Our first visit to the new-ish Goodyear location (although we're longtime fans of the chain from their Texas locations). We went for an early dinner, having heard they had extremely long wait times. Arriving about 4:45, we were told there would be a 20 minute wait for 2. After about only a five minute wait, we were shown to a nice spacious 4-top that was half-banquette, half chairs and not at all cramped. My only complaint is it would have been nice if someone on the bus staff could have dropped off waters when we were first seated. We actually received our bar drinks before we got any water. Our server was Amber, she had a fantastic friendly personality and was so excited to learn we were long time fans of Cheddar's in Texas. To make up for the wait to place our order and receive our waters, she brought extra croissants. The portions are very generous, the prices reasonable and the food tasty. We had the meatloaf with mashed potatoes and broccoli rice casserole, and the chicken tenders with broccoli and the broccoli rice casserole. All were yummy, but the standout was the bourbon glaze they serve with the meat loaf, it was so delicious. We took home more than half of our meals, it was too much to finish in one meal! When Amber brought the to-go containers, she also brought small plastic cups and lids so we could enjoy their delicious dipping sauces with our leftovers. She offered us to-go cups of water, which is always a nice touch. Jumpin' Jellybeans, Batman!! This food is scrumptious! I had the Monte Cristo Sandwich and the Baked Potato Soup. My tastebuds were blooming with every bite. I'm not a big ham fan, but my mom insisted that I try this sandwich. Once I took the first bite I was instantly hooked! It was the most flavorful sandwich I have ever had. I felt like Joey on "Friends" for real. I wouldn't share this sandwich if someone's lifee depended on it. Lol! Just walked out of this place, got a drink ordered food, saw people who got sat down after us get there food and sat there like a damm fool for 40 minutes. My wife goes to ask for the check for her drink and we get the check no apology no nothing for the lack of service. One thing would be for the waitress to let us know there is a delay of some sort but we just sat there. Left hungry and unsatisfied. Manager didnt even offer to fix it or even an apolgy. Ordered online and was given a time slot about 2 hours later for pickup. Showed up just a couple minutes after the pickup time to a parking lot half full of cars and no idea where I was supposed to be going or to check in and no signage. Once I sat stopped in the middle of the parking lot, a worker came over and took my name and told me to just park wherever. About 10 minutes later (now 15 minutes after my allotted time), another staff member came over and asked me to get out of my car and go stand by the front door (with about 15-20 other people) so they could hand me my food when it was ready. Sorry, not comfortable doing that when I didn't have a mask because this was supposed to be "contactless". Cancelled my order at this point and I'm disappointed because we were excited to finally get to try this place. Not sure if we ever will with that service. read more

This will be short and sweet. I love this restaurant and love the atmosphere it gives. The waiters and waitresses are friendly and do a wonderful job. Food is great but I only have one complaint! The cole slaw is dry and doesn't taste good at all. Could be me, I don't know but someone needs to taste it before serving. It doesn't have any flavor. I flew in from being out of town, been traveling since 9am and I was absolutely exhausted and starving. Decided to go to Cheddars, I ordered bbq ribs and they were so dry and overcooked I couldn't eat them. Waited for the waitress to come back so I can let her know, 15 min went by and nothing. I went up to the hostess and requested to talk to our server, which she never showed up. 10 minutes later I went back up to the hostess and requested to speak with a manager, finally the server showed up I told her the ribs were too dry/overcooked and wanted to replace the meal with ribs again, hoping they would be better. Waited for another 20 minutes for dinner, the ribs were completely bathed in bbq sauce like I had ordered a soup. The manager did not take the time to apologize, she just said we comp your meal and walked away. I did not go out to get a free meal. I hadn't eaten anything all day and I was looking forward to a nice meal like I've had in the past At cheddars. Very disappointed, my son ended up dining on his own while I watched him eat. Let me just start by saying that this has quickly become one of our favorite places to eat when we are in the east valley and now that there is one on this side of town we couldn't be happier. We have been planning a time for a group of us friends to go here since it opened and it was as good as ever. Dillon, our server, was prompt and entertaining. The food was good, yes but to go out to eat is an experience and when your server just completely drops the ball it makes it hard to enjoy the experience. Went for dinner and was there for like two hours, and not by choice because the server was taking forever with everything. We never got the bread we heard about but watch everyone else get complimentary bread. I ordered a drink that never came and when we finally were able to see the server he went to the back for another ten minutes to return and say they didn't have it any. It was a lot of waiting and watching people come and go after us receive better service. We received a gift card and my husband is willing to give it a second chance. We were expecting that we would have to wait at least 30 minutes because we came on a Friday at 7pm, but there was hardly any wait, we waited max 5 minutes. My wife and I have been wanting to go to this new Cheddar's since it has opened. So we finally decided to go last night. I read some other reviews about Cheddar's and all I read was about how long the wait was to get seated and how the food was cold. But we had hope and wanted to have our own opinions. Right when we entered the restaurant we where greeted by the hostess that told us that it would be 35 mins for a table of two. My wife and I agreed to wait that long, we sat down, and 10 mins later our buzzer went off. So that was nice. Wait time wasn't even half of the first estimated time. We where seated and asked if we would like drinks. My wife order Maui margarita( which was great ) and I just got water. We heard that the Wisconsin cheese bits were good. So we order them as an appetizer. Our server brought our drinks out in a very quick manner, with some honey croissants, that where very tasty. (First order On the house). Our cheese bits where also very good and warm (not hot). My wife ordered the half rack of ribs with shrimp (sides were Mac n' cheese and mashed potatoes) I ordered the half rack of ribs with a top sirloin (sides where mashed potatoes and a Caesar salad) Wait for the food was a reasonable amount. Food came out looking good but sadly the only thing HOT was my wife's Mac n' cheese. Everything else was maybe luke warm, or just cold. Both our BQQ ribs tasted good. Her shrimp was over seasoned, she said it really took over the taste of the shrimp. I ordered my steak medium rare and they cooked it medium rare. ( which is sometimes the hardest to find a place that will actually cook a steak right, the first time ) but the steak was not screaming with flavor..it was somewhat bland tasting. Both our mashed potatoes were good. My salad was good and her Mac n' cheese was okay. (Kinda Krafty lol) Really the only thing that was awesome about this night was our server. She was VERY professional and quick. Our drinks were never empty and she was always checking on us to see if we needed anything. Very nice lady. So all in all, service was great..food not so much, I am not sure why there are so many reviews (including ours) talking about how the food is cold, there must be something going on in the kitchen where the food is a sitting around for while or something. Met the family at the new cheddar's scratch kitchen on McDowell. The place is still pretty lively being that it is brand new. We were greeted by the hostess, Who was very nice and professional, greeted us with her name, as well as an estimate of time for a table. Within 10 minutes we were seated at a table for five and a super busy restaurant, our waitress arrived within the first three minutes With perfectly flaky croissant smothered in some kind of butter sauce,to take our drinks and appetizer order. She was super friendly and bubbly, which set the tone for the rest of the experience. We ordered three pot pies, along with appetizer french fries smothered with cheese, compiled around a pool of fresh ranch dressing. This appetizer returned properly within seven minutes. The waitress was able to top off our drinks without being asked, she constantly questioned as to whether we had everything we needed. She was very efficient considering she had multiple tables. The food came out, it was perfect temperature, the pot pie crust was crispy. The internal temperature was perfect not too hot. The ingredients were fantastic. Atmosphere: Do you atmosphere and ambience is very nice, seating arrangements are comfortable, you are not elbow to elbow with your neighbor. It is not too loud, it is not too bright there is definitely a balance Food: The food was fantastic, very flavorful, the temperature was right on. Visually appealing. Serving size was appropriate. The menu has an abundant amount of choices. Service: From the minute we walked in we were greeted professionally and quickly. We were seated within 10 minutes, we had our drink order in and croissant appetizer breads within five. We had our mail within 15 minutes. And we were provided boxes for what we did not finish and greeted on our way out.Our cups never run empty, anything extra that we need as she promptly got it and did not make us wait: Recommendability: I would definitely recommend this restaurant to my friends and family. My strawberry lemonade felt like a lemonade with a couple of strawberries inside which was fine by me because I love lemonade. I got steak and ribs with fries and coleslaw. Steak was great, fries were fine but the slaw was uneventful. The ribs were WAY over cooked. The bottom of the rack was practically charred. My wife got steak and shrimp with fries and mac and cheese. The latter was uneventful just like the slaw but the rest was good. Overall we enjoyed our visit. My mom recently moved to the area and we decided to try this restaurant. The service was excellent and there was plenty of friendly staff. I ordered the Cajun pasta which had great flavor, but the meat wasn't my favorite. The shrimp was overdone and chewy, and the chicken looked like it had been pre chewed. This is definitely not a take home and reheat dish. My mom ordered the country fried steak and enjoyed the meal. What disappointed us was the lack of cleanliness. We were seated in a dirty booth with crumbs all over the seats and a sticky table which I cleaned myself. We decided to place our order online and have our order delivered to our car. Their website menu online order procedure was confusing and difficult to use. I doubt I'd use it again because it took too long. We ordered the full rack of Baby Back Ribs with Loaded Potato and a Side Salad (we shared the ribs and ordered a second salad and baked potato). The ribs were great and we'd definitely order them again -- we'd even say they're some of the best we've had! The garden salads were fresh and generously filled with a variety of vegetables instead of mostly lettuce. The bleu cheese dressing was thick and tasty. The potatos were yummy -- thoroughly cooked and loaded with butter, sour cream and cheddar cheese. For dessert we shared a Monster Cookie. The cookie otself was rather bland tasting but the vanilla bean ice cream, fudge, chopped nuts and cherry on top helped it taste better. At $6.49 each we probably wouldn't order it again. Orderer for her for the 1st time after my sons decision day parade (college decision), went on line, saw the family menu deal and 50 mins later (same as if you were to go to dine in anywhere) went to pick it up and the member came to to verify who I was and brought tout the food.
