Located by the outlets. Despite being pretty busy, we were seated right away. It was near the end of the lunch shift so there were maybe two empty tables with dishes but overall establishment was considered clean. Service was good, our waiter was very attentive. When I found a piece of hair on my monte cristo sandwich, the manager immediately removed the dish from our bill and came by to apologize. Overall a good experience despite the hair in my food.

Strawberry lemonade was so refreshing! Buffalo chicken wrapper with fries was just ok. The entire wrap fell apart because it was too hard of a tortilla. I ended up just eating the chicken on its own, which was spicy (which I like)

    Their lightly frosted, buttery croissants!

The food was great, for a great price! Better than across the freeway aCracker Barrell, and for a much better price.

Our bartender was great! I wish we got her name but she kept us entertained during the end of her bar shift. Cheddars is always a classic and you can't go wrong with the queso or croissants. Quick service and good food.

    Wrong burger

Staff were friendly , pretty slow. Only 2 other People inside. Drive thru had a few cars. Ordered a Double Big Bacon Classic. Don't think that's what I got. Should have checked there but was just ready to leave

So we stopped by here on the way home from a volleyball tournament. The hostess was friendly and sat us quickly and our waitress was amazing!! My only disdain is the section we were seated in was dirty there was stuff all over the floor. Secondly, I understand that closing duties must be performed but we were the only table in our section when this employee started vacuuming while constantly being on her phone. We could barely hear each other. We didn't get a chance to eat due to it storming so we opted for Togo boxes and again our server was amazing and brought out to go containers quickly. Even though we didn't get to eat on location our food was still delicious once we made it home and warmed it back up.

Tired of texmex and burgers? I highly recommend this place! Food fresh, hot. Staff very friendly. Great location near big HEB. Great pricing too!

Writing this in real time. This is my first and last time eating at Cheddar's. If I could give negative stars I would. Don't eat here! Between the slow/no existent service, the forgotten food and the filthy silverware (see pic ), don't waste your money. It took 15 minutes to order drinks and another 10 before they arrived. We ordered spinach dip. It came out lukewarm. We never received our croissants, though we asked for them multiple times, including asking the manager. Our kids meal never came out. When our food finally arrived I went to eat my pot pie and the silverware was used!! Literally covered in someone's leftover food . The spoon that came out with the pot pie had food on it, my friend scraped it off with her nail and showed our server. I want to vomit. We sent everything back. Now I've gotta find somewhere else to eat.

I haven't had cheddar's for a while! Had a gift card from Christmas and glad we chose to come here ! I got on the waitlist on website . Only sat for like 2 minutes while they checked in the line that line of people that were walking in behind me and clearing some tables. The vibes were great! Our server Alexis was amazing! Very helpful in decision making with the fish I wanted and very attentive! Food was delicious as usual and the croissants very phenomenal!!!

There are meals you enjoy... and then there are meals that make you pause mid-bite and question…read moreevery other fried chicken decision you've ever made in your life. Gus's World Famous Fried Chicken? Yeah. It's that kind of place. We went for the chicken sandwiches and I need you to understand--these were not just "good." These were ruin-other-places-for-you good. Crispy, juicy, perfectly seasoned... the kind of sandwich that makes you immediately start planning your next visit before you've even finished the first one. Now let's talk sides, because they did not come to play. Coleslaw (mine): fresh, balanced, actually flavorful (which is rare because let's be honest... slaw can be a gamble). This one? Solid win. Fried okra (my friend's): I am extremely picky about fried okra. Like, I side-eye most of it. But THIS? Golden, crispy, not a hint of that weird slimy nonsense. It was so good we ordered more to take home... which tells you everything you need to know. And because we clearly make excellent life choices, we shared a chess pie for dessert. Rich, sweet, buttery perfection. What really tied it all together though? The service. Warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming without being over the top. The kind of service that makes you feel taken care of, not rushed. Bottom line: Every single bite was worth every penny--and honestly, I would've paid more and still walked out happy. This is one of those spots that doesn't just meet expectations... it casually exceeds them and then sends you home thinking about it later like a crush you're not over yet.

I love the way they prepare their chicken; they are seasoned very well with a little bit of kick to it. They are not heavily breaded. I have had chicken tender, breast and wings. Their potato salad is my favorite, so I always upgrade to that. The Mac and Cheese are good too. The wait staff are very friendly. I received an excellent service from Emily from the time I walked in until I received my order.

THIS SH** LITERALLLY WHIPPED UP SOUL!!!!…read more Hands down, this is the best Soul Food in Austin, TX. My girlfriend and I have been here 4 times in counting. Every time we come, we have been satisfied. This is a black-owned restaurant and babiiesss, this is one for the books. The best times to come are early before 5. SUNDAYS ARE SUPER BUSY, (line out the door busy), so beware of that. Let's start with the service, the owner is HIM. Every time we've come, he's greeting everyone that comes in with a calm, cool, welcoming, and assured demeanor about himself while taking orders. When he has the chance, he comes by the tables and checks in with everyone, making sure everyone is satisfied and the place is up to his standards. This man is the definition of #HANDSON! It's needed. He doesn't know it, but we really value him. The Ambiance is usually way more busier, energetic like. However, today we came closer to opening @ 11:15am and was able to enjoy sitting down without the rush. It's always great music playing, so you know I'm jamming :P The cooks keep hair nets on their heads and gloves on. It's somewhat an open window kitchen so that's cool too. There's usually a cleaning lady going around making sure the place stays clean and tables rotating. The prices aren't bad. They did just increase since the last we been here, but they're still affordable. Now for the food WITH SOULLLL... Since we've been here so many times, I'll give you the MUST TRYs! These are delicious, delightful and your tastebuds will love you for it. Plus the portions are generous and never lack in flavor. #ComfortingFood 1. Oxtail Eggrolls $14 2. Cheezy Mac (regular) $6 3. Sweet Glazed Yams (regular) $6 4. Mean Greens (regular) $6 5. Pistachio Brownie (when available) 6. Sweet Tea $3.75 7. Fried Cabbage (Weekend Side Special) My rating... this place is definitive of SOUL. It's consistent, clean, and carries the vibes! One thing about it, whether you're vegetarian or loving the meat, you'll find something to love that will lighten your soul. It's been hard to find QUALITY food here in Austin, but we found it in 'WHIP MY SOUL'. So GO, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! You won't be disappointed.

The Diablo Chicken Pasta was nice and saucy, but like the catfish beignets, was a bit bland so I needed some salt to up the flavors. OK: catfish beignets-the batter was well seasoned and crunchy, but it seemed like the actual fish needed seasoning as it was pretty bland. Grilled chicken sandwich was pretty bland too: the chicken was slightly dry and aside from the avocado, onion and tomato, there was not much flavor.
