It was my first time coming here with my daughter. The last time I came here it was still 'Coffee Bean' the space is just how I remembered still very spacious for studying and getting work done. The place is kept clean and very minimalistic. I ordered the honey lavender latte which was flavored very well and the lox toast which was very delicious as well too. Perfect amount of cream cheese and capers and a drizzle of olive oil. My daughter ordered a ham and cheese crioissant and their MM matcha. This is the rebranded Able Coffee Roasters and they are just as friendly, welcoming, and delicious as ever! We came in on a Saturday morning after brunch, and it wasn't yet too busy. There were a few folks on the sides that were set up to study/work, and my friends and I took a few chairs at the long table in the middle after ordering just to chat. I've enjoyed both Sensory and Spanish lattes, and I LOVE that they offer alternative milks with such little compromise to the flavor of the coffee! This time I decided to try out the honey lavender latte which was the perfect mix of earthy coffee and sweet floral notes. I truly enjoy coming in! There's so much open space and seating, so whether you need to study and get work done, or chat and catch up with friends, there's a place for you! This place had a nice concept but unfortunately ran short of my expectations, ordered the MM matcha which tasted like straight milk and the only thing saving it was the strawberry cold foam. Over priced and just not priced well enough for the quality. Not only that but we seen a roach crawling on our table and had no choice but to just get up and leave. Saw a lot of not so good reviews about the matcha so my trick to ordering it if you want to actually taste the matcha: order with an extra scoop of matcha and 1-2 pumps of vanilla for sweetness. It tasted perfect when I ordered like that. The breakfast sandwich was about $10 and was pretty good. The staff was all super helpful and friendly. A lot of college students there, it is right across the street from csuf. Theres a lot of tables and the vibe is very chill. They also play good music. read more

My girlfriend and I were excited to try this place because we had seen their marketing and the matcha looked amazing. Ambiance was great and the staff members were very sweet, and i love that they give disabled individuals a chance to work! I would come back to try the food, but if you're looking for good matcha, steer clear. We got the strawberry matcha, and i don't think they use ceremonial grade matcha because it was grainy and watered down. It looked beautiful but sadly the taste did not match up. The drink itself was pretty good, the cinnamon enhanced it. I probably would have added something else for a spark in flavor. I do feel like it was missing something. The cheese danish was unique. My daughter and I stopped in on Thanksgiving, one of the few places that were open and were warmly welcomed by the staff. They had a great selection of food and drinks, along with seasonal items to choose from as well. The staff was helpful and gave us suggestions as to what to order based on our preferences. The coffees and food were ready faster than other coffee places and everything was delicious. We will definitely be back and want ti give a shout out to the barista, Joe, he did an amazing job on steering us in the right direction with our drink order and making two amazing lattes and the waffles (can't go wrong). Visited this coffee shop while I was at CSUF - right across the street. Parking was plentiful but be mindful to not park in time limited spots if you're planning to study/work for long. Got the CCR orange cream foam latte (3/5). It was just pretty like the orange slice and slight orange tint but the taste was like any normal latte with a foam cap. Drink is slightly more expensive than other coffee shops but love the mission and that it employs non traditional employees with special needs. For studying/working there is lots of natural light and seating in booths and long tables for large groups as well. The circle table right at the entrance has lots of working outlets! If you don't see a table in the front, there is a whole seating section in the back! Noise level isn't too bad since I went on a Thursday morning. Lots of students/professors coming in and out. Looks like most people get food! Maybe I'll have to grab something in the future. read more

Walking in, I was surprised how spacious it was in the coffee shop. The interior was very clean and modern. I came here around 9 am and asked the employee about their most popular drinks. i really want to like this place, i really do... it's so close to CSUF, extremely walkable and is the building right next to college park i love the business itself and i absolutely love how inclusive they are drink wise, i've only had their mango matcha and it was one of the worst matchas i've had in my life honestly speaking... very watery, no matcha flavor, and tasted like clumpy matcha with milk (more milk than matcha) on the other hand, their steak burrito makes up for the drink, it's super yummy and good value for your money imo overall, i think the business is great! just needs some work on their matcha drinks i'd love to comeback soon to give them another chance, and maybe try something besides matcha here :) read more

I live a few blocks from this coffee shop and I finally stopped by for the first time today. My only regret is not coming sooner!!! First off, the interior is super spacious with a lot of booths, seating, and large tables great for meetings or large study groups. My first thought was I want to come back ASAP to utilize the workspace! It's probably the largest working space (in terms of coffee shops) in the area. Though I'm sure it gets packed when school is in session! As for the drinks, I got the spanish latte and my husband got the CCR cold brew with a yummy foam. We loved them both! I usually order spanish lattes wherever I go, and sometimes they are too milky or too sweet but this one is just right. We also got a cheese danish and it was delicious! All the pastries in the glass looked soo good. Planning to come back soon to try the matcha (and their seasonal drinks- the summer menu had so many options that sounded amazing, wanted to try them all!) and their food. I've been here a few times, some of their mixed flavored coffees are OK. But their baseline Americano and baseline drip coffee is not great. Tastes very watery. Thought I would give it another shot on a walk, stopped by for a cup very close to black with a splash of cream and a half a teaspoon of sugar. Tasted like I was drinking coffee flavored water. I had a few sips and threw away about 3/4 of a cup while walking through campus. Although I respect and admire their philosophy, the coffee isn't good at all. read more

Chase Coffee Roasters is the perfect spot if you're looking for a good latte and a quiet, spacious space to study. I usually order the CCR cold foam latte, and it never misses! The people who give this place negative reviews because the prices are "too high" and the "service is bad" clearly cannot appreciate a good coffee shop, and would be better off staying at home with their Keurigs. The prices are very fair compared to LA and OC coffee shops AND their mission of creating job opportunities and inclusive spaces for people with disabilities is amazing. Love the message behind this coffee shop. However, service needs work. I ordered a lox bagel and was told it would take up to 30 mins, which was fine with me. I don't mind waiting if there is communication beforehand. It ended up not actually taking that long but it didn't come with the red onions... wasn't gonna say anything but it was $15 after tax. So I waited patiently at the bar. Made eye contact with the person on register but there was a line and it was busy so it was fine. But she just kept taking orders for customers who joined the line after I got to the bar rather than helping me out, so I got in line too... At this point I don't even care about the red onions, I'm just wondering why I can't be helped properly?? Worst part is, the whole thing took about 20 minutes just for her to tell me they're out of red onions.
