We loved our delicious fried clam and haddock dinners last night. We started out with the thick and creamy clam chowder which was loaded with clams onions and potatoes. No bacon and no dried herbs! Spent the week on the Cape and by far the best meal we had was from here. Small scale, family run, great value for your dollar and worth every penny. Chatham Fish and Chips is a great location near the US Coast Guard Chatham Lighthouse + beach. The area is beautiful and the streets are lined with hydrangea flowers. The food was delicious including the sauces and coleslaw. I highly recommend ordering the clam strips. The fries and onion rings are pretty basic but the seafood is cooked well. There is also a selection of jerk chicken and other dishes to try. I recommend this place to couples, small families, and solo travelers because there is picnic seating for everyone indoors and outdoors based on your preference. read more

This place shocked me! Incredible. Best lobster roll we had on our Labor Day stay in Cape Cod and we tried about six different places. I was turned off by the $28 price tag for the lobster roll/fries/coleslaw, but we split it all and it actually was a filling lunch for two. So much lobster in the roll and the toasted roll tastes grilled, which gives the lobster roll a hamburger taste which was exquisite and delicious. It all was so fresh an abundant. Even the coleslaw was the best we had - clearly just made. 5 stars!!!!! read more

The food was excellent! We both had a cup of chowder which was delicious and my husband had fish and chips which come with fries and onion rings. The onion rings were not greasy and nice and light like they should be. I had broiled scallops with rice pilaf which was delicious. It's a sit down restaurant but u go to the counter and order your food and drinks and they give you a tray. They do bring the food to you but it's not your traditional style dining. They have indoor and outdoor seating. Paper plates which didn't bother us. We would definitely dine there again. read more

We will be eating here on a daily basis while out here The lobster rolls have a very generous amount of lobster! Low on mayo and no celery in their mix which we love. The fish and chips were so lightly battered -you didn't feel like you were eating greasy food. The salads were so fresh although the dressing was forgotten so double check. The broiled scallops were yummy with that great grilled flavor! The only meh item was the chowder which was thin and didn't have much in it. More like a soup than chowder. read more

Ordered clam chowder and an oyster po'boy to go. The clam chowder is pretty good -- not up to the Yelp reviews in my opinion....but the Oyster Po'boy...WOW!!! Amazing!! This sandwich, made on a sub roll, consists of truly the most incredible, heavenly fried oysters I've ever eaten. Alone worth the rare five star rating I've awarded here. This sandwich is worth a journey to come back for another someday. There were at least 15 oysters stuffed in the sandwich, along with coleslaw. The oysters were dusted with an Old Bay- like seasoning and had a mild kick to them. They were batter fried, light and fluffy. It is just wonderful to try a new restaurant t and discover a gem! Congratulations to the cook! We'll done! Side commentary: raw oysters on the half shell around Cape Cod go for about $3 - $3.50 apiece. I cannot understand why...The Po'boy I just ate had 15-20 whole bellied oysters and cost only $12.50! read more

Located in a strip mall, with zero ambience, you wouldn't think to stop in. But the fish and chips here is probably the best in Cape Cod. Light and crispy, and always tastes fresh. While driving around Chatham looking for the fish pier and the seals, we accidentally came upon Chatham Fish & Chips at lunch time. What a pleasant surprise! The service was quick and very friendly, and the food was outstanding! I got the fish & chips plate and my wife got the clam strips. We both had the chowder too. The food was delicious, the helpings were substantial, and the prices were reasonable. The restaurant is also VERY clean, including the restrooms. Easily the best fried seafood on the Outer Cape, and better than the rest in Chatham. Generous portions of perfectly crisp seafood, fries and excellent onion rings. We sampled a variety of the different fried offerings - the fish (haddock), shrimp and oysters were very tasty, so care has been taken to insure top-shelf seafood before it goes into the fryer. Nicely crisp without a hint of being heavy, and the coating is light and lets the flavorful seafood shine through. Tarter sauce had the right blend of pickle, onion and mayonnaise and the coleslaw was slightly tangy but not too sweet. Well done! Plenty of parking and both indoor and outdoor covered seating. Best lobster roll on the cape. Comes with chips which is not my thing, but can be substituted with fries. Getting a table, especially for a big party can be a daunting wait, but it is one of the places on the cape you can go without a reservation. This restaurant is about 2 blocks off the Main Street of Chatham. I had fish sandwich and they broiled it for me, my wife and daughter had fish and chips. Nice outside dining if you want , portions were good , fish was fresh and prices reasonable. Also had onion rings they were also great. Friendly staff , I would go back. read more
