After running through the airport to catch my connecting flight, I found out it was delayed (because why wouldn't I) Now that I had time to kill I was able to get myself some food, and thanks to a semi fast moving line, it was Chick-Fil-A's time to shine! The mine was moving pretty fast and I was able to order my deluxe chicken combo super quickly. When the food was done and I was left to go find a seat to try and enjoy my food, I realize first and foremost that this food was very hot and very fresh, two very good signs. The waffle fries were delicious and although I couldn't finish them, I enjoyed every single bite. The deluxe chicken sandwich was also super hot and fresh and was super tasty. The meat was super juicy and full of flavour and that's really all one can ask for with some Chick-Fil-A. Overall, this is some pretty darn good aIrport food and some good food in general. This is a busy spot at the end of the long Terminal A with like 6 gates at the end. I was here at around 8am on a Monday for a flight and there were probably 15 people in like and 15-20 people waiting for their orders. The staff are efficient and friendly. They are in a hurry tho so I had to wait and ask for utensils for my fruit cup they didn't include originally. Standard food taste. But happy to have something quick and yummy before my 4-hour flight to Phoenix. read more

My order was given to someone else. I waited for over 15 mins for a very simple order of 2 meals of nuggets. The person who took my order wrote my name wrong so I never heard it called. It was only after multiple attempts to get somebody to help me figure out where my order was that I was informed that somebody else took my order. No apologies given nothing at all. This is the first time I've ever eaten at this franchise and it was good but on the other hand I also don't understand the hype. I prefer Shaq's chicken restaurant over this even it's very similar. Food was good as always. Location is lackluster and doesn't appear to encompass the true Chick-Fil-A experience. I assume it is managed by a food service company rather than actual Chick-Fil-A folks. This location leaves more to be desired. Menu is limited(No strips, No ice cream, No grilled chicken biscuit, No burritos, No hash brown bowls). I come here during every layover at dtw. It's near gate 71 in the north terminal, close to the tram stop. Though there was a line, I was ordering in less than a minute. Usually it doesn't take long to get my food once I order but this took several minutes. Service is always very pleasant and polite, like most Chick-fil-As. There is a piano with a pianist or it goes into self playing mode that is near the waiting line. There is a tip jar nearby. This is definitely the best restaurant at the airport! read more

Their #2 deluxe doesn't come with pepper jack cheese like all the rest do. So I took it back, they happily redid it. It come out with a plain chicken sandwich with pepper jack. It brings me so much joy that this Chick-fil-A location exists. My husband and I realized that we were entering Chick-fil-A land during our connection in Detroit and quickly checked the map. There it was! It was definitely worth running to the opposite end of the airport to get our fix before our next flight. This restaurant had the longest line of the restaurants in this area of the airport, but the employees were doing a good job of getting orders taken and prepared as quickly as possible. Our food was just as delicious as I remembered previous Chick-fil-A meals. The Spicy Deluxe Sandwich is my favorite sandwich. It's always delicious. The Waffle Potato Fries were crispy and delicious as always too. I'll definitely be back to this location during any future Detroit Airport connections! read more

Arrived 60 minutes before closing (at 8 pm) and waited in line for 10 minutes to get food since we have a 5 hour flight. Staff told us that they were closing and wouldn't give us food. When another customer said that their hours said open until 9 pm, they said "well ya know, it's a holiday weekend". I worked for ChickFilA for years and the Saturday after Thanksgiving wasn't considered a holiday and hours do not change for that. 3.5/5 stars so I will round up to 4. I had about 2 hours to kill before my Vegas flight this past Saturday, and I was perusing DTW's map and saw this on it ... I had vaguely remembered hearing of a DTW Chick-fil-A, so I was stoked. I took the monorail over there, as my flight was actually at the other end of the terminal (the things I do for Chick-fil-A ...) and was excited to try this location out. I ordered my usual, the grilled chicken sandwich and also the waffle fries. I ordered it as a combo and one of the drink choices was actually bottled water, which was great. The reason this location doesn't get 5 stars from me is that the wait time to get my food was kind of long ... like 10-15 minutes. When I went to the one in Atlanta (at their airport) back in June on a layover, it was literally like FIVE minutes ... not even. I think I was finishing paying and then they handed me my food. And that location was much busier than this one was, at 10:45am on a Saturday. That being said, the food is always good at Chick-fil-A. I'm excited for the Troy location to open up this week too! Worst experience I've ever had a chick fil-a. The cashier didn't listen to our order at all. We then had to provide proof of receipt because they didn't listen and forgot two sets of fries.
