I recently visited Cheeseburger In Paradise during breakfast time because it was one of the few places showing the FIFA World Cup game, and I wish I had gone somewhere else. This place is not exactly known for its breakfast, so I guess that was our mistake, but we decided to check it out anyway since we didn't have many options that early in the day. Also, I guess we were not the only ones with the same idea, because the place was packed. A cool feature is that they have numerous screens throughout the restaurant, so regardless of where you sit, you can watch your favorite team play. The staff was amazing and ensured everything ran smoothly. However, the main reason I'm giving them three stars is that the food was not great and the coffee tasted absolutely horrendous (seriously bad). Would I come back? Probably not, but the only reason I'm not giving them below three stars is because the staff was truly wonderful.

Pffffff. After trying surfing for the first time all I wanted was a burger. This spot for what it's worth is a burger joint. Service was prompt given the time of day and how filling was buy the team has it down packed. Ambiance was chill. Burger and a brew at 5pm. Shoot. What else do you want? Want a burger? Come here.

While walking , the tables near the entrance caught my eyes as the food looked so good. I grabbed a table to enjoy watching the NBA playoffs and grub and the ambiance was so chill and Theresa my server was amazing. I ordered the cheeseburger in paradise medium cooked with fries and a cold Hawaiian IPA. It was so good , I ordered wings and a salad to for dinner later. If you are loving for good food and watch sports or have a large party, this is the spot!

Not a bad burger, but not the best. The Island burger with pineapple was good, as was their bacon cheeseburger. The fries were just ok. Ok service, a bit slow due to large crowd. Great mai tais. Decorated as you might expect, with Hawaiian and surf decor. TVs were over at the bar area. Waikiki Beach is right across the street.

I ordered one of their cheap $10 mai tais. Upgraded with another shot of rum for $4 Ordered up a molasses beer, ended up tasting like coffee beer. My island burger was to die for. Our server was on top of things and provided great service. The ambiance tonight was very loud, lots of road noise, lots of loud mouthed people around me.

I am so conflicted writing this review because our waitress, Kristy, was absolutely wonderful--attentive, sweet, and fast with our delicious food and drinks. Unfortunately, the experience was completely marred by the hostess, Bryu (I believe that was the spelling). We politely asked to move our seats to get out of the direct sun, and she acted visibly annoyed that we even asked. It got worse from there: she stood nearby talking about us to other staff members, laughing and pointing in our direction. It was incredibly rude and unprofessional, leaving us feeling deeply uncomfortable and upset. Kristy deserves five stars, but management seriously needs to address Bryu's (again, I believe that this was the spelling) behavior. A customer should never be made to feel like a burden or the butt of a joke just for asking for a comfortable seat.

Super cool vibes! Friendly staff! Our waitress was awesome! The food was great as well! My wife and I split a burger and fries with each of us getting a smoothie - so good and refreshing! My brother got a huge order of nachos and devoured that real quick! We definitely had an appetite after the plane ride so this place hit the spot!

We stopped by Cheeseburger in Paradise located at 2500 Kalakaua Avenue in Waikiki Beach Honolulu. Admittedly the happy hour Bloody Mary's for $7 drew us in but unfortunately they were underwhelming to say the least. The bloody mix was watered down or something and it wasn't very good, but I suppose that you get what you pay for... We didn't order anything else but we might return to try some of the food offerings. 2.5 stars rounded up to 3.

We stopped in for a couple of cocktails after dinner at another location. It was packed. We were lucky to find a seat at the bar. Lucky for me, it was also sunset. This location is PRIME for sunset. I did cross the street to grab a couple of pictures. Our drinks were good, service was quick and friendly.

Food: *** C. My boo came here while I was working and had the Ali'i Cheeseburger. He said if he would have just had that and nothing else he would have rated the food here a 5 but on his second time here (my first time) we had the small portioned poke nachos and chicken wings with onion rings. The chicken wings came out cold and we prefer our wings to have a little more meat on the bone. Service: **** B, My fiancé says when there's two sides to this. When they're backed up their service goes to hell but when they slow down they're very personable. I think their service is great; Nolan changed the TV for us so we had straight on viewing of the Detroit Lions game so that was exceptional service! Ambiance: **** B. open-air concept with tropical vibe. Lot of people hanging out watching their football teams. Nutrition tip: order the ahi poke nachos for a healthier take on nachos. Don't expect them to have beans and cheese on them, these come with won top chips and soy sauce!

While in Waikiki today, hungry after doing a test run from Kapolei on the Skyline and bus into town. Decided to grab a bite at this restaurant along the road that run a next to beach. Being a tourist spot we knew it would be slightly pricier. Husband ordered burger and order a Mahi Burger. Husband very happy with his burger and fries. My Mahi Burger was tasty, and salad instead of fries. The place was lively given games that were going on at the time. The interior is part bar with sports playing on the screens in this section restaurant. Our server was great. Wish I asked his name to give him a shout out for his friendly efficient service.

Fun, cool environment. Fast service. Server was friendly. Food just okay. Fish tacos way too salty. Mahi mahi sandwich good. Burgers juicy but feel overpriced for what you get. Paying for the experience. Update: Went to Lulus for dinner last night and the burgers were so much better!

This place is good, the location is ideal and we never had a problem with getting seated quickly, our server Celeste was super sweet and even gave us suggestions of where we get some good local bites! The food is good, I don't think it's crazy impressive but it will not disappoint. I will say the poke nachos were good but a tad salty so maybe asking for not to much of the sauces would be a good thing

    Do they do takeout orders?

Is there parking close by? If so how much?

There is street parking and if you drive around, a spot can open up. There is also a parking garage connected to The Royal Hawaiian shopping center a few blocks down that is about $4 an hour.

    Do you take reservations?

They didn't when we visited two weeks ago. It was first come first serve basis.

Can I take out the food?

Yes, you can call your order in and pick up to go😀

We started with a shrimp elote special and the chicken liver mousse. The shrimp elote was unique and flavorful. The mousse was my favorite thing of the night. So rich and creamy and the cherry marmalade paired so well with it. Love that they provided ample bread to go with it. I had to try the la chancla cocktail - the mayo washed mezcal caught my eye. It sounds a little strange but it was very good and was quite strong. For entrees we got the carbonara and zucchini lemon risotto. The carbonara was really rich and the Portuguese sausage added a nice touch. Looking at pictures of it beforehand I was worried the portion size would be small but it's served on a large bowl making the portion look smaller than it is. The risotto had a refreshing tangy sweetness from the lemon. Both have the option of adding on crispy prosciutto for $4. We didn't but saw some that other people ordered and it looked amazing - next time! One of the servers there provided a great recommendation with a wine pairing for the carbonara and let me try a rose before committing. It wasn't something I would normally have chosen but it worked well and I'm grateful for his helpfulness.

Just sprinkle some salt and it would be perf. - Chopped - All kine goodies in this salad but the dressing was very "nothing." I added some garlic salt when I ate the leftovers and it kicked it up a notch. - Chicken Pappardelle - The pasta was terrible. So thick and doughy. Took away from the chicken which was okay. Ended up dumping the leftover pasta...which was pretty much the whole thing. - Oxtail Mac & Cheese - This was more like an Oxtail Helper (like Hamburger Helper). Very not cheesey. Baby ate some but think she wanted more cheese. Tasted better the next day. Friends had the Prime. The temp on each was given to the wrong person, which needed to be right since 1 person didn't get the roasted pot. The medium-rare one was cold. Like COLD. Strange. Overall think they fell a little short on the food. Some things GREAT, some thing the opposite, so balanced out. Will I go back? Of course, but now I know what not to get.

As a 12-year food service old-head, I can almost guarantee it was just taken from a cooler and microwaved, albeit not nearly long enough. Same for the au jus; it was steaming hot when it came out but room temp within 2-3 minutes, pretty hallmark microwave trait. They also had a crispy bread starter with some sort of bright red syrup in a tiny plastic cup. The bread wasn't bad but the syrup tasted like straight cough syrup. The kitchen timers were also insanely loud. I sat at the counter and they were uncomfortably shrill even to me, I can't imagine what it does to those poor cooks' ears over time. After 3 bites of meat I gave up and just finished the plain microwaved corn and rice before getting the check. It's one of those spaces where you hope the next place finally sticks. But the food at Scratch Kitchen? Absolutely delicious. The kind of meal where the pictures alone make your mouth water. If "smell‑a‑vision" or "lick‑your‑screen" technology existed, everyone would understand exactly what I mean. Every dish was full of flavor, beautifully done, and perfect for a Mother's Day treat.
