Terrible location 6 people behind the counter, only 2 on registers and 20 people waiting to order and 15 waiting on food. A disgrace to chick fil as everywhere. No friendly customer service and just plain crappy. Would have liked to eat here but I left the line after it didn't move for 5 minutes. Hello- this is an airport location and we don't have all freaking day for you to make a chicken sandwich. The menu is even restricted and reduced so they don't even have a full menu. How hard is it to make 6 items!?? Par for the course with every DET airport restaurant I have attempted to eat at. Save your appetite for the next airport. read more

Kind of disappointing given the outstanding service I get at every other CFA. I ordered at the kiosk that clearly states that food will be delivered to the kiosk location. After 30 minutes I went to the counter and inquired about my order and was notified that the kiosks don't work properly and my order was lost. After a small argument they filled my order but the experience was very 'non- CFA'. The corporate team should be concerned with these licensed locations that are not truly affiliated with CFA and don't follow CFA's normal customer centric philosophy. Their brand can be damaged by the yahoo's working at this location. read more

Do not know why this place get low rating as I read through some of the reviews and no one has said anything really back about it. Yes there is usually a long line depends on the time but they move pretty fast to get your order and get your food to you. The people there are friendly and nice. Never rude. Always has a smile on there faces. The food is ur pretty the same as every other store and sometimes you get a surprise like a couple of fries in your bag. So I am gonna give this the rating it deserves. read more

This is Michigan's second Chick-fil-A, and probably its best!! Located at the end of the McNamara Terminal, it's situated in a brand spankin' new food court with Zingerman's, Qdoba, Pinkberry, and a Gordon Biersch Restaurant & Brewery. You can order at the counter or from an iPad at a community table--a staff member will bring your food to you. This is similar to (but not as good as) the way the Minneapolis-St. Paul airport runs things. You can only get Chick-fil-A or Qdoba from the iPad. The food quality is the same as any other Chick-fil-A on the Best Coast! Don't forget to order Chick-fil-A sauce to go with your spicy chicken sammich and waffle fries! My only gripe is that you can't place any comments with your order...for a half-and-half sweet-unsweet tea, you'll have to order at the counter. This area is worth taking the Express Tram to the end of the terminal! read more

First I'd like to ask, "Who doesn't love this place?". Busy morning with 10 mins to board, excited to be flying out on the end of the terminal able to get some chicken on a biscuit. First, there was one cashier for about 8 of the minutes I stood in line... then things started to move smoothly with two cashiers. While making order of 'Chicken, Egg & Cheese', she asks me, " Bagel or biscuit?". I reply "biscuit!". Received my food within 3-4 additional minutes, not bad. Long story short, I wait to sit on the plane and relax, upon opening my wrap that has 'Chicken, Egg & Cheese' tucked outward to find out it's a bacon, egg and cheese biscuit with NO CHICK-FIL-A CHICKEN in site. A brief layover at Detroit airport and found this restaurant just outside my arriving gate. It was quite popular with a line waiting there. I've heard their chickens were good, so I tried the nuggets meal, which included 12 pc chicken nuggets, fried and drink. The nuggets were really juicy and tender, and the fries tasted good with ketchup. The drinks were not unlimited, which were kind of different from other chain stores. Decent price. read more

Ambiance Gotta love a Chick-fil-A in an airport! Just be prepared that there is usually a pretty big line. This is located near the Gate A71. Take the tram if one has time to get to the other side to order. Food Pretty much the same food as the regular restaurants. Same great taste. YOU CAN'T MAKE THIS SHIT UP!!!! I'm so disgusted with this I might vomit...I'm traveling back home from visiting my family in Detroit and was waiting for my flight when I saw there was a Chick fil A newr my gate...so I get something to eat which was average...but I go to get a refill on my tea, open my lid and see a DIRTY DOLLAR IN MY CUP!!!!! my first instinct was "oohh money" then I was like "wait no, I just drank out of that, god only knows where that dollar has been" I mean I'm in an airport for crying out loud.....so I go to the manager who was apologetic...unlike the girls behind the counter who were laughing and said things like how I should play the lottery and that it's my lucky day..like really?!?! How did you not see that in the cup when you poured my ice and drink?? It stuck out to me like a sore thumb once I took off my lid yet the girl didn't see it?!?! My flight was delayed a few hours, so I had time to go all the way to gate A71 from A10. My flights are always on the other side of the airport, so I was super excited for my Chic-fil-A fix. The long line move pretty quickly, the staff at work super friendly, and I got all my sauces for my Chic-fil-A Deluxe without cheese. Snuck a few fries on the express train, warm, but needed to hold back to I got back to my actual gate. 10 min later, plopped down at a good table, and unwrapped the goodness... sandwich was a heat lamp warm and barely crispy. And it was a weird salty. What was I thinking? No one orders a plain Chic-fil-A sandwich. Should have just ordered the Chic-fil-A Deluxe with cheese, I bet it would have been fresher! read more

Good food and service as usual. They don't seem to have chicken strips which is a bit unusual, but I guess this is a bit of an express location since it's located in an international airport. It may be shared but next to this Chic fil A is an unmanned piano. Seemed like the 3 attractive girl taking the orders were moving a pretty long line through quickly. read more

Food was so bad I sent the following note to Chic-fil-a: As a former resident of Maryland and Florida, I was thrilled CFA was coming to Detroit, even if only at the airport. Today was my first experience at this location. If it was my first Chick-Fil-A it would have been my last. Soggy, cold sandwich, no pickles and a coke instead of the Dr Pepper I ordered. I didn't have time to go back, so two small bites and a single sip in it all went in the trash. The only edible part was the fries. I'm certain this isnt how you want Detroit introduced to your brand. Their response was to reply that it essentially isn't Chic-fil-a's fault and send me a promotional card for a free sandwich that isn't valid at the locations in Michigan. Seems that they have the cows handling the customer service department along with the marketing! read more

This little chick-fil-a is your standard airport fast food chain. Something you're looking to get when you're in a rush or just need something quick to eat. It is conveniently located near the Delta gates (which is great for me, as I only fly Delta or JetBlue when flying domestically). Beware there are only about 7 items on this menu to choose from so don't expect too much, but I think that is good as it keeps the line moving. The food was standard to your average chick-fil-a and the customer service was good also. read more

Poorly managed, under staffed, totally incompetent team. Line was 120 people long and moved as slow as molasses. Only two people taking orders. Orders that require absolutely NO prep besides throwing a pre-made box of nuggets into a paper bag took them 10 minutes to complete. No good system for announcing orders ready to pick up. A complete joke. read more

Tough call. The menu here is a bit more limited than a typical Chick Fil A. They serve everyone from one register, which creates quite a wait. While the line did move, there were 30 people in front of me during my visit. The biscuit itself was slightly undercooked (probably couldn't keep up with demand), yet the potatoes were hot and all-in-all, still the overall chick fil a that I know. read more

Not a real ChickFilA but some sort of franchise Stale and ice cold bun. Cheese not melted. Dirty tables (all of them). So bad that we threw it all out. Fries were Ok. This chain has a great reputation so we expected more. Most restaurants are terrible at this airport so maybe ChickFilA should close this operation before it further hurts their reputation. The line was ~12 people long, however the staff processed through all of them in a matter of 5mins (if that). Overall the service was good. The cashier wasn't too friendly, but not overly rude either. Food was good, what I would expect at a drive-thru location. read more

Between planes and wanted something I thought would be better than the others. I was wrong! Fries were cold. Sandwich just smacked together, #1 meal. Cashiers didn't care and in no big hurry. I had Dasia (which was only one smiling and up to Chick-fil-a standards. The rest not something to be proud of. My advice go somewhere else in Concourse A in Detroit!! read more

No need to say anything about the food. Just great. Our flight was at gate 36, so had to catch the "train". The line was about 20 customers deep but we had a bit of time anyway. SERVICE was crazy fast! Every few seconds they shouted out a customer's name for pick-up. Bought and extra sandwich for the flight to Narita. Should've gotten more. The paper/foil packaging makes it easy to transport. Just remember to let the steam/moisture out before storing away so the bun doesn't get soggy. read more

I was excited to see a chick FilA so I could catch breakfast before my flight but.... it's now 6:15am ( they open at 6) but they are all still setting everything up and not even taking anyone's orders. The line keeps building and the employees are talking and laughing with each other and not engaging with the 20 customers in line. I finally stepped out of line and asked if they intend to take orders and Angel's reply was they were waiting on cooks. 6:20 am.....they are finally taking orders. COMPLETE FAIL!! read more

The food was edible. When it came to the fries there was some inconsistency like the top was bland but the bottom had salt. The chicken was good. I've never been to a chick fil a before customer interaction/service and was okay but not what I was expecting from all the hype. Nobody was smiling but they did say my pleasure :) read more

Who doesn't love some Chick Fil-a... this is a good food option when going through the airport when in a hurry. My two complains would be: it is located near A72 (at the complete end of the terminal); and they are not open on Sundays. Other than that, this is the same as others. read more

Small but pretty fast! Just before boarding a flight, I grabbed a sandwich. From entering the line to sandwich in my hand was about 4 minutes. Not bad considering all the people in line. While waiting, you can enjoy the piano man playing right beside you. I'm not really into that, but it was nice. Cashier wasn't the friendliest, but wasn't rude or anything. Sandwich was delicious, I'm a huge fan of Chick-fil-A. read more

They got my order incorrect. The chicken was very dry, not its usual juicy goodness. The waffle fries were not good as usual. But in fairness, I do not care for the waffle fries in the least. I never have. The only good thing was that my son bought dinner. read more

Instead, everything happens at the self serve kiosks, where you can scroll through a surprisingly deep menu--Starters, Salads, Burgers, Sandwiches, Sides, Kids Meals, Shakes, Floats, Desserts, Drinks, Beer and Wine, even boozy adult shakes. I punched in my order for an Entrée Salad by the name of The Original Chicken. It included marinated seared chicken breast, mixed greens, caramelized onion, crispy onion, cherry tomatoes and sliced avocado served with house made honey-garlic dressing. It was listed at 740 Calories. I ordered it without the dressing, so that probably knocked off 100 or so. The salad was excellent, and I didn't miss that salad dressing at all because the chicken and caramelized onions were so flavorful. The chicken was juicy and tender and the avocado slices were pretty much perfect. I sat at the counter, enjoyed my lunch, and took advantage of the many charging ports available for counter seating. That was a nice touch. And the price of $13.25 seemed fair considering the airport surcharge factors you see everywhere.
