I lived in the valley from 1999 to 2004 and now get back to Phoenix every few years, wife had not been back n 10 years. First stop of the plane is to head here and order a 'Beef' and Chicago Dog. Hands Down the best outside of Chicago. Have seen some people complain about the prices but hey, its a small business and it costs money to get the original supplies and such. Great place. The sports decor on the wall really sets a fun atmosphere. I had the firedog with the amazing neon green relish and it was awesome. Also tried the special of the day which was sloppy joes, which were the best I've ever tasted. They were completely unique and tasty. The service was precise and quick. Don't go for the sliders! Drove 25 miles to try the sliders and was terribly disappointed. First off, way too much bread, it was giant buns compared to the real deal. No flavor at all because of the bread, it was not moist with onion flavor like a real slider. Ok maybe the dogs and meat sandwiches are ok, I don't know. Everyone here is friendly the place is clean and adorned with cool decor favoring the cubs and local sports teams and accomplishments. Where has this place been all my life? Best burger on this side of town. I'd recommend the full-size burgers over the sliders, which, while still delicious, somewhat pale in comparison. Generous portions for a very reasonable price. When I worked close by, I'd try to eat here once a week for a daily special that I liked. read more

It was, ok. I'm not sure why they bothered putting a spoon in the milkshake, it was far too runny to use a spoon for. Besides being too runny, the milkshake tasted great and you could tell they used real peanut butter in it. The fries were thick cut and not very greasy but lacked any real seasoning and that is with the additional cajun seasoning I added. The polish had a great bun and the dog itself was pretty decent. The relish looked so radioactively green that I'm not entirely sure what it was made of. The two small bits of tomato looked great, but again lacked much flavor. Overall I would return if I was in a bind for some place to grab a semi quick bite of food as my $11 didn't leave me hungry. read more

Sad sad example of sliders. These can best be equated to frozen white castle that you microwave yourself from the grocery store, as these are microwaved as well. Definitely not fresh beef grilled in minced onions fresh off the grill like a slider should be. If you lived in Michigan and were lucky enough to ever had Bates or Brays ... this is not even close. I wish AZ had a place like Bates. I can't find one. And White Castle burgers are not real sliders; I don't know why anyone would want to replicate that. read more

This was my first visit and I liked it. The place was packed at 11am. I told the guy who was taking my order that it was my first time there, so he explained the difference between the burger and slider. The interior was busy looking, a bit too much, and it looks like it hasn't been touched in 30 years. One pet peeve was on their whiteboard, it said "sloppy joe's". I really get turned off when bad grammar or spelling are used on a menu. I had a big urge to erase the apostrophe on that whiteboard ;) The staff were friendly and my burger was done within 10 minutes. The burger was good. I stumbled across this place in 2010 and have been coming back off and on since then. My favorite Chicago Hot Dog joint is on the other side of town and my allegiance will never change BUT Chicago Hamburger Co always hits the spot and the prices are reasonable, staff are easy going and the place is clean. The owner is old school and I like that. There is a sign at the counter that says no cellphones but that is for a reason. Have you ever stood in line behind someone chatting away and trying to order their food? It's annoying and slows the process down for everyone especially during the lunch rush when it's super busy and besides it's RUDE. My favorite meal is the polish sausage (Deep Fried) with ketchup, onion and cheese with a side of fries. I literally have not tried anything else on the menu but I am tempted but that polish sausage though! I read the review where someone mentioned that the owner scolded someone about using their phone at their table. I mean I wasn't there but it is highly unlikely that that incident occurred as written. The owner only cares about NO PHONES at the counter while ordering because he wants to get everybody's order out as fast as possible and besides no one believe it or not wants to be a part of your phone conversation. Little bitty slider burgers for the masses. With cheese or without? Maybe a double? Buy 'em by the sack. The wings are plump and juicy with enough HOT to make you worry about tomorrow. Real ice cream shakes, and a special or two every day. There's also enough Cubs memorabilia to make you feel like you were dangling your toes in the mighty Mississip.
