We came to this location to try Cheddar's for the first time. We were told it would be a 40 minute wait; which we were ok with since it was a Saturday night. However, after waiting 45 mins and seeing there was an empty table; I asked about it and was told it was for a table of 8. Then they seated 3 of the 8 and those 3 sat at the table for over 20 mins. I asked the manger about their policy for seating if everyone in the party was not at the restaurant and was told that they will seat if half of the party is there....well in math 3 IS NOT half of 8! Worst restaurant experience EVER tonight at Cheddars on Woodruff Rd. in Greenville SC. Took the grandgirls and my daughter for an early dinner ... our food arrived, and my daughter's buffalo chicken wrap was made with slaw, after she specifically asked for the slaw to be left off. The waiter took it back, with apologies. We had to ask a second time for my granddaughter's side salad, but at this point, all seemed well. Fast forward one hour: the grandgirls and I have eaten and placed our napkins on the table, and there's still no buffalo chicken wrap. The waiter seems flustered, and barely acknowledges us as he passes, again and again. I asked to speak to a manager, and the young lady that appeared (after a LONG wait) told me that it was "the least" that she could do to remove the charge for my daughter's dinner from our tab. I thought she could have done much more at that point. But as my granddaughter says, "Whatevs." The waiter came with our check, and the charge for my daughter's dinner was still there. In hindsight, this is where we should have just walked out. Grrrrr. I requested another manager ... meanwhile, the sweet guy who was busing our table wouldn't stop apologizing for our experience. A to-go box with my daughter's chicken wrap was delivered to the table ... just a pitiful-looking wrap, no fries. Finally, an older male manager appeared, acted horrified at our experience, sent the to-go box back for fries to be added ... and removed $7.99 from our bill. *woot* We ordered our dinner at 5:30 pm. The grandgirls and I got our food at 5:45 pm. At 6:30 pm, we were still sitting there, waiting on a dang chicken wrap with no slaw, at this point in a To Go box. This is the place I used to go to for every meal! It was THE place the eat at!! Well not anymore. The past 2 times I've went I've got crappy service! Cheddars is quickly becoming one of our standard stops when we're in that part of town. Yesterday, I had their jalapeno cheese burger that was incredible. I went to Cheddar's for a business lunch earlier this week. We don't have a Cheddar's in St. Louis, but I have always had good food anytime I have been to Cheddar's in other cities, so I was looking forward to eating here. I went for a business lunch this time. Had the parmesan crusted steak with the iceberg wedge salad off the light menu. The steak was on the tough side, but had a good flavor. Not amazing, but good. The wedge salad was ok, but some of the lettuce wasn't of the best quality. Service was good, not great, but good enough to serve our purpose. I love their cookie dessert, but since I was on a business lunch I behaved this time around. I highly recommend getting that. Also, in my experience with Cheddar's in general, I feel they do a better job with their sandwiches than with steak, etc. read more

Cheddars was my husband favorite. The food is ok and the bar is terrible. I ordered a drink and got a glass of cloudy lemonade mix mess. I returned the drink two times. It took 15 minutes to get the first drink and 12 minutes to get the 2nd drink. Management never came over to check with me. After we finished eating the waiter took a while to come over and pu our ck. So we asked another waitress to take our payment ..she declined and then I asked for a manager. He came over to our table and started lying. Stated he came over bc he heard about my drink. I adv him that he was lying. I adv he came over bc I requested a manager bc we wanted to pay for our ck. He also stated ....It was not brought to there attention about the drink and they have new employees. Cheddars is normally a good spot to grab a meal after work. Tonight, I went with a party of 3. We ordered our food. Another couple was seated after us. That couple ordered and got their food in no time. I asked our waitress what was the hold up on our food and she didn't seem to know. I watched her take pictures for a large group at another table but still no food for us. I asked her again and the answer again was I don't know. I finally asked for the manager and he said that the kitchen was running 15min. However, he didn't seem too concern with my compliant. We had been about 30 min. My girlfriend and I decided to come here for dinner on a Saturday night. Place was pretty busy (Prom night), and we waited approximately 20-25 minutes to be seated. Once we got to the table, it took about 7 or 8 minutes for the server to find us, which considering it was a Saturday, was totally expected. The server was very knowledgable and moderately attentive. My girlfriend ordered the tilapia with shrimp and I ordered the Chicken fried chicken with mashed potatoes and green beans. Now to one of my biggest pet peeves....the green beans were obviously canned because when it was plated, they added A LOT of water to the plate, which of course watered down the gravy. There was a piece of Texas toast under the chicken which promptly soaked up the water making it a soggy mess ( another pet peeve! ). This could have easily been avoided by draining the water off before plating or putting it in a small dish. Take note Cheddars! Otherwise, it was a great experience and I will return, however I will let the server know how I like my green beans! read more

Cheddars is just not one of my favorite places to go. Wait was about 20 min on Saturday night. They buzzed us that our table was ready. As we handed in beeper, another party got bumped in f r onto of us because they missed their beeper going off 30 min earlier, so they gave them our table in the dining room and whisked us to the bar. it was smelly and very loud. Our server was very sweet; however, the food a.l.w.a.y.s disappoints. It took a very long time for food to come out. The onion rings were not even warm when brought out. Hostess was rude. The place was nearly empty but she stuck us in a dismal corner and refused our request to move our seat because it would "upset" our server. Our server lacked basic food service skills and needed a reminder that our appetizer was expected before our meal. The food was a sloppy mess of spaghetti and cheese that was burnt in some parts due to overcooking. Menu was limited and unimaginative. Needless to say, we won't be going back. We came in on sat night at 7pm and there was 1.5 hr wait. About a week ago I went here with a large party to eat dinner. The food is really good but the service from the time we walked in was awful. The hostess was slamming the phone down with an attitude. Then our waitress was very pushy and rude. She kept rolling her eyes and getting attitudes if we didn't answer her fast enough and she kept talking over everyone. Had a great experience here! Cabela's had just opened, so it was busy. Waited maybe 10 minutes, and had drinks/appetizer within another 10 minutes. Try the nachos! So good. I had buffalo chicken salad, and husband had club sandwich with tortilla soup (wow). All so fresh and tasty. We were visiting from out of town last week and stopped at Cheddar's for lunch. We were in the mood for a salad so we ordered the Crispy Chicken Salad and BBQ Chicken Salad and were not disappointed. Both were served nice and cold and they were huge and very tasty. The waitress was excellent. Just wish we had a Cheddar's where we live. My family had a reservation for a group of 30 for an 11 year old's birthday party this past Saturday. The manager that took the reservation failed to make a record of our party, causing us to have to wait for over an hour to be seated. We finally got seated in the same section, mostly together. Our server Erin, was EXTREMELY rude. For whatever reason, she was the only server for our entire group. She was understandably flustered, as anyone would be if they had a group of 30 with no backup. We understood that. What we didn't appreciate was the fact that she felt the need to speak to us condescendingly and talk over us. It all came to a head when Erin decided to yell at the birthday girl's mother. We asked for a different server at that point, because it was obvious she did not have the desire to serve our group. The two servers the MOD gave us after that were AMAZING. I regret that I did not get their names. They made sure the rest of the dinner went smoothly. My only other complaint is that I walked one of the children to the restroom, and on our way out we encountered Erin telling two other servers that all she was trying to do was to explain something, and she didn't understand why we didn't get what she is saying. She and the servers were actually blocking the exit way back to our tables, and it took me excusing myself THREE times before she stopped gossiping about our party and heard me. That was EXTREMELY unprofessional. The disheartening thing is that the children that were there for the birthday party, including the birthday girl, fully understood that Erin did not want to be our server. The disorganization, on top of Erin's abysmal attitude definitely warrant this one-star rating. The food was very good, though, as well as all of the other staff that assisted us. Ms. Keisha (who was NOT our server) made it a point to come around and check on us when she got a chance. Ear piercing screaming child allowed to wail for 25 minutes before we asked the table in back of us to try and control the child as we could not swallow our food. How do you put only two people at a both that can seat up to lets say 8 people. It seems like their goal is to seat all the small groups first and just entirely forgot about groups that consist of more than four people. The building is nice. But I always get suspicious when my food (entree) is brought out in less than 5 minutes. I had one of the boneless chicken breast on rice, broccoli casserole and some veggies. The chicken was not good, tasted like it was leftover from previous day, the casserole was pretty sad too and the rice looked like a rice-a-roni version of rice, tasted like it too. We had spinach dip which was not hot and had zero flavor. Seems like the food is pre-cooked and sits in back in pans, dished out, microwaved and served. My husband and I went to Cheddar's for the 3rd time on 4/21/17 for our date night...Surprisingly the hostesses were extremely unprofessional. They didn't smile, didn't greet us or anything. I spoke to one of them and her response to me was, "2". After having to ask her how long the wait was and telling her that we wanted a booth we then observed another host that walked up to greet some other guests and he was extremely pleasant and inviting. I told him about our experience and he went and got the manager. The manager came to our table and told us that he instantly witnessed the same thing happen to some other guests right before coming to our table. He stated that he would pull these hostesses off the floor and address this. He then paid for our appetizers. When the food delivery person brought our appetizers out, threw them on the table causing honey mustard to flop all over our potato wedges and again, an extremely unfriendly demeanor. The appetizers were full of grease and the marinara was in large chunks and unrecognizable and our waitress told us that's what it normally looks like. We won't be going back to Cheddar's to patronize their business anytime soon or possibly ever again. Poor customer service across the board. And to wrap things up, the manager that cared so much, didn't even come back after giving his pretend speech about how their employees should exude customer service. My wife and I decided to try out Cheddar's today. We ordered an Ultimate Lunch of half a club sandwich and a caesar salad. I ordered a 16oz beer. I saw that the larger 22 oz was just a few cents more and asked the waitress to change it. She tried to explain she had already rung it up and it would take some difficulty to change it. She finally relented. We were seated in an area filled with overly loud out of control children. The sandwiches came out first. Eventually two different servers went searching for the missing salads. I then asked the server if she hadn't mistook what we ordered. Both my wife and I had been served a 1/4 of a club sandwich. She informed us that was the Cheddar's way. We spoke to a manager who also explained that it was the Cheddar's way to serve a quarter sandwich as a half. On top of that, my wife said the clubs looked really bad. I decided we would pay for the drinks and leave. The manager was nice, but too many things had happened. While waiting for our check I saw one waitress actually sitting at a table taking an order and a busboy wipe the crumbs off a table right onto the floor. Not the best of first impressions. Well after waiting nearly 15 (we were told 10) minutes we were seated in the bar area. This was about 3:00 on a Sunday afternoon. When our server 'Neck Tattoos' came over he did not know the TWO beers on tap w/o looking at the drink menu. We order three waters and my wife orders a beer. After about 5 minutes our server comes over WITH NO DRINKS and says something about a computer issues then proceeds to take our food order. Ten minutes later our three waters come out....no beer! We wait, and wait, and wait....then out comes a beer without a glass and when we inquire about a frosty mug the bartender (?) gives us a strange look and says, "a what?" Okay, so five more minutes go by and no mug. We ask our server about it and he's confused as to why we would need a mug if we clearly have a bottle of beer...When the food arrives it goes from bad to worse, no sides, no condiments that were requested when we placed our orders about 20 minutes ago. The manager? (bald guy) comes over to see how things are going and we tell him EVERYTHING, but he does very little to make things better. My side was left off and they didn't adjust the bill accordingly. The manager never reappeared and 'Neck Tatts' acted like nothing was out of the ordinary. Greenville has LOTS of other restaraunts so we will NOT be going back!!!!! read more
