Super casual easy going spot with delicious and fresh food. Obviously the main thing here is chicken so we tried the popcorn chicken and spring rolls. Both were solid and tasted very fresh! Loved the texture of the popcorn chicken. I appreciated that the food is served on actual plates and not disposable or a basket or to go containers. Makes it more dine in friendly. Will definitely return to try a bunch more items! Service was friendly and patient while we took a moment to decide on what to get. Highly recommend!

Who doesn't like fried chicken? It's like a katsu but with popcorn chicken seasoning. That along with a nice bowl of satay noodles. Would def come back to try out their different noodles that they have.

I may be an outlier in my experience with Chic n' Time as I thought everything was just ok. My visit took place about a month ago. I opted for a bowl of shrimp pho and had a few bites of the spicy noodle soup. The shrimp pho ($17.XX) was rather bland, particularly the broth. I was expecting at least some bean sprouts or other toppings to be included. Substitutions aren't encouraged or accomodated, but at least the cashier ran the idea with the chef/manager. The restaurant does have a nice inviting space for quick dining. Chic n' Time is located in the heart of the Mission, parking can be difficult, but lots of bus lines near by and BART is about a few blocks away. I'm willing to try this restaurant again, but probably not any time soon. #4/2025

simple and quick place to get a balanced meal for a good price. got the five spice chicken with garlic noodles. SO GOOD! noodles were slightly overcooked (too soft) but strong umami garlic flavor. chicken was super flavorful and the sweet sauce really balanced out the salty flavors. loved that there is a side of steamed broccoli to balance out the flavorful meal. overall, a solid place and come hungry since the portions are huge!

Quick weekend afternoon late lunch for 2 around 2:30pm. Restaurant was about 1/3 full with a casual stream of to go orders too. Was able to order right away. Order from the counter in the back. Menu is available and you can step aside to look through it if needed. After ordering, grab a seat anywhere and the food will come out to you. Drinks are self serve from a fridge next to the ordering counter. Taiwanese chicken steak. Typically my go to, if not the five spice chicken. Can be ordered with white rice or garlic noodles. Also a few pieces of brocoli. Their garlic noodles are great but I opted for rice this time. The chicken is a huge piece, perfectly fried. Crispy exterior with very juicy meat inside. Comes with a red chili pepper powder you can sprinkle on the dish + a sweet and sour type sauce that pairs nicely with the chicken. Just under $20 for a dish that'll fill you up well.

I wasn't planning on coming to this spot; it ended up being a back up to a restaurant I wanted to go to originally, but the line was too long at that place. I'm glad I ended up stumbling upon Chic n' Time as I had a great meal here. I ordered the popcorn chicken as an appetizer and for my main course, I got the garlic butter prawns with garlic noodles. The portions here are generous, and the flavors are on point. The chili powder for the popcorn chicken is really flavorful and added a nice kick to the appetizer. The popcorn chicken bites were pretty tender and had a lot of crunch. The garlic butter prawn dish was on the oily side given the amount of butter they put, but it was good! They also added some broccoli which helped the dish taste just a tad healthier than what it actually is lol. We also had a taro milk tea to share which frankly wasn't that good. Definitely not a place to get your milk tea fix. I'd skip out on the drinks here, but do try their food items. You'll leave stuffed and with a box of leftovers!

Came here on a Thursday night and there were no issues finding a seat! Lots of seating and nice staff. Good: - I got the garlic noodles with BBQ chicken - definitely good portion sizes here, you won't be hungry coming out of it - I liked the crunchy texture of the BBQ chicken too - The vibe is very chill and we sat there for a while catching up - quiet inside Bad: - Took some time for the food to come out Overall was a really fun casual place to get a meal. It's not too expensive and the food is unique!

I placed an pick up order Via Uber Eats for a restaurant I've eaten at plenty of times called "Perilla" when I arrived I noticed the door said Chic N' Time, I immediately walk out of the restaurant thinking I went into the wrong place. I confirm on my phone the address and it shows that I am at the correct place. I go back inside and speak with an employee and I ask him was this Perilla, he looked confused and said no this is Chic N Time, I asked him where was Perilla, he said he never heard of them. I then show him my Uber Eats order on my phone and he confirmed that he had my order and it was ready for pick up. I reluctantly take the food and return home, soon as I open the bag I can instantly tell that this was not going to be to my liking. I ordered the grilled beef and garlic noodles, it honestly looked like a sliced New York steak strip, tasted nothing like the beef from Perilla. I reached out to Uber Eats, they tried to deny my refund request at first but I escalated it to a manager and eventually my order was approved for a refund. Google list two locations for Perilla, 525 Haight st and 836 Irving St. Something is going on, either this restaurant is catfishing as Perilla on Uber Eats and is stealing pictures from the real Perilla or some type of "partnership" is going on between these two. Below I will show a picture of what I am use to getting from Perilla at 525 Haight st vs what I received today from "Chic N Time. Ubereats was not able to give me an answer to this whole ordeal. I am very confused.

I'm so happy I found this spot. You can't get good 5 Spice Chicken at too many places in the Bay Area, but here you can. They also have another of my favs, Garlic Noodles, so "Say less!". The staff is so friendly and welcoming. The service is great. And it's a little hole-in-the-wall located in a lively area. It could use a refresh though.

Food: - Garlic noodles are buttery, salty, and full of chunks of garlic. - Five spice chicken thigh is perfectly seasoned and moist. - Fried chicken is crunchy, moist, but a bit salty. - Satay pho was a lot spicier than I was anticipating and I actually could not finish the broth. Service: Feels to be family owned and cashier/food servers were always very kind. Ambiance: - There is seating inside and outside. - A lot of people were grabbing take out. Stopped by Chic N Time for dinner around 8:30 pm on a Friday. It was close to their closing time (9pm) but they still had a few groups of people dining. We ordered at the front counter and they gave us a number to place at our table. My friend and I ordered the popcorn chicken and peppercorn wings with garlic noodles (+$1 since it normally comes with rice). The food came out fresh in about 10-15 minutes. As soon as we tasted the chicken, we totally understood why they had it in their restaurant name. Both the popcorn chicken and the peppercorn chicken were juicy, crispy and flavorful. Popcorn chicken had the right amount of batter coating and the seasoning hit the spot. It also comes with the spicy seasoning that you can dust on to taste -- would highly recommend! Peppercorn chicken wings were good, though I don't really know what the peppercorn flavor was supposed to taste like. Garlic noodle was fine, a bit on the dry side, but not bad at all. The stars here are the chicken and I was definitely impressed; will for sure come by again!

Came here in a pretty large group after church. We come pretty regularly and every time we do they are always so sweet and accommodating. The food is also really good and the portions are more than enough! I love the five spice chicken garlic noodles! The five spice chicken is def the star! The owners and employees are always so welcoming and quick to help. I definitely recommend coming here for a nice casual bite, the food, the staff, and vibes will not disappoint!

I saw the reviews and HAD to go... it lived up to the hype! I got the crab pasta with garlic noodles which was PERFECT; I can not overstate how fucking good it was. There was tons of crab and the noodles were the 10/10, creamy and just the right amount of garlic favor. The five spice chicken was super flavorful and tender. The only thing I would change (and this is minor) is that the broccoli could have had a seasoning because it was just steamed with nothing on it. Forgot to take pics until I had already eaten some but they are below . I wish I lived here so I could come back to try everything :( read more

Every month I take my knives to get sharpened down at Bernal cutlery, out of curiosity I popped up the yelp app and did a random search. Chic n time came up and I was like "ah what ever, let's try it" I ordered the garlic butter crab with noodles, flavor was good! The consistency of the noodles were good, the consistency of the garlic sauce were good, and they use REAL crab which is a plus for me. I loved how they used black pepper as a spice which surprisingly wasn't too overwhelming. Overall I would t mind coming back read more

This place is a garlic lover's heaven. We got here at around 7:30 on a Saturday night, ordered, and received our food in about 10-15 minutes. We ordered the peppercorn chicken wings and peppercorn prawns, both with garlic noodles, but I really wanted to try everything on their menu!! The playes arrived loaded with minced garlic on top, which I honestly could not get enough of. The portions are more than satisfying for $15, and we left with leftovers. The owner regularly checked in on how we enjoyed the food as they only opened 4 months ago. Needless to say I will be coming back regularly!! read more

They had just opened for 3 days but food was made timely and the service was awesome. Really recommend the 5 spice chicken or fried chicken steak on garlic noodles. The imperial rolls were amazing too... will definitely be coming back quite often! read more

I haven't left a yelp review in absolute YEARS, that's how fantastic this place is! I was in town doing some shopping and meeting a friend, walked by this place and saw a couple eating some absolutely delicious looking meals so I made the decision to come back. Best decision EVER! I had the chicken fried chicken with the garlic noodles and.. I'm a petite woman and I ate almost the whole damn thing. It was that delicious. The man at the counter was SUPER friendly and welcoming. I can't say enough, just wish I lived closer so I could come once a week. read more

Decided to try this passing through the neighborhood. Normally I'm skeptical getting crab anything but I decided to try it and I was pleased to find a copious amount of crab on the garlic noodles. Also got the crispy chicken steak which came with paprika which I put too much on. The bottom was slightly soggy by the time we opened it up in the car, probably because they gave it to us immediately out of the fryer. read more

I recently moved into the neighborhood and thought I'd better find a good place for garlic noodles ASAP. Little did I know how much of a gem I would find! My brother and I enjoyed the bbq chicken garlic noodles, 5 spice garlic noodles, cajun chicken wings, and a bottle of sake the person that took our order recommended. The cajun chicken wings came out first and were delightful! Not too spicy, but packing a lot of flavor. The wings were cooked perfectly and were not fatty like you get at some places. The bbq chicken had a little bit of spice to it, but also a great flavor. The true star of the show were the garlic noodles though. They had the perfect blend of garlic and buttery flavor, but were not too oily. Went very well with the chicken. My brother thoroughly enjoyed his 5 spice chicken. The sake was a little pricey, but very tasty. They also have a good beer selection in bottles and a few on tap. I can't wait to come back! read more

10/10 with the seafood and the service. they're a new restaurant in the mission but the food is top notch and also theyre asian-owned so gotta stan no matter. really good balance of garlic and butter without feeling too heavy so don't feel tentative about ordering the seafood if it's your first time. also great chicken and garlic noodles. overall great first time experience. read more

came by for the garlic noodles and they did not disappoint!! a big shout out to the owner though - he was so attentive and friendly, not overbearing but the definition of "anticipate their needs before they do". he also told us a better way to eat the imperial rolls (wrapped in lettuce, mint, and noodles before dipping in the sauce) and made us laugh every time he came by to refill our waters or give us extra napkins. there were a lot of takeout orders but our food came out quickly, the sidewalk patio seating was nicely spaced out with space heaters for warmth, and there were way more prawns than i expected in my delicious garlic noodles. we'll be back to try the pho next time! read more

I normally don't like Pho but I craved it. I saw the Fried Chicken and Pho combo and leapt for it. They delivered and it was everything I wanted. I couldn't eat more than half of it one sitting. I was so hungry I didn't even take photos - just assembled my pho from the delivery and ate. It was spicy. It made my eyes water. It felt wholesome. read more

Ive been here a couple times now and had the peppercorn wings (crunchy, garlicky, perfect), the garlic noodles with crab (best garlic noodles in the city) and the popcorn chicken (also a 10/10). Boba is good. Service was alright. The food was not worth it. I paid about 12 dollars for 6 wings, on average 2 dollars per chicken wing. The plate we received had a small puddle of sauce and the chicken's texture was over cooked. read more

We came here after a night out to grab a drink and a little snack and ended up having a nice little chat with the owner Michael about the place and the food they served. While we were waiting for our order we ended chatting about all of the types of food they offered and he even gave us some of their garlic noodles to try! And after he even had some fried chicken steak cooked up for us to taste as well! All of the food we had was absolutely delicious and I can't speak highly enough of how friendly and open the people were here! We'll definitely be back to get more of the delicious food! read more

Finally got a chance to stop by here on a Sunday afternoon. They have outdoor seating (although it doesn't look like they have any heat lamps yet, but it's pretty warm in the mission so you don't need them until the sun goes down). We had the red curry with chicken, the lobster garlic noodles, and the cajun chicken wings. The wings and curry were delicious, the perfect spice level where it's super flavorful with a nice kick but not too much heat. The lobster garlic noodles were decadent and delicious. We'll have to try the crab as well. The portions are very generous, we left full with enough for another meal. They also had a promotion going where if you get a mix and match entree you can get a second item 50% off, which is a pretty sweet deal. Looking forward to eating here again, it's fast & delicious comfort food! read more

This is a very unassuming restaurant in Mission but definitely worth a stop! My friend and I split the five-spice chicken vermicelli and the crab garlic noodles. Both were really delicious. Super generous portions at a great price. The five-spice vermicelli was perfectly seasoned and not too heavy and very appetizing. The crab garlic noodles were really good - a great Asian pasta fusion. We came in a large group for lunch on Sunday afternoon and the owners gave us tempura on the house which was also delicious. I've ordered delivery several times and have never been disappointed. Since Uber was offering a promotion I couldn't refuse, I decided to get the 5 spice chicken with garlic noodles & an extra order of garlic noodles (small). So glad I got the extra garlic noodles because the portion size of the 5 spice chicken was generous enough to make 2 meals. The chicken was tasty, not overly salty nor dry. The garlic noodles although weren't quite al dente, were still firm enough, definitely not mushy & filled w/ tasty bits of garlic that weren't raw but still garlicky. I really enjoyed my 2 meals in one! read more

We visited on a Thursday evening and were lucky enough to find street parking shortly after 6 p.m. We were seated immediately, but a line started forming not long after. So definitely come early!

I did take out at Chic n' Time for the first time last night and had a great experience. The staff was friendly and welcoming. I only had to wait around 5 minutes for my drink and 15 minutes for my to-go order. I love the restaurant's ambiance and its clean and modern interior. There are also plenty of seats for dine-in. - I ordered five-spice chicken with garlic noodles (one of the restaurant's best-sellers) and it did not disappoint! The chicken was well-seasoned and juicy, while the noodles were buttery and garlicky --- they paired well together! - The fried chicken steak was quite big, still hot and crispy when I got home. - I also love the spring rolls: the outside was crunchy and the inside had a lot of filling.
