Everyone knows Chili's. It is a very popular chain so let's talk about this location. It was a fairly busy Saturday night my wife and I arrived and had to wait a minute or so to be seated. We chose dining over the bar because in our experience the bar gets too overwhelmed and food becomes a low priority and we were starving. We were sat and given menus and told staff would be right with us. Well we waited and waited and then waited some more for 15 minutes. So hang on...Why the 4 stars you ask? Well after that long I managed to get someone's attention and from the results I gather it might have been a manager. She sprung into action and went above and beyond to personally serve us at this point. I further gathered from some uncomfortable looks from staff that we were indeed being served by a manager. If she was not a manager she should be! We ordered margaritas (the holiday themed one and a presidente) and they came out so fast along with complimentary chips and salsa. She had someone else take our food order which came out lightning fast and was amazing but she also continued to check on us as well. She really went above and beyond to salvage our date night. read more

Chili's on Menaul and Louisiana is a great place to grab a bite when you are out and about shopping around the mall and Uptown. Whenever we are wanting to keep it simple at a decent cost with drink options we go to Chili's. There typically isn't a wait and they are laid back where you'd like to be seated. There is a sectioned off area to create a quaint sports bar filled with TVs it's the games on, bar sitting, full bar, tables and is laid back. The only time there is an issue is it gets tight if you go on game day so get there early. The main menu is simple and stand by their signature burgers and fajitas. El Presidente Margarita is a great house margarita and there is other great cocktails to choose from. The wait staff are friendly and fast. The atmosphere and restrooms are clean. Be aware there are tablet-like table games, it charged $1.99 to your ticket and they tend not to work so wasted money. Todays visit was kind of strange. My family and I went this location and we ordered appetizers, which were good. We had the pretzels and Texas cheese fries. Everything was great up until this point. My wife had chicken and steak fajitas which were brought out medium rare. She really likes to have her meat cooked well, and so we simply asked if they could cook them longer. We were not complaining at all, and the server told us that's the way they came out. Ok no problem still, we understand and are glad they can just cook what we had longer. The manager brings out the plate and this time everything was cooked to her liking. The problem was with the manager. She brought them out and rudely said they will cook them however the customer wants, but for our information, that's the way they come out. She said that at least 2-3 times. We simply did not know they came out medium rare, and now it felt the point of "that's how they come out" was being over stressed. We got that the first time our server politely let us know. With that said the fajitas were not very good the presentation is nice, but the food just didn't taste very good. I had the chicken crispers, and they are usually my go to plate, but they were not battered right. The outside looked a little overlooked, but the batter was still runny on the inside. The chicken seemed cooked. I'm still giving two stars because the server was fantastic. He made sure we had plenty of ranch, bbq sauce, and our drinks never ran out. He was awesome. read more

I've never been to Chili's before, and my first time going there was a great experience. I had the half rack baby back ribs with the original BBQ sauce- on the side, I don't like BBQ sauce. I substituted the fries for asparagus and tomatoes. Definitely a good choice! I had the strawberry lemonade- so good! Our server was really nice and our food came really quickly. We got seated right away and the servers were very nice. We had kids of a long wait for our food but had our drinks to keep us busy. My husband and I had mixed drinks and they were very good. His brother and his sister in law had to wait a little longer for their fries but they were fresh and hot. My steak was very good. I tend to go to locally owned businesses but when you have a birthday coupon for a piece of free cheesecake your going to use it! So, yesterday was not my first visit to chilies but i would have to say it was one of the nicest visits I've had. If you've been to one chilies then you've basically been to them all. Burgers, sandwiches, chicken dishes, steaks, pasta.....you know where I'm going here. Yesterday a friend and i went and decided to split the grass fed sunrise burger (comes with an egg) my friend and i both agreed that that burger was very gamey tasting so we didn't eat it. When the waitress found that we disliked our food she gave us another cheeseburger. Ohhh so much better she also states that our burger was going to b comped. Wow! what a great surprise usually the waitstaff just kind of brush off what you say as to "oh well, your problem" and go about their business. The food is decent. It's one of my granddaughters favorite spots and i happen to LOVE the original crispy chicken and the ribs they are my first go to items. Usually we have an ok visit nothing special, nothing new but familiar and tasty. But Yesterday's visit was tasty along with great customer service not because we got a comped burger but because we got excellent customer service!! Wtg chilies you got my vote. Service was good, but the food sucked big time. I advised to not eat a hour or two before closing b/c the food taste old & rubbery like it's been sitting under a heat lamp. It was the only place open past ten pm considering most of New Mexico shuts down at 10. Glad I don't live here b/c the food quality at most places were awful which is too bad b/c NM residents are quite pleasant & friendly. read more

Well Chili's on menaul, I'm sorry to say that you are no match for the Chili's on Central. Everything there is great, especially the service. unLess you want someone to bring you your food with An Eye Roll on the side!! But no worries, just to top it off, you get a non-sincere manager come up and do absolutely nothing-(no manager skills required)! read more

This chilis had horrible service. Store was half empty and took the staff five minutes to have me and a party of 2 at a table. Waitress asked if we wanted appetizers 10 minutes in and never checked on us. I ended up just leaving and going to chipotle across the street. read more

Worst experience ever! 5 in our party. Three of our kids and my husband and I. We show up, waited 45 mins to be seated and when we finally get seated we sit and sit. Went at an off peak time, but the place was fairly busy. The restaurant did not seemed prepared at all. The host seemed disorganized and spoke way too quietly for a busy restaurant. On the way to being seated the manger almost ran into me and gave me a dirty look because I was moving slow (I had surgery 2 weeks ago sorry). Once seated we had to wait a long time for anyone to even take our drink order. Waitress had an attitude and rather than apologize for the wait made excuses. First ones for my dad and I were weak, but the second ones were awesome. Which the first came out that good. Well, I got a couple of gift cards for Christmas. I haven't eaten here since I was a student at UNM, many moons ago. I can see why though. I had the bacon cheese burger with fries, premium presidente margarita, and dessert. The service started out ok but progressively slowed. It's way too loud with fluffy light rock playing over speakers. The waiter couldn't even hear me make my order. So for my next gift card, I'll just hit the happy hour in the bar and go. The food was way too salty and still lacked flavor. Do yourself a favor and skip this place. Try Flying Star up the street. read more

I didn't even notice the food I was eating because the service at this place was so good. The waiter that we had was named Anthony, and oh my oh my, his name should have been perfect. He had charisma, energy, genuine interest- everything that makes a good waiter. As vegetarians, my husband, Bert, and I usually have a hard time finding good meal choices. However, Anthony knew that menu through and through, top to bottom, inside AND out! He suggested to us the bean patty burger, and hands to Jesus, it was the best beany burger this man has ever had. Stopped here since we were staying at the Sheraton that evening, and had been driving for over 7 hours. I'm not usually big on Chili's restaurants but the service we received here, and the food exceded my expectations. We started off with some drinks, and my boyfriend got a Presidente Margarita, and I got a dirty martini. Mine was good, but his margarita was AMAZING, it came with it's own shaker which seriously gives you a good 4 glasses. Our server Kyle, was so helpful in helping us choose a margarita (seeing as they have about 12 to choose from). He was knowledgeable and down to earth, and we shared some good conversations. We ended up ordering a second round of margaritas, which were just as good, and were pleasantly surprised to see they were under 8 dollars a piece! We were in town to purchase a car and stayed at the Sheraton next door. We frequent a Chili's in Denver weekly and love our long time server Tracy. We came in for drinks and although they were kind of weak, our server Janelle didn't disappoint! She was funny, friendly, attentive and made our visit worth it!!! Went to enjoy a dinner with the family. Greeted and sat rather quickly. Server showed up within 10 minutes and introduced himself and his service partner. Good so far. After taking our drink and appetizer order he disappeared. It took 15 minutes to get our drinks, difficult ones at that , teas and water. The appetizer came out in about 20 minutes. Now at 45 minutes we flag down the waiter and ask what might be taking so long, he rudely replied "well they gotta cook the food". I tried to flag down the Manager, who was leaning up against the wall talking to a carryout customer. But he was too involved in his conversation. We decided to leave and asked the bartender for a manager so we could pay for our drinks and appetizer. He came out and asked us if he could help since our food was now ready. Now coming from any regular customer this may sound like an every day gripe. I however have been managing restaurants for 35 years. If I had responded in the manner that the server did to us I would be looking for a job, regardless of how busy and stressed he was. What I did observe was a restaurant that was not operating at it's best, servers looked stressed at least ours was sweating so profusely, he kept wiping his forehead. If we as managers cut the floor a little to much , we must take the initiative to help our staff out. I never saw the manager touch any table in the hour I was at this location, if he had done so, this experience could have been more of a positive one for both sides. read more
