Cheddars is always a "hit" for me and this location was no different. Our party of 5 was seated right away around 6pm the day after Christmas. The warm croissants are always the perfect way to start a meal here. Within our group, we ordered chicken Alfredo pasta, fish fingers, vegetable platter, lemon pepper chicken, and I had the grilled tilapia and shrimp. Everything was excellent and most people had left overs. We also places to-go orders of a buffalo wrap and chicken pot pies. For the 5 meals at the restaurant and 2 to-go orders, the total was just under $100. This was a GREAT deal, especially in today's economy. Can't wait to return.

Soon as I walked in I was greeted nicely and seated very quickly. The service definitely is top tier. When you enter you're met with a giant fish tank to dine by or look at and the fans are unique, the ambiance of the restaurant is amazing. I started with their homemade onion rings, spinach artichoke dip and chips, and also chicken tenders with honey mustard, and chips and salsa, it was pretty good. For dinner I went with a Ribeye Steak medium well and it was super tender, I got a loaded baked potato for a side, and also some steak fries which were delicious too. The deserts are also not to be slept on, the chocolate cake looked delicious but I didn't try it! I'd definitely be back! If you're thinking about going, go!

My nieces decided they wanted to get dinner here. The women at the hostess stand were extremely nice. Our waitress was amazing & very patient with us (sometimes 3 kids can be a little challenging when it comes to ordering). My nieces had fun and enjoyed all of their food. We ordered the monster cookie for dessert and it was gone within minutes. My only complaint is that it was extremely cold inside the restaurant.

It has been a hot minute since we've gone to Cheddars. We had $40 gift card to use but didn't want to eat in. We did curbside. First of all, we didn't even have a chance to check-in on the app. The young lady who delivered our food recognized the truck as described when I placed the order. Due at 7:55, we got there at 7:57. We took the 15 minute drive home and open up our large bag with all the food accounted for!! My oh my were we pleasantly surprised!! I did realize the ribs were going to be a 1/2 rack. There were 4 huge chicken tenders as well. I did a $.99 upcharge for the salad, then got red beans and rice as a side. This meal was less than $20!! My wife got the chicken tenders platter with upcharge on side house salad and upcharge for the bacon cheddar mashed potatoes. With the two sides her meal was less than $15. One picture shows what we had remaining after we had filled ourselves. 5 tenders and 4 bones of ribs. The only problem would have been the warmth or coolness of the food. The ribs weren't cold, but cool. The tenders were warm. We did travel 15 minutes and some of that is expected. But I'm not complaining because the food was really good!! I'll talk about ambiance to satisfy this review. Always enjoy the atmosphere of the restaurant as well when we've eaten in. Ambiance:

Okay so we decided to come here last minute, and honestly wish we woulda gone somewhere else. we came in at about 930/10 on a sunday night. our server was friendly but literally messed up multiple things with our order. so my boyfriend made it clear he wanted an extra piece of texas toast to go along with his pasta. he was brought out his pasta first then a few minutes later his side of rice with frozen butter on top. we waited another 5-7 minutes on his texas toast. He wanted to eat the toast and the pasta together, so of course by the time it was brought out, his entree was cold. Our server was no where to be found until she brought out 2 regular pieces of bread. with FROZEN, yes frozen butter. if she knew they didn't have the texas toast like is shown in the picture she should have notified us. Needless to say he wasn't happy with his meal. On the other hand mine was great, but nearly half of it was one before he received all his food. I asked for broccoli and yet she brought me broccoli casserole. So I ordered the watermelon margarita on the rocks. I was brought out a frozen margarita swirl. Told her it was the wrong one so she brought out the correct one. In the picture a slice of watermelon is on the glass, well not mine. Highlight of our meal was the HUGE chocolate cake which also took her a very long time to bring out. In fact she handed us our bill before even asking if we wanted anything else. We actually got another server and told them if she isnt already on the way out with it she could just keep it. Unfortunate and poor experience at this location. I have never had this many issues with a cheddar's. and unfortunately this was my boyfriends first time eating at one and he isn't excited to try it again after his first visit.

The server was a very nice and helpful woman with a sense of humor. The red beans and rice were a bit salty. We asked to be seated in the bar area were they had several televisions tuned to different sports events. What a great place to spend lunch.

A Monte Cristo to rival Disney's, cole slaw better than KFC and a Bloody Mary that is on point! Service was great too, overall a surprisingly great lunch!

A dill pickle slice and a piece of white bread are also included in the meal deal, including a drink. The coating on the chicken tenders is crunchy and every bite had just the right amount of Tweener heat. The dipping sauce was tangy and helped mitigate the heat. The kale salad is one of my favorite sides and I order it whenever available. It is lightly dressed and has currants and almonds for added crunch and flavor. We were able to order on the app for quick pickup and even had accrued points to get an additional tender as a promotion, which was a nice surprise. It doesn't take long to generate enough points to garner a loyalty reward. Our order was prepped and ready for pickup when we arrived shortly thereafter. Staff were welcoming and friendly. Looking forward to future visits.

I stopped and got a chicken tender combo, HOT, and it was perfection. The heat here is always an amazing combo of clearing out your sinuses, but carefully built flavor, too. How are these tenders so dang juicy? They brine them! How many spots that are doing chicken tenders do all that? I got their mashed potatoes and gravy. Delish! Also with a little kick. And even their coca cola was spicy! (Not heat spicy, but amazingly carbonated!) Everything came out fresh, hot and delicious. And shout out to Mickey, who is the GM here. She is always so friendly and sweet.

The restaurant includes a long row of bar seating that extends to the other end of the restaurant, so there was no problem for me to find a seat on a busy day. I ordered the Mac n cheese and braised greens, and the Mac n cheese was really good and creamy. The braised greens were just okay, it wasn't the best greens I've had and it could use extra flavor. I don't know if this is a thing they do at Doc Crow's, but in my opinion the bartender excessively kept asking me what I wanted even while I was still looking at the menu. This definitely frustrated me since it was clear that I wasn't ready yet. I think she should have done a better job reading my cues to figure out when I am ready to order.

My top-tier chum who literally went to the school of hospitality and I spent most of the afternoon on a bourbon tour and a post-tour distillery so...food was needed. And quickly. In our mild defense, we didn't really know how the day was going to go or when we were actually going to have dinner, which made it a little tougher to pre-plan, but no research went into this at all and we paid for it. We wrapped up our bourbon adventures at the Angel's Envy distillery probably five or six blocks from here. Instead of being grownups and doing at least a quick/impromptu recon for spots, we literally just walked outside and down W Main St until we hit something. And we hit this, which was right on the edge of the main tourist area, pretty much Louisville's equivalent of the Times Square/MSG area. And as someone who works and used to live in NYC, you'd have to do a lot of convincing to get me to eat in that particular area - it's overpriced and the food/service just tends to not be very good, which makes you wonder what the appeal is for tourists beyond the convenience. But regardless, it's always struck me as an odd way for a tourism spot to put its best foot forward (or not). Doc Crow's is enormous, and when we were brought further into the restaurant to our table, I think we literally walked through three or four large rooms and navigated through multiple passageways. If you told me this place took up an entire city block or close to it, I'd believe you. Beyond the size/scope, there's nothing really distinctive that separates it from the myriad of other restaurants you'd expect to see catering to out-of-towners. It was the Friday evening of Memorial Day Weekend, so a place that I suspect is usually pretty busy was even busier and louder than that. Maybe not the greatest recipe after a bourbon tour, but who can say. On the app front, we got the Crispy Salmon Bites, which were fine. Not an item I typically see on a menu, even one with more of a seafood bent. I thought the cornmeal/panko breading was the right call; I'm a big catfish aficionado, so I'm of the opinion that cornmeal is underutilized, at least in the Northeast where I come from. Otherwise, nothing really mind-blowing there; probably would have made sense for it to be a different type of fish given the prep (I think salmon is best raw in a sushi roll or grilled), but it could have been worse. I don't think a ton of thought went into this on my end, but I went with the full rack BBQ ribs, along with a side of mac n' cheese. Again, okay, though not as flavorful as I would have hoped and I thought the ribs were on the dry side. Not their fault, but I always regret getting the full rack in hindsight because ribs have a deceptively significant amount of meat on the bones and a half rack is a very decent portion by itself; I am a work in progress just like everyone else. The mac n' cheese was also pretty dry, which I think you can see pretty obviously in the accompanying picture. Tasted and felt reheated at least once or twice. The service was pretty efficient given how busy it was, but our waiter was just on robotic autopilot. Not remotely personable and everything I said to him was responded to with, "For sure, for sure." Maybe he was having a rough night to start the holiday weekend, but it felt like he was just going through the motions and just checking off some boxes there. I went into this already predisposed to not like the generic tourist trap places, so grain of salt. But my recommendation if you have the time/bandwidth (now that I'm a cagey Louisville vet) is to bypass this area if you can and find something tastier and more interesting in the Highlands neighborhood. That's where the real ones are.

First off - I love this local gem, and I think it was just an odd/off night. It started with a scary trip to the ladies room, and it was just a mess. The first part of our evening (meeting friends) was great. Cocktails were tasty and the music was vibing. Fried pickles were AWESOME. At one point, the bartender changed the record and it became crazy loud - we literally couldn't hear the person 2 feet away speaking. A member of our party got up and asked the bartender if he could turn it down (asked politely), and was ignored. Literally ignored - bartender looked at my friend and the just walked away (and not to turn down the music). Next cocktail was AWFUL... food came out, and it was hot but nothing great; fries were oily. Churros were tough and overcooked as well. Our server (a younger woman) was attentive and friendly, and that was the highlight of our visit. She did turn down the music when we asked (and after another table I believe also asked). It wasn't a busy night, and I love the vinyl vibe and cool venue - we will come back and try again, but when 3 cocktails, an appetizer, and entree cost close to $100 before tip (for 2 - our friends were the same, so $200 for a table), you really need to be on point and provide solid service.

My wife ordered chips and queso, a rather small serving of both, but I did think the jalapeños in the queso was a nice touch. Then, a bowl of gumbo that was a grand slam. Rich flavor packed with gumbo goodies. And to top things off, she went with shrimp tacos which you requested grilled rather than fried. She loved them. The only glitch was the server said the tacos come with a side of waffle fries, but were plated with more chips and queso. As we already ordered that item, she immediately offered to bring out the waffle fries. I went with a side salad, essentially a spring mix of greens with cheese strips. Nothing special. Then I ordered lemon pepper wings off the app menu. Served hot, well seasoned, but slightly dried out. The wings were a bit better (moist) in my previous visit. My only "ding" is some trivia type game they play on Friday evenings with some guy on a mic blasting "name that tune" questions. Distracting.
