A very nice employee took our order and a friendly employee packed it up for us. We sat at a clean table as we waited. If it wasn't greasy here before, it was after, due to all the fried food we ordered. Popcorn chicken was fresh and delicious. There was enough flavor and it tasted like chicken. They were fresh cut up thigh pieces with some fat still attached. It was not salty. Yay! None of the food we ordered was salty. My fingers swell when places use too much salt, so that's why I'm happy it was not over salted. The tofu was cut into big blocks and came with a dip. The vegetable egg rolls were cooked perfect and came with sweet & sour sauce. They have beer battered onion rings and fried French fries. I grabbed their basil popcorn chicken and damn look at that crispness. Not to mention they're also HUGE. It definitely satisfied my texture preference, however where it was lacking was the flavor. Open during Covid, I tried it for the first time via Doordash. I specifically picked it because my son wanted popcorn chicken and this popped up in my search. The flavor of the popcorn chicken was good, but it was a tad disappointing in that it wasn't bite sized pieces. This is the first time I had popcorn chicken in 4 small thigh pieces, so I had to scissor cut them for my son. On the other hand, the gpie box was great! I liked all the side veggies (wish there was more) and the rice with the meat. I'm so glad they do that because it really makes the rice tastier. I've passed by this location for months and finally caved and tried their Taiwanese fried chicken cutlet. You order through the entrance, they blocked it with a table so it's like just ordering from a kiosk! They follow covid protocol with even adding plexiglass at their register. It was a quick service and the chicken is juicy and crunchy! I just wish the spice wasn't just layered on top and was throughly mixed because it was too spicy on one side and naked on the ones underneath so just would have hoped for it to be evenly distributed! We were in the area for work and feeling nostalgic about $1 bentos in Taiwan, we decided to stop in for a quick dinner. The menu is quite large and with so many tasty combos, it's extremely difficult to choose. We ended up ordering the pork belly bento, the grilled pork chop bento, and a side of popcorn chicken, cuz why not... :P First off, the service was great and contrary to some other reviews, the place was not infested with flies/gnats. While most people were taking their food to go, we opted to eat in. The bento portion sizes are huge and at around $12-15, this is a decent value for by N. California standards. The pork belly was braised to perfection - juicy and flavorful, it was so tender it literally melted in your mouth. It reminded me so much of the bentos in Taiwan. The pork chop was alright - two huge pork chops - not the most tender, but had good flavor. The marinated eggs were also quite good! The popcorn chicken was only okay - the chicken was super juicy and tender and the batter super light and crispy, but it lacked seasoning. While the texture of TapEx chicken isn't nearly as good, I find their poor corn chicken more flavorful. I probably wouldn't make a special trip to eat here but if I'm ever in the area and have a craving for pork belly, I'll be coming here to enjoy a bento. read more

This was the first time we visited and we ordered a to-go orders! We got their Classic Milk Tea, Brown Sugar Milk with Boba, Fried Pork Chop Rice Plate and GPIE Rice Plate. The meat tasted really flavorful and I think the food would be much better if the meat was hot. The entrees came with a side of corn and edamame, cucumber & carrots with wood ear mushroom, rice with braised pork sauce. If you are wondering if you should order the pork chop or the chicken, they both tasted good, but the pork chop comes with a huge bone and the chicken steak was all meat! :P I think I will pick the chicken steak (gpie) next time! I didn't particularly enjoyed the tea. It's interesting that their classic milk tea had a whole layer of tea leaves in the bottom of the drink, but the tea flavor was not too strong. Ordered bentos from here via Doordash (they are called in Chick & Tea on there, or Chick & Tea x O2 Valley in other places) and was very impressed by the boxes we received. The bento boxes were very authentic Taiwanese style, each box comes with 2 side dishes that vary by day (we got broccoli and glass noodles), a lou-dan (braised soy sauce egg), rice with minced pork, and your entree of choice. We ordered 3 boxes - the regular Gpie (homonym for the Chinese phrase for chicken cutlet), the grilled Gpie, and braised pork chop. I was impressed by the quantity of meat in each of the boxes, which was awesome. In addition, the meat was juicy and super tasty, with the authentic Taiwanese flavor like you would get at the night markets. I liked both versions of the Gpie but probably prefer the regular Gpie (not grilled). Pork chop was also delicious! We also ordered a box of popcorn chicken, which was a hearty amount, crispy and tasty, great for a snack :) All in all, the meal was super filling, very tasty and brought back night market feels. Came here after being kicked out from 10 butchers next door. The menu options look super good and at that time we were also proper hungry. The service was fast and very accommodating. I was able to get a low-carb option with salad instead of rice, lemonade with no sugar. That's awesome. The meal was super tasty but unfortunately we had to enjoy it at home, the place closes sort of early. Would have loved to stay and watch some eastern show that was running on a TV. They do not mark that they complete your order, so it's confusing when to pickup. However, I just went to the front and asked for my order because it was during my pickup window . The ji pai (Taiwanese fried chicken steak) was pleasantly delicious; I wasn't sure how the extra grilling with authentic Taiwanese BBQ sauce would taste. It actually tastes amazing after you squeeze the super juicy slice of lime provided on it! This is a full meal with the addition of minced pork rice, two seasonal sides, and a braised egg. I ordered 50% sweetness for the black sugar fresh milk with boba, but it was still a bit too sweet! This can't compete with all the other boba stores out there, but it's a great choice for a combined meal here. B2 is very consistently the best Taiwanese fried chicken in the area. The chicken is the right amount of sweet and salty and always the perfect ratio of crunchy/juicy. The sides change every day, but they're all very familiar as I grew up eating the exact same stuff at home. The days when they make eggplant or the egg and tomatos are a tier above the rest. I've been coming here at least twice a month for the last two years to get a B2 because I know I'll leave very happy and very full each time. Other than that, service is good and the workers are polite and go out of their way to assist you. Food here is made quick and always comes out piping hot. My go-to's here are the Taiwanese sausage, fried squid, and the classic basil popcorn chicken. Everything is fried to perfection and never overcooked. I also like how the popcorn chicken they use is dark meat and has a little gristle in some parts for a good chew. This is such a staple at all boba place that it's hard to mess up. Well this place did! It taste straight up like water with a hint of jasmine. It was not even slightly sweet. Very disappointed. The popcorn chicken flavor is good and I like that they added basil but why are the piece so big!?! Some of the pieces are as big as a full chicken drum stick. Because the pieces are big, the batter is not that crispy. The fried jumbo squid was pretty sad. I know the word jumbo is in the name but the picture on their menu makes it looks just like normal fried squid with tentacle. These are huge!! It's as though they are lazy to cut of the squid. Easy ordering online and I love that you can schedule a pickup time way ahead of time even before they open. I loved the Fried Gpie rice plate - the chicken was fried a perfect golden brown while the chicken remained tender on the inside. Not overly salty either. The braised pork rice plate was just okay for me - didn't love the breading of the braised pork as it was gummy and easily fell off the pork. The pork was on the drier side as well. We also ordered the basil teriyaki chicken rice place which was just okay too. The chicken was on the saltier side because the teriyaki sauce it was cooked in and I would've liked more basil in it. The smaller chicken pieces were dry but the larger pieces were more tender. Between the two entrees, I would actually order the basil teriyaki chicken over the braised pork. I would also prefer if they could cut up the meats better. Our grilled pork was not cut into strips so it was hard to eat or share unless you brought it home and used a knife to cut it yourself. All the entrees came with a small side of Taiwanese napa cabbage + wood ear mushroom and the classic tomato+egg on the day that I ordered. Both were quite lovely to pair with the rice and meats as they were both flavorful but not crazy salty. Loved the two sides that day! For the appetizer - got the Fried Tempura which looked like fries at first! Until I bit into one and realized they did not mess up my order. Chewy tempura bites were fantastic - could use more white pepper so I added that myself at home. Overall pretty decent Taiwanese bentos and portions are fantastic. Similar to O2 Valley in Cupertino. Came here for dinner takeout during quarantine. Ordered on their website, and it quoted us 20 minutes. As an FYI, you get a confirmation email after placing your order, and they do not give you any notifications when the food is ready for pickup. Just trust the quoted wait time. They were done and ready for pickup within their quoted time. I ordered the F1 traditional GPie, "mildly spicy" but not really spicy (thank goodness since I have zero spice tolerance). This is a giant fried chicken cutlet, and you can order it whole or cut; I got it cut, and I am glad I did. Each piece was still quite large, but was completely juicy, and the breading was very light and flavorful. My friends and I agreed the breading was the most surprising aspect. There was a sweet and spicy dipping sauce on the side, which was a good complement to the chicken (and probably where the "mildly spicy" option was applied). I wasn't very hungry when we ordered, and was barely able to finish it. I also tried my friend's dish, which was the basil popcorn chicken. Though it was more manageable in bite sized pieces, I felt like the chicken wasn't quite as juicy, and the breading wasn't quite as good (not as light, if anything). I personally preferred the GPie instead. Another friend got one of the combo plates, and he wasn't able to finish everything. Overall, I feel that you get some good quality food, for very reasonable pricing. Finally! I nearby walkable Taiwanese pop chicken joint! I'm so glad we have this place here in the town. There is lots to like about this place. The cozy atmosphere with comfy bench seating, Taiwanese snacks/meals, teas, and of course their condiment table with all sorts of powders to sprinkle your meal with! This right here is a huge plus! I came for the first time today and ordered their pop chicken with a Taiwanese black tea w/ pearls. I didn't truly care for their tea; It could be better. Maybe I'll need to get a milk tea next time! The chicken was crispy, neatly fried, and was served in thick chunks with lots of meat to them. They weren't soggy or oily. I poured some garlic powder, plum powder, and chipotle red powder to give it some heat. I loved the Asian sauce served with the chicken. It had a nice garlic taste to it with sweet chili. My meal together was around $12 which seems a bit expensive but it makes sense for being in the area and one of the only Taiwanese snack joints in Sunnyvale. I won't complain about that. I just wish they gave a small bowl of white rice to go along with this chicken side as oppose to the whole bento meal. I am def coming back! read more

My expectation was a normal boba shop with your typical popcorn chicken, calamari, fries, etc. I ended up getting a popcorn chicken meal and honestly the most memorable part of my meal had to be the eggplant.
