By now you should know that you get quality food from smiling people. The chicken is always good, but I find the french fries mediocre unless you get them very well done. When they have their seasonal milkshakes I always get them once. The peach is exceptional, and the peppermint top notch to. On my most recent visit, my son and I went through the drive-thru during peak lunch hours. They had 3-4 employees with tablets taking orders, one swiping cards/taking cash and another one standing outside the drive thru window handing out orders. There was also an employee standing to the right of the drive thru lane stopping people driving through the lot so drive thru people could go first. I really like the Chick-fil-A on Main Street in Summerville. This Chick-fil-A is very well run and efficient in getting you good chicken when you are hungry. They know how to keep everything moving and even when it seems like there are twenty orders ahead of you they still get your order ready in a matter of minutes. The food here is tasty and well prepared and I have always got a good meal here. The staff here is wonderful and friendly and goes all out to provide you with the best service and knows how to make you feel better if you are sad or stressed out. Fist I ordered deluxe sandwiches and nuggets, but I got chick fil a sandwich with soda and 2 fries, 1-I don't drink soda or eat fries , 2- my sandwich wasn't I wanted, 3- everything was so salty. Go back 20 minutes later to make an other order. Same thing... I ordered deluxe sandwich and nuggets , finally I got my stuff but I also got charged for fries. I don't eat fries. For all those that are in any way unhappy with whatever aspect of service the Summerville location provides, I would say that unfortunately you were a guest on one of the VERY FEW occasions that the service or food was not executed at a very high level. The system in place to service the # of customers they do is nothing short of remarkable. Even more important, is the fact the employees are ALWAYS polite, friendly and engaging. I have had a couple instances where my order was not accurate. They immediately made sure that I did not leave until the mistake was corrected, genuine apology issued, and I left completely satisfied- and eager to return. Chick-fil-A continues to show why they are THE STANDARD of fast service restaurants, and why they are creating more & more separation with their competitors daily. We then had to go back through the line and in result were not immediately helped, instead watched and waited as the girls chatted by the window even though they were aware we were back. Cars were honking in the drive-through and the girls still just stared without approaching to inquire what we were missing. Every Chick-fil-A menu around here is the same, which is to say excellent. This Chick-fil-A location is somewhat hard to get into and out of, especially when there is a long line. The drive-through line can trap dine-in customers easily and block all entrances and exits. If you have options, I'd choose another nearby location that's easier to access during peak times. read more

I usually like this location but my yesterday's visit put a sour taste in my mouth. I saw I had a free treat card as I was cleaning out my purse and decided I'd go to Chickfila yesterday to redeem my cookie! Upon arrival, the drive through was backed up all the way towards the Kohl's so my coworker and I decided to put in mobile orders so we can just grab our food and get back to work. The line for the register went out the door and we just couldn't wait. When the order was ready, I got the food and asked the person behind the counter how to redeem since the mobile order doesn't give you the option. She asked me to hold on while she asked the manager. The manager walked away from her as she asked the question. She waited for him to return and with his back towards me I saw him shake his head no. She turned around and said sorry, you'd have to get in line or go through the driveway to redeem the treat. Really? Seriously? You can't just take my card, ring it in real fast if need be and give me a cookie? It was upsetting because it seemed as if I was brushed off and that's not how I'm used to Chickfila treating me anywhere I go. Stopped by Chick-fil-A after doing some shopping at Target. Their staff does a great job of getting drive through orders and keeping the line moving. Despite the high number of people getting lunch here, we got through the line quickly and were on our way in no time. I got the Chargrilled Chicken Sandwich meal with an unsweet iced tea. But I live and learn and hopefully will not pass on those sins to the next generation. ;) If you have never had Chick-fil-a for breakfast then you need to grab life by the horns and try this place. The biscuits are so flavorful and moist. The chicken is seasoned perfectly, just the right amount of "crisp" and not a hint of greasyness. Let's get off the food for a sec. The service in Summerville is outstanding. "How may I serve you" are the 1st words you'll hear and it's not lip service. If you've been in Charleston for long then you know that alone is a reason to drop your other fast food fave like a bad habit... unless you prefer a biscuit topped with ineptitude, indifference, and inedibility. This place just opened up after some major renovations. Today was my first day visiting and I am sorely disappointed. I just moved to Summerville from California and the employees out there are far more courteous than what I experienced today. I don't know where their "Southern Hospitality" is. I understand they were very busy when I was there, but the awful attitudes I witnessed were below par for any chick fil a I have ever been to. After I got my food, I had to stop at the window to let them know they gave me unsweetened tea instead of sweet. I said "I am so sorry. I hate to do this to you guys but you gave me unsweet and I ordered sweet." Every single person at the window acted like I was a huge inconvenience, which I get it, I was, but YOU messed up what I ordered. One girls attitude stood out in particular. Her name was Corina or Corine I think. I'm attaching a photo of my receipt to show that I did in fact order sweet tea. I hope the franchise sees this and the girl gets training in customer service. What's with the parents who sit by the rest rooms and then let their unsupervised heathens play in the playground alone with the well behaved, supervised children? Pff! Anyway-food is always on point and hot. There has not been one thing that I have ordered-from salads to sandwiches to nuggets-that has been less than great. Service is always far above and beyond. I wish everyone in the world had the manners of chick-fil-a employees. It would be a much happier place!
