This is the second time I've been to Chic n' Time, and the food has been phenomenal each time. I ordered the Shrimp Rolls and Cajun Chicken Wings with a side of rice. The Shrimp Rolls include 6 rolls and contain peanuts; they were incredibly fresh and had a hint of mint. The Cajun Chicken Wings are served with broccoli and Jasmine rice or garlic noodles. They are covered in their signature Cajun sauce which tastes like a perfect blend of Cajun and Asian flavors. It is not too spicy, but if you are concerned they also come with a no spice option. I think where Chic n' Time truly shines is with the owners. Good chicken here. I had the fried chicken steak with garlic noodles adding a fried egg and imperial roll $21 dining indoors. The ordering system is, you pay at the cashier and then grab a table. They have a little parklet with heat lamps outside. My food came out in 15 minutes. I enjoyed the thin chicken steak. It had a good spice and tasted like Quickly's Taiwanese favors. I do recommend adding the red powder to give it some more flavor. It is not spicy at all. Their garlic noodles are not as good as Ben Tre's or PPQ's. It was a small side without a lot of garlic. I had worst. After my meal, I ordered a popcorn chicken to-go and a side of garlic noodles for tomorrow. Service is as expected for a counter ordering restaurant. This is a total hidden gem. The 5 spices chicken vermicelli is an all time favorite of mine for a hot day or after yoga or a workout. It's made with tons of refreshing mint and greens and cucumber, super flavorful and light. Comfort food of all kinds, large portions fast service and the owner is extremely nice and generous. He once let me come in and order before he officially opened cause I was looking through the window waiting, they also bring the food out to you pretty quickly. Boba is also good here and they carry one of my favorite brands of Sake. For a quick and satisfying meal this is one of my top choices on Valencia. Don't be fooled by the causal environment- the food is something you don't want to miss out on. (Also don't expect fine dining, this is a down to earth quality meal made authentically and consistently reliable with family values in their service which is hard to find these days. - reading some of the reviews and rolling my eyes at the expectations. You can ask for different levels of heat for the Chile powder. I've had the chicken steak which is one big, fried piece and it is alright but I found some prices were dry. My new favorite spot in the mission! I stopped in with my boyfriend and sister on a Saturday for lunch. All of the food options looked so tasty that we had a hard time deciding what to order. The owners were very friendly and helped us choose what to try. We ended up ordering the garlic noodles with fried chicken steak and peppercorn chicken wings. We loved everything! The wings and fried chicken steak were both so juicy and crispy without being oily. The garlic noodles were very tasty too. Usually after eating fried food and garlic noodles I tend to feel a little sluggish or my stomach feels a little off, but I did not feel that way after this meal! Our family of 3 had the following (and had plenty of leftovers): 1) Popcorn chicken - tasty, and great for kids 2) Garlic chicken wings - perfectly crispy 3) Cajun chicken wings - great flavor, with a nice kick 4) Garlic noodles with shrimp - delicious (my favorite, though a bit too buttery for my husband) 5) 5 spice chicken with vermicelli and imperial rolls - good (the chicken could have used a bit more seasoning) 6) Drunken Whale sake - excellent - smooth and balanced The staff was very friendly and helpful - you order at the counter and then they bring your food out to your table when it's ready. The outdoor Parklet was great, especially since we have a young child who is not yet eligible for vaccination - we appreciated the outdoor dining option. Very lovely, cozy locally owned Vietnamese shop in Delores. Came here after a nippy day in the park with my friend because my friend and I were craving some soup to warm us up from the nippy day! Popped in here and were welcomed by sweet owner. My friend and I split the spicy vegetarian pho and shrimp spring rolls. Both were delicious! We also got Vietnamese coffee, which is always classic. All three of us were drawn to the five-spice chicken and garlic noodle dish. I had just had this dish for the first time at Perilla a few weeks ago so was eager to try the Chic n' Time rendition. We also got a shrimp roll appetizer to split. The shrimp rolls were a little underwhelming in my opinion. We got three rolls for $9 and they were not very large. The accompanying sauce was also not as flavorful or thick as other fried peanut sauces I have had in the past. The five-spice chicken and garlic noodles were so delicious though. The chicken skin was perfectly crisped and the meat was juicy. As far as I can tell, the garlic noodles is this restaurant's signature dish and they were also solid. My brother and I were around the area looking for Asian food and what better than to have Vietnamese Fusion. What caught my eye the most was the fried Taiwanese chicken cutlet with garlic noodles and that's exactly what I got. Let me tell you, it was amazing. The cutlet was perfectly fried, moist, and the batter didn't fall off the chicken like most places. The garlic noodles were like no other. They were so rich in flavor of garlic, salt, and what I thought was cream. We also got the Satay Pho which was a unique twist to Pho and tasted more like Thai chicken satay sticks but in a soup form with Pad Thai noodles. We also started off with the peppercorn chicken wings and there are no complaints about that - moist and crunchy. The best part of my experience here was the owner Mike, his friendliness and service was unbeatable. Mike is a cool dude and he's really experienced and passionate about his food. Just discovered this gem tonight, and it easily became one of my top favorite restaurants in SF now! Everything from their delicious food, the welcoming service, and the kind workers here is what makes me want to come back again. It's a Taiwanese Vietnamese fusion--coincidentally the same ethnicities I am, and the food is seriously authentic. Driving 20 minutes from San Mateo was so worth it!! Michael, the owner, is very kind and respectfully prideful of the recipes he created. Everything I tried on the menu was sooo good! The Fried Chicken Cutlet Steak (pronounced "ji pai" in Mandarin) is actually a popular street food snack from Taiwan, and their recipe tasted exactly the same from my motherland. I also love how they include fried basils with the popcorn chicken, I instantly became nostalgic of Taiwan from trying it. The chicken they use is so juicy because they definitely use dark meat. I recommend asking for chili powders for the chicken if you like an extra kick! My favorite was their Garlic Noodles--I think these are the best garlic noodles I've ever had. Definitely a must-try. Not only do they have an extensive menu, but their drink options are really good too! I ordered their Vietnamese Iced Coffee and it's exactly how I like it. They also have outdoor seating and it's located in a good area. I'll probably be back this weekend to order more because it was that good! read more

I had never seen this place in SF but my boyfriend and I were craving some good popcorn chicken and wanted to support a local business and I'm so happy we came here!!! The employees working were super nice and were patient with all my questions about the sweetness of their boba tea! I would recommend the milk teas here if you like it a little bit less sweet or if you prefer the tea flavor more than sweetness. I got the regular milk tea 75% sweet with boba and 2 orders of popcorn chicken. The wait time was about 8-10 minutes, not that long and definitely worth the wait! The boba was good and a little bit on the chewier side which I love and the tea was great. The popcorn chicken was PHENOMENAL!! I swear I've never had popcorn chicken this amazing. The $9 price is well worth it because each and every single piece was perfectly crisp on the outside with a balance of seasoning and the inside was juicy, tender, and had a great flavor. I'm getting cravings again rn just from typing this review. Honestly this chicken was the shit!!! So yummy. And this is coming from someone who has worked at a chicken joint for 2 years!! There was a little container of powdered spices for each other in which you can put on top of the chicken so you can adjust the spice to your liking. I love spice so I poured the whole thing and shook the container and it was a life changing experience. I swear they do some magic on the chicken- the basil pieces really added some good balance to the crunch and spiciness of the chicken. I saved some for the next day and popped them in the air fryer and they were still so so great as leftovers. 10/10 would recommend especially if you love popcorn chicken. I walked by a few times and thought they were never open but in fact they just close for lunchtime, which I found odd but I guess during Covid they just don't get enough customers to justify being opened.
