So I went back to give it another try, and sadly this is more than likely the last time. It's not like parking is readily available, so most times it was worth the hassle to get the croissants here. However, today was probably the worst of all the past few visits, and the past few have been bad. Today was definitely stale, tasted old, lackluster and definitely lacked butter (or at least it seemed it did), and for something that was my guilty pleasure, I took one bite and knew this wasn't right and just threw that $4.50 in the garbage. The calories to finish the croissant was not worth it. I spoke highly of the croissants to everyone I know and now I hope nobody I referred goes there and tries it based on my past recommendations. I arrived bright and early on a Sunday morning shortly after they opened and was greeted by a variety of temptations. I was the only customer there and quickly chose a plain croissant, almond croissant and a pain au chocolat, though I really wanted to just say yes to everything. The croissants were very flaky and I enjoyed peeling off the layers, basking in their buttery glory. My table was covered with flakes afterwards - totally worth it. Street parking was super easy, though it was a bit of a challenge getting there because of road closures in Beverly Hills. Chaumont is one of my favorite brunch spots/cafes in the area. They have a wide variety of French pastries to choose from and they are all equally delicious! My favorite is the french toast, it's a small portion so you can order it on top of whatever you're getting and have it for dessert! Pricing is on the higher side, but it's reasonable for the area. It's a small place but I usually find seating pretty quickly. The marble tables photograph really well with your food, so get ready to post!! It's 46 degrees and quite windy on an early December morning and I need my craving for a "pain au chocolat" or "chocolatine" satiated. (Those are the fancy yet accurate ways to say choclat croissant. Sunday, April 12, 2020 [Covid-19 Days] I order the same thing weekly Chocolate Croissant & the Avocado Smash last week it was perfect. Today the Avocado Smash was NOT smashed it was chunky, cherry [NOT mini heirloom] tomatoes barely cut in half, bacon on the side NOT on top, no tabasco, no seasoning NOT even the yummy salt they sprinkle on top. For the Granola at the price of $17.00 I had 100gr of a Chobani yogurt and 4 strawberries, half a banana and Granola.... and you are supposed to be the BEVERLY HILLS Boulangery? I was recently treated to the most beautiful breakfast picnic and the main selection was from this place! I was in carb heaven! Delicious coffee! There was one pastry aside from a breakfast croissant that was really delicious that I have not been able to get off my mind. And, just the other day a friend and I were driving by this business and my mouth started to water thinking of that delicious almond croissant I had die the lil picnic. Today, I stopped in with my pup to try the almond croissant first thing in the AM, nice, warm and fresh! I arrived just after 7am(when they open) and was third in line with a few tables of two already taken outside. Who am I to say that this is the best damn almond croissant I've had ever had in my whole life, I mean my grandmother was a professional pastry chef in Italy and France and can make anything at the drop of a hat. Best brunch I've had in a while! I'm not very big on "breakfast" food so I was happy to learn that they serve their lunch entrees all day. I got the chicken bowl and loved it. The soy glaze gives it an Asian taste while the mango salsa infuses some Mexican flavors. It's really good. Also comes in a big serving to fill you up. I couldn't pass up the croissants either. The 4-stars however are centered around that chocolate Pain Suisse, which was really, really good. This was my first time ever trying such an item, and I almost don't want to try it anywhere else since it was so perfect here. I actually savored it, although I wanted to swallow it whole, I took my time and I'm glad I did. Came here after seeing it on Instagram for a cute date with my girl. The place is beautiful!! If you look for cute, pink, and delicate cafes this is the place for you! I was immediately greeted by the staff and asked me if I was a first timer, which I was. He gladly went over the WHOLE menu, told me what were some of the fan favorites and what he liked about each pastry. After repeating the whole menu my girlfriend asked to use the restroom. I waited for her on the side and a huge line formed but as soon as she returned from the restroom he notified the line we were there way before them and they were going to service us and skipped us to the front of the line again... TALK ABOUT CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! Everything is Vegan and they even had a Gluten-Free Vegan Cookie option which was great!
