Prime Filet Mignon

5 stars for Chicago Cut Steakhouse - wow! I went here for a business lunch and it was amazing, I've never been here before this - it was on a Wednesday and it was packed that's how you know the food is good! We had a seafood tower to start with and that was awesome it comes with shrimp, sashimi, lobster tail, oysters and a bunch of sauces. For the entree, I had the filet mignon - excellent steak great quality and tasted fantastic with the celebration sauce it came with. Definitely recommend doing a business lunch here or a special occasion dinner - fancy nice place with great service.

Was in town for a work meeting and this was the place that was chosen for our big group meal. Half of our group walked to the restaurant due to the traffic while the others took an uber. Guess what? We made it all at the same time. LOL. I ordered the Dijon Herb-crusted rack of lamb and I had tuna tartare. I'll be honest I wasn't a fan of the breading on the chops but the flavor was decent. We ended up sitting outside on the river getting nice views as the sunset over the water. I did end up walking back to the hotel to not be stuck in traffic and walked down the big meal that I had just ate. The bathroom is in a weird corner in the back of the restaurant. Mind the steps as they can get tricky if you're not paying attention.

@chicagocut.steakhouse was a bit disappointing this year. I didn't post food bc it was 0 stars. Hubs steak wasn't as flavorful and fall of the bone as before. My prime rib was awful. The worst part about my experience is that our server, Tony, continued to force what he wanted upon our table. Example: our teen said he didn't any salad he still brought out salad for him and says "just try it". Not to mention leaving our table in the middle of explaining the menu several times...literally would cut himself off and say "wait a sec" serve someone and wouldn't come back. I asked for a drink menu twice. It was ridiculous. Then my prime rib was ridiculously bloody. Idgaf how you all cook it, you can't force someone who is paying well over $100 for a piece of meat to eat it only how you all cook it. Tony didn't make it so wtf?!? Then they're servers right next to us and they're busy yapping to each other I had to yell. To make up they gave us free fries?!? That wasn't the issue! There wasn't many blacks there besides Lori Lighfoot soo it gave microagression of what are you doing here from him and the staff. Last time ever dining. $600 could've been spent elsewhere for sure and will be .

Bone-in ribeye
Just Us Roaming ..

We had dinner at Chicago Cut Steakhouse, I ordered the bone-in ribeye cooked medium rare, and it came out perfectly--juicy, flavorful, and exactly what you'd want if you're a ribeye fan. If that's your go-to cut, this is definitely a spot worth checking out. Jen had the filet mignon, also cooked medium rare, and it was incredibly tender and delicious. For sides, we shared the creamy mashed potatoes and corn. Both were excellent, and the portions are generous enough to share, which worked out perfectly for us. We each ordered an espresso martini, which was a nice touch--shaken and poured tableside, and very well done. For dessert, we tried the molten lava chocolate cake with vanilla ice cream. The flavor was good, but the center wasn't quite "lava" as expected--it was more cakey than molten. Still enjoyable, just not exactly what we anticipated. Service-wise, there were plenty of staff around, but after being seated, it did take about 10 minutes before we were brought a drink menu, which stood out a bit.

excellent dinner and service we were sitting outside and things fell from the trees so be mindful of that

Land and sea (with shrimp)

I really enjoyed this place. It's ambient, though louder than I expected. Still works as a date night spot. The service was great, our waiter made recommendations and checked in frequently to make sure all was well. Everything was really good-- lobster Mac, broccolini, steak, shrimp... the Beef Wellington was wow! So flavorful! The dessert left us stuffed. Frankly, the chocolate cake is too much, hahaha, but, I had my crème brûlée so all was right with my world!

Good steak, drinks, and dessert in downtown Chicago. Went on a weekday for dinner - had a few glasses of wine, an awesome steak - cooked perfectly, along with a baked Alaska situation. Would def come back again!

Peanut butter pie

First off the location is perfect. Right on the river. Great views and lots of seating. The service was on point. Very friendly and knowledgeable waitstaff. The food on the other hand wasn't my all time favorite. I started with the burrata and heirloom. The burrata was melted when served with no flavor. I also got the bone in filet. It was good not great. It was a large amount of bone. There were like 4 slices of filet that were good. The truffle scalloped potatoes came out over cooked. My opinion I think the pancetta was a bit much when mixed with truffle. The broccolini was pretty good. The dessert and cocktails were my favorites. The mint chocolate chip ice cream pie and the peanut butter pie were absolutely amazing.

Presidente de Oro
Michael F.

Everything about this experience was awesome. Great view of the river for lunch. The Presidente de Oro was absolutely perfect. The burger prepared just as I liked. The garlic truffle fries were delicious, albeit a little mushy. Could have used a little more crisp to the fries, but they tasted great. The bignets were also delicious and the jam served with them was absolutely devine. Great service, attentive and friendly.

Celebrating my birthday this year I had to find a steakhouse I haven't been to. The service was awesome our waiter was attentive and helpful as well as very knowledgeable with recommendations. The restaurant was nice and not overly loud as some places can get. The food was good but nothing really stood out as exceptional. I might come back during the summer to sit by the river but not sure yet if I will add this to my rotation if steakhouses.

Octopus Salad (unbelievable)

Ummm yeah it's delicious. Amazing service. Nice outdoor seating area on the river during the summer. You can't really go wrong!

What an awesome place with great views of the city and river. My favorite steakhouse in Chicago by far! The service is top notch and the food melts in your mouth. The food was so good it was gone before I could take photos. We shared a Cesar salad and French onion soup then had a Filet and Lobster tail. If you're in a group, I would recommend sharing the sides. We were celebrating our anniversary and they were kind and brought out a crazy chocolate cake. Way too big for 2 people, but it was delicious.

Nice steakhouse by the river. We sat outside and the weather was perfect. I got the sea bass which was cooked well and all the drinks and service was great too

They also had a wonderful person working in the men's bathroom and he was a gem. Our daughter spilled a bit on her shirt and one of the servers had a Tide pen. The negative: for a restaurant where you going to spend over $100 a person, we had to ask twice for water refills, in fact one time we asked the manager and he had to track down our servers. The seating is just ok, it's pretty loud as your on top of each other really. The steak was above average but not great. They seems to char the outside see pictures and it was fairly bland, got the filet. Salad was drowned with dressing and had virtually nothing other than 2 average cheap grape tomatoes. The sides were just ok. I wanted to be blown away as Chicago is "known" for their steaks, the waiter even said they had their own rating. Meh... After eating twice in Vegas this month and getting wagyu I guess I'm spoiled. Go once to get the experience.

She absolutely fell in love with the place and said she was having a great birthday. She wasn't planting seeds, I swear, but our server, ever the professional, said he'd take care of us. And he did, punctuating our dinner with a wonderful dessert with a birthday candle. Speaking of candles, the focaccia appetizer came out with a lit candle that melts a tasty, buttery dipping sauce. I had work done at the dentist earlier, so I had a hard time eating. Every bite was painful, but I heated up our leftovers and fell in love with my rigatoni with vodka sauce all over again. Yum. The good: Salad was amazing with bits of nicely cooked pork belly mixed in and the salad dressing is to die for Focaccia bread was very good but nothing special but the bone tarrow butter was fantastic and carried this bread. Brussel sprouts were flavorful but greasy and overcooked... Beef cheek ragu noodle dish was heavy yet tasty.. Rib eye steak done medium rare was fatty and very very chewy so this was a complete fail, but seasoned very well...extra 10 bucks for some dipping sauce for the steak but worth getting to elevate the steak...Definitely don't do any steak under medium here... Lemon sorbet was the true winner of the night...Delicious without being too tart..... Overall like I said, not worth the $250 price tag before tip...._

We had the flat iron steak, the chicken, and the salmon and each entree was wonderful. The proteins were all very tender and juicy. I was also very pleased with the salad that came first which was lightly dressed and very seasonal. We finished our dining experience with a slice of cheesecake. Perilla is a tastefully decorated restaurant, both loungey and rich, but still makes you feel like the joint is all for you. You know, 5 star service is such a lost art, it makes you forget how much you miss it when all of a sudden it happens to be right in front of you. Ricardo, our bartender, what a gem. Forget about the perfectly made drinks that were served to us. Ricardo made us feel right at home with his kind disposition and friendly demeanor. But it doesn't just stop at Ricardo. Everyone was absolutely fantastic. We could have been served 7-11 sushi at this point and I still would have left 5 stars. Food time. The kimchi pork dumplings were an absolute flavor bomb and that parmesan broth gave the dumplings a little extra kick that took it to the next level. Plus, I love when the dumpling wrapper has a little chew to it and isn't this soft mush that dissolves in your mouth. The beef fat frites were a nice treat as well. They were not extra or over the top in anyway. But you can tell when something is done well and correctly, just like these fries were. The Premium Steakhouse Set, in my opinion, is all two people need to enjoy this very special experience. All the accompanying condiments were exceptional on their own and could have functioned as their own course. The Japchae glass noodles were a stunner. The real sleeper was the chopped lettuce greens tossed in their chili vinaigrette. Could have eaten 20 bowls of those lettuce greens. Sadly, I forgot the name of our server who cooked and cut our meat for us. She really added to the experience. She expertly prepared our food while maintaining a fun and pleasant conversation with us. The meat itself, my goodness, tender, smoky, quality-forward, and perfect served with the condiments.
