Thieves. I have been coming here for years. I live less than a mile away. I have never been so disrespected. I ordered something that comes with two sides. They had the audacity to cut a potato in half and tell me that counted as two sides. I have ordered sweet potatoes as a side every single time I have a meal and I have never received half of a potato. The guy was extremely rude and didn't even let me speak. I will not be returning. This location has the notoriety of being the worst Chicken Kitchen in Miami. To be fair, they are franchised, so the faults of this location are pretty unique and do not reflect on other locations. Chicken is sometimes undercooked, the place is filthy inside and the customer service is ok as long as you don't mind the cashier taking personal calls while attending to you. I just had a to-go "cheesadilla," which I discovered has no melted cheese. Just a burrito full of cold shredded cheese. Either the worker completely blanked on what she was supposed to do (I dunno, make a quesadilla?) or this is the worst food product idea of 2017. I grew up eating alot of rice and beans so I tend to make my own combination which I love because everytime I can make it different. I usually ask for lettuce,tomatoes, black beans, that delish grilled chicken and then pile on the cilantro garlic sauce. This day I chose to go for the deluxe chop which is yellow rice,lettuce, tomatoes,chicken, and then pile on the curry sauce. You can even live dangerously and mix up all the sauces. Coming here is always a healthier alternative compared to what's out there these days and there's always wraps,sandwiches, and more to choose from just in case your not in the mood for one of the chops. The menu has different names of the combinations you may want to make things easier for you. So pile on the toppings and enjoy the sauce variation. We used to get take-out here once a week, but no longer. Several months ago I place a catering order for 20 people. I was very, very disappointed. In the past we have used this location for large orders and had been very pleased with their service, quality of food and quantity of food. This past order was enough to feed ten people, I was horribly embarrased. In addition, they didn't give us enough sauce and had the nerve to charge for extra. I called to speak to the manager to make sure that we had recieved the correct order and she completely blew me off, yes the order was for 20 people, she said. Huh? Last night, after a long day at work, I decided to give it another chance as the location is very convenient to my home. I ordered two take out orders, was charged for three, when I brought it to the attention of the woman who had placed the TWO ORDERS in the bag, she rolled her eyes at me and got irritated at me for her error! Quick lunch spot if you are in a hurry. I had gotten take out from here the other day for lunch, The chicken is cooked fresh and chopped up regularly. Never going to this location again. Sucks, because it's close to 24 Hour Fitness in Town & Country. They are rude and the place is dirty. The rice not the same color as all the other Chicken Kitchens. They mixed old and new chicken when making your chop. In other words, most locations give you an entire chicken breast. These guys only give you what fits in the measuring cup. The leftover pieces they leave there until the next customer arrives. The seating area is not well maintained, the floor can use a brooming a bit more often than at the end to the night and the staff really does not seem to want to be there. Chicken Kitchen is always a good choice. My preference is the Mexican chop chop. Comes with almost everything, tomatoes, cheese, sour cream, lettuce. If you can't resist, and I usually can't, ask for them to add skin on your chop chop. It's free, so why not?? Definitely takes away from the health benefits but I guess I just like to live on the edge. For those more conscientious of their weight, there's options sans sour cream and even cheese. Every time I have came here the restaurant has been clean and service prompt. The workers have been courteous and even downright friendly which is nice. I usually enjoy chicken kitchen because not only is the food really good but the service is incredible, but THIS location sucks. The employees looked unhappy to be there, rushed me while looking at the menu and when I finally got to order whispered "finally". The rice was undercooked (we weren't offered white or brown rice substitutes as usual), the meat was dry, the restaurant floor was a mess covered with food pieces around and the tables were sticky. It looked very dirty and the only reason we ate here is because we were hungry and was the fastest for college. If it wasn't for the fact that we were busy, we would've wanted a full refund. It's in that hellhole shopping center at Kendall & 107 where the pavement is pot-holed, the parking spaces are itty bitty, and idiots parallel park BEHIND parking spots so that you can neither park, pull out NOR drive around them. But honestly, that's not CKs fault, is it?? B. The lines are LONG. Why? Because the place rocks! Their chicken is moist and juicy, and the portions are HUGE. I make a meal out of a small chop-chop, and my Hoover-vacuum boyfriend and I can split a large one for dinner. Yeah. It brings enough food. I usually order the Cuban ChopChop with white rice instead of yellow. The rice is perfectly cooked, the beans are addictive, the chicken is hot and juicy (I'm sorry that Elias G. had the problem with the chicken, I ALWAYS get a fresh, hot chicken breast chopped in front of me straight off the grill!), and here's the tricky part: their lettuce and tomatoes are always crisp and juicy. ChopChop for dinner that night, after having had it for lunch! And each and every single time, they've been top-notch. I mean, people, get real: this is a fast-service place, not the Capitol Grill. I usually get it to go, but my coworker and I have visited several times to eat here, and it's been mostly neat. Do I sometimes find some shredded lettuce on the table or the floor? Well, yeah, I mean... c'mon, Miami people are filthy. It's not uncommon to see someone drop their sh*t all over the place and keep walking like it's none of their business. I used to live by this location and would come here quite often. Afterwork i was looking for a place to grab a quick bite and decided to drop by. The service was very slow because the cook and the party in front of me were having a long conversation. Its nice that they talk to regulars, but really i was standing there for about 10 minutes. I really don't get why this location has such average reviews. This is my go to spot for dinner when I work late. Whenever I don't feel like cooking, my husband is like " just pick up chicken kitchen". And that I do. The chop chop is always good. Whether I get it with brown rice or white rice I'm always content. The portions are perfect and the chicken is always cooked just right. The kids chop is also a good choice. My kids are always satisfied with it. Service is quick and friendly. I mean really, what more can you ask for. The only complaint I have is that it would be nice to have the curry sauce already packaged and offered to me. They remodeled the place, the food was as good as Chicken Kitchen goes, and the restaurant was clean. What really made the difference for me was the cashier. She was taking all kinds of abuse from a customer. She stayed cool as a cucumber and helped the customer on her way. Terrible, terrible experience. When I used to live in Miami Chicken Kitchen was a favorite food spot of mine. The original one on 136th street then the one in South Miami. I just came back to town for a visit and dropped by this one in the Suniland Mall and it was a total disappointment. We ordered Original pita pockets. The kid making our food had no idea what was in the menu item. He asked us about 5 times if we wanted guacamole and cheese. Don't know if he was hung over or just not paying attention at all. He clearly didn't want to be there. When he finished the pita pockets we asked him why he didnt put lettuce and tomato in the them and he insisted they didn't come with those ingredients. I had to point to the giant menu I was standing under that listed what was in the pocket.. The rude manager finally came over and took over the food prep. The fried plantains were grey, slimy and tasted funny. The seating area was dirty, tables to wiped off and floor not swept. Horrible experience. Terrible. I won't ever be going back. What a sad disappointment for one of my all time favorite places. I definitely noticed that as this restaurant start growing and franchising, its quality and appeal started diminishing. I will give them credit in the fact the restaurant was very clean, both in the prep area and general restaurant, with a large bottle of hand sanitizer available to patrons. Where this location loses me as a customer is the meager portion of chicken served. The little measuring cups used do not coincide with the large bowl of rice, or price charged. They meticulously add chicken as if it is a rare commodity. With nearby Chipotle and Diced, it is no wonder I was the only customer in the place when I went. I live very close by but normally go to 3 Chefs as it is a much better taste and value, despite not being as convenient. This place used to be a staple in Kendall for healthy fast food but unfortunately you can tell it has gone down hill. The gentleman that works the grill is excellent and friendly. Always greets with a smile and you can tell loves to help. Beyond that, the place is a disaster. The cashier is always talking to her colleagues, has an attitude. Today she charged my food then walked away without handing it to me. It took about 5 minutes for her to finish her conversation.
