The food and service were excellent appetizers to desert delicious!! The staff was pleasant and knowledgeable of everything on the menu. The menus are large iPads with photos of all the items which was great!! The ambiance was very nice. I don't mind a loud restaurant, but if it's not your thing, definitely try this place in the summer where you can sit outside. Or maybe try going during the week. I would recommend this place to my friends and family and will definitely be going back to try other items on the menu. read more

Excellent !!! Very accommodating and attentive to our needs. We were 2 couples last night , shared the stuffed artichoke and baked clams for apps and all our entree were spot on. We had the halibut, lamb chops , chicken parm vodka and cavatelli with sausage and Rabe's. We thought the food was excellent and Joe Jr is an excellent host. It was Sunday before the 4th so not packed and maybe service was extra good. My comment about the one star rating people that complain about prices - those are the Cheapo's that should stay home and eat !! Food costs are up as is gas - inflation exists- stop complaining !! They are there to make a profit - don't be so fast to ruin a reputation. For transparency , I have nothing to do with that place and just met Joe jr - Place is the bomb and doesn't need customers that bitch all the time. read more

This restaurant had some of the best Italian food I've ever had. But... the acoustics are so bad, we could barely hear each other. Six of us were there and we all said despite the great service and scrumptious food we wouldn't return because of how loud both the diners and the music was. in addition, despite relatively pricey food, there is a 3% surcharge for using a credit card, which I don't believe was on the menu, and there is a $2.50 surcharge for whole wheat pasta. Whole wheat pasta cost the same as duram pasta. When restaurants do that, I feel nicked and dimed. read more

Incredibly disappointed by our most recent experience at Chatterbox Pleasantville. Our family has been coming here for years, including the last couple New Year's Eves. This year, we made a 4pm dinner reservation knowing that we were coming with a 1yr old who would only last so long and trying to be thoughtful of being out of their hair before the dinner rush. When we arrived, there was not a single table seated, but we were told the only table available to us was the one directly in front of the kitchen door because the other tables needed to be configured for larger groups later in the night. In theory, a plausible response, but it was clearly a lie as the other tables were set for dinner service as configured and the wait staff even placed menus on those tables as a final step as we ate. We were told we could only have a different table if we promised to be quick, with 5pm suggested. When we left at 5:15, there were 2 other tables seated in the entire restaurant. My wife and I just finished a great dinner at chatterbox . The restaurant had a good crowd for a Wednesday, so we caught a seat at the bar. There are Multiple big Tvs, so it's good spot to watch the Yankee game. Joe and Ricky were very friendly and welcoming , as it was our first time there. The food : we had a salad and baked clams for appetizer. Both very good. Best baked clams I've had in a while . I had the bone in veal scap, ; it was huge and delicious . My wife has the lobster ravioli -also excellent. They gave us an Oreo martini for desert which was a nice gesture . We definitely will be back soon and highly recommend it to others ! read more

The service was great.. Loved the open doors .Tables are a bit small if you are a large person.... . Everyone loved their dinners. We had chicken franchise lobster ravioli cheese ravioli and the cavatelli with broccoli rabe and sausage. The only thing I didn't like was the appetizer of potato slices with some sort of vinegar thing on them. Tasted ok but soggy!! Desserts were yummy too, and they had some interesting cocktails. This was my first time at Chatterbox. The atmosphere was great! The drinks came quickly and the food was awesome! We sat at the bar and the bar tenders could not have been nicer. They really made our experience! This is a fun, lively place to go for a night out. Highly recommend. Will definitely be going back! read more

The food was very good...was here with my family at a table of five and everybody liked their dishes a lot (albeit I had the shrimp francese and it was a bit overwhelmingly lemony and I love lemon). However there are two big issues, one dangerous. First, the music is ear-deafeningly loud making it impossible to converse with people across the table. Also it was a strange playlist of really old-timey seventies soft rock and disco more suited to a wedding--and I grew up in the seventies and love this music but not when eating pasta! Want bread not Bread. We all thought it was strange. Just turn it down a notch and vary it! Second and more importantly, this is the most crowded restaurant I have ever been in, and I live in Manhattan. The tables are mostly round and so close that you literally cannot get through. My mother, who uses a walker, had to have multiple patrons stand up and push in their chairs to get by. There is even a table a few feet in front of the swinging kitchen doors. My sister's partner, an architect, who was with us concurred that these close tables are a big fire hazard. If one of the fire-cracker candles on the birthday cakes gets knocked over as a waiter attempts to wriggle through the table maze to get to a table and a fire started, people in the back half of the restaurant have zero means of egress. Please take out a few tables for the safety of the patrons, change up and lower the music a tad, and this would be five stars! read more

We've been eager to try this new Pleasantville hot spot so went there tonight to celebrate my wife's birthday. As 36 year residents of the area we were happy to see a new establishment. She had the shrimp appetizer and then the halibut for the main course. My daughter and I had other dishes. Within a half hour of leaving my wife became incredibly nauseous and has had a serious bout of vomiting. I called the restaurant, more to warn them about potentially bad fish and Joe Jr at first tried to tell me that food poisoning takes at least 24 hours to kick in (that's not accurate) and that the fish was fresh today. Maybe, but it could have been unsanitary conditions, someone didn't wash their hands etc. All I know is she felt totally fine going in and totally awful shortly after leaving. He then said he'd "do something for us when we went back". This isn't a money thing, it's about not getting sick from the food you've been served and a ruined evening. Having said that, the wait staff was fantastic and the place was packed. But that's small consolation for feeling absolutely terrible after the meal. UPDATE: The owner apologized and did the right thing by reversing the cost for the meal. This could happen anywhere but hopefully they'll be extra careful in the future. I appreciate how they handled this. read more

Really disappointing experience. The food was meh and much more expensive than at their other location ($40 risotto, $50 steak, $42 veal...) It was so loud we couldn't hear the waiter - the music was blaring plus the loud bar crowd. The service was outright bad (didn't know the menu, couldn't name the types of white wine they had, took 25 minutes to get a drink...). Won't be coming back. read more

Another Westchester winner. Lively spot, but overlooks a parking lot. Inside is like a sports bar. Excellent service from Oxana. Very extensive menu of Italian classics. Generous portions. Had an excellent Caesar salad and then linguini with shredded shredded clams and shrimp fra diabolo. The pasta was hot and Al dente. Good wines by the glass. I came here on a whim. So glad I did. The appetizer , the drinks , the entree , the dessert! Wow ! First off, I was seated right away with a friendly staff member. The food came out hot and may I add delicious!!! To add a cherry on top, the owner was present, aware and very pleasant! I will be here often! You should too. All I have to say is WOW! We used to go to their former location and loved it, but Chatterbox Pleasantville is the SPOT! The atmosphere is lively and they always have something new going on! Food & drinks are amazing but I highly recommend any of the bone-in Veal chops, and my favorite is the capricosa! The music does get lively and significantly louder on Thursday/Friday/Saturday nights, but that is on-brand for the old school Italian charm that they're going for! Either you get it or you don't, but in my opinion this is the place to be! read more
