I've only been here once and I thought their food was alright. We were hungry and we wanted to try something new. We noticed this place on the way to our destination, so we decided to stop by because it looked clean and had an A rating. It's a little hard to spot because it is in the same plaza as Rite Aid and it is kind of tucked away to the side where no one can really see it. We got there around dinner time, and the place was completely empty. The guy working the counter was sitting at one of the booths, texting someone on his cell phone. He got up and took our order. I didn't mind the wait for the food (because I automatically assumed that they were making it fresh), so we just sat in there and looked around. The place was really clean. The salsa bar was very neat and the people that worked there were polite. I ordered the chicken soft taco plate that came with two chicken soft tacos, rice and beans. I also got a cup of their chicken tortilla soup. The food was alright. The chicken soft taco was pretty good. They put a lot of cheese and had some very lean chicken in there. The only thing that bothered me was that it was a little oily and that the corn tortilla had an odd taste to it. It might've just been me, but it tasted a little like cleanser. The soup was pretty good. I enjoyed that more than the soft taco. They put one of the corn tortillas in there to add some flavor and it was delicious. It was a little oily for my taste, but it was still pretty good. This place gets a 2 out of 5 stars because the food is was a little funny. I doubt that I'll be going back. read more

I get the nachos here all the time but customer service is lacking and the girls that work there all have attitude, and 2/3 times my order is always incorrect. Giving this place a 1 star if I could give a zero I would. Being a Assistant Manager at a food place I know how to handle clients and how to teach those as well. I understand that at times the situation at work are hard, but this girl managed to ruin it. Placed a simple order, young lady (Alyssa) let me know they were out of rice which is fine I understand. I continued to watch for almost 20-30 mins amazed on how she mimicked guest and gave them attitude. Talked about how she will get drunk after work and saying that shes annoyed with everyone*in a very loud voice* and all this nonsense, finally decided to cancel my order and walk away, but wait while canceling it she said,"thats fine more food for us." Perfect isn't it? If you aren't astonished yet I lost count on how many times this young lady touched her face her hair and scratched her hair and didn't wash her hands and continued to serve guest there plates. I remember this place being Green Burrito while back. I didn't even know it turned into Chile Verde. Anyway, it was 6 P.M. Friday. I was hungry and had to find something to eat really quick. I went in and ordered wet pork Chile Verde. This fat dude at the counter was just plain rude. I should have walked out right then. The sauce counter only offered tomato salsa and green salsa (a layer of dark green sauce left over that I had to scraped off). The floor was slippery and dirty. Here is the thing that really pissed me off the most. There were a couple of to-go orders on the table for awhile. As I was patiently waiting for my number to be called, this AHOLE didn't call my order number. Finally, this AHOLE looks at me and nods at one of the bag. WTF, am I suppose to be some sort of mind reader. Make this long story short, the burrito SUCKED. Are you sure there were Mexican guys cooking in the back??? I found three freaking chunks of pork and took bite of mouthful of tortillas. I threw away the rest of oil drenched chips. It was a total waste of $7.xx of my hard earned money. This is a review of two different occasions. My first experience I got a burrito covered in enchilada sauce. It was jam packed full of meat and guacamole. The wet sauce was the bomb, really flavorful. I will definitely order this again. The second time i went with my coworker because we were craving tacos. Papas tacos were very plain, no flavor even with the lettuce, tomatoes and cheese. I also tried a ground beef taco. Also lacked flavor. I will be back because my first experience was so good. 1.5 stars I ordered the Chile Verde @ Chile Verde. I figured you can't go wrong! =[ It was sub par as the meat was dry, even the fatty peices! The salsa bar has just two salsas, barely making it a bar. It was dead at noon on a wednesday and now i know why. I haven't tried anything else here and probably never will. The rice and beans were as expected though, and the two salsas were pretty tasty. They have orange bang/horchata which is definitely a win. This is a quick and friendly Mexican fast food place. The quality of the food is pretty nice. I like their crunchy beef tacos. I had it today in a combo with rice, beans, and their big beef enchilada. I would definitely come in again to try their other offerings. The big beef enchilada has large chunks of tender beef. This place used to be so good but for the past 2 months it's gone downhill real fast! We used to come to this location faithfully at least twice a month. They would get the order wrong every now and then but would fix it.. No questions asked. One time we went they were closed for 2 hours because they had no food available to serve. We went back after that and the food was horrible. The guacamole had no flavor, food was burnt, dry rice and beans.. So we stopped going for awhile. I finally decided to give it a try since it had been awhile.. What a mistake & a complete waste of money! The guacamole was brown and had a huge brown chunk of avocado, rice had no flavor, beans were so dry they were like cement!! I will never again return to this location!! read more

Let me start off by saying I love Chile Verde. However, this was my first time at this particular location. I was very disappointed to say the least. I ordered a combo plate with a taco and cheese enchilada w/green sauce. My boyfriend ordered a chimichanga wet with green sauce on the side. Our order was taking forever and we could hear the front counter girl and the cook arguing about the order. She was trying to tell him it was wrong and he was arguing back with her. He refused to listen to her and correct the order. We went to get the order and by that time were pretty irritated about the whole situation and time it was taking so we told her we could take the order as it. It was completely wrong when we got home. The chimichanga was wet with red sauce and there was green sauce on the side. Not for the chimichanga but for my enchilada the cook made with no sauce at all. The chimichange tasted like crap and so did the enchilada and rice. No way going back there, but willing to go back to another location so long as I have a better experience. One last thing is that the cook had his mask pulled down the entire time. I placed a catering order for pick up at 4 pm on Saturday for a Cinco De Mayo party that my wife was giving for het girlfriends I called the store at 330 to see if we could pick it up earlier and there response was " Your order was ready at 2, when you were suppose to pick it up so we put it back" I was horrified and asked if that were the case why wasn't I given a call? They had no response but to say they could have it ready in 20 minutes. We had one small tray of beans and one small tray of rice. We served dinner at 430 just to discovered they gave us 2 tray's of beans, when I returned with the trays there was no apology from the cook, they just gave me a full refund and sent me on my way. I've only been to the one on knox near the walmart, but i'm not sure why i can't find that one in Yelp.Sign says that they're proud to be using Crisco, which sounds pretty gross to me. In spite of that piece of information, the food is half-decent. In my opinion, not quite as good as poquito mas, eduardo's or baja fresh, but they've got different "wetter" options in their carnitas and green chile burros. Also, they serve breakfast a breakfast burrito which is way better than the weak selection of breakfast burritos in the Carson/Torrance area. Chile Verde is a rather surprisingly good fast food Mexican place. There are several in the South Bay area. This one has friendly staff, they always get my order correct (real important, because I've been disappointed many times at other places). I think the tacos, especially the soft Carnitas tacos, wet burritos, and of course, the Chile Verde (green sauce pork) is excellent for this kind of spot. Prices are very reasonable, you can call your order in and it will be ready. Best part is, the food is always consistently tasty.
