It's reasonably priced, has great cocktails and specials and is the place to be to watch your early college games back on the mainland. I had the eggs with the Portuguese sausage (highly recommend) and mimosas with Guava juice. It's best described as a Hawaii sunrise in a drink. Better combo than any I have had. Weird getting to a bar that opens at 7 am to watch college football over mimosas but it worked and we weren't the only ones. Several Texas fans left quietly after their favored team got beat! Our last day in Hawaii so we planned to have a full breakfast on this day and to try out this spot. I got the cheeseburger scramble and my husband got the breakfast burrito and macadamia banana pancakes. All were very good. Service was good too - our waitress was hilarious. Stopped in on a weekday about 10:30 am. I passed up some other places because of long lines. There was a short line here and I decided to go for it. Service was ok and my order was served after a few minutes. The place was busy but not at capacity. I had the cheeseburger scramble with jalapeños (extra 2.50) it came with white toast and hash browns. It was average quality. I had a guava juice (obviously with sweetener - probably high fructose corn syrup).,My thought was I should have gone with the veggie three egg omelet. It is a spacious dining area with a large bar area. Average noise for the area.. My server was cool. Eye spying other patrons food - pancakes looked good, omelet looked good and just eggs with your choice of breakfast meat looked good as well. So, I gave it a 3 stars based on quality of my food and the priciness of additional items that should be complimentary. What did I expect from a place across the street from the beach? There was an hour and a half wait at another restaurant, so we decided to come to this restaurant - and I'm glad we did! This is an AWESOME place to watch sports - we were able to watch the Eagles game on every screen - love it! I don't remember our waitress but she was on top of it and was there to check on us when needed. We got the mimosa flight which originally comes with a bunch of different juices - we got orange, cranberry, guava, and grapefruit! Sooo yummy. It comes with a full bottle of champagne and 4 glasses of juice. We got the omelette and loco moco (a Hawaiian breakfast tradition!), which were both awesome! The place is big! Such a shame they get away with complete mediocrity because the foot traffic more than adequately enough pays for all the bills. There's absolutely nothing special about any part of this meal. The patty was pre-cut so you can tell it was frozen and probably the result of years of cutting corners to get a cheaper product. Nothing was outside of Costco as far as lettuce, tomato pickles . It had less charm than a Chili's. Based on yelp reviews, I got the coconut shrimp. It was a major disappointment. There was a long wait for the food after I ordered and the first plate served was clearly overcooked; one bite proved the shrimp were dry and not flavorful. No connection at all. Super uncomfortable. Then we waiting 15 minutes for our water when the guests right next to us got their waters right away. When the same short girl walked by we politely said "hello is there anyway you can get us waters" and she walks away saying ur server is over there and I reply we've waited more than 15 minutes for a water and I kid you not this girl makes a FIT. She says "oh my god are you serious" and walks away so fast. My fianve and I looked at each other like WTF was that. She brings the water and is like here is that fine and it was such a weird experience. Never in my life have we ever experienced such bad customer service. Then another server dropped off our food and we asked for ranch and she said wait for your server.. is this how the customer service is everywhere? This was just distasteful being this was the first place we decided to try out. I had been thinking about this experience all day as it had tainted our first day in Hawaii. The order came out smoking fast and all the burger were done to the right temperature. It's crazy how expensive even hamburgers have gotten since our bill for 4 was over $120. The burgers were good, but not $25 good. My onion rings were good, but they only came with 5 rings. That's unacceptable, especially for the price. I went to this establishment last night and had a beautiful time with a wonderful bartender and hostess that convinced me this would be the place for me to spend some newfound money that I had. And then there was a shift change and a new manager, who apparently thoughtI was the devil and kicked me out of this restaurant in front of everyone after being there for a couple of hours and spending over well $101, and tipping $20 to the bartender. No explanation was given. And this morning when I tried to file a formal complaint, I was told by another manager who witnessed the whole thing last night, not only within not give me the name of the manager that kicked me out, but they stood by him, kicking me out with no explanation. I do not recommend this place ever. When you can be kicked out for no reason and no explanation, it must be the fact that I'm homeless. That's right I'm homeless. The patty is pretty thick and it comes with all the normal burger dressings. It also comes with spicy fry sauce. The sauce was a bit tangy but I wouldn't call it spicy and I'm sensitive to spicy foods. If you're getting it to go and ask for sauces make sure they're in the bag. They forgot mine. read more
