Came to this new place with my wife. We actually were able to find seating quickly at the bar. As any new place in Goodyear, the wait was long about 45min for a booth. The bar server did give us complimentary honey croissants which were very tasty. We ended up getting lunch specials. The monte cristo / club sandwiches were nothing spectacular but typical for other places like Applebee's, Chili's...Overall the best part of the experience was the very attentive / friendly staff who far outperformed the food. read more

If it was at all possible to give zero stars I would. My party of 3 arrived just before 5 and we were sat immediately. Our server, Brittany, was lovely. The food. Oh my, the food. We ordered ribs, which were ok and two burgers which were not ok. The meat was over cooked (hockey puck in mature) and generally not good. They did take the uneaten burger off the bill. This past Saturday was my very first visit ever to cheddars. The experience was not a great one. Had to wait almost 15 minutes for staff to notice we were seated. I understood that the waiter was in training but his trainer disappeared and he seemed lost and wasn't doing well with service at all. Drink refills were sparse to name a few. Problems with getting the bill straight and the trainer magically reappeared for that. Just an awful experience and limited menu. I do not plan on ever going back. I went with my son at about 2 in the afternoon for lunch and we were sat immediately. From that point on the experience was so middle of the road that you'd think it was on purpose. Our server wasn't rude, but not exactly friendly; very straight to the point and almost like she had somewhere else to be. We ordered the lunch combo Monte Cristo and caesar salad (which I never saw) and a kid's chicken tenders with fries. The food was adequate; not bad or memorable. Even the soda was moderately carbonated. If you're looking for a reliable, middle of the road meal that is reminiscent of an Applebees with higher self esteem, Cheddar's is the place. We arrived they served us this complimentary plate of 3 most buttery, light and flakey with a butter sauce croissant OMG so good. I had the Moms Meat Loaf which was good jUst wish the mash potatoes the meat sat on was larger with more butter but it was good. My daughter had the chicken Parmesan over spaghetti with marinara sauce. She said the chicken tasted as if it was nuked few times and very salty and the spaghetti was partially under cooked in some areas. Went here for dinner after a movie. We went in and put our name on the list. We were discouragingly told it would be 40 minutes for a party of 2. Seemed a little long but we put our name down and sat down to wait while deciding if we wanted to go somewhere else. We were still discussing it when they called our name. It was inexpensive but not much alcohol and kind of bland. We ordered the appetizer sampler. The chicken strips were very good but I think Cane's is comparable. The spinach dip was ok, the queso was watery and served with a side of sad salsa (Pace Picante sauce?). Half of the corn chips that were served with it were inedible. It was like someone burned a batch of chips so they just mixed them with other chips in hopes of passing them off. The burnt chips were greasy and gross. My husband had a half rack of ribs which were ok. I had the New Orleans pasta which was supposed to have shrimp, sausage and chicken in it but I couldn't find any chicken. It was ok otherwise. I used to order take-out/pick-up from the Goodyear AZ location weekly - usually on Tuesday or Wednesday nights. The food has always been good. But the staff that gathers and packs the pick-up orders since mid-January is seriously lacking either reading skills or common sense. I tip generously while placing my order through the app because I understand tips are an important part of servers pay. Today is the last time I will feel foolish for rewarding such lousy service. I have had orders that were missing minor condiments or sides before. Inconvienient, but mistakes happen. However, tonight was ridiculous. For $80, only one out of four people got the complete and correct dinner that they ordered. The "gluten-sensitive smokehouse burger" came on a bun with the bbq sauce applied directly on it, leaving the burger dry when the bun was removed. But it was still edible. The "loaded baked potato with bacon" side for one dinner had melted cheese on a dry potato. Nothing else. No butter, sour cream, or bacon bits. Most upsetting was the chicken fried steak dinner that was sent without a container of country gravy. Cooked to perfection, but completely dry, my mother was unable to eat it. If we had been a party of four dining in, I could have asked for the gravy. Instead I didn't know that an important part of one dinner was missing until I arrived home. Driving all the way back to the resturaunt was out of the question. At least my husband enjoyed his ribs. Order take-out from this Chedders location at your own risk! read more

Amazing food! We were not upset at a single thing we ordered. They gave us complimentary honey butter croissants, which were phenomenal I might add. We almost order more, but decided that we wanted to try as much of the menu as possible. We opted to try the chips and homemade quest. Yes, homemade. It was so delicious! Not very consistent here. I ordered the chicken tender platter here yesterday and I got about 6 pieces. Today I received 4 pieces. Service is a hit or miss as well. Waited about 10minutes to get our water and another 15 minutes for the appetizers, another 20minutes for the entree. They also forgot my friends entree, they waited an extra 10mins for a salad entree. 30minutes??? We've been to Cheddars 3 times since it opened. Food is great, wait staff is very attentive. The wait times to be seated are pretty long so be prepared. The other thing that I really don't like is how long it takes to settle up your bill. All 3 times I've been, it has been an average of 7 minutes waiting for check to review, server to take payment, then server to return for you to sign. All the while the plates have been taken away. Clearly we are done so it's frustrating to wait. Well every time I have come here there is a wait. The place on the outside looks bigger than what it really is and they don't have a lot of seating which surprised me. They do have a nice bar area with several TV's. Our waiter was very nice and helpful. The prices are very reasonable for the portion size. The menu has a lot of options along with drinks. Although my 1st time visiting Cheddars in Arizona I have been to this chain restaurant many times back in Knoxville Tennessee. I was pleasantly surprised that they opened a restaurant so close to my new home out in the West Valley. I have visited twice in the past week. One for drinks and today for lunch. Both times servers have been nice and I didn't have to wait because I sat near the bar but to seat anywhere else expect to have some sort of wait. Yoday I ordered the Cajun Alfredo pasta. It comes with shrimp, chicken and sausage. I had the Island Tiki to drink. The pasta was really good, flavorful and not spicy or unless you are very sensitive to seasoning. Their drinks have been consistently flavorful but not strong in the alcohol area so I wouldn't expect to get drunk easily of of them. Over all a good restaurant with multiple options if you are into chain restaurants along the lines of Chilis. Their prices for the amount of food you get are pretty good too. read more

My wife and I stopped in for lunch today, it was our first trip here and it will be our last. The building is beautiful with an inviting design and warm, welcoming ambiance. The service is good but that is where the positive experience stops. The menu is full of comfort food that is almost overwhelming. My wife and I the split the nacho appetizer which looked like it was thrown together with no care or plan and it didn't have any flavor. The topping were dry and the salsa and queso dip were just jammed into the corners of the plate. The salsa was watery and didn't have any bit of flavor. For our lunch my wife had the cheddar broccoli soup that was all cheese and little broccoli. I had the club sandwich and chips. The sandwich was ok but the chips had a dinky after taste. It has been a few hours since lunch and our stomachs are still unhappy with our decision to stop by. Some may love this place but it is a far cry of a fresh healthy place for a meal. read more

We were able to seat ourselves in the bar area (wanted to watch the golf tournament) but our server ended up being 'over seated'. She worked extremely hard but it did make what would have been a great experience just ok. Management should pay more attention as there were other servers standing around while busy servers had tables that were not cleaned for 20 minutes and us waiting to order, get drink refills, pay our bill. No need to return but location is convenient and food quality fine. read more

The girls up front were super sweet, but the real star tonight was Amber. She is so kind and very observant, noticing that our chicken tender appetizer did not have the sauce on it. We told her how good the sauce was and she made sure we never ran out! This was our first time at Cheddar's, so she explained the items she thought we'd like, and she was NOT wrong!
