What a cool place! Randomly craved a toasted sub sandwich and found ChebaHut! After reading and checking the place out I knew that this was a stoners paradise. The atmosphere was pretty laid-back and it even had a bar with various specials. The sandwich I ordered was the White Widow, while it tasty, it could've been more seasoned. I'll definitely be back to taste more of the sandwiches.

Stopped in for happy hour on a Friday with a friend. We sat at the bar! Super comfy chairs. Bartender was so friendly and he made great drinks! We had a couple dirty hippie's, which were fantastic and a couple beers. I also had the Midwest best club sandwich, which was amazing. The bread was fresh and the toppings delicious. I honestly can't wait to go back. Was a great sandwich, but they also had so many other options that looked intriguing as well. Great prices, great service and great subs. What else do you need? Oh, they also had a $5 shot wheel if you're feeling courageous!

We specifically went here because we were in the mood for a sandwich! I'm not from the area, so I had no idea Cheba Hut was a chain. The food was so high quality, I just assumed it was a stand alone business. I got the kali mist and it was everything I hoped for, I love a spicy turkey sandwich. It was seasoned so well and just look at those tomatoes!! My friend got the dank pizza sub and said it was better than she could've imagined! We both agreed we would frequent this place if we lived in the area. Everyone working here was so kind and of course the vibe was great. Now that I know it's a chain, I hope Cheba Hut makes its way to New England!!

Not your average sub shop! Was shopping around Wicker Park with a friend and found Cheba Hut on Yelp. The reviews all looked great so we decided to check it out. Definitely exceeded our expectations. The service was excellent! I appreciated the commitment to the theme, it was super fun. Aesthetics aside, the food was incredible. I got a "dank nug", meaning I got a pizza sub, small. Would definitely be a regular if I lived in the area!!

Such good sandwiches with SOOO many options!!!!! I don't eat a lot of meat, so I was very happy when I saw how many veggie options they had. My roomate & I doordashed this after a night of going out & it was the perfect late night meal. Highly recommend!

Overall Thoughts: I love this chain; their sandwiches are so delicious and some of the best subs I've ever had. The ingredients are fresh and the bread is soft and top-tier. The value is incredible with massive, filling portions for a very reasonable price. The menu is packed with creative options for both vegetarians and meat eaters alike. I've also gotten food from their Wicker Park location on the TooGoodToGo app, which has always been solid! The staff at both locations are friendly, and though I've never sat and dined at either location before, the interiors have a good amount of seating and chill vibes. Food I tried: - Magic Mushroom (Teriyaki Shrooms) with Wheat Bread (4.6/5): This sandwich was delicious! It paired well with the wheat bread, which was denser but soft and moist, especially when soaking up the teriyaki sauce. It was packed generously with veggies, which gave it diverse textures, and the teriyaki sauce added a sweet, umami flavor. - The Kind (Turkey, Bacon, Shrooms) with Garlic Bread (4.5/5): This sandwich tasted really good too; the house dressing tasted light and delicious. The bread is soft and the light turkey flavors paired well with the bacon and other lighter veggie flavors. - Chocolate Krispy Bar (4.2/5): This came in one of my TooGoodtoGo bags; it was good-- very crispy and gooey, but wouldn't necessarily go out of my way to order it. - Mystery TooGoodtoGo Sandwiches (4.5/5): All the mystery sandwiches I've gotten from here on the TooGoodtoGo app have been delicious, leading me to conclude that you can't really go wrong with any sandwich from here-- they will all hit! -- Price (relative to peers): 4.4/5 Food: 4.5/5 Ambience: 4.6/5 Service: 5/5 Overall Value: 4.6/5

4.75 - first time here and I will say the sandwich itself is very tasty. Everyone here is kind as well. The only caveat is that we ordered our sub and waited 30 min because they forgot about our order. We were outside and checked on it and they made it up by offering two free drinks which was very nice. It does take longer to make their sandwiches but not that long. Inside everything is covered with stickers and it's very skater punk vibes in a way.

Wow!!! Amazing service and atmosphere. The workers are a whole vibe and we got our food in less than five minutes. We both got the AK and it was tewww good. Playlist was also fye. Will be back VERY soon.

It was cooked perfectly though. My friend nachos were delicious there was a light refreshing flavor with a pinch of heat because of the jalapenos. Definitely worth eating again. I like the drink options we had classic margaritas and oberon beer. The margaritas were delicious with good flavor and well balanced. The beer nice, cold, and crisp. I would return... We were welcomed nicely. Service was really nice. The menu though-- drinks and food are on another level. Everything is just elevated a little bit more. We were going to order at the counter, but we were offered paper menus and told we could take a seat in the front area if we'd like to have our coffees there. I ordered the Black Walnut & Honey latte ($7) that was really mild on flavor. My husband had the Crème Brulee latte ($10), which was better but noticeably smaller. The Cinnamon Roll ($8) was fine, but it wasn't worth $8, and it wasn't heated all the way through. Unfortunately, I didn't like the Confit Mushroom Egg & Cheese Sandwich ($6) at all. It wasn't hot, and the smell was a bit off-putting. Despite a lackluster experience, the real disappointment hadn't sunk in yet. When I got home and glanced at our receipt, I realized that they had charged a mandatory additional 20% service fee. I at first thought my husband had unexpectedly left a large tip, but I checked their menu again and saw that it says "For dine in service only: When your bill arrives, it will have a 20% service charge added to the subtotal. This we use to compensate our staff as they deserve for their exceptional work. As such no additional gratuity is expected." I have of course seen this practice done at full service restaurants, but I wasn't expecting this for a café visit simply because we chose to sit and drink our coffees there instead of taking them to go. It was a bit of an awkward space as it was, and we were still going up to the counter to get our food and drinks and carried our plates up when we were done.

I should have ordered 4 of them right off the top but how could we know that it would be a leap year before he'd be back to take our food order? We still didn't have appetizers but one of the servers kept bringing plates to our table that weren't meant for us and we'd send him away. I now wish we hadn't. The appetizers eventually crawled up the stairs on their own one at a time and made it to our table but the Duck fried rice collapsed at the South Summit and returned to base camp. They should call this place Roofus. The beleaguered manager apologized for the lack of being fed anything of significance and we exited down the stairs through the bakery and past the day old donuts just outside of our reach.
