Put our name on the list, was told approx how long the wait would be and that they would text me when our table was ready. We walked across the street for Dutch Bros while we waited, came back and stood in front of the doors to wait. Maybe they called our name while we were still out of ear shot, but I never got the text that the table was ready so we lost our spot. One of our party went in to check when we found out. After more waiting I got a text that said sorry to see you go, and that we have been removed from the wait list. I went in to ask, they said that is a computer glitch. I will update after we are able to be seated, but the wait list thing needs to be addressed. No one wants to be bumped from the list after waiting 45 minutes because of a glitchy system. Update: 4:27 got onto waitlist. 5:30 got to our table. 6:30 food arrived. Cheese bites were delicious. Monte Cristo was delicious. A bit more on the doughy side but it was good. White fish platter: Fish was under cooked, broccoli casserole was dry and the seasoned rice had no flavor. Sent meal back. Women's bathroom had two of three stalled out of order. Two people were cleaning one out of order stall and mopped the floor in my stall while occupied. Garbage was over flowing. Staff was kind. This place is still new so I will give it another shot and update my review at that time. read more

I have been to Cheddars several times in another state, so I was pretty excited about this new location opening in Riverdale. It's been a popular location since opening awhile months back, with wait times up to two hours. Pretty excited patrons, waiting to give them a try in Utah. We were immediately greeted with smiles and seated upon arrival. (About 5pm on a Friday night) Our server was awesome and very kind. If this review was based upon customer service only, I would rate them a 5. It was my wife's first time trying Cheddars, so she had heard great things and was excited to give the a try. Unfortunately, the kitchen team had a tough night with the food side of our visit. I ordered the Chicken Tenders and Fried Shrimp. My wife ordered the Chicken Fried Chicken. My meal was really good and met my expectations. However, my wife's chicken was undercooked and had something inside the meat that was very unappealing. Our server was so concerned and understanding, as she caught my wife picking through the chicken. She encouraged us to return the plate and allow the kitchen to try again. When the second round of Chicken came out, it was much better prepared, but when she was half way through her chicken... she encountered another example of why she sent the meal back the first time. As a disclaimer, we never complain at restaurants or send things back. It's just not our thing and we definitely didn't want to be a burden to this team on this replacement meal. The manager stopped by to check on us as well was equally friendly and concerned about the Chicken situation. We assured everyone, it was fine and we appreciated their hospitality. As far as The service snd ambiance, they score a 5. My meal was a solid 4. Unfortunately, the Chicago Fried Chicken pulled this score down. If we could score a 3.5, we would. Went to lunch here with a girlfriend and was excited to give it a try. It wasn't busy when we got there so we were seated quickly. We ordered the Spinch Dip and Chips, and both got the Monte Cristo. The meal came with a Croissant. Unfortunately, I was not impressed with the food. It was all really greasy. The sandwich was much better after I took it home and cooked it in my air fryer. Unfortunately, I did not get to try the Croissant because my dog snuck in my room and ate it. Service was fast and friendly. Menu was similar to Cracker Barrel but not as much variety. We are from out of town and decided to give this place a try. The ambience was great and the service was excellent. I had the lunch fish and chips and my wife had the pot pie. Our server was very attentive and helpful. Foos was great other than one piece of my fish was a tad under cooked. Would definitely come back to try other dishes. read more

We went back to Cheddars about a week later & I got the Grilled Chicken Pecan Salad (the pecans are candied). So far if it looks yummy I tend to dig in before I remember to take a picture, but at least I've remembered to stop & take a picture a few times now. Everything was great again. Must remember to take a picture of the honey butter croissants they serve with each meal next time! Oh! I believe I've figured out why half the people say this place is great & half say it's terrible. So I went to cheddars a couple days after it opened, the food was good, waiters were nice and the environment was cozy, my brother who ordered the chicken tenders said they were great and we left and tipped generously, but then, when we get home, my brother instantly runs to the bathroom and pukes, the smell was horrid and it sounded like he was dying, turns out he got food poisoning from the chicken tenders, he kept on throwing up for like 20 minutes and had to lay in bed for the rest of the day, safe to say, me and my family are never coming back read more

Our first time eating at Cheddar's and we LOVED everything we ordered. We started off with the trio appetizer that has 4 chicken strips, spinach cheese dip and salsa and chips. Absolutely recommend trying the Trio appetizer. Our entrees were delicious as well. I forgot to mention the hot buttery croissants with a sweet honey drizzle that they serve when they sit you, which were again Delicious! My son had the Sangria El Presidente drink, I tried the mango lemonade, and for sure, we were surprised that they both were satisfying. Visited this restaurant yesterday 9/14/23 with a friend for lunch. It was very busy and our wait was about 10 minutes. Atmosphere is very open and nicely decorated. Our waitress, Isabelle, was a total sweetheart. Friendly, personable and very very accommodating. I ordered the southern fried chicken sandwich with French fries. Portion size was more than I could eat and had to take half home. No complaints. Food was tasty. Now, my friend ordered the Alfredo chicken with broccoli. Presentation was lovely but the taste was horrible. She ate a few bites and that was it. I tasted it as well...she was right. Yuck! Very bitter with just an unpleasant taste. She didn't want to say anything so when our sweet waitress asked if we were enjoying our lunch, I nicely told her my friend's food was a disappointment. Isabelle notified her manager, Samantha, to which she came to us and apologized for the meal. I gave 4 stars for these 2 employees...not the food. Both young ladies were professional and are great asset to Cheddars. We will come back and try something different. Cheddars is new here in Riverdale and is still working things out. First time at the new place, got there at 4:30 cus we know how crowded new places get. Waited about 5 min. Got seated in the bar area at a tall table. Service was excellent from the bartender. Only drawback was it was very chilly . I asked the host if they could dial down the chill. The seven restaurants in Utah are controlled by one location which is so extremely stupid not to have control in your own location! Granted it was fairly empty and would heat up with more customers later. There were lots of people waiting when we left (55 min wait). It's Utah, go eat early. Plus they need more wait staff as there were plenty of tables. I got the chicken pot pie with house salad . Salad was very good. Pie Crust was good. Lots of veggies and gravy though not much chicken. Had to season it up. Hubby had chicken fried steak served properly on a slice of Texas toast and upgraded loaded mashed potatoes and Caesar salad. Too stuffed to enjoy a dessert. Maybe next time. Will return to try more-- just remember to bring a sweater. read more

I want to like this place, but... I've been 3 times. The first, our waitress was far more interested in those around us and pretty much forgot us. The second, it was pretty decent. Both times the food was tasty. Went again yesterday, NOT IMPRESSED! The booth we sat at had food splatters all over the wall; the kiosk screen to pay was just as bad. My "side dish" of cheddar broccoli casserole was no more than 4 bites. Ordered the legendary cookie for dessert and it was hardly even cooked. It was a doughy wet mess. A manager of sorts conducted an interview for a cook at the table right across from us during the first portion of our meal. It was a bit awkward. Isn't there an office in the back where interview can be held? Don't see myself going here again. Pretty disappointing. read more

I don't know why there are so many bad reviews. Yeah there was a long wait but that's to be expected. Everything we had was delicious and service was great. We had the cheese bites as our appetizer and they were so much better than I expected. They were like chicken nugget batter and fried cheese. Yum! Food was pretty sub par, services was on point. The presentation was on point for my chicken fried steak but all you can taste from gravy is straight black pepper far to much breading on it as well. The croissants at the begging really were the highlight of the meal. Their lemonades are fantastic. We were traveling and we were tired when we arrived. They seated us immediately and our server was so nice. When our food arrived it was delicious! Family and I went to try. Our waitress was kind and attentive, the establishment was clean and well lit, but it took about an hour after ordering by the time our food arrived. Honestly I felt as if the kitchen missed our order. I had the baby back ribs and steak combo, ribs were OK but there are other options in the area. The steak that came with, however, had to have been the worst cooked steak I have had from a restaurant. So bad I felt compelled to write a review. In all honesty Sizzler cooks a better steak. It was dry and salty from being over cooked and left under a warmer. I have been to the restaurant twice. I didn't want to leave a review based on one experience. 1. Waitlist- Both times i was checking the waitlist, it stated zero wait time for my size party. Knowing i would be there soon i was refreshing every minute. Suddenly the refresh shows 40+ minute wait. This is not ok. 2. The waitresses are overwhelmed and not able to attend to the tables timely. On both occasions had requested items that were never delivered to our table. Tonight, the drinks were not delivered until after our food. Two people ordered dinner salads, and were not delivered until we asked about them twice, and brought to the table when we we're halfway through the main dish. 3. Food- on both occasions half the food was brought out cold. This restaurant has potential, but they need to get several things worked out. read more

Ate there today (7/14/23) and it was absolutely amazing. Food was filing and flavorful! I got the Dijon mustard and mushroom chicken and it was immaculate. Never had that flavor profile before. Chicken was very tender. My partner and grandpa got their shrimp pasta and said it was delicious but their only complaint was the shrimp still had the tails attached so it was annoying to take the tails off before eating. The environment itself was very cool y, elegant and clean. The staff were hella kind, respectful and friendly! Would 100% be back to try more food.
