I said no inside is what my family would like. When we got there they had a booth that would fit 8 maybe. There were 10 of us and we are not small people. We sat outside where the misters were too much for a few of us. They turned them off and we were ok. The manager was very nice and took off some money. That was a very nice gesture. The food and drinks were very good. We had a good time. I got some slack because we drove a good distance but I really wanted to try this place. Loved this location, my family attempted to try the Southern location months ago with no luck. This time we were able to enjoy the ambitious plus tasty food. Wait time wasn't too bad, 15mins max. We returned for our second visit for brunch and enjoyed the food, service, and ambiance again. Patrons were boppin' their heads to the blaring music and if I closed my eyes, I would think I was at the night club. I ordered the Churro French Toast with bacon, scrambled eggs, and potatoes and my wife selected the Supreme Skillet with potatoes, bell pepper, mushrooms, onions, bacon, ham, sausage, cheddar cheese, and fried egg. Both egg entrees were returned due to mine being scrambled hard when I asked for scrambled soft and hers being fried hard when over easy was requested. They successfully corrected their errors and we enjoyed our food with our hot cups of Cafe de Olla (Mexican coffee) which is the reason we decided to return. read more

Flavor great, food temp-chilaquiles must cool very fast- I wonder if they heated the plate if that would help? Egg and steak weren't, but chips had already cooled to almost cold. Breakfast Birria solid 5 stars. Service- solid 3 stars. If I hadn't been enjoying the company of my dining mates so much, I might have been more annoyed that we had to remind the servers about two different items. One of those items was the hot chocolate- when it was brought to the table, the server noted it wasn't a full serving and they would bring more by. That didn't happen. We will be back, but I hope the service gets a bit more efficient. read more

I drove from San tan to try this place out and I was not disappointed! Upon arrival I was seated immediately at the bar as I was alone and the entire bar seating area was available. Jenifer was behind the bar and got my drink order right away. She gave me a minute to look over the menu and then took my order quickly. I got the Chilaquiles trio, it came out within 10 minutes of me placing my order. The salsas were very flavorful and not spicy at all. My subpar experience started before I showed up. I have a child who has some sensory issues when it comes to certain foods so I wanted to make sure they did in fact have Chicken Tenders available. I tried calling this location a few times before I drove over - no answer straight to voicemail. I even called the other location thinking there was a menu tree option to choose what location which was not the case. I was cautiously optimistic so I drove over. When I got there I saw they DID have chicken tenders on the menu. I proceeded to put my name down and waited 40 minutes to be seated. It's a corner location. Kind of small but fits quite a few people. The decor was nice, modern and fun. The server came to take our drink order and then our food order. I asked for straws, they were all out. Then I asked for chicken tenders, they didn't have any. So I was quite disappointed and the server said is there anything else he would like? Which I said no because this is all he would eat here. I was hoping for some compassion or empathy after waiting for an hour after being in the waitlist and then waiting for our drinks... but nope. I just said I'll take my food to go then and ordered the Chilaquiles DF with green sauce. We weren't offered some bread or chips or anything... we just sat there. But she sure did charged me for my drink! The least she could have done said the drinks are on us or asked us if we would like some chips and salsa while we wait. After waiting another 25 minutes for my to go food... we left and I ate it on the way home. The food was okay but probably better with a fresh cold drink next to me and not eating it between stop lights. The service is what gave me a sour taste the most. It's a new establishment, I was prepared to wait 40 minutes... but being treated like I did, wasn't the best feeling. This was my first impression of this place as I haven't been to the other location. And as you can see my Yelp reviews in the past, I am not new to going to start ups or new locations. It's rare when I am feeling this way after leaving a new place. After every "negative" review I really try to help the businesses because I do want to see everyone succeed. Here are my thoughts to management if they read my review: I hope they are training their servers on how to be happy at work and be kind with empathy to their customers especially during start up phase as they have to be able to conform to a changing environment that is probably different every day as they work out the kinks. And also, please put up a sign if something is running out since you are new. If I saw a sign at the hostess desk, I would have been able to leave at that moment. Or figure out the phone system so people can talk to someone live and not a recording. read more

He added to our pleasant experience. You already know that I had to order the Cafe de Olla (it's a traditional Mexican coffee made with pilloncillo aka brown sugar, but better & cinnamon)! I also HAD TO add the concha! It was delicious! Ambiance is fun and hip! Music playing, and cute touches all around this restaurant. They have ample seating inside and outside. Overall the atmosphere and service is great. I think it's amazing that the wait staff is bilingual so if you prefer to speak Spanish don't hesitate to come here! The food. I ordered the breakfast sopes which is two egg, sopes, meat of your choice, cheese and refried beans with breakfast potatoes. It's not good but it's not bad. I don't normally make things with a lot of salt but that's exactly what is missing in my food today. It's pretty bland. My husband ordered the breakfast ramen is okay. It does have some flavor. The noodles appear to be from the top ramen package. The drinks are okay. My Bloody Mary tastes like I want to total wine and bought a cheap mixer for it. This restaurant is super stylish, very clean, and has plenty of great photo-op spots especially for a great IG Photo --perfect for a fun outing! They even played Hispanic and hip hop music so the vibe was perfect !! The food was overall good: the chilaquiles were delicious, and the taco platter came with 6 big tacos and two meat options. The carne asada was unfortunately dry and lacking flavor, but the al pastor tacos were honestly some of the best tacos I've ever had!!! They were so full and tasty I could barely finish three. The only real downside was the mimosa flight 4 for $16 , which were very small and tasted overly sweet, more like half syrup, sadly my husband and I both didn't even finish the strawberry & blueberry ones --not the best deal, especially since we came for mimosas to celebrate my birthday. Nope, just nope! Highly overrated! Cafe de olla super watered down coffee. The concha, blah you can tell it wasn't fresh. Tostadas were so soggy I had to just eat the meat and beans and overcooked egg with a fork. Birria is bland and fatty. My husband got the chorizo plate and because he wanted flour tortillas instead of corn we were charged "service fee" $2.65! Our potatoes were cold and dead so they brought us new potatoes...yeah same thing cold and dead! $70 for 2 adults and 1 child RIDICULOUS! After two attempts, we were finally able to get a table for brunch on Sunday afternoon. On our first visit we called while on the way and they stated there was no current wait. We showed up 8min later (checked the call log) and it was now a 25min wait- we left. Second visit we waited 10min and got a booth near the back. Service was not great and he would disappear for long periods of time and forgot my mimosa until after food was delivered. Portions were a decent size, but my skillet was very greasy and potatoes weren't cooked enough or cut small enough causing a lot of chewing. The food was really good but the service was horrible. We walked in and were seated right away. After 5 minutes, another table was seated behind us. While we were waiting, I noticed about 4 or 6 waitstaff enjoying a very animated conversation behind the bar. Turns out, one of those wait staff was our waiter. He then walks right past us and takes the order of the table seated after us. Once it was apparent that he was not coming back for us, I asked a busser if he could said our waiter over as we had not even gotten waters yet (we were going on 10 minutes at that point) he goes to the host stand to let them know then out waiter slowly strolls over. I ordered the enchiladas suizas. They were very yummy! The chicken tinga is flavored in a chipotle sauce, it was an interesting taste, it complimented the chile verde very well. The first visit was great--food was delicious, service was fast, and even though the server didn't speak English, she tried her best and was very attentive. The only issue then was that she kept speaking Spanish to my boyfriend after I explained he only speaks English. Still, she provided great service. The second visit, however, was disappointing. We waited about 10 minutes before anyone came to greet us, and it ended up being the manager--who was very kind and professional. The food was, again, outstanding, but our server didn't provide good service. She seemed rushed, wasn't very attentive, and forgot to help us sing happy birthday as I requested. I also had to ask multiple times for a receipt, and when I finally got it at the front, the total was different than what I was originally told. Unfortunately, I didn't leave a tip due to the poor service. I hope this feedback helps improve the training and attentiveness of the staff. I have to eat gluten-free. I can usually count on Mexican food places to have several gluten-free choices. That is a big no for Chilaquiles. They put sauces with gluten on all their meats. So tacos, enchiladas and chilaquiles were out of the question for me. They did have a power bowl with grilled chicken on it which I did order. However, they didn't offer any substitutes with grilled chicken on anything else, like tacos. When I complained they did reduce our bill and gave us a coupon for a free meal. I guess I can get a free power bowl. The irony is the place is called Chilaquiles Modern Kitchen and they had no dietary accommodation's not even gluten free toast. Not very modern! read more
