The meat was soft, has good almost buttery flavor, and the tang from the lettuce and sauce is a nice balancing flavor. Comfort food to the max and perfect for some late night cravings. Then the excitement when reading the menu options takes over...I went with the OG just to keep my first review real. Context: I make chopped cheese sandwiches at home from an amazing recipe so I know a little bit here. Service: there is someone in line waiting for their order so the owner comes over to kindly let me know he will be with me in 3 minutes. The chef comes back in 2 minutes to take my order. We talk while they cook. Very nice and sociable. Food: I have picky taste buds and that beef was fresh as was the crunch on the roll! Flavor profile was mild and balanced and on point. For me next level would be to add more mayo and ketchup then sprinkle drops of acv to make it pop. I did this at home but that's me. I will be back with my two massive twenty something sons lol. Tried this pop up today because of the Yelp reviews I saw. Guys out here hustling, which I appreciate, and am rating this four stars because I don't think 3 is fair, but 4 is too many. The product Smack me Silly was okay, bread was the highlight. However, the value proposition here I think is very challenged. $18.00 for what is a very small sandwich and chips when there is no rent being paid, air conditioning, or seating. I can get a better and larger sandwich of the same or better quality for less at any number of places (Jersey Mike's, Dan's, Art's, etc), where I can down at a clean table with air conditioning and a bathroom and get refills on my soda. My advice would be to make the sandwich and roll substantially bigger, or cut the price down. Otherwise, don't see good long term prospects for these guys. read more
