Working a double shift and didn't have time to buy dinner supplies. So back into the terminal I went. On Monday I was between a burger and chicken, went with the burger. So tonight I went chicken. It's lax so I presume that it's a limited menu. 4 basic sandwiches, a couple of salads, chicken strips a la carte, sides and drinks. I ordered the Chicken Guy BLAT which is a chicken, bacon, lettuce, tomato, and avocado (sauce) sandwich. I've had it before and it's one of my go to sandwiches here. Sandwich was solid, good flavor albeit messy. Make sure to have plenty of napkins. Typical fast food type set up. Order and pay at the counter, wait for your food to be prepared, and pick it up when your number is called. As is normal at lax pricing is higher than outside the airport but the staff has to be airport employees, all supplies need to go through tsa screening, and logistics on the airport Make everything both challenging and expensive. Another Yelper called the tenders at Chicken Guy! overcooked & I agree with her; however, I believe they're intentionally made that way. The heavily-seasoned panko breading is thiccc, giving the exterior a bit of a stiff mouthfeel. The inside fared better & the overall taste was a very middle-of-the-road okay. We shared a three-piece & made it a combo. If we weren't at LAX, I'd say the almost-$25 price tag was shocking, but overpriced airport food is par for the course. I have never eaten at a Chicken Guys before. I was told by the nice employee that it would be a 15-20 min wait but I was ok with that. And it came out in 5 mins anyways. I ordered the original chicken sandwich and the 3 tender combo. I got the hot honey sauce and sweet and sour sauce. The fries that came with the meal were delicious. The chicken tenders were super crunchy on the outside but tender inside. They were delicious. My husband really liked his sandwich and even had some of the hot honey sauce on it. Had time before my flight departed and between the Satouka ramen, Burger King and Chicken Guy closest to my gate, I went with Guy! These are fast casual options but food was good and freshly made. The menu has a small font so you may need to get to the counter in order to read it. The chicken strips are a good size and the Southwestern Sandwich was big with a nice mix of toppings. The worst customer service I've ever experienced--hands down. The employee, Yasmine, and her manager were beyond rude when my daughter was given the wrong sauce. Instead of simply correcting it, Yasmine called my 15-year-old daughter names, accused her of lying, and completely embarrassed her in public. The manager just stood by and allowed it. Over a sauce! I remember the first time I overseasoned something when I was a kid. It was an important lesson. I basically took every spice we had in our spice rack and dumped it onto some French fries. I'll never forget the taste of it. It's exactly what the tenders here tasted like. I'm not sure if it was on purpose or the cap fell off while they were seasoning them, but I lifted the box at one point and seasoning poured out of the bottom of the box like sand falling in an hourglass. As I was eating them I was staring at a giant billboard with Guy Fieri that said flavortown. The tenders definitely had a lot of flavor. Unfortunately that flavor was shit. I couldn't get through half of them and they cost $20. I'm at the airport so I expect things to be a little bit more expensive, but god those were gross. I had to brush my teeth afterwards to get the taste out of my mouth. Hours later and I had gnarly heartburn. The employees looked as happy to be there as I was at LAX at 6am. Don't blame them for that. LAX is one of the worst places on earth, seems almost fitting to have food this bad too. read more

I had just stepped off the plane and wandered into a small food court when I noticed a Chicken Guy! outlet. I had other plans for food but I can't say no to Guy Fieri! I got three chicken tenders and the requisite Donkey Sauce and also the Brown Sugar BBQ Flavor. The food was ready a few minutes later and was piping hot. These are some seriously good tenders. They've got a good crunch and the seasoning only enhances the experience. It's not too aggressive and bursting with flavor. And I'd tried Donkey Sauce before, of course, and it was as delicious as ever, and I really enjoyed the BBQ sauce too. I'd buy a bottle of that stuff if I could.
