I went to Longhorn's for lunch with friends after a long hiatus. I'm not a chain snob, I just don't get to go there often. I got one of the lunch deals, which was the Crispy Buttermilk Chicken Sandwich (hold the onions please!) with a side for $9.99. I chose the Loaded Potato Soup for the side, but wish I hadn't. Some of the potatoes were underdone and crunchy, and I've definitely had better potato soups. However, the sandwich made up for it in bounds! Firstly, it was huge, not something I could bite easily. It was nice and warm, the chicken was juicy and melted in my mouth. The pickles were sliced thick and were nice and crispy. It fell apart as I was eating, but I didn't care for once. It was so good, I just enjoyed it. I will be craving that sandwich, and probably making it a point to come back for lunch as soon as I can. Next time I'll get the asparagus, or brussel sprouts (which my lunch companions said were wonderful). Our server did a great job from start to finish, she stopped by regularly without being interruptive. She refilled our drinks before we needed to ask and offered to go cups at the end. I am generally not a a chain restaurant person but we were out doing errands, realized it was late and we were starving, and Longhorn was right there so why not? It was a bit of a wait but when we were seated bread and drinks came quickly. Our server was dealing with a table of nine next to us and did an amazing job of helping them while making sure we didnt feel neglected. I ordered the 6 oz. Renegade Sirloin with 8 ct. Redrock Grilled Shrimp (6 oz. center-cut sirloin is paired with two skewers of our Red Rock Grilled Shrimp, glazed with smoky tomato butter and served over rice.) This also came with 2 sides so I chose the Fresh Steamed Asparagus (Tender asparagus spears finished with our seasoned lemon sauce.) and the Sweet Potato (Freshly baked sweet potato loaded with cinnamon sugar and butter.) This is a massive amount of food which on its own is enough but my partner wanted to try the Seasoned Steakhouse Wings (Crisp chicken wings are baked, then fried, and finished with our signature, smoky Char Seasoning. Served with our housemade blue cheese dressing and Buffalo sauce.) OK, so the wings were fantastic, they were a good size and juicy - loved them. The steak and shrimp were surprisingly good for the price paid. The sweet potato was good, and I was glad I asked for the toppings to be on the side because otherwise it would have been too much. The rice was just OK, I didnt eat much of it because by this time my stomach was ready to pop I was so full. The only bad thing was the asparagus. It was limp, soggy and just an absolute salt bomb. One bite and I was done, which was a shame because they gave you a lot and so much went to waste. However all in all i was pleasantly surprised by Longhorn and would definitely come back - just have to remember to not over order and no more asparagus, haha read more

Had a late lunch and the entire dining experience was excellent...service and food. We were quickly seated in the bar area which was nice and quiet. The server quickly appeared and greeted us and left menus and took our drink orders. We ordered the 1/2 slab of BBQ ribs and a cup of Loaded Potato soup. Also ordered the 6 count of Chicken Tenders and the Parmesan Fries. We were served a warm loaf of butter while we waited for our dinners. Our server, Amelia was friendly, polite and efficient. She promptly took our orders. Have not been to the Longhorn for quite sometime so we were very surprised by the delicious ribs and the BBQ sauce and the hand breaded chicken tenders are some of the best, not the frozen air fryer type. We arrived shortly after 6pm for an early birthday celebration. Erica was our server. Perhaps restaurant was a little loud, because Erica was hard to hear and understand for both my wife and I. We started with the nice loaf of bread which seems like it is better than it used to be. We ordered the Shrimp appetizer which came out with our entrees. We usually order the shrimp appetizer and finish it before our meal arrives. It is goood. Wifey ordered the dinner salad. I ordered, for first time, Chopped steak with mushrooms and sauce with a DRY stuffed baked potato. I should have asked for some butter and/or sour cream. I wouldn't order this meal again. It was okay, but I left some behind. I could have used a refill of water. Usually, I eat all my food or take it home. On this occasion, we ordered chocolate cake with ice cream. Many years ago, before there were any Longhorns in the Louisville area, we dined at Longhorns in Florida. We loved it. We were extremely happy when Longhorn opened in the Eastern of Louisville. Even happer when they opened in Clarksville. When they first opened in Clarksville, we became regulars. So much so, the manager at the time would always come to our table and call us by name. Fast forward several years. The quality of food deteriorated and we just no longer enjoyed their food. Yesterday, after not dining here in years, we decided to give them another try. It was my wife's birthday and we took her friend with us. Sad to say, our meals were underwhelming. My wife and I both had Flo's Filet. Her side was a baked potato and she added a Caesar Salad. My side was what they call Crispy Brussel Sprouts. We both ordered our steaks Medium. Both steaks came out well done. Additionally, the steaks were supposed to be 6 ounces. Of course I didn't weigh them, but they both were the size of a thin small hamburger patty. My Sprouts, which they call Crispy, I describe as burned to a crisp. Additionally, the Sprouts were very hard. The one positive was my wife's salad was excellent. We complained to our waitress. To her credit, she took both our plates back. About 10 minutes later, we were served new meals. After receiving our meals, my steak was cooked correctly, but my wife's was still over done. I spent 60$ on a meal for just me. I ordered a medium rare ribeye. Came out rare, totally red on the entire inside. Unfortunately I had to send it back. It came back out to me kinda blackened on the outside and had a smell and taste of a dirty grill. As I was cutting into it there were black specks from the grill on it. It did not come out this way the first time! I guess they have a "special" spot on the grill for meat that comes back because they cook it wrong. I took the leftovers home. Another positive experience at Longhorn. I visited two nights in a row while in town for work. A great options for anyone- especially those on a low carb diet. The first night the good timing was off, with my appetizer barely reaching the table before my salad and filet were brought. The second night the waitress, who I believe is a trainer, knew exactly how to avoid this using a timing feature in their system which made my meal much more enjoyable. As always- my only complaint about Longhorn is their deceptive tipping suggestions which calculate the suggested tip after tax. What they do is steaks. The cuts are good and tasty. They always cook them to your wellness preference -- no getting close enough. The sides taste exactly as expected. Like the other mainstream restaurants, LongHorn gets busy. You can call ahead but you can't make reservations. Go early -- before 5 p.m. The desserts are worth saving room for. Horrible service! Do not order curbside to go! We ordered online and were told food would be ready in an hour. Food was still not ready over an hour and 20 minutes past the quoted time. No one could tell us what was going on. No one would answer the phone. Only after the car next to us started raising hell did a manager come out. She said that they had over 100 orders and they were running behind. Really? Of course we figured that one out. I've been coming to Longhorn for several years now. Every Friday for lunch. The staff are very nice. I sit at the bar and Christy is the bartender, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND HER. So I'm don't change my order. Say what you will, but Longhorns 10oz Flo's Filet is awesome, but when Casey is on the grill she cooks it perfect for me. Not sure what happened my wife and I have Eaten here off and on for years now . The food has always been good and the steaks were Good . But we stopped in for lunch last Friday and ordered two ribeyes they came out cooked right but the taste was off and they Smelled spoiled it was horrible. This was my first time at Longhorn Steakhouse and over all it was fine. We had a pretty large party and we had two wonderful waitresses that did amazing. I had a strawberry margarita that was absolutely delicious and the complimentary bread and butter was amazing. That's huge for me considering I'm not a bread person what so ever. The table ordered the Shrimp and stuffed mushroom appetizers which were great, but I'd definitely recommend going for the shrimp, it was out of this world. The menu was also very informative if you don't eat steak often like myself. I went with the flat iron steak, a house salad and mashed potatoes. If you do get a salad I highly recommend the white balsamic vinaigrette! My steak was fine, not out of this world, but still good. The mashed potatoes were also good, but a pit plain for my tasting. I think if I would have gotten a different steak it would have been better. I'm not a steak expert, but I tried some of the other ones at the table and they were much better. The problem going forward is choosing it as a main course with a bowl or a side with a cup! Don't get me wrong my porterhouse was on target, well seasoned, so much so that sauce was not needed.
