So I am typing this with one hand as I had surgury on my thumb just before coming here for lunch. I was hungry and tired and needed something delicious to hit the spot after an exhausting morning. The man who took my order was extremely friendly and very polite, letting me know that my order would take some time to make. So I've been to few chicken spots like Dave's and Cane's but never tried this place. But man, now I wish I knew about this spot earlier. This place left other chicken spaces out in the cold. This sandwich was about the size of my face and I have a fat face. The chicken was hot and crispy and the lettuce was fresh. I wish the lettuce wasn't shred though. I like the leaf intact. The tomatoes were sliced a bit too thin and fell apart easily. Tomatoes to me should be at least 1/8 of an inch thick. The sauce was sauce wasn't overpowering. Didn't have any pickles but I'm ok with that. The fries were a it on the soggy side at least it didn't feel like they were frozen. They used some sort of seasoning on it and it was a bit on the sweet size. Could be just me though. I like my fries crispy and lightly salted. Definitely going back when I have the craving for a proper chicken sandwich. I also had the pineapple fresher but it tasted more like a pineapple margarita minus the alcohol. This area is rocking several fried chicken options but in halal format. Halal is not in the spicing or cooking style, but rather in how that chicken is processed before hitting the kitchen. It makes no difference to me, as I am not from that culture. But I have found out that halal chicken is a legit chicken because it is much more natural than mass produced American brand chicken. And due to the more natural state, it just seems more juicy with a firmer bite. Whereas chicken from a big name grocery store to me is a bit on the mushy side. So given the choice, I'd much rather be on the halal side, for my senses, not my religion/ethics. Menu is pretty simple, chicken on bone, chicken breast sandwiches and tenders. Maybe 3 sides to choose from. Even though they have bench seating inside, I think 90% of the orders are take-away. 2 piece Fried Chicken Meal ($14/4*) They only do drumsticks and thigh pieces for their chicken on the bone. I've gotten this twice and the exterior breading looked different both times. So I'm not sure which one is their target. The 2nd time I tried, it had a much more pronounced crackly crust that looks real similar to American fried chicken. But taste wise, it is on another level than say any American fast food fried chicken. Here there is crazy flavor to that chicken. Not sure if it is on the chicken itself, or in the flour dredge or both. But it is definitely spicy but not as in 'hot', but as in actual exotic spices blending together. I think this is Pakistani owned, so the deft use of spicing makes sense to me. I personally love this flavor as it isn't overwhelming like a curry or a stew. There is just enough to keep the mouth humming from start to finish. The crust does have a serious crunch, especially if you get a cook that really lays it on. I actually liked the thinner crust better as I got more chicken than crust in each bite. But like I said, I don't know what I'll get next time. And they throw in 2 sauces that are amazing to dip the chicken in. Both creamy, probably yogurt is my guess as the base. One is yellowish and the other pinkish/red hue. Both explode in spices again and one is significantly more garlic-y. I'll ask next time what those sauces are as they are amazing, and I usually am not a huge sauce person. Naughty Chick ($13/3,5*) This is their spicy chicken sandwich. Huge breast piece with a very thick crunchy crust. Same flavoring as the chicken on the bone. The breast meat is nice and juicy which is to be applauded. I am usually more disappointed in breast meat for sandwiches than not, so they are well above the curve. There is some sauce to this (probably one of the sauces that came on the side for the chicken on the bone). There is pepper jack cheese and sliced serranos for a serious punch. I like spicy but I think there was just too much going on here for me. Like my mouth got numb to the point where my taste buds were just overwhelmed. Some people love to go there, but for me, there is a fine line. The bread is the big down fall here. It is your basic commercial seeded hamburger bun. And when met with all the heavy ingredients in this sandwich, just turned the bread into paste into the mouth. I was cursing that bread after the 3rd bite and threw the top bun away after the 5th bite, and just ate it open face style. Sides tried: Fries (4.5*) Skinny like Mc D's so I know it is a frozen product. But again they dust it with their signature spice dust and man is it hard to stop eating them. I often leave many fries behind, but here I'm wanting more. And remember those sauces in the plastic ramekins, yup screaming to get dipped. So glad this opened this year in my town. I'm a fried chicken fiend, and to get one this unique from another culture just makes me proud to live in such a diverse area. read more

The chicken is incredibly juicy and the portions are absolutely massive. This sandwich comes with g sauce sauce, chopped Serrano peppers, pepperjack cheese and lettuce + side of choice ($13.74). Their chicken is freshly made. So please have a little patience. But it is so worth the wait!!! Upon arrival.... Pros 1) clean little restaurant. 2) free parking. There was plenty of parking when we arrived. 3) no lines! We went right up to the cashier and order. He was very nice. 4) we order the kids 2 tenders and mac&cheese for $11.98 and the Big G for $13.74. 5) took a little bit to get our to-go food. When we got in our car and took out The Big G sandwich....boy was the chicken huge!!!! The 2 chicken tenders were perfectly cooked. Thumbs up from our little one. She was only able to eat one tender. They are pretty big tender for her. The Big G was cooked perfectly. Batter on both were nice and crispy, chicken was juicy and big. We shared the Big G and still had left overs! There was a slight spicy kick to it, but we loved it! He agreed to replace the drumstick with a fresh one after he realized I was not going to be fooled. However, to my disappointment, the new drumstick was minuscule in size barely half of the original, raw drumstick I had initially received. It seems quality control isn't followed in the restaurant and you can risk getting salmonella from eating their undercooked chicken. I would not recommended coming back. read more

The chicken sandwiches (Big G & Naughty-chick) we're both huge, crispy, hand battered & well seasoned. So flavorful & delicious. The chicken was crispy on the outside and yet very juicy. I love the garlic sauce that came with it. Veggies were crisp & fresh. Fries were golden brown and crisp. The Mac & cheese was also good as attested by my teenage son. We also tried their fried chicken bone in. Delicious as well. I'm not happy with their coleslaw. It's on the runny & soggy side. The 2 employees were very friendly, considerate & attentive. We tried to eat here but the service was painfully slow with only one person at the counter and one in the kitchen. The young lady at the counter was courteous and told us she would be with us shortly. The one-star though is for witnessing her take cash from the customer in front of us then immediately right after, handle buns with the same gloves she had on! She didn't change her gloves. Same pair she touched the money with, same pair she used to grab the buns and assemble on the counter with. My kids were actually the ones who called it out first. We were SO bummed because the reviews were good and the menu looked really interesting. But after waiting a long while, then witnessing that, we didn't want to risk it. A new halal chicken place opened up in Fremont. It's by Round Table pizza. Positives. The chicken cooked perfect. The chicken strips were not over breaded. There are meals with chicken strips and meals with bone in chicken. There are also chicken sandwiches (fried) offered. The chicken and fries were so good. Loved the flavor and spices. I couldn't stop eating the fries. We ordered a Mac and cheese on the side. That was very tasty too. I like having halal options. I also love the fact they have a prayer area. The place is bright and clean. There's a restroom available as well. Negatives. The service wasn't what I would consider friendly. Maybe it was just me but it wasn't welcoming. We ended up eating in the car as opposed to inside the establishment. They don't substitute even though the sides are all the same price. This is for the kids meal specifically. I would think on any meal if the sides are all the same cost, you should be able to substitute. Lastly, I ordered Mac and cheese in addition to the meals. It would have been nice and good marketing if I was informed about the special on Yelp. If you check in any additional side is free. That was not mentioned. Overall I recommend this place. After driving past this place for a few weeks and not knowing the name of the restaurant, I finally got to try it ! Came in on a Saturday night around 8:50PM and it was busy ! I waited 20 minutes for our food; understandable as there were 2 parties ahead of me. The meal came with 2 sides and the sandwich came with 1 side. Tried all the sides: Mac n cheese, fries, coleslaw. Coleslaw is my favorite out of the bunch. Mac n cheese tasted like ones served in elementary school (not very descriptive I know, but IYKYK). Fries were average and well seasoned. The chicken was juicy and flavored inside. Outside was super crispy. I had it for take out and it held up well. Overall: the sides were just okay, but the chicken is juicy and crispy/crunchy; the size of the chicken pieces are fair/generous. Was in town and tried this place out. Food - Got the spicy chicken sand-which and a side of mac n' cheese. I personally felt the sand-which could have used some of flavor (e.g., different sauce , toppings, etc.) The mac in cheese was pretty good but the consistency was not smooth as I would expect with a good bowl of mac n' cheese. Service - Got the food within 15 minutes of ordering. Seating - There is seating inside which is mainly comprised of benches. No seating outside. Parking - This is part of a larger complex so parking can get pretty tough during peak times like weekends and Friday night. There is no street parking so your only option is that main parking lot. We went here at around 3pm on a Sunday afternoon. We wanted to go after the "lunch rush". It was easy to find and there were plenty of parking space. The place has delightful ambiance and an open environment. I like all the cute and funny signs that they had around along with aesthetic lighting fixtures. They also have cups and water dispenser out along with the utensils, napkins and ketchup. There's a nice prayer room as well. We ordered the Big G which comes with one side and we chose Mac & Cheese as a side. We also ordered the Friend's Meal which comes with 4 thighs and 4 drums, came with 3 sides and we picked Mac & Cheese for the first side and Fries for our 2nd and 3rd side. The Friend's Meal comes in three trays with the fried chicken, Texas toast the sides that we picked on each tray. We checked in on Yelp and got a free side order of fries which came in a basket of its own. We also ordered the Pineapple Refresher. After placing the order, it took about 15 minutes to receive our order. We got there at the right time because when we came in, there were only two guys having a meal but after we paid for our meal, a huge surge of customers came in. The Big G was really big! My son had to use both hands to eat his chicken sandwich and he couldn't finish even though it was quite good. The Big G was a bit spicy for my taste but my son was able to take all that spice. He really enjoyed it and thought it was delicious. He did not need any sauce at all in order to enjoy it. He definitely took it home to finish later. The fries was very well seasoned. The fries was a big hit for us because it wasn't your usual tasteless fries needing sauce in order for it to taste good. The Pineapple Refresher was very refreshing! The fried chicken came piping hot and we had to wait a few minutes to cool. The fried chicken was pretty nice sized and well-seasoned. We didn't like some of the sauces that came with it but there was a mayo-based sauce that we all ended up using with the fried chicken. The Texas toast was just a regular-buttered toast. Unfortunately, the Mac & Cheese was very bland and I'm glad we only ordered it as 2 sides. The only side that we did not get was the Cole Slaw. I was very glad that they kept the door open because when a few patrons left, one of the workers came around cleaning the tables and the smell of Fabuloso cleaner was very strong and it was difficult to eat due to the strong fumes. He was also mopping the floor with the same strong scented cleaner. I think that they can clean their establishment using a cleaner that is not offensive especially when there are people there still eating as it's very off-putting. I wanted to try Chicken G's due to the positive reviews and the fact that it's two doors from the Round Table Pizza I like. Pros: Very clean inside (but not a lot of tables). Food (Ordered The Big G) was made fresh to order. The sandwich is very large. Cons: The chicken seemed to be lightly breaded and I was looking for more of a "crunch" when biting into the sandwich. That's just my personal preference. The sandwich was good but it just didn't wow me. Fries were seasoned and were fresh but tasted average. It would have been nice if they also served coke or Pepsi products. Considering the price and taste of the food I'm not sure I would return.
