Pizza is good, and I've ordered a number of times. I recently got the wrong pizza delivered to me and the gave me a credit. Then I re-ordered to use my credit and they still charged me to have it delivered. So I still had to pay for their error in the first place. Not exactly customer friendly. read more

Their new online ordering system is TERRIBLE. I have ordered from them many, many times in the past couple of years, all across the menu, and now I have given up. It's confusing, unintuitive, and unpredictable. It's too bad because I generally like the food (they make surprisingly good hamburgers) but it's not worth wading through their useless system. The last time I called there, the service was bad. The guy who took my order was rude. Then, when the pizza showed up, the driver just shoved my order in my hand and then asked to see my credit card. My hands were full and I said that he should have mentioned needing my card before handing me everything. He started to say it was my fault and he kept going on and I cut him off. I said that he and I did not need to have the conversation. And as I went to shut the door, the driver said, "F---- you!" Nice service. Ordered through GrubHub last night and today my wife reminded me that there were several things we paid for but were not delivered - 2 liter Coke, Vesuvio Potatoes, Second Salad. She wanted me to write a review because we had such a bad experience from the same store a couple of years ago. Thought we'd give it another try. After using their website to order five pizzas for a party, we found that two of the five were not even CLOSE to the pizzas we had ordered. This would have been alright, if they had been nice about fixing our order. One of my family members is highly allergic to dairy, so we ordered a pizza clearly marked as "no cheese." However, this pizza was covered in cheese. Not only that, but it was missing ALL the toppings we had listed and paid for. Unacceptable. The worst part was that we called, and they were COMPLETELY unwilling to fix their mistake. They were rude, and unprofessional and actually asked us to PAY for two new pizzas (both somehow sent to us as plain cheese with no toppings) to replace the ones they sent incorrectly. My family member could not eat the pizzas with cheese on them. So it wasn't just inconvenient in terms of taste; she was unable to eat any of the pizza and could not have dinner with us. We will NEVER be ordering from this place, especially after reading the other reviews of their horrible online ordering system and awful customer service. read more

The pizza is pretty good, but I am writing about the service. Stopped by for a couple slices last night and sat in the dining room. Ordered, and the waitress said a fresh pizza just came out of the oven. Waited 5 to 10 minutes. Slices came, were lukewarm. Waitress came by asked how the slices were, I told her. I was drinking cup after cup of water to try to get the salty taste out of my mouth. If you like the taste and the firmness of cardboard then this is the place for you. This is the second worst pizza I ever had right behind the worst --- Pete's Pizza in Chicago at 1100 West Granville Street. I would not even let my dog eat this food. I would recommend their thin crust pizza for cattle ranchers to use as a salt lick for their cattle. Stay away from this place and go to any of the Lou Malnatis Pizzeria locations. read more

We ordered delivery from here on a Sunday a little after 4 o'clock. The food arrived cold. Their soda options on their menu do not match what they actually carry. The bbq chicken wrap was just OK. The order was missing a sandwich. After calling it in, we didn't hear back from them for about 15 minutes. At that point I said I preferred just to get refunded for the missing sandwich and was told they couldn't do that since the driver was already on his way back with the sandwich. 20 minutes later it arrives (just shy of 6:00pm). I was impressed with the deep dish "stuffed" pizza. The sauce, cheese, and other ingredients were spot on. I was pleased with the caesar salad. The staff was friendly and our server was polite and organized. My only complaint is that it sometimes takes a while to get more drinks, but it's usually very busy when we go so it's understandable. Their hours are excellent but I'm writing for this specific location for a specific reason... a month ago or so my partner and I ordered two avocado burgers online from this specific Chicago's. An hour and a half passed (we'd received our confirmation and all) and nothing- so we called and inquired. Apparently they never received the order and were quite rude about the whole situation. We asked to speak to a manager only to be told we were speaking to the manager and there is no way we ordered online because he never received it. When we called they said they were not able to give us the pizza we actually ordered unless we paid an extra 30 dollars. Plus the pizza wasn't' very good! I love pizza. Love. I reign from Missouri though, which is more well-known for ribs and BBQ sauce than pizza so my experience has been limited. Chicago's Pizza is really, really great. From the take-out plain, thin cheese by the slice, to the full menu you can have delivered, Chicago's is great. I'm not a huge fan of deep dish but their spinach is da bomb. I also love just their plain cheese or plain cheese with ham and onions. The best part about Chicago's? Online ordering for delivery. Not super attentive customer service but at my fingertips any time I want. They're also open late...like 5AM on weekends late, so give it a go if you have a hankering for traditional Chicago pizza. read more

Don't misinterpret this review because of my lack of reviews. Previous Yelper who came back just to comment on this awful experience, which tells you how awful this experience must have been. Poor customer experience. The manager and front desk staff were rude, manipulative and just poor in general. I wouldn't go here unless the food was free...check that, the other month they gave away free food and I still didn't go. Tonight I decided to give them a try and will never, ever make that mistake again. This is the opposite of customer service. Thoroughly blown away by my poor experience. This is the spot. I love everything about this place. I used to live right by here, so I would go here all the time. The pizza is the best Chicago has to offer, but what really puts this place over the top is the salads. There is a greek-ish salad here that has goat cheese instead of feta. Awesome! This is my favorite pizza place in Chicago, and there arer many. They seem to always put the perfect amount of ingredients for my liking. I like that they do not overload their deep dish with sauce. We went there today, with a huge group. Actually, two groups of more than 10 people each. They seated us all immediately, had NO problem with separate checks, (a pain, to be sure), and the service was FANTASTIC. We were served quickly, always with a smile, and they even kept the waters filled. Beautiful, CLEAN bathroom, and I even caught the busboy washing his hands between clearing a table and getting drink refills. My pasta was outstanding, and most of the others at the table had sandwiches, which someone described as "life changing." Really, a great experience! read more

I order from here way to much because they have online ordering (I have this weird thing about ordering food over the phone). Plus, after a certain number of orders you get a $10 coupon. And at Christmas time they gave me a chicago pizza cup with a bunch of candy and stuff in it. The pasta is not the greatest so I stick with the stuffed pizza which is always decent. This is a good place for quick, easy delivery---not a place to take an out of towner for the true chicago pizza experience. I also wish they would have a dinner salad portion instead of a huge salad that costs $6. read more

I had been ordering from this place for a few years. I don't know what happened, but quality has severely declined (over the last year or so). At first, I cut them some slack and didn't think too much about an order taking well over an hour. You forgive a soggy pizza because you love the place your order from...but, when it becomes the norm and you find yourself expecting it to be "not as bad" as its worst...that's when you know you have to switch. Every order was a minimum of 1 hour and 25 minutes during the week, off hours, it didn't matter. The last order was definitely the last straw: after 1 hour and 30 minutes without getting our order on a Sunday we got a call from them. It turns out they gave our order to someone else. They didn't come to us with another order, they just gave ours away to someone. So, they were willing to give us our order within a half hour (2 hours since we ordered). I was starving and upset, but accepted the deal and then we got the order about a half hour later. It was cold and soggy, not perhaps freshly made like I thought it would be. I'm not sure they didn't go back and ask for the wrong order back from someone which is not what they offered to do. They are just not good at what they do anymore and it's too bad. I guess we'll look to the dozen other pizza places near us from now on. read more

Huge menu and good food. Solid beers on tap. Nice staff and nice patio. I'll be back for another meal. The side caesar was large and far from standard. I tried Chicago's Pizza again, only I stayed far away from their deep dish pizza. This time I ordered the stuffed pizza and with only two ingredients. I must say, it was better than the deep-dish one I ordered a couple of months ago. The crust stayed on the pizza and it was flavorful. Not the best pizza I have had in the Chicago area, but it was tasty.I am glad they sent out complimentary hot pepper flakes, as that added to the taste of each slice. read more

I ordered a Burger plan with just mayonnaise and ketchup and an order of fries and coleslaw.... fries were frozen and cooked in the oven I was wanting greasy fries, the coleslaw was really really really old and I got sick immediately, and it ruined my whole dinner.. my spouse ordered a combo turkey sandwich toasted with mozzarella cheese chicken noodle soup, when he asked for chesse he didn't mean for them to give me the whole block of cheese. They didn't put any ketchup or silverware or napkins in with my order. And the delivery with extra extra slow when they're right down the road from me. When I opened my BAG everything lookS like it has been ripped open and someone has sent threw it.. The divery driver didn't say anything to me but told me my price and walked away I'm a driver and I know people such as myself likes respect and they will continue to come back and do business.
