I placed an order to go and when I got home I realized that an item was missing. I called the store to report and ask if it would be OK to come and pick it up. I was shocked to have the girl tell me that I hadn't ordered that item! When I assured her that I had ordered it, she told me "yes, but I forgot to ring it up." Then I explained that I was looking at the receipt and that not only had I ordered it, she had rung it up and I had paid for it. At that point she said "well what can i say, I'm sorry." I've had good service here and bad service here but I've never as long as I recall had COMBATIVE service here. Ruby has made sure that no Chile Verde will get more of my business. read more

It took a bit for me to do this for various reasons. I am familiar with who the owner is and don't feel he deserves this but this is strictly a reflection of his employees, mainly the cook he had on Saturday Nov 9th. I had never been to this location but decided to give it a try. I was informed by the Ms there that this location has everyone from a previous location go there because the food was super good and better than the other. (Backstory a bit- Pch -Narbonne-closed down due to a new place to eat -same owner -went in place and by what the Ms here said it was because this name brand was not doing well there) yet when it came for me to get my food, carne asada fries without pico de Gallo, I did not receive it. I asked the girl if it had been made like I asked for, she said yes without checking it. Unfortunately I didn't check it either because I had not yet ate all day. So when I arrived at home I was about to eat it when of course I saw the pico de Gallo on it. I was going to shrug it off and move it but I knew I was not going to eat in peace. I called them and was asked what did I want by the Ms there. I said very upset that I wanted them redone because it was not how I had asked for them. When I arrived at the store I had given the fries to the Ms who said they had started on making them. Yes I received them and when I went to check them they were the 2nd picture with less and even the Ms asked if I wanted more of them. I was sooo hungry that I just stormed off. Plus not to mention the fact that I saw they were microwaved so why would I want more. Again I was really hungry and ate what I could of them when I finally arrived back home...I will not be going here ever again!! I had planned on ordering for a birthday soon but not from this location.---ps..I FOUND RECEIPT and she did not note that it was supposed to have been without pico de Gallo even thought I had asked her..smh! read more

I didn't really like the burrito and chicken quesadillas. I ordered on postmates and I kinda regret it. The burrito had a lot of seasoning l'm guessing it's the meat. It was overly seasoned with pepper. Two hours later I still have the taste in my mouth. The chicken quesadillas were lame. It had no flavor at all. :\ not ganna order from here anymore. It sucks because I ordered for my husband and I for when he comes home to eat at his hour break. He was also disappointed. Oh well. read more

I don't usually review chain spots, but this Chili Verde is a place my family gets the after church meal from every so often. The customer service is always friendly and the place is very clean. The food is always consistently good we don't have to wait long for our order (considering there's usually 8-10 people to feed). read more

So I work around the corner. Chile Verde's food is ok, but nothing to write home about, mainly come here for convenience. Ordered lunch today, via yelp/eat 24, show up on my lunch break to pick up my order, which was confirmed 22 minutes prior, and my food isn't ready, and I'm told "they cannot confirm eat 24 orders because they don't have a tablet"- whatever that means. Still, the restaurant took my card/money when I ordered, and now I'm standing around on my lunch break, waiting for my food as if I just walked in off the street. I worked in a similar style/business model Mexican restaurant in high school, it's not that hard to run a small location like this one effectively. Normally not one to review on yelp, as I feel things happen and sometimes restaurants have off days, but I draw the line when you take money from customers and can't provide the service they paid for in a professional and timely manner. In my recent visit.. I ordered a Burrito.. that I had been craving.. a Bean Cheese Burrito with extra Carne Asada..no rice, once I received my order since I placed the order to go.. got back to my office to find out that they completely screwed my order.. Instead of bean and cheese burrito with carne asad they gave a burrito full of rice no beans and a bits of meat..what in the world. the girl working their didnt take my order correct.. I called the store and asked if there were owned by the same owner as the store that use to be on PCH and Narbonne they said yes. So I ordered some of their chicken nachos just like I use to at the other store at least once a month. well I was very disappointed the chicken was shredded like a chicken taco not in chunks like nachos should be, also the chips were stale. I tried the location on Knotts and 190th. The food was good, but the service was bad. The girl at the counter acted like she was very unhappy. The burritos was large and fair. They have a limited salsa bar, but the salsa were great. The burrito had no chili in it, I had to doctor it up with the salsa bar, and the chips that came with the meal were stall. read more

I've come here since high school for the veggie burrito, and when I went vegan in college I was happy that I could even veganize a few of their options. However, the last three times I've been to this location, the salsa has made me and/or my family sick. I know it's the salsa because I order vegan and my parents don't, and the last two times I've just used their extra salsa on food I made myself. Each time, one or all of us feels sick the next day. We have been talking for years about going there. We were so happy we finally decided to go in last night. The food is better than regular fast food. So Happy with it that we are going back again tonight and trying something different. Only wish it was a drive thru. Only wish the Menu on the wall has bigger letters, it was hard to read. Since LBJ's had gone so far down hill idk if they will ever come out of it, I was looking for an inexpensive fairly quick alternative, i had been to Chile Verde before and remembered it being pretty good. I went back there a few days ago and perfecto. Just what I was looking for its basically how LBJ's used to be but personally i think better. Generally my fav fast food Mexican place. The last time in they got the order wrong, but I still enjoyed what I rec'd for my $. They're not particularly inexpensive though given the superior quantity and quality over the real fast food Mexican aka Taco Bell and Del Taco I enjoy them more. I don't like being nickled and dimed when I ask for cheese in the Burritos, I think it should be included in the price particularly since I usually order my Burritos BEANS NO RICE along with what ever my meat choice of the day happens to be. The tacos are okay, but the pulled beef is often tough and fatty. I recommend the Asada and Chile Colorado, stay away from the Carnitas as they don't bother to marinate the pork prior to killing it with over cooking. read more

This review is only for the Taco Tuesday special, $1.29 for either a hard shell chicken or ground beef taco. Can not beat this deal, these crunchy tacos are very good. I typically order the chicken tacos and have been very impressed with the generous portion of chicken; lettuce and tomatoes on the tacos have always been very fresh. This is one of the best Mexican chains around. The food is always consistent, always good, always fresh. There's no lard in they're beans so that's a bonus for all of us. I love the bean tostada with no cheese, no sour cream and add rice it's a very filling meal. When I can control myself I can get two meals out of it. read more

Just...wow. Due to the convenience of it being in the same shopping center as Staples , my husband picked us up some dinner from this overrated spot. Their chicken tacos are discussing, my poor toddler couldn't seem to bring herself to bite into it for a second time around, and I can't say that I blame her. The carne Asada burritos were gross as well. Nearly $40 down the drain! My husband said as he was waiting on his order there was a customer complaining to the cashier, stating that the water from the water from the soda machine was brown. Yuck! The man said "it's dirt". I don't know with whom I should be more upset with the owner/workers that work there or at my husband for not cancelling the order. NEVER again. Both the lack of quality of the food and negligence on the cleanliness of the facility is enough for me to boycott this place. You're better off grabbing yourself a Pollo Loco burrito. read more

I really think it depends on what cook is there. I have days where the food is properly seasoned and fresh. Other days, like today, are not so good. My nachos were soggy and the shredded beef tasted like they were soaked in tomato sauce. Ewwwwwww! There was very little to no cheese on my NACHOS. Deserves no stars but since I am forced to, I will give them one. So my company decided to order from here instead of having our usual potluck for a going away party for our interns. We placed the order two days in advanced per their catering policy and instructed the cashier to have it delivered at 11:45am for the luncheon to start at 12:00. Decided to call around 12:15 because we hadn't heard anything but the phone line was busy. Finally got through after calling 10 more times and was put on hold. I decided to drive down there while still on hold. Worker finally returns on the line after I'm pulling up so I hung up the phone. Told her about the order and she had no knowledge of it. They had to make the order right then . By this time it is 12:45pm. She called the manager to see if any type of discount can be applied but he said no because it was already paid for in advance. The only thing that they could do was offer a free item like chips and salsa. We got free guacamole but that is no adequate reconciliation for the inconvenience they caused. Our business is a very busy foster family agency. Social workers have set times to make visits and their schedules are often made far in advanced. Some were not able to stay for the luncheon. Needless to say everyone was very disappointed and a little angry with the service we received . It's very unprofessional to take catering orders with the customer's money and then forget about it. 1/22/2016-This review is for the Sepulveda/Arlington address only. Just returned from lunch and I've got to say I was disappointed for the first time. I eat here several times a year and it seems things have gone down the hill. I ordered the green pork enchiladas and they seemed to be on the small side. The green sauce was super watery. I don't remember it being that way before. Not much taste either. They used to give you a big bag of chips with your order and now it's just a few chips thrown in. Rice and beans, not much flavor. I realize this is more or less fast food mexican food, but after raising their prices I expect it to be consistent as before. I realize food prices are terrible these days, but hopefully you can keep the quality the same. I'm going to start looking for another place. read more
