One of the owners, Erez, took the time to visit our home in the northwest suburbs and reviewed all our moving needs. Within minutes of his walk through and evaluation, we received an email with a "not to exceed" estimate and contract that included a listing of our belongings to be donated, disposed, packed, moved and stored until our home is sold. After signing our contract, we received a phone call from their office staff scheduling and confirming dates. On the days of (1) disposal/donate and (2) pack/store we received phone calls from the staff confirming when the crew was on its way. The crew arrived early and on time in a well marked and beautifully maintained CMS truck and in uniform dress. Benny and his crew had the estimated inventory list, but still they took the time to walk through each room and marked what items were to be donated, disposed, packed and stored. The four man crew worked collaboratively, carefully, professionally, and respectfully. When finished, Benny went over all the CMS digital documents to sign including: CMS Damage Report, CMS Inventory List including item numbers and photographs, CMS INVOICE, and CMS VISA AUTHORIZATION. The company accepted credit card payments without charging additional fees. Once the loaded truck had arrived at the company's storage facility and was unpacked, we received another call from the office confirming that all our items were stored safely in their facility, reported the final cost that was $50.00 lower than estimated, and requested final approval to place the credit card transaction. We have moved many times in our lives including recently getting our daughter in and out of multiple apartments during college and her first years living in the city, and we never looked forward to helping her coordinate and deal with "moving day," but working with CHICAGOLAND MOVING AND STORAGE was a positive, kind, and seamless experience, and we are forever grateful for their service to us and the Chicago community. I never thought I would get a yelp. But these great people are worth getting an account to review them. I started with a professional and friendly quote by two gentlemen who went over my needs and provided me with options and a very reasonable quote for my move (self-packed barring furniture). It is worth another sentence to really push that the quote was very reasonable. After the quote, Ron scheduled a delivery of some complimentary boxes (wowza) to my old address, plenty of time in advance of my move to allow for proper time to pack. He was also incredibly patient while on phone calls with me (my cell service is terrible at my old address). The day-of, my three movers: Erick R, Vicente & Ruben were running a little late because 8 AM downtown Chicago can be brutal. They made sure to call me to let me know this was going to be the case. They did this BEFORE they were late, not after. A huge difference in my pretty strict book. Once they arrived their demeanor was excellent. Very polite and courteous. Ever the good listeners, I pointed out stuff that I was still working on, stuff they could take, stuff they should not, stuff that was fragile, stuff that was not, stuff that should be loaded last, stuff that ... (you get the picture). I laid out a difficult situation stemming from a poor packing job on my part (mea culpa, sorry guys). They kept all my silly little caveats in mind, asked (not guessed) when there was some doubt and nothing went awry. The move itself was uneventful (nice). I have droned on for ages so ill be briefer in the last few things: New location unpacking was as easy and thoughtful as packing. Everything went where I wanted. Furniture assembled how I wanted. No hitches. The three men always maintained a great attitude (how do they do it!) even while dealing with maintenance in the hallway blocking their path. The very reasonable quote, 5 hours + driving time (20 mins) for my move, was BEAT by my movers. Absolutely crushed. 4 hours total. thats over 20% of pure hustle and speed just to save me a little money and get to their next job. Truly a herculean feat accomplished heroically. Very recommended. Everyone is incredibly helpful and amazingly efficient, friendly, and the pure definition of professional. Short answer - definitely hire them They are worth every cent and would definitely use them for every future move. Long answer - Quote process Rachel is incredible she was like a wizard being able to quickly and accurately assess through a video call in the span of 15 minutes a 1200 sqft home what would be needed and how to generate an exhaustive list of things that needed to move. Communication is excellent and responsive and detailed and simply easy. Packing / loading We needed four people because of a piano. Jordan, Jon, Ramon, and Geoff are an incredible team. They methodically mapped out a logical sequence to pack everything and were expert at disassembling and packing large heavy furniture and getting it past some awkward angles and stairs. Unloading Again with great pre-work in the loading phase the unloading went smooth. I was less prepared than them and the advice I would give to movers is to have a rock-solid labeling system for where things are headed ahead of time. The team are friendly and communicative but unlike some of the reviews I read for other companies they didn't need any micro managing they have a great sense of where things logically make sense (like mattress orientation which I didn't think of) Pricing They also are more than fair in their pricing and open and honest in communication letting me know if we would need a box or packing wrap. Super respectful of property they offered to wear shoe booties when offered but for sake of speed we decided was more efficient to use runners. Jordan also pointed out a paint mark on the wall and let me know that it can be painted over. Super helpful that he was looking out for any marks and dings like that. It's refreshing to not have to worry about inspecting everything after since I knew the four of them were behind careful with everything. read more

Where do I even begin in thanking Chicagoland Moving and Storage! We hired them for our move from Chicago to California. From beginning to end, they were focused on transparency, quality, and communication, and Jordon (our agent) was always just a phone call away. A few things that I want to highlight: 1. They are an honest company. They send you a binding quote after coming in person to evaluate your home and they stay true to this price without any extra fees. I did not pay a dollar more than I was quoted. 2. The movers themselves are excellent. They pack and wrap everything super well. Everything came in perfect condition, including our car, without any scratches or broken items! 3. They will work with you and try to find a solution based on your needs. I really hope to receive my items in a certain timeframe, and Chicagoland Moving really did their very best to accommodate what we needed. My items arrived on the perfect day, and I was always updated on where the items were in transit by our amazing foreman Alex. 4. Their pricing is very reasonable for their services. Compared to other quotes, we got from national companies, Chicagoland Moving was more reasonable, especially for the services they provide. I could not tell you how valuable it was to me to know that I could reach Jordon or the Chicagoland moving team directly to ask any questions about our move. That's not something you can get with national moving companies. 10/10 experience. The actual move was the least stressful part of our relocation to California and that is 100% percent because of how amazing Chicagoland Moving and Storage is. This was an excellent moving company. They were punctual and incredibly professional. They arrived in masks and kept them on the whole time around me. They were very personable, affable, and organized. They made sure to first get a "layout of the land" in my condo to see what to move and what not to move and review my invoice plan with me to make sure we were all on the same page before starting to avoid any "surprises". Any loose items were prepared by them in bubble wrap or their own boxes (which is an option to include in the fees). My large furniture items (desk, shelf, glass table) were all nicely wrapped in bubble wrap and carefully lifted up and out of the apartment. Most impressively I live on the third floor of a condo with no elevator and I had several large items (greater than 100 lbs), and these guys were able to effortlessly lift them and bring them downstairs. Never once did they ask me to help with anything which allowed me to comfortably finish up my own work on the side. When we arrived to the storage unit they also unloaded everything and very thoughtfully placed it in a "Tetris-like fashion". They made sure to also accommodate my preferences on how I wanted certain items stacked to make it easily accessible for me to access later on my own. All my furniture arrived intact in the original condition. Nothing was damaged. There was no damage to my home floor and walls. They were very thoughtful and careful with the moving process. The pricing is also very reasonable which I greatly appreciate it as I am still a student with loans. My experience with Chicagoland Moving and Storage was incredible. I was actually moving out of the state for a job, and was already stressed out. I scheduled an in-home quote, drove back to Chicago to meet with a few movers. Chicagoland was the first mover I met with; Erez and his coworker looked over my stuff and gave me a quote right there. He also asked if I was meeting with any other movers that day, and told me specifically to ask the other crews if their price was absolutely solid with no hidden fees. He really helped walk me through the process, because I think he sensed that I had never done this before. I was hesitant about certain items and kept saying that I could just move them in my car the day-of, but Erez was insistent that they move everything and for me not to worry at all. When I met with the second moving team, they were of course shady, like Erez warned me, and they told me multiple things would have to be moved myself because of how I packed them. Clearly the only choice I had was going with Chicagoland! They were extremely courteous and on time. They got a 9' sofa out from the 3rd floor of my apartment building that was built in the 1920's. They wrapped everything beautifully, and were basically done with everything and ready to drive out of state within an hour or two. I met them at the second location, which is about a 3 hour drive, and they quickly put everything into storage. I didn't even have to stay, because they told me they'd lock up for me. They're well worth the cost, especially being so forward with their services and no hidden fees. They'll help you in every way work out your move. They also moved me on a weekend! Highly recommend these folks. They just helped move us from Chicago (Lakeview) to downtown Saint Louis, and there's really no area where they didn't exceed my expectations: professionalism, punctuality, communication, and organization were all top notch. We were scrambling to find a mover after getting burned by American Van Lines (avoid at all costs) and stranded in a completely packed apartment with time on our lease running out. I had honestly lost faith in the moving industry as a whole after that experience. Long story short, Chicagoland Moving & Storage changed that. They were able to quickly assess our situation, offer a fantastic quote, and then handled each stage of the process with care and efficiency. They walked me through everything at each step, wrapped all of our non-boxed items, and sent us a report of numbered/scanned/photograph of every packed item so that we could compare it before and after the move; each item had a sticker on it with a barcode that corresponded to this report. We have a special box numbering system that indicated which room in the 3-story destination house each item should go, and the movers paid careful attention to this system and made sure everything ended up how we wanted it. They made sure to call at multiple critical points and ensure we were both on the same page with regards to timing and expectations, and they gave us options with regard to drop-off timing (no "window" garbage like other companies -- Chicagoland gave us clear timelines that they nailed). I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this company to my closest friends and family. Faith in the moving industry has been restored. From the initial call for an estimate, the onsite visit for the estimate, and through the final move back to our house, Chicagoland Moving and Storage did an extraordinary job. Due to the unplanned complexity of our remodel, we had to use them twice to move us out of our house. The first move was to get us set up in our temporary housing, which was done quickly and efficiently. They were very familiar with our temp housing location, so they knew they had a limited amount of time to get us in. The second move was to get the remaining items out of the house due to construction issues. All the furniture was carefully blanketed and wrapped. Both teams were great. Chicagoland then stored all that furniture and belongings. While I was anxious about the move back to the newly remodeled house, the team took care of every concern I had - from covering the driveway and sidewalk to the house due to remnants of construction outside, to covering every bit of floor, wall, etc, inside that would be touched. Every piece of stored furniture was lovingly taken care of. The move back crew of Juan, Javier, Juan, Daniel and Terry were very hard working, respectful, courteous, and truly cared about the job they were doing. We did not make it easy for them - we had a lot of belongings to move back from storage and our temporary housing. They started the day with smiles on their faces, and still had smiles on their faces after a very long and difficult day. Our neighbor had recommended them to us, and I will highly recommend them going forward. In fact, they are doing a move for my brother next week! Thank you for alleviating the stress a move can have. This is a long overdue review, as Chicagoland Moving moved my family almost eight months ago. But I was reminded to write this review because I am about to hire them again. What I loved about their service: I had to hire them on short notice, because we found out that we needed to move out of our house for a construction project that was starting sooner than we had anticipated. The owners, Ron and Ben, came to my house right away and spent a lot of time looking at what we needed to move and giving me advice about what we could do with the stuff we didn't need to move. After I booked them, Ron dropped off a bunch of packing supplies (boxes, wrapping paper, tape) for free, which was a huge help and saved me the cost of having to buy them. Kristin, who handles booking and scheduling, was responsive and prompt in answering my questions. When we had to push back the move by a few days, she was helpful in accommodating our schedule. The move itself went smoothly, and I loved the moving crew. They were courteous and responsible. They worked hard and efficiently. All of our items arrived in perfect shape, even a large piano that the crew moved up a long steep flight of stairs (and made it look easy, which it most certainly wasn't). And they finished in less time than they budgeted, which made our final cost a few hundred dollars less than the estimate. All in all, Chicagoland Moving made a stressful experience a lot less stressful - which is why I plan to hire them again to move us back into our house, now that the construction project is finished. Summary/Highlights: * Comprehensive approach to the move, professional and mindful of the importance of people's space and personal belongings, flexible and nimble as things changed (more to move), helpful (I ran out of time and forget to pack a desk....they packed each of 3 drawers to a box for me and labeled as such), etc! Additional detail: *In the initial meeting, Chicagoland Moving & Storage learned that in addition to moving items to my new apartment, I needed to get items to Denver and planned to donate a lot of furniture. They created a plan for me and handled every aspect of the move/delivery seamlessly - something I did not know could be done!! Lifesaver! *Alex and his team were truly outstanding! Patient, kind, professional, respectful and made me laugh if I appeared too stressed! *We had 2 great days together! On Delivery Day, they recognized that I looked overwhelmed by the number of boxes, etc. at the apartment. Alex asked if I wanted to keep the crew on (not part of the initial plan) for unpacking. I brought in lunch and they "stuck with me" until all artwork was unwrapped and the majority of the boxes unpacked! They removed all boxes/packing materials and we called it a day! 6 of the most amazing people I have ever worked with and I have been in the service industry for 40 years. Highly Recommend! This company was fantastic from start to finish. I just moved from Chicago to Fort Lauderdale.. I was pretty stressed about the big move and how I was going to transport my things. Got some quotes from some other companies and then found Chicagoland Moving & Storage. Couldn't be happier. My sales rep Brendan Ek was professional and responsive. He gathered all the info and gave me a great quote. I'd refer him to anyone. Best in the business!! My movers were Ricky and Rocky. They were unbelievable. So clean, organized, professional, courteous, attentive.. the list goes on. I mean these dudes were highly trained beasts. They personally packed me up in Chicago, drove down to south Florida and unpacked me into my new place. The did all the moving and setting up furniture. Some companies will deliver your stuff and let you figure it out. Not these guys. They do 100% of the work. And they won't leave until they know you're completely happy with everything. They even go above and beyond for you. They put pads under our furniture to protect our floors. They take pics of everything and their attention to detail is unmatched. My mom lived in our family home in Chicago from days before our parents' wedding -- 54 years. She had never had a substantial move and asked me to coordinate it from New Jersey, where I now reside. I found Chicagoland online and read reviews and from my first conversation with Rachel (who is incredibly sweet and professional) I just had a feeling this would go well. I couldn't have anticipated how well. Moving typically sucks, but my mom had a hassle-free move that went so smoothly she now thinks moving is easy!!! Maybe it is and I never had movers like the ones at this company. In addition to getting my mom moved into her new place they set up delivery of some of her items to me in New Jersey that she decided to send to me. The crew members that came to Jersey were kind, efficient and a pleasure! They stacked the items even more neatly in my garage than I required. This review may seem fake, but I swear it's not. I'm so grateful that this company made what could have been difficult and complicated, easy and smooth. It was so important to me that my mom not be stressed given that she's a senior and I could not be there on moving day. Oh and did I mention my mom's move came in a little under the original quote? My husband and I were moving from northern Illinois to Missouri after 26 years. We started checking for movers on Yelp and the reviews for Chicagoland were so impressive, we thought we would call them for our moving needs. We are so glad we did! Ron and Ben came to our home to give us a price on our move, which included storing our things for 5 days until our closing, and the price at the end was what was quoted at the first meeting. No surprises. Kristin, the office coordinator, happened to drive past our house on her way home and offered to dropped off the boxes we needed to finishes our packing. Who does that?! They came on time the day of the move, actually 15 minutes early, to get us packed up. Domingo, Adan, Ernesto, and Efraim were all very professional and worked non stop, except for lunch, to get the job done. The truck was packed like a giant jig saw puzzle-but everything fit. Five days later, Pepe and Arturo were at our new home in Missouri unpacking our belongings, taking a break only once for lunch. All of our things arrived in great condition since the packing on the front end was so professional. We would highly recommend this moving company to anyone moving near or far. I'm not sure where to begin this review other than this was the BEST move I've ever been through...and I've moved a lot. It was Vicki, her personality and knowledge, which sealed the deal for me. Although CM&S had very decent pricing, there were less expensive movers, but the moment Vicki and I spoke, I knew I was booking them. Eric, Lalo & (I didn't get the 3rd guy's name) arrived early! Yes, you heard me, EARLY! Eric & I reviewed rooms and, BAM, these guys were hustling. The work ethic of these 3 was top notch. They wrapped furniture, handled everything as if it was their own, and NOT ONE THING was knicked, scratched or broken. Every box was put in the right room so no dragging boxes all through the house; they made a great team, always communicating with each other. We moved from the city to the NW burbs and it only took 5 hours total; much less than I anticipated. I can't say enough positive things about this company but I will end with this one thought...if you're looking to hire movers- - people who really move- -(instead of guys who take their time, drag their feet, quote you erroneous fees and drop your belongings) don't hesitate to call Chicagoland Moving & Storage...they exceeded my expectations as I'm sure they will yours!! read more

The whole experience from start to finish was excellent and well exceeded any expectations. From the initial contact of estimate, being offered packing material like boxes and rolls of tape, the physical move itself, to clean up. On moving day, the three person move team of Chino, Jose, and Selene called with an estimated time of arrival and showed up on time. They were very careful maneuvering the moving truck through a tight parking lot at the rear of my building and were respectful of the property and to my neighbors. They meticulously wrapped and treated my furniture with great care and caution. It wasn't easy moving out of a 12th floor condo in a vintage building with a small freight elevator but they were efficient, careful, and professional. At my new home they were careful to protect the wood floors and the details of adding new foot padding to my furniture, placing items in the exact locations where I wanted, even reassembling furniture that was dismantled for the move made the overall move a custom experience. Hiring a moving company was a necessity but hiring an experienced moving company that's right for me was a great investment. I would recommend their services and call them again. read more

I just used Chicagoland Moving & Storage for a local move and was happy with the process, pricing and the outcome! [Do not confuse them with "All Chicagoland Moving" (out of Elmhurst) which has a much lower satisfaction rating. I almost did not choose this company based on the Yelp reviews for the other one with an almost identical name.] One of the founders Erez showed up to give me an estimate very quickly after I contacted him. He gave me a preliminary pricing estimate on the spot, and he quickly followed up with a more detailed one. It was a 'fixed price' project, priced somewhat competitively. They were not the most economical option (another company was slightly cheaper) but I'm happy I went with them anyway. They provided 20 boxes free of charge, and Erez personally delivered them a couple of weeks before the move. They also provide free wardrobe boxes - as do other companies - for the day of the move. The moving day was long but stress-free. The moving team worked quickly and efficiently. No damage to any of the items. The other co-founder Igal was there in the morning to ensure things go smoothly. I will use them again if I need to move and will recommend them to friends. read more

We recently used Chicagoland Moving for our move from dowtown Chicago to the suburbs. We had a one bedroom apartment, on the 37th floor of a high rise, but a LOT of furniture for one bedroom. The company was very professional throughout the whole process. There we three movers that helped us. We received a call with an ETA 30 mintues before the time they were supposed to be there and the movers actually arrived early. They communicated everything properly with us and we were always in the loop. When they came in they literally packaged and wrapped everything carefully, from the sofa to the dinning chairs. They even took apart our bed frame! I have never felt so usless before. They took care of everything. At the new location they brought in everything carefully, asking and communicating with us where each box and furniture should go to. They put the bed frame back together. Throughout the whole process nothing was damaged and it was flawless. Chicagoland Moving provided us with great service for something that is a very tedious and frustrating process.
