Grilled Pork & Egg Roll Noodle
    Manny Y.

Came here in a Friday for lunch. A couple of tables were occupied. I sat near the window. I ordered the imperial rolls from the appetizer and grilled pork and shrimp with rice form rice plates. The gentleman who looks like the owner came to take my order. He brought me water and utensils. He first brought the rolls and I ate them then he brought the rice dish but the plate was like a tower with the shrimp in top and one shrimp fell on the table as he was brining the dish. Firstly, they should just put shrimp on the side so it doesn't fall and the waiter should have acknowledged the shrimp falling. On the grilled items you can taste the gas from grill on the meat. The place is small so it's quaint. It probably gets full at dinner.

Both the Eggplant rice dish and the tofu banh mi came out looking like a million bucks. The banh mi was crunchy, the jalapenos packed a kick and the cilantro was fresh. The tofu itself was ok, could use a bit of flavor. Eggplant went well with rice, though it can use a little more flavor and little less sugar. The jasmine tea was nice and served in a tall glass.

Take out review for their rare beef ans tendon noodles. This Vietnamese restaurant is pretty hard to get to since all the parking nearby is nearly impossible to get. The bike lanes are taking over SF. Okay so the restaurant looks dingy and unclean and their menus are sticky. The guy was unfriendly and the portion was small. Felt like it was a little below average with their food. I would skip this place and go for somewhere where they have more customers and fresher food.

Fire. Cute little hole in the wall with cute old man running things. Very cozy and lowkey vibes. Got the egg rolls, spicy lemongrass beef vermicelli bowl, and large pho with steak & flank. It was definitely too much food for two small women, but it was delicious! The pho was good- the broth was not super rich, but it was well spiced and had a HUGE serving. Comes with your usual toppings. Nothing outstanding, but very solid. The vermicelli bowl was great- I haven't had this peppery savory flavor much when having Vietnamese food, so I really enjoyed it. Huge serving as well with lots of veggies! The beef was very tender. Saved the best for last-- the egg rolls were awesome. I don't love fried food, but these have me wanting to go back for me right now. They have a fun breaded(?) crispy exterior and are packed with filling, unlike the small and skinny egg rolls you typically get at restaurants. Very affordable and super quick service. I will definitely be back!!

Good food and friendly service. Parking is a bit difficult but otherwise would be back .

Pleasant surprise. We had the pork chops & chicken with vegetables which were both quite nice. The chicken tasted like they were from a Chinese restaurant bookmarking this place incase i'm back In the neighborhood.

This place has become a staple of mine whenever I'm in the city. Ordered the lemongrass chicken with vermicelli and the pork chop rice plate and both were so fresh and flavorful! Flavor bombs all around The portions are smaller than other Vietnamese places but I think they're the perfect size. And food comes out fast :D

Came here with no line on a Tuesday dinner. Good: - Pho bowl came out so quickly! We ordered and five minutes later it was ready to go - I liked the chicken pho here a ton it was different than I expected and had a lot of flavor - Good portion sizes and prices, really good value Bad: - Service was minimal and the place was small Overall I enjoyed coming! Would come again

I had the seafood soup with egg noodle. The broth was tasty and glistened. The single piece of shrimp was delicate and tender. The single piece of cuttlefish was delicate and tender. The single slice of fish cake was delicate and tender. I think you get the point why 4 not 5 stars. At $14.95, that's a lot for 3 pieces of seafood.

Delicious place with massive portions of diverse Vietnamese fare! Came here with a friend who rec'ed it! Ambience - 7/10 -- Small hole in the wall place with tables quite close together. At one point, a group of 12+ came in and they combined a bunch of tables. Service - 8/10 -- Timely service, considering how crowded it is! Just one guy as waiter, very pleasant and friendly. Having our water pitcher was helpful! Quality - 9/10 -- Delicious! Got a large bean-sprout-filled dish (bánh xèo) and a large beef combo pho. Either could be a meal for two people! Value - 10/10 -- Large portions, very filling! Overall - 9/10 -- Greatly enjoyed this place, highly recommend, especially when less crowded!

Grilled pork & egg roll vermicelli noodle
    Sandy Q.

Hubby and I needed a quick lunch but I didn't feel like eating Mexican or American food so I ended up choosing this place. We ordered grilled pork & egg roll vermicelli noodle and the special combination beef noodle soup. Our food arrived about 5 minutes later. In terms of flavor, I thought the vermicelli noodle was just okay. The egg roll wrapper was quite hard (didn't look like the traditional egg roll wrapper that you can find at other Vietnamese restaurants) and the dipping sauce that came with this dish was bland. I wanted to add more flavor to this dish but I didn't see any fish sauce on any of the tables. No comment on the beef noodle soup since I don't eat beef.

Solid quick spot for Viet food in the Mission! Came here on a Tuesday night and ordered the Pho Dac Biet and Grilled 5 Spice Chicken Over Rice. The pho broth was quite flavorful and good beefy taste. There was a fair amount of beef too, some fatty and some more lean. Noodles were on the firmer side, which I prefer. I liked the chicken rice plate a bit more though--you could really taste the char on the chicken, and the fish sauce added a nice sweet/sour to the dish. It did feel like the chicken wasn't freshly cooked though and may have been sitting out. Service was quick and a good amount of seating inside

"IT'S QUE VIET!"…read more No Superman here, but let me be your hero for a second because I'm about to put you on to, hands down, **the best Vietnamese food I've ever had**. I actually discovered Que Viet through DoorDash and had everything delivered. I ordered the Deep-Fried Imperial Rolls (Cha Gio), Grilled Chicken & Chicken Imperial Roll Garlic Noodles (Mi Top Ga Nuong Cha Gio Ga), Grilled Pork Sausage Rolls (Nem Cuon), Vietnamese Shrimp Mini Crepes (Banh Xeo Tom), and the Grilled Pork Sausage & Sliced Pork Woven Vermicelli (Banh Hoi Nem & Thit Nuong). Yes... I spent almost **$100 for two people**. Looking back at the receipt, I had to ask myself, *"Is this place expensive, or am I just fat?"* Honestly... probably a little of both. Either way, it was one of the best $100 I've ever spent. If it's your first time ordering from Que Viet, do yourself a favor and get the **garlic noodles**. I know garlic noodles are everywhere these days, but these completely changed my expectations. They were perfectly cooked with an incredible bounce, packed with rich garlicky flavor, and the portion size was generous enough for leftovers (if you have the self-control). I also tried the **Banh Hoi Nem & Thit Nuong** for the first time, and it did not disappoint. One heads-up, though: it's generously topped with crushed peanuts. My friend has a peanut allergy, so thankfully we caught it before digging in. If you have any nut allergies, be sure to mention it when ordering. Every single dish arrived fresh, flavorful, and tasted like it had just come out of the kitchen despite being delivered. That's not something you can say about many places. If you ever find yourself in the city, you **need** to make a stop at Que Viet. This place has been living rent-free in my head ever since, and I already know I'll be back the next chance I get.

Some dishes were better prepared than others, but overall, the food was solid across the board. If you enjoy making your own spring rolls, you'll love the grilled pork skewers. The pork is super tender and has such a incredible flavor profile of lemongrass, garlic, fish sauce, and more. Rolled up with the woven vermicelli noodles and fried wonton crisps in a rice paper, you get a wonderful combination of texture in a single bite. The other crowd favorite of the night was the bánh xèo -- the stuffed rice crepe. The bánh xèo here is by far the best one that I've ever had, even surpassing ones I had in Vietnam. The outside was insanely crispy and and was surprisingly not particularly oily, while the inside was loaded with fillings. Two other dishes that were well received by the group was the betel leaf wrapped grilled beef and the sugar cane shrimp. The beef had a very similar flavor profile as the pork, but the texture was a lot more lean. The shrimp had a bouncy, yet firm texture to it, and was very well-seasoned. My only qualm with the shrimp dish is that the sugarcane did not actually have any sweetness to it. There's fish sauce on the table along with a shrimp paste sauce, but to be honest, every dish we had was so flavorful on its own, the sauces aren't even needed. The only dish that we ordered that fell short was the grilled river shrimp. The presentation of the shrimp is impressive and very photogenic, but the flavor was lacking and the cook was inconsistent. Some people had shrimp that was undercooked -- borderline raw, and on the other end of the spectrum, others had shrimp that was so overcooked, that it was very difficult to remove the shrimp from the shell without completely tearing the meat. That said, everything else we ordered was well-prepared, and very tasty. Service was good throughout the meal, and I would definitely come back again for a meal with a large group. 4.5 experience rounding up to a 5.
