boston right on the wharf, but we booked a dinner here for last night. We made a reservation for 6 but arrived about 5:20 to check out the bar. We were greeted immediately and told to take our pick of seats in the bar. A server came to our table within a few minutes for our drink order. Drinks arrived quickly and were good. We added another round and appetizer which both came promptly. The appetizer was an artichoke dip that could have used a few more pieces of bread to go with it as we had dip left over and were out of bread but the flavor was good. We were seated to our table right at 6 and the waiter greeted us immediately and got us going with appetizers. Lobster bisque was good, but the seared ahi was fantastic! For entrees we ordered a filet mignon and baked haddock. Both were perfectly cooked, flavorful, and came with sides that worked well with the main course flavor. We did add a couple of deserts that were fantastic and finished the night with a glass of wine. On the whole our experience was great: the food was good with some of it excellent, and the service and atmosphere were perfect. I can't think of anything I'd ask them to do better. read more

My family & I have been going to the Chart House for many, many years! Always had an excellent experience! We decided to make reservations for Christmas Eve thinking we would be able to order off their regular menu. They ended up have a set menu, which, in and of itself was a good menu. The problem was that because the restaurant was packed, not all items came to the the table in it's best condition. For example, the Caesar salad came out with limp lettuce, dry as a bone, as though it had been sitting there for a very long time. The steak was excellent, but not enough sauce and not as heat hot as I would have liked. And the mashed potato skimpy side was cold - bummer! We didn't complain because our waiter, Gary, was wonderful! But for $75 per plate we were very disappointed. I know it was Xmas Eve & packed - but that is not an excuse!
