Sweet Pumpkin Soup Bowl
Becky V.

Service was friendly and courteous Can get busy at night, 4:30-6pm is not filled yet easy to get a table Small cozy place Food -Papaya salad was ok -pad Thai not really flavorful, a lot of bean sprouts -sweet pumpkin soup is a hot Tom kha coconut soup with pumpkin pieces added into it. Had to get this because it sounds interesting and I'm always up for trying something new. Appreciated trying, but after I still prefer the traditional Tom yum or Tom kha soups -pad see ew smelled fragrant right off the wok when served Street parking

Love love this place, the portions are good, prices are welcoming and it tastes fresh. And their food is nice and spicy, sometimes can be a hit or miss depending on the place, but here they do it right. Its a pretty small place so there may be a wait or have to squeeze a bit but its worth it for the vibes and food. Want to make this my regular Thai restaurant!

Not bad!! A great place for a casual weeknight dinner with my husband and a friend. We ordered 3 dishes total. Nothing really stood out to me, I really like the sweet potato fries! Its thick cut and so crispy. The stir fry wok dishes was pretty salty so I probably wouldn't order that again. Curry is good but also on the saltier side. Overall, would come back again for a casual weeknight dinner but probably not anytime soon.

What a lovely spot tucked in the mission! The lunch combo is a steal! I had the yellow curry lunch combo with pot stickers and the coconut soup Everything was delicious! Pad see ew was also scrumptious. The food here is tasty and affordable. What a lovely combo!

Lunch special pumpkin curry ( veggie only)

I always get the lunch special of pumpkin curry with soup and salad. The pumpkin curry is really delicious and I like to get it veggie only. Comes with a great coconut milk and lime soup and I get salad rather than the heavier lunch starter options. Plenty of tasty food. Service is always good and servers are pleasant. Bare bones atmosphere. Nice neighborhood spot.

I thought this was a cute Thai place in this neighborhood. They had pretty quick service and good food portion sizes. I had the tofu pad ke mao. I liked the flavor, but wished there was a little bit more sauce and spice. They have vegetarian meat options as well if that is what you enjoy. Overall, I enjoyed this meal and definitely recommend to other vegetarians looking for a Thai place!

I came in for lunch today with my fiancé's niece. I was craving Thai food, and I thought I'd be sure to find some in the Mission. Chili Cha Cha 2 had good reviews, so we decided to give it a try. If this review were just for their customer service, it would be 5/5, the woman who took our order was so sweet and helpful, and I appreciated her positive attitude. I ordered the pineapple fried rice and asked for it to be spicy. Unfortunately, it was not spicy, the flavor was bland, and it was greasier than needed. The ambiance and decor were also bland and neutral. Overall, the experience is not something I need to repeat in hopes of improving. I'm glad other people seem to love the food, though!

Service is prompt and servings are huge! The lunch combo is the perfect choice if you're looking to try a couple things on the menu. If you know what you like though, the entrees are the way to go. It can serve 2-3 people, but you may not want to share because our dishes were tasty! We tried the lunch combo: house salad, crispy tofu, and chicken pad thai noodle and the beef pad see-ew. This is the type of place I'd bring my family too. It has a homey ambiance, great for casual-catch ups. Parking is limited in this neighborhood, but even if you park far, it's usually sunny in this area which makes for a nice walk.

The food was good, but there were a few things that kept it from being a 5-star experience. I ordered the Pad See Ew, and while the flavor was tasty, it was noticeably salty to the point where I ended up drinking about four cups of water afterward. The portions also felt somewhat small for the price. For example, the crispy calamari was $14.50 and came with only around 4-6 pieces, which felt a little underwhelming. Service was probably a 3/5 for me and my family. When we were ordering, the server's tone came across as a bit hostile, and we felt rushed both while ordering and eating. That said, the food still had good flavor and I can see why people enjoy this place. The ambiance definitely added to the experience, and with slightly better portion sizes and a more welcoming service experience, this spot could easily be even better.

I only knocked the restaurant down by a star because the servers were pretty pushy with wanting us to leave despite the multitude of empty tables around us. Besides that, the food is really delicious. The papaya salad is amazing if you like spice! There was a great kick and acidity to the papaya salad distributed throughout the fresh vegetables in the dish. I highly recommend! The pumpkin fries were also a great choice: crispy fry with soft pumpkin inside, maintaining the overall pumpkin flavor profile. The sauce they provide on the side (sweet and sour plum sauce), cut through the fry but didn't overwhelm the pumpkin itself. For myself, I got the yellow curry with chicken. The curry dishes do not come with rice, so you will have to order that on the side. The curry is not only a generous portion, but FULL of ingredients. They do not skimp on the meat, potatoes, etc. Highly recommend trying Farmhouse Kitchen for some flavorful Thai dishes!

Fried rice: 6/10 This was the only dish I was disappointed in. It was sort of bland, and contained very little spice despite being labeled as spicy. Eggplant stir fry: 8/10 The eggplant and sauce was good. The eggplant soaked up all of the good richness, but the tofu was very hard in the outside. A little difficult to bite into. Pad Thai: 9/10 I really enjoyed this one. The noodles were chewy and the flavor was on point. Good with chicken. Samosas: 8.5/10 Solid. Good flavor but a little overpriced ($11.5 for 3 samosas) Khao soi: 10/10 By far the most impressive dish. I've never experienced a flavor quite like this. Lots of spices but also very rich with noodles and lots of veggies. Pork belly: 9.5/10 Very crispy pork belly. Some of the best pork belly I have ever had. Fatty pork belly goes very well with the lighter vegetables. The service was very good. The workers were very nice. The inside was cool with a modern design. The only thing that was bad (and part of the reason I gave 4 stars and not 5) is the bathroom. Very dark and smelled funny.

The biggest disappointment was the plah pla muek dish. The fish sauce flavor was extremely strong and overly salty, which overwhelmed the dish. I also don't understand why the caramelized pork belly is so popular -- it was much too salty for my taste and had an unpleasant smell. The rabbit green curry was decent, although it was also a bit spicier than expected. Overall, some interesting dishes, but the seasoning was too heavy and salty for me to fully enjoy the meal. Honestly, it was kind of hard to believe this restaurant has a Michelin star based on our experience.

The restaurant closes at 9:30pm, and they were kind enough to let us stay until then! I also enjoyed the ambiance - the interior was quite beautiful, and had many floral decorations, which I enjoyed. For food, I got the hot stone pot, which comes with minced pork and prawns. The dish was not only delicious but also was a large portion size. The rice was crispy on the bottom, and it was nice that the server mixed the dish for me on the table. I would definitely come back to try other dishes! One of my friends got the Pad Kee Mow, and she also very much enjoyed her dish, agreeing that it was delicious and that the noodles were perfectly chewy! I got the French 75 as a drink, and it was very good as well! Overall, I would definitely come back, especially to try the brunch, which I've heard many good things about! Truly a 10/10 experience!

The restaurant was just full so it ended being a good idea. The restaurant has a bit of a fancy vibe with pendant lighting and flowers along the walls. We got the Moco Benedict and the Kai Gata w/ Rainbow Potatoes. The rainbow potatoes that the dishes came with were crunchy and fluffy on the inside, but unfortunately, some of the pieces were super salty. The poached egg on the benedict was overcooked. Parking is tough to find on the street and expensive since it's San Francisco so overall, it's not worth it for us to come back to the area just for this.

The interior is well decorated with Thai culture and with the darker tones of the design, it makes the restaurant feel quite fancy. 4.5/5 - Crispy Pork (Moo Krop) Fried Rice - Very savory fried rice dish. Spiced well and very filling. We didn't expect the pork to be cut so large and mixed into the rice, but it was very tender and easy to still eat. We would've expected the pork to be sliced maybe in half or fourths to make the dish feel like a "pork fried rice" than a fried rice + pork mix, but it still worked well and if you love pork, this will definitely be your fix! 5/5 - Pad Thai - We thought the restaurant nailed this classic noodle dish. Filling portions and did not overcook their noodles. You can taste each component of the dish, which speaks to everything not being under or overcooked.
