Once again, heres a location where the food is for the most part very good, where this location falls short is if you have a party of say 10 or more they dont have enough room to accomodate more than 2 parties of 10. There's not enough space during peak time. We went there with a party of 9 and were told that we had a 45 minute wait. We waited 30 minutes, then went to check how much more time before our table would be ready, to which they replied" It will take one more hour " WHAT !!! A 45 minute wait turned quickly into an hour and 45 minute wait ! Moral of the story, if you have large party don't venture to this location because chances are you'll be waiting for a table till the cows come home. We did leave to another restaurant in the area. me and my boyfriend came here today. he got the 14 ounce ribeye. his came out literally cold to the touch. he asked for medium rare and it was very rare. not medium rare. I got the 8 ounce sirloin with corn and loaded baked potato. mine came out as a 6 ounce, and I asked for medium rare, but got rare.mine was also cold to the touch, I also did not get corn, I got casserole. and my loaded baked potato was not loaded. we told our server and he said he was going to get the manager. the manager never came out and he came to give us the right food we ordered. well, mine was once again a 6 ounce and very very red. and my boyfriends was very red as well. we ate it anyway and now two hours later we feel like we are so so sick and have been throwing up. There was also three tables right next to us that all had the same server and all of their food was messed up as well. we came to cheddars for our anniversary and was wanting a relaxing comfortable experience. instead we got the opposite. our server seemed talkative but we thought it wouldn't last after we ordered our food. we were wrong. he talked to us the whole time, another person had to bring us our food because he was standing there talking to us and complaining about how he doesn't like working there and how his back hurts. i get it work sucks but that's no excuse. he kept pushing us to tip and asked if we're rich. he was standing talking to us the whole time we were eating and rushed us to get to go boxes in the middle of eating while still talking to us til the time we got up and left. i never complain and i've never left a review like this before but it made my anniversary feel intruded on and we weren't able to spend quality time with eachother. his name was brandon smith. if you get him ask for another server!!! read more

Gave it two stars cause the food was pretty good. But, the place was disgustingly dirty. They weren't busy at all around 1:00. Very few people. Looked like May have had a lunch rush cause so many tables were dirty. But lots of employees around Lot of tables had been cleaned off but almost every one still had some food debris on them. They sat us next to a particularly nasty table that wasn't cleaned yet. Nobody was in a hurry to do so. Food all over table and floor. Which isn't their fault but we watched our waitress pick up trash off the floor with bare hands and then immediately went and grabbed our order and brought it to our table , so kinda grossed out. Then slowly she started cleaning the table again. Never finished. I almosr fell twice as I slipped in extremely slick large greasy area where you walk through bar to restroom. It was so nasty and all the employees walking around and talking or doing nothing and the place was filthy. I spoke up when I almost slipped down the second time. It really made me angry.More disgusted actually. There were 5 employees behind the small bar and everyone was ignoring the filth and hazards around them. The waitresses should not be cleaning and serving at the same time, or at least without training on how to do so safely. I will never return to cheddars due to their lack of quality control and employee training. Totally disgusting. Too bad they don't have a manager there who actually cares about the overall cleanliness and to expect a little more from the employees. My husband and I took out daughter to eat dinner here. His steak came out way over cooked and we waited 30 min for a 8 min steak and still didn't get it. We asked for the manager 3 times and it was when we said we'd leave that she came to the table. We didn't get drink refills and all we got was a "sorry 3 of our cooks called out". Vegetarians, don't bother. They have a 1 choice of vegetable plate which is a salad or soup combo with 4 sides. Sounds like Texas roadhouse. Atmosphere here is nice, and they have a good staff. Their food however is much better then the Texas roadhouse. Although the broccoli was steamed for a little too long, my Mac and cheese was delicious, along with the very tasty black beans and baked sweet potatoe. The potatoe soup was hot and creamy. My family and I went to Cheddars #2027 on 2801 Texas Sage Trail in Fort Worth to celebrate my daughter's 22nd birthday. She and her boyfriend got there first and ordered an appetizer. We got there a few minutes later. The restaurant was not busy at all. Our waiter was nice enough. We all placed our order and had water to drink. There were six people in our party. We all got our food. My daughter's boyfriend ordered his burger with no onions. When he got his burger it had onions on it. He didn't say anything since they were the crispy kind and he could tolerate them. My daughter ordered her sandwich with no cheese but when she got it the sandwich had cheese on it. Again, she didn't say anything because she could just scrape the cheese off. The menu states that burgers are cooked medium well. If you want it cooked a different way you have to specify. Well, when I ordered I told the waiter that I wanted my burger cooked WELL DONE. Pretty simple, right? I put all the fixings on my burger and cut it in half. It was pink! Yuck! My family had already started eating by this time. When the waiter finally came by again I told him it wasn't cooked well done and asked him to send it back. He apologized and asked if anyone wanted to eat that burger otherwise it would be taken away and I assumed thrown away. My son and daughter's boyfriend split it. The waiter asked if we needed anything else and we all told him we needed more water. He had another employee help bring us more water. Instead of taking the empty glasses away, they just put the other glasses on the table. We had 12 glasses of water on the table! Another person came and brought us more chips and salsa while we waited. Our table was overflowing with stuff! A few minutes later the waiter came by and said it would only be a few more minutes. Not a problem. The waiter finally brought my burger. By this time everyone in my group had almost finished their meals. Again, I put all the fixings on my burger and cut into it. AGAIN, IT WAS PINK! Needless to say, I wasn't happy! When our waiter finally came by I told him that the burger was just as pink and just asked him to just take it off our bill. He asked if I wanted anything else and I said no because everyone else had finished eating by this time. What was supposed to be a nice birthday dinner for my daughter wasn't so nice. The waiter came back to the table and apologized. He said that he would take the burger off our bill. He then asked our entire party if we wanted dessert. He said that it was on Cheddars. My daughter said she wanted dessert. We said no, but then changed our minds and said we did want desserts. He smiled and took our orders and said he would be back with the desserts in a moment. A different waiter brought the desserts. My son ordered the chocolate cake with ice cream. It was huge! My son looked down at the plate and said, "Ewww!" There was a hair on the edge of his plate. Without thinking he took the hair off his plate and threw it on the ground. Because he didn't have it on the plate to show the waiter, he just didn't say anything. It was at the very end so he just ate from the other end of the cake. We figured that the hair fell from the waiter's head when he brought the desserts. After all that, the waiter brings our check and says, "I took the burger off your bill and ONE DESSERT." One? Really? He stood right there and asked everyone at our table if we wanted a dessert, compliments of Cheddars! The only reason we ordered desserts was because the waiter told us they were complimentary! I spent $15 extra that I wouldn't have spent! I spent $74.13 plus a $14.39 tip on food and I didn't even get to eat a meal! I didn't ask for the manager or say anything because I didn't want to ruin my daughter's birthday dinner even further by having to deal with the manager and embarrass her. We left. I wish I had read reviews BEFORE going to Cheddars! It would have saved our evening, not to mention my wallet! That did it for us. We won't be eating at Cheddars anymore. That was our last time! I realize things happen, but they really need to do training on how to cook burgers as well as how to communicate! read more

The server saved this from being two stars. We waited 15 minutes before even seeing a server and that was because we went to the hostess and told her no one has served us yet. We did get a good server finally though and she gave us a free appetizer for waiting. The food was really good. Had the sweet chili chicken and shrimp on the lo cal menu. The spinach dip was good too. From the drink menu it looks like it's pretty cheap so may have to give it another try at night for cocktails. read more

Not happy with this cheddar ! If you live in Saginaw don't come here period. Go to the southwest one. It will be worth it. I had order from the southwest more than once. The food tasted better and freshly made. This my food was cold and soggy. I put my order in at 3:38 pm and pick up 4:05 pm . How a freshly made food get cold and soggy that fast? YES !!!!!! Stopped here the day before Valentine's day, not extremely busy but the wait was 10-15 minutes. We got seated and it took about 10 minutes for our server to take our orders. I had the New Orleans pasta, It was good but dry (not saucy enough). My boyfriend had the Pork Chops, and it was delicious! First visit today - early evening on a Monday, wasn't busy at all yet. Dinner for four (2 apps, 4 entrees, 1 dessert, 1 cocktail) was $85. Definitely felt worth it for the overall experience. Waitress was super! Very attentive but not intrusive. Food came out quickly and perfect. The restaurant was very comfortable with a calm and relaxing atmosphere. Food is pretty standard fare for this class of restaurant with decent portion sizes (we had some leftovers to take home). We'll definitely be back! read more

Had a terrible experience here last night. My wife,daughter and I ordered and all i ordered was soup and salad. My salad came out early as expected and later when my wife and daughter were served their orders I did not get my soup. A minute later the server came out and said sorry we are out of the soup you ordered,would you like something else? Of course the wife and daughter are already eating and by the time they cooked something for me they would be finished, so I order a monster cookie for my daughter knowing it would take a few minutes to make. They brought out the cookie within a minute and it was the hardest cookie I've ever eaten. Terrible to go experience. Called in an order on Saturday night and was told that the food would be ready in approximately 15 minutes. I fully expected that there would be a wait for the food given the high volume of a weekend evening. Figured a 5 or 10 minute wait beyond the 15 minutes ETA would be reasonable even. However my food wasn't ready until 40 minutes after the phone call ended. I don't get worked up about things. I don't post on Yelp. But it's unacceptable to notice your high volume of customers and then provide the one entree a person ordered, a salad, 25 minutes after it was estimated to be ready. The issue is ultimately one of setting expectations for your guests. I was offered a soda for my time. A nice gesture from the cashier, but isn't a soda really just going to shorten my life expectancy even more after having wasted 40 minutes waiting for a salad? And I love this place. And I hate that this is being written so other customers aren't burned by making the same mistake as I did. read more

First let me say the food is usually very good and the price as well. The problem is this location is not managed well. The last few times I was there they had a limited menu. The first due to staffing and call outs. Sorry as a customer that's not my problem. The second time was due to truck shipment issues and apparently it's every week. The wait wasn't too long. The service was horrible! The waitress had no sense of urgency and was pretty lousy. The food was under a heat lamp too long. Poor quality. We had to ask her to take plates off the table. We had to ask for our refills. Ordered ice cream and we had to ask for a spoon. Ok, so as an extreme to go-er and a takeaway fanatic; I have had my share of call in orders and take away food. This Cheddar's by far has managed to rank in on my F-list for the poor service, foul smelling bar area, bad management, and not so great food. I used to love Cheddars and maybe still do depending on which location you eat at but this location close to where I live is on the do not pass go list. Just a friendly warning and some advice; always check your to go order before you leave because they almost never get it right and most of the bars' staff need to work on their customer service skills including the managers. The only positive thing I have for this place is the great tasting alfredo sauce but the food is really a hit or miss in freshness and taste. I have tried the lemon pepper chicken, grilled chicken alfredo, cheeseburger, chicken fried chicken, and double decker club which all used to be my favorites at another Cheddars but have all disappointed me at this Cheddars. read more

There is always a long line at this place, because it's so delicious and the value is amazing. I either get blackened catfish or one of the many delicious grilled chicken dishes both are served over rice. My husband gets salmon or the cajun pasta with extra spice. We usually get the Texas Sweet Tea, which is a delicious alcoholic beverage. Last time we were in we had the nacho appetizer and that thing is DELICIOUS! It has a ton of chicken and black beans. That thing could be a meal of it's own. The service is always amazing. I have never been disappointed at this restaurant and we come here at least once a month. This was our first and very last visit to Cheddar's Scratch Kitchen in Alliance. We wanted to check it out it looked good. It's in Alliance. Let's go. Yeah. Host barely smiled and didn't even greet us. Just asked how many and took us to a table. Ok. No big deal. 7 min after seating a very weeded server arrived rushed asked for beverages and apps then quickly disappeared. Returned a few min later with our beverages. Took our order and off she went. Our apps came out. This was the best thing we ate. It was the Wisconsin Cheese bites. (Never servers with marinara in WI on ranch) but I digress. We asked for ranch with the bites when we ordered them to be with them upon arrival and were 50% done when it arrived. I ordered the meatloaf for dinner. There is more meat in a Big Mac than the meatloaf. A 2 oz scoop of ice cold mashed potatoes and a 2 oz scoop of broccoli cheese casserole. I could get a bigger meal in a Lean Cuisine at Walmart. Meatloaf smeared with ketchup and a delicious teriyaki sauce. The sauce made the dish edible. My wife got the chicken pot pie. It was ok at best. The puff pastry was baked to the dish so you couldn't even enjoy that. Croissants still baking so not served with. They came later undercooked. Raw in the middle. The salad that comes with the pot pie came out 4 min after the entrees arrived. One daughter had the kids Mac n cheese. No surprise there. She said it was good. Not great. Other daughter had the chicken Caesar pasta salad. Sounded great! Nope. Didn't think you could screw up a salad but they managed to do that. Lettuce was actually frozen. Chicken cooked a day or two before. Even the dressing left a lot to be desired. The server was so behind, that she was having difficulties keeping afloat. And the host just kept seating her. She needed assistance, couple less tables some type of support from the management and or other staff. She was given none. She sank like a brick. Felt bad for her. My wife and I both wanted to go bail her out of the weeds. Needless to say we won't be back. I've spent 35 years in restaurants. That's been my whole career. While I've had some unenjoyable dining experiences in my lifetime, this ranks in the top 10. Was so hoping to have a new favorite spot. Moving onto try another restaurant in Alliance. Usually I've had a good experience at this location but today I took my son for his 3rd birthday. I understand that it's a Friday night and that the restaurant was busy. We had a party of 9 and were told it would be a 45 min wait. We waited an hour and still weren't seated. We were told that they were waiting for tables to clear out. While we waited, there were several parties of 6, 5, 4 etc that got seated and waited way less time than us. I feel like logically thinking management would have tried to accommodate us by maybe offering two tables next to each other or some kind of alternative to what we experienced. If they're going to give a time frame for a wait I feel like if the time slot is passed they should at least try to accomodate the party with other options. Would not recommend this establishment for large parties. read more

If you are coming with a big party just don't. There was about 15 of us and we had to wait an hour for a table. We finally get a table then they tell us they can't combine tables so we had half sitting in booth and the other half at tables. Our first waiter Isaac took our drink order and appetizers and brought back the drinks then went home. We then got a new waiter and had to ask him what happened to our appetizers. He brings out 1 trio for 1 table but didn't bring the other to the other table until we were getting our meals he then informed us Isaac didn't put in 2 appetizers. When we first sat down we were told that they were out of pasta and ribs but once we finally received our meals and were eating the table who came way after us ordered ribs and they were brought out no problems. We had to ask for refills and parts of our meals that were missing. Food was okay but the service was horrible. The manager Shawn was understanding and did his best to fix things for us but he needs a better staff read more

Went to cheddars for Togo food. I bad placed the order at 810 was told to pick up at 8:25 got there right at 8:25 paid went back to my car had a bite of my monte Cristo and Mac and cheese & the Mac & cheese was cold. It had just been put in the box. I work in a restaurant so it was fine I said to myself id just take it home and heat it up. Get home have some more monte cristo that is drenched in grease. I mean literally, wrapped paper towels around it and it soaked it up. I work at chef point in watuaga and we serve a monte cristo and it is NEVER greasy. I had enough after 1/4 of the sandwich and stopped eating mine. My bf got the New Orleans pasta which was also super cold and had a bunch of seasoning which is okay since its Louisiana style.. spent 30$ to spend the night hungry. At least do not waste ur money on Togo because they obviously do not care if ur not dining in. Won't be back for dine in or to go!!! read more
