    Yangnyeom chicken small wings

Was I a little skeptical about trying a korean fried chicken place in whittier? Yes. HOWEVER, look no further. If youre on the fence about it, highly recommend trying this place. Took advantage of doordash discount theyre doing so did not visit the store but when it was delivered to be after traveling about 15 mins, the chicken was piping hot still! Their yangnyeom is really great, sweet, spicy, absolutely the right consistency of sticky. I love that theyre generous with the sauce but not drenching in it so its not soggy. Fries were perfectly crispy and I love the shake fries seasoning they offer! I will say, the second time we ordered here, the fries weren't as hot like we got leftovers or the fries were sitting for a bit but overall, small slip for awesome chicken!! Will definitely order again the next time im craving and thats saying a lot considering i live next to 5+ other Korean fried chicken places!

The sweet and spicy sauce the YangeYeom, boneless

Very crispy and delicious with enough sauce on all the wings. The French fries are crunchy and crispy and have an incredible taste. Everything was very well seasoned as well.

Passed by this place and when I heard it was open. I decided to stop in and try it out. The owners were very helpful and friendly and the restaurant was very clean. The chicken itself is very delicious and tasty. Food is made to order and was cooked pretty fast. I will be stopping in again!

Super crispy and delicious. It's pretty spicy, around the same spice level as Buldak. Highly recommend if you love spicy food!

Super crispy on the outside...soft and juicy inside

You should slap yourself if u think Popeyes, KFC, church's or any other place has decent fried chicken and wings...this place cracks and will get you hooked wanting more. Freshly made chicken to order, various flavors...you need to try this spot. Quit playing Owners are super friendly.

Great addition to the West Whittier community is my new favorite Korean chicken place. This venue apparently focuses on to go than dine in. The website was super easy to navigate and I was able to get the email notifications on my orders without a hitch. The chickens are well executed, tender on the inside and battered thin enough to keep the chicken crunch but not overly clumped. Three flavors I tried were: original sauce, plain (regular) fried, and soy . They all tasted excellent. The spiciness of the original sauce is on the higher side, so I can't imagine how spicy the "buldak" options are going to be. Definitely recommended, give it a try and recommend ordering online about 20 minutes ahead. This ain't KFC, they cook to order so it takes time.

Crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside--this Korean-style chicken is absolutely delicious. The flavor is spot on, not too heavy, and the staff is incredibly friendly. I find myself stopping by every time I'm in the area. Highly recommend!

I'm very happy to finally have a Korean fried chicken shop right here in Whittier. The space is not huge, with only a few seats along a counter. So I opted for takeout today. The chicken was still warm and very crispy when I got home. I forgot which of the flavors I ordered, but one was on the sweeter side with a nice crispy glaze on the outside, while the other one I ordered was more spicy and saucy. From what I read, this is the first outlet of this chain in California. I cannot recommend this chicken enough. Parking is a bit of a challenge but there's plenty of nearby street parking. The owners are kind and were happy to chat about the business while I waited for my order to come out.

Great K-Chicken has (surprisingly) arrived in Whittier. Flavor profile is somewhere between Chicken Troopers and I Got My Sound Chicken, two of the best K-Chicken joints in the surrounding area. The chicken itself is slightly less juicy than Trooper, but is also less greasy and ultimately works in Chicko's favor. The sauce layer over the chicken has good taste, and is done carefully and well. Yang-yeom (mild spicy) is the winner, but the wife still swears by the Soy Garlic, which I begrudgingly respect (it's good yo). Service is very good, and they have a good selection of sides and drinks. I think most orders would be to-go, but there are some seats if you'd like to dine in. The only nitpick I would have is the cooking time - I wish it could be slightly faster (20 min), but it's not so terrible that I'd dock points for it.

I'm a sucker for fried chicken So I was excited to finally try this place. The vibe is the same as when it was two hands corn dogs. Owners were very polite and happy to guide us through this experience. I must say I had some doubts but was blown away to find out that their boneless chicken is actual boneless thigh meat chopped and fried! This made it more juicier and flavorful. We got a boneless combo with a drink and fries and a half order of the bone in fried chicken which consist of three pieces of a Thigh, one regular drum stick and one wing drumstick all seasoned with their sweet and mildly spicy Yangyeom sauce. It was delicious! Only draw back, and I understand this is Korean but I need more sides, something like a creamy macaroni or potato salad! Regardless, I will definitely be returning for some fried chicken. Tip: order online or via phone to avoid the 15-20min wait.

This photo was taken AFTER we already ate a good portion . Soy Gangjung and Yangyeom Delicious! Crunchy and hot ! *

Delicious! Crunchy and hot ! * This is my second time purchasing chicko chicken and it is truly a new quality gem in Whittier. The chicken is not greasy, the packaging has air vents so when you take your order home, the chicken skin is still crunchy. The meat is moist and delicious. This place is ran by a sweet couple and I'm really rooting for their business because it's in an area that could be overlooked. Pro tip**** would be to call in your order (for better pricing/pickup) Don't skip out on this place. I'm a big fan of pickled radish so I def got a large side of that with some sweet potato fries. It's all been delicious. Don't sleep on this place :)

It looks like they are under new management per the sign, so they are still getting their foot down-- as they had several tables that needed cleaning up when we entered. However, it was near the end of the evening, so that may explain they had a dinner rush and were catching up. The customer service here was immaculate. I wish we got our server's name but he anticipated our needs and requests before we expressed them-- from refilling our banchan, tea, to letting us know how we can eat a dish we were having for the first time-- he was seriously reading my mind! I never mentioned that I've never had the braised black cod dish before but it was exactly what I was coming in to order! Shout out to our server! Also, it was sooo good, I am still thinking about it 2 weeks later. The cod just melted in our mouths! There wasn't any fishy tastes. It wasn't too salty or sweet. The texture of the daikon on the bottom was perfect-- not too soft, not hard or fibrous. The banchan was also so good! Kimchi was very fresh and I loved the how savory it tasted while still tasting fresh! The onions, seaweed, and beansprouts really complimented the very savory gochujang sauce in the dish. 5/5 would totally recommend if you are in the area! I'm excited to come back to try other dishes!

My family of four chose the $39 Choice option, and it was absolutely worth it. We've been to many K-BBQ restaurants, but this is easily the best we've tried. The quality of the meat exceeded our expectations. Our favorites were the Prime Brisket, Pork Jowl, and Seasoned Short Ribs. The brisket had the perfect thickness and marbling, the pork jowl was juicy without being too rich, and the seasoned short ribs were incredibly tender and flavorful--better than any we've had elsewhere. The service was the highlight. The staff were fast, friendly, and attentive, making our dining experience even more memorable. We can't wait to come back!

I just hope it doesn't become so popular that it gets impossible to get a table. The quality of the meat here is SUPERB. Honestly, I'd give them 5 stars for the meat alone. Compared to other AYCE Korean BBQ places in the area, the quality really stands out. They also have a huge selection of side dishes, and everything we tried was delicious and well-seasoned. And the cowboy butter is an absolute MUST TRY! Trust me on this one. My pictures will speak for themselves! Service was excellent from beginning to end. The staff was attentive without hovering, our grill was checked frequently and replaced before we even had to ask, and everything came out clean and neatly presented. Another thing I have to mention: the floors are NOT sticky! This is seriously one of my biggest pet peeves with Korean BBQ restaurants, and this place is noticeably clean and well-kept. One small thing to know, there are no free refills on soda. But they do have a soft-serve station, which is the perfect way to finish off a flavorful and very satisfying dinner. Amazing meat quality, generous selection, excellent service, and a clean restaurant. Definitely one of my favorite AYCE Korean BBQ finds in the area. I almost don't want everyone to know about it BUT they deserve the 5 stars!
