Chicken Taco

I don't like to complain but after receiving no response back I felt the need to share. I ordered 4 chicken tacos to go and there was literally 1 tablespoon of chicken in each taco. Obviously they don't care about customer service or to improve it.

This is my go to place for nachos. In addition, you can help yourself to their salsa bar for their spicy green salsa and jalapeños. On Taco Tuesday, I recommend the hard shell chicken tacos. The service is always prompt and friendly.

**AVERAGE MEXICAN FOOD TO-GO** Craving some local Mexican eats and was too lazy to drive past Torrance. Chile Verde popped up with a decent rating on a delivery app and immediately placed an order. FOOD ===== CHILE VERDE PLATE - $10.99 Pork with green chile, served with rice, beans, and tortillas. The meat was pretty moist and tender, but the chile sauce was a bit salty. The red rice hardened tremendously and the cheese on the beans congealed after left untouched for an hour, a bit too processed for my personal taste. RATING: 3/5 FLAN - $2.49 I added this to my order and believed it was a homemade or restaurant-made flan. Nope, it was a Juan J's flan (see photo). I find it personally deceiving that they did not disclose this on the menu clearly. RATING: 2/5 OVERALL ======== Personally, not my jam. I know it's family owned, so I don't want to be harsh. I wish them the best. My review is not going to stop their fan base and devotees, as they have several locations in the South Bay.

Menu

Ordered thru door dash for a wet bean and cheese burrito (vegetarian as no lard etc) wet and a side of beans and cheese to make some nachos at home. I put notes to get some spicy salsa etc and it was all done correctly and food was excellent and the portions were huge. spicy salsa was very good. Sauce on the burrito was good, I would say it was 7/10, but the beans and rest were 9/10. Service was great as well.

Rude cashier

First off I love this chain, I know the family that started it and let's just say they won't be happy with what I have to say about this location. My family and I order 2-3 times a month from this location and despite the food being good the service is despicable. It's Friday night and an hour before closing time and the staff is already cleaning the beverage station and putting up chairs. Which sucks cause I had been calling to place an order for a little over an hour. As soon as I walked in the cashier immediately rolled her eyes at me like I was bothering her. Wanting Horchata for my drink, and seeing that they had already cleaned the beverage station i asked her if there's was any in the back so she could fill my cup (it was a to to order) and she rolled her eyes once again and talked to me with an tone as if I were annoying her she said there was none left and immediately picked up her phone and started to text, ignoring me. Being I'm in the restaurant industry for a decade plus, I know this is not how you talk or deal with customers. This girl is obviously privileged or just doesn't take her job seriously and this isn't the first encounter with her and her attitude. She clearly has a stick up her ass and doesn't have any business dealing with loyal customers or customers for that fact. I would do some house cleaning if I owned this establishment cause bad employees like this could definitely ruin your reputation, and I don't want that cause the food here is great.

Damn Toothpick is almost damn near the size of the Taquito.
Ernesto G.

Now, I have ordered from here a bunch of times and have been satisfied each time. The order of the 3 beef taquitos are always on point! However, this time, I damn near lost my tooth cuz of the damn taquitos! To say the least, I am in a lot of pain cuz I bit hard into one of them I heard a pop and felt instant pain. To my horrific surprise, there was a fucking THICK ASS TOOTHPICK inside the taquito. I don't know if it was done intentionally by one of the workers cuz u can barely see the toothpick from one of the sides, but that damn side was down! So I picked up the taquito, put the Guacamole on top, bit into it hard and WHAM! Instant regret! Chile Verde, you need to do something about this! My damn tooth feels numb right now. I hope it doesn't fall! Chile Verde, please let me know how you will take care of this issue! Sincerely, A very disappointed customer in PAIN!

Everything tasted incredibly fresh and perfectly seasoned. We ordered the carne asada and carnitas, and both were amazing. The meat was tender, flavorful, and not fatty at all just perfectly cooked and packed with flavor. My daughter had the bean and cheese burrito with rice and beans and loved it too. They bring out three different salsas with the chips, and each one had its own unique flavor. You can tell the chips are house-made because they're fresh, crisp, and just really good. Some Mexican restaurants can make things overly salty, but everything here tasted balanced and fresh. I also had a Paloma and it was made perfectly. Before we left we decided to try the churros and I'm so glad we did. They were filled with this amazing cream and came with a caramel sauce for dipping. I'm not usually a big dessert person, but these were seriously incredible. Great location, great service, amazing food, and everything tasted fresh and well made. We will definitely be back!

Service was very friendly and attentive and we were promptly seated and served fresh chips along with a trio of salsas which were fresh and had the perfect levels of spice. My son had the kids enchilada and enjoyed his meal. I ordered 3 tacos from the à la carte menu. The chicken was fine but the fish and shrimp were undercooked and I couldn't eat them, which is why I deducted the one star. The other deduction was for the underwhelming flavors in the meals themselves. Usually when a Mexican restaurant had amazing salsa, the same vibe carries through with the entrees , but unfortunately it wasn't my experience. I would probably try once more and edit my review based on a second experience.

Unfortunately, she didn't bring her ID as we hadn't really planned on dining out. He refused to serve her. Ok no problem. However, my drink didn't have any alcohol at all. (I'm well over 21 years old). Told the waiter my drink was without alcohol and my daughter's drink was blended, not on the rocks! Waiter came back with a jigger of tequila. Finally got our water. We ordered the birria tacos, 3 beef tacos and a burrito. it did not have the consume dip that is supposed to come with it ( had to request from the waiter) & the whole entire taco shell fell apart. The portions were quite small and the prices have surely gone up for the amount of food on the plate. The burrito wasn't bad. Service wasn't great. Waiter never refilled our water glasses. He kept pushing dessert when we weren't even finished with our meal. Ambiance is typical of most Mexican style restaurants. Sorry, but we will not be going back to El Torito.

When the craving hits, it's always tacos!…read more I stopped by Tacos El Goloso on PCH and ordered a mix of street tacos (carnitas and al pastor) along with the tacos dorados de birria. I've been here before, and the birria tacos were exactly what I needed for a late-night craving. Crispy on the outside with a good amount of filling and strong flavor - they really hit the spot. I ended up having four of them. The consomé on the side was really good too - rich and flavorful, almost something I could've just had on its own. The street tacos were solid. The carnitas had that tender, slightly crisp texture, and the al pastor added a bit more seasoning and contrast. Nothing overcomplicated, just straightforward and satisfying. Service was friendly, and the setup is quick and casual. In the South Bay where places tend to close early, it was nice that they were open until around 10pm. Overall, this is a no-frills taco spot where the focus is on the food. Easy choice when you're in the mood for tacos.

We ordered a side of guacamole, which my daughter loved. Her and I shared a three taco plate with rice and beans. We had the fried cod, asada and carnitas. I'll be right there. The tacos were definitely sizable and we weren't able to finish our share plate. Good flavor loved the freshly fried fish steak crispy even with a huge mound of guacamole on top. The Carnitas had a cinnamon flavor which I've never had anywhere else before, but I surprisingly liked it. Must try our Max's Margs. And my daughter said the best Shirley Temple's she's ever had. The fish taco was excellent, and the carne asada was pretty good (it was a bit on the dry side because of how crispy the meat was, but it was still tasty).
