Once in a while I'm jonesing for fried chicken wings, mashed potatoes with gravy, and coleslaw. I eat in; usually at lunch. The restaurant is clean. The food is hot and fresh. Yesterday I order a spicy 7 piece tenders with fries and fried pickles only to find out they only gave me 3 strips. I called and was told to bring my order and they'll replace it. So today I came back to have my order replaced but they were not really willing to replace my entire order, only wanting to give me the strips that was missing even though I was told to bring the old order back. After some talking he replaced my whole order but not the fried pickles :/ i really don't want to go back just for the pickles lol so just check your food to make sure you got everything you ordered and save yourself the trouble. I do appreciate the gentleman that (sorta) helped get my order right but was still unpleasant trying to "convince" him to replace my whole order as if I had nothing else better to do with my time and was trying to "pull a fast one" on him lol read more

So my husband had ordered an order on door dash from this location on accident when there's one down the street from us. Nevertheless this location is max 10 minutes away and there should be no reason the food is 1. Cold 2. More stale than bread left in the sun, and 3. Rock hard nearly impossible to chew. Maybe he just got a bad batch, but reading the other reviews seeing as it seems like they don't care enough about the customers I doubt they really care about the food. Food for the most part is decent to very good. Love the spicy chicken strips. I have small complaints, I always order a biscuit instead of the roll, and they get that wrong a lot of the time. Sometimes they rush me too fast as I'm ordering at the drive thru menu, it would be nice if they repeated the order back to make sure it's correct. The drive thru isn't bad on wait time, the people at the window seem to be professional with no attitudes. Haven't been inside, not sure how clean it is, but outside seems to be fine. Would give them a solid 4 star if they would improve on a lot of little things. This has to be the worst food from Chicken Express ever!! I ordered 2 thighs and a breast. The breast was not cooked completely, small chucks of flour in the cracks. The thighs were more batter than meat. And all 3 pieces were so greasy I had to blot them with paper towels just to hold them. The fries were just as bad. Couldn't eat any crust or most of the chicken. $12.50 half an order. The tea was good. i have eaten at other locations and they were fine. In fact I've eaten at this one before, been awhile and it was ok. Won't be eating there any more. I'll find a Church's. read more

This place absolutely sucks. I'll be straight up honest. I ordered delivery and this place isn't far from my home so it shouldn't have been cold even with delivery time!! My fries were stale! My chicken was undercooked and chewy and my rolls were burnt and stale! They can't cook obviously! I wouldn't recommend this place what so ever! If you have the time to go to a different chicken express then DO IT! This place isn't worth the stomach pains and worth your money! If I could give this place less than one star I certainly would! Service was fast, they seemed nice but when I was waiting to get my food I could see inside. The cook and a girl boxing up orders were not wearing a mask. (Meaning they had the masks on, but the masks were on their necks not their face) so their mouth and nose were exposed as they were coming into contact with food they are then serving to customers. May not be a concern to many but it's a huge concern to me and felt other people should know and be aware. I got my food and immediately threw it out. The food is good, sometimes undercooked but good. But the customer service at the drive through window is never great or remotely good. The girls have attitudes or don't even talk to you at all. They never ask if you want ketchup or sauces and close the window before you can even ask. And no "have a great day". I feel that's the 101 of customer service. read more

Tonight, 8/28/20, I pulled up at 8:51pm to get into a full line, there was probably 7-8 cars in line. All the lights were on, parking lot and inside. I thought nothing of it since online it said they closed at 9:30p. Promptly at 9pm I see the girl employee walk out the front door, look around and close the door to lock it. Then swiftly after that all the parking lot lights and the building lights were turned off. I thought I was good since she came outside and looked at the line before going back in. Nope. The car in front of me pulled up and tried to order, I heard a faint mumbling of they were out of something. They pulled off and left. I pulled up and asked if they had fries, she told me that they were out of everything fried. She mentioned they had mashed potatoes and green beans still. Keep in mind, this was still only at about 9:02-9:03p. I told her me and the car behind me had been waiting already for ten minutes in line, she had no apologies and still stood firm that they had no more fried items. The ONLY place that had posted the new earlier closing time of 9pm, was on the menu in the drive through. It is not mentioned online. She was rude with me. There is no way that they just magically ran out of fried items at 9:01pm. On a Friday. With a full line of cars waiting to order (that were all in line before the newly posted 9pm closing hour). I would be livid if I was the franchise owner. We ended up going to Canes and spending our $20 there, it's right down the road. Would not be surprised if the other people turned away went there too. Completely unprofessionally handled and clearly the employees did not give a flying f***. We will not be returning to this location considering Cane's is close too and appears to have employees that care about their customers and restaurant as well. read more

?D you like fried catfish? I didn't even know Chicken Express even sold catfish until I sw a billboard in Greenville, Texas advertising catfish. So, when I came home I inquired about catfish at the Chicken Express in Lake Worth. Sure enough, they sell catfish along with sried chicken, and chicken tenders. So, I ordered the catfish, and now I'm hooked. It is the best tasting catfish in Fort Worth. A hint, always have them drop you fresh catfish fillets in the fryer. You'll have to wait a few minutes, but do not buy the fillets lying under the heat lamps. Huge difference in taste and quality. I'm a regular customer, and the fry cook always drop me 2 fillets in the fryer without me asking. Oh, and there chicken isn't bad either, but nothing beats their catfish. They don't advertize it, so al ways ask, and have them drop fresh fillets for you. read more
