Huge portions, Reasonable pricing, Delicious! The Country Chicken Fried Chicken is enough for two! Wow! Yummy!

After many times passing and seeing the parking lot full of cars, my fiancé and I gave Cheddars a try. Overall, the food is decent, but nothing to write home about. My fiancé and I got the spinach dip and chips for our appetizer, which had no taste and for our entrees we had the Baja Grilled Chicken from their lighter menu and Bourbon Glazed Selmon. Both dishes offered a lot of food, but very salty. I wasn't able to finish to my meal do to its portion size and didn't even want to take it home to eat. Like I said before, the food is decent, but don't see ourselves going back there again. read more

I see no reason to deduct a star from this place. We've been three times in the past couple months and it's been great each time. I got steak once and we each got fish the next and as far as I'm concerned at under $50.00 to feed two people, with drinks, the place rocks. I'm an ex cheddars manager from Dallas and Florida, I'm not sure how things have changed in 10 years since I was a manager but if you're streamlining the TOGO process then it should be quicker. I was on hold for 9 minutes and :39 seconds. I arrived at the restaurant while I was still on hold, expecting the restaurant to be weeded and it was a ghost town. I was then directed from the bar to the TOGO area where it took another 5 minutes to get greeted. Finally got my order placed and tried to get a drink as I waited for my food. Very poor experience, the one bright side was a hostess or hostess manager saw my visible frustration and tried to remedy it by pulling a manager into the mix which resulted in absolutely nothing, (not even an apology... pretty disappointing esp from someone who is extra cautious as I have 20 years background in the industry. I didn't 1 star it because things happen in this business but if you ignore the people that you know have issues you'll never be successful. I would have never been known if it wasn't for the young lady behind the hostess stand... she deserves 100% of the credit for at least noticing the issue. read more

I try not to write negative reviews after my first visit to a restaurant because I know every establishment has their off days. However, after my second visit being much worse than the first, I decided it's time to write a review and maybe save others from wasting their time and hard earned money. My first visit was back in October. I heard the ribs were good so I took my son there for his birthday. Well, the ribs were bland, the broccoli casserole was bland, the mac and cheese was horrible. Not one of us finished our meal that afternoon and I left feeling extremely disappointed as well as a little ripped off. I have three children so to drop $100 on a meal that was supposed to be special, was a huge letdown. I sent an email to complain and was contacted by a manager who told me he'd send out a couple vouchers so we could try again. I didn't receive the vouchers until around December I think, and I was surprised to see they were just for $30. I think from my first receipt that they knew this wasn't even half the cost of the meal, but whatever. I decided to give it another try last week since we were sent the vouchers. I learned that day to not return to a restaurant expecting it to be better if the experience wasn't good the first time, because this visit was much worse. I went about 6 pm with my mother, my teenage son, and my one year old daughter. The place isn't stroller friendly either. I felt like we were in the way with the stroller but we were never offered a high chair or a more spacious place to sit either. Our server was a guy named Eric who helped assist in my awful experience that evening. My son simply wanted to add cheese to his fries with his meal, nothing else. They brought the food out with cheese on one meals fries and none on my son's. When I asked, the server said he'd take care of it. In the meantime, my mom asked for Mayo, and the drinks were about empty. Well about 10 minutes later she got the Mayo when the rest of us were about finished eating. Then, after that, the server brings a huge plate of cheese fries and said this can be dessert I guess, ok really...you were better off not even bringing them at that point. And the "cheese fries" were fries with shredded cheese just sitting on them! It was ridiculous. Still didn't ask if we needed refills and no offer of a check even though we were clearly done. My daughter was screaming her head off and I just couldn't figure out why he had us just sitting there with empty plates. My mother had even been gone to the car for about 10 minutes! Did he think we had nothing better to do than sit in Cheddars with a crying baby? I had to flag this guy down and he asks do we want dessert or something! I said no ,we're beyond ready to go, could you please get the check? Now, this whole time he seemed to be attentive to all his other tables. So I was getting perturbed trying to figure out was he just giving us bad service assuming we wouldn't tip good? I have no clue but the extreme lack of customer service and consideration was disgusting. I've been served better at McDonald's. I'm tired of these restaurants popping up that have no clue on how to keep loyal customers. I emailed Cheddars once again, wishing I'd never left that guy a tip at all and letting them know how bad our experience was. I haven't heard back this time, but perhaps they're flooded with too many bad emails to respond to. Do not eat at Cheddars expecting an even decent meal. It's overpriced and I'd rather eat from the food court at the mall. read more

I had the worst customer services when my friends and I came to dine in. We were seated and waited 20 minutes for a server. After our order we're finally put in we waited for another hour for our food! The waiter was talking down on the other two parties that were in the restaurant and blaming them for the reason that our food was so delayed. We complained to the manager twice about our wait time for the food and sure enough they brought it out immediately... but IT WAS COLD! Our waiter was just so disrespectful, the food was cold and the service was awful. We decided not to wait for another meal to be prepared so we left! I usually love coming to cheddars. It was my go to spot. Today I was highly disappointed with our service. My mother and I went out to eat for lunch and received slow service. Not only was the service slow but the steak was over cooked, and by the time we got a new one we had both finished our meals. Once receiving the bill we noticed that our bill wasn't adjusted either for the error in our order. Still the service to leave was slow slow slow! It was quite a shame. The food that was cooked right was great, but this location disappointed me today. I hope that this location can pick up on its service, especially when it's not that busy. read more

The menu is unexciting. The drinks were terrible, and must have contained no more than a splash of liquor. All our meals came out incorrectly, one being later than all the others because as delivered it was not even close to the order. My sides came out with the late meal. The food was unimaginative, there was no reference to gluten free or organic choices, and a disclaimer tells you that their whitefish is a farmed fish imported from Vietnam. My first visit to Cheddar's, and my first Yelp review, ever. It is that important to let people know that the hostess was rude, and the manager was mad about me expressing a complaint. We were not treated well, and I complained to the manager. He took it seriously, until I let him know that I would never be back. He stood up, turned his back on me and walked away at a fast pace. Worst service that I have ever received. My husband and I and another couple met up for dinner here. We usually go to the Brandon location being we relocated to the Tampa area this one was closer unfortunately we won't be returning. The waiter we received was either high or new and had no idea what customer service is. Both couples ordered a app, my husband and I decided to get the famous onion rings... The other couple ordered cheese fry's. Onion rings were soggy and hardly had any breading we were disappointed my pomegranate margarita was better then my food and service. The waiter wouldn't ever come clear our app plates and salad bowls. Also I paid 3.75 for a salad and mainly for the honey crescent roll that I never received so the manger was able to bring them out after asking for them. Being we couldn't ever locate our server we constantly had to ask for refills. As he approached our table delivering everyone else's drink but mine I asked for a refill of water with lemon and he made me completely uncomfortable by seeming overwhelmed and stressed by angrily throwing his pad on the table to write it down next to us... Why? They don't charge for water? It wasn't a difficult order. Clearly this location needs to improve with the staff... Other waitresses yelling and acting immature as they pass by making us all wonder and look around trying to figure what the heck that was all about. I have not been to Cheddar's in a few years and it has always been a favorite place to eat. This location was definitely Amazing. Me and my boyfriend came in this evening and dined in and our server was Bryson. He did a phenomenal job. Everything came out perfect. I ordered a steak med rare with the tenders and broccoli casserole. My mouth watered before I could even take my first bite. My boyfriend ordered the chicken and gravy with green beans and mashed potatoes and inhaled it. Service was perfect, food couldn't have been better and the restaurant itself was clean and pretty busy. I will be back every week regularly and Bryson will be requested everytime. Went here for the first time tonight was not that impressed. Our orders came out wrong first off, and mine was cold, we sat at the bar and if it wasn't for ten bartenders Valerie and Sophia and the trainer Kristen we probably would have left. Management was no existent, took almost 30 minutes for them to bring out correct d check out after having to physically go and find a manager. Their customer service from management Gavin who didn't say a word to anyone, and dawn who was not apologetic in the least. I'm going to chalk it up to being new but the cheddars in west Melbourne and Wellington are much better. You guys are too new to have this bad of an experience. read more

I really wish I would have read some of the other reviews on this place before my husband and I took my in-laws and 1 year old son here. After waiting about 10 minutes for our beverages to arrive the waitress proceeds to dump two glasses of wine on my mother in law (i get it accidents happen but it was red wine and she'll need a new shirt) the manager apologized and comped the 4 glasses of wine for us, fair enough. However the night still went downhill our waitress never checked on us after we received our meal and we had to ask another waitress for her so we could order more wine. Being in the service industry myself this is not something I let happen to my customers and again our drinks took about 15 minutes this time. The place was not even busy so there is no excuse for such poor incompetent service. To top it off 2 entrees were extremely spicy and the menu said nothing about the grilled shrimp or chicken quesadilla being so over poweringly spicy we sucked it up and left 3/4 of our meals on the plate because we were just ready to get out of there. He started OK but when it came time for the checks, he brought the checks, they were all crumpled and he pretty much tossed the them at us. One person paid cash and was not brought back any change.
