Panang Cury- A classic pairing that tasted as you would expect. Mild spicy to those that may be more sensitive to spice level. A nice local place with a nice lunch menu. Was originally going to get that but didn't want to eat too much and noticed this rice plate option on the menu for lunch. Next time I come I will try the lunch combo but this definitely helps fill in that light craving I had. Service was speedy for lunch which I appreciated. As with most places with SF, street parking limited and some streets you have to pay but there are some that is 1hr parking. So just have to go around a bit. read more

We usually get take out food and really enjoy it. After eating in for the 2nd time I thought it was time to share my experience! The atmosphere itself is clean and pretty plain in a good way. For a mom and pop like shop, they take great care in fixing rips in the booths and keeping the space clean. The service is amazing. We came at lunch and the person who usually serves us was there. She's really sweet and despite working alone the day, she came by often to check on us. The food was great and well priced! We got the lunch special that day, I got the salad with cashew nuts chicken and my partner got the coconut soup with garlic and pepper beef. We liked the soup/salad starters and our entrees had great meat and fresh produce. Incredible "wok" taste. I was surprised how tender my partners beef was! We will definitely keep coming! read more

Not bad!! A great place for a casual weeknight dinner with my husband and a friend. We ordered 3 dishes total. Nothing really stood out to me, I really like the sweet potato fries! Its thick cut and so crispy. The stir fry wok dishes was pretty salty so I probably wouldn't order that again. Curry is good but also on the saltier side. My go-to Thai spot in San Francisco. Every single thing on the menu is amazing. Even as a vegetarian, there are so many options. My favorite is the Papaya salad, Tom Kha soup, and Thai Chili Basil tofu. They have extended hours and also offer their own in-house delivery service (save on the Doordash/UberEats fees). I got Pad Thai, my MIL got the pork short ribs, and my wife got the lunch combo with coconut soup, yellow curry, and rice. All three dishes were delicious. The coconut soup was filling and flavorful, the curry was hearty, and the pork ribs were delicious and tender. The pad Thai had a lot of what tasted like tamarind sauce (?) but I love tamarind, so I really liked it. The interior seemed nice and like a good place for a casual lunch. I came in for lunch today with my fiancé's niece. I was craving Thai food, and I thought I'd be sure to find some in the Mission. Chili Cha Cha 2 had good reviews, so we decided to give it a try. If this review were just for their customer service, it would be 5/5, the woman who took our order was so sweet and helpful, and I appreciated her positive attitude. I ordered the pineapple fried rice and asked for it to be spicy. Unfortunately, it was not spicy, the flavor was bland, and it was greasier than needed. The ambiance and decor were also bland and neutral. Overall, the experience is not something I need to repeat in hopes of improving. I'm glad other people seem to love the food, though! read more

The first time I went, I challenged myself and got the spicy Pad See Ew and it whipped my ass - so much so that the waitress got me a Thai tea on the house because it was too spicy for me. The roasted duck plate was the one that kept coming me back. It's one of those options that isn't always on the menu so keep a good look out for that one! If you can't get it, try the duck salad. Speaking of salads...If you're just starting to get to know this place, I'd recommend beginning with the mango shrimp salad. I like it spicy but make sure you ask to adjust to your preference. Get the Thai samosas. You won't be disappointed. Chili Cha Cha fried rice and the pineapple fried rice are a burst of complex flavors playing together in your mouth. You can start with soup or salad and then get an appetizer and main course at the same time. I tried the salad which had a creamy dressing. For the appetizer, I tried the tofu spring rolls which were delicious, and the sauce on the side was rich in flavor. For my main course, I got chicken yellow curry with brown rice, which is my usual take-out order. As always it was delicious. This is one of the best places to try curry dishes. They had a lunch special which was reasonably priced at 15.95 and includes soup or salad, appetizer and entree. Employee was attentive and I received my food quickly. The veggie coconut milk soup surprisingly had a tart taste to it but was good. The veggies were not over cooked. My spicy eggplant with tofu was great but the tofu was a little bit over cooked. I went here last Thursday night at about 9:00PM, an hour before closing. No one in the restaurant. I ordered a cashew nut duck dish w/ steamed veggies on the side. It was so sweet, too sweet. If it was only sweet, no problem. However, it was like they dunked the entire dish in salt and marinated it in vinegar before serving. Oil was visibly pooling at the bottom of the dish. The amount of seasoning and oil in the dish made me think they were masking the taste of expired food. I found out later, after an interesting trip to the bathroom, that was the case. Water was served in scratched plastic water cups. I do not recommend this business. read more
