    BBQ Brisket burger with fries
    Craig M.

I have always had a good experience with Chili's and this one did not disappoint. We arrived around 11:30am, a bit after they opened. It was good timining because as our meals arrived you can see a line beginning at the front door. Service was good and server was friendly. Drink came within a reasonable time and the food was not too far behind them. My burger was good, but the brisket was a bit on the dry side so the bbq sauce on the bottom bun was a needed relief. The burger was cooked well and the fries were perfectly seasoned. My wife enjoyed her mushroom Swiss burger, but she ordered it without tomatoes and it came with tomatoes. They offered to remake it, but my wife chose to just remove them and move on. The menu does not say the burgers are made with a brioche bun, so my wife ate the burger without the bread as brioche is too sweet to her. My stepdaughter enjoyed her triple dipper appetizer especially the mozzarella squares and the chicken dippers. Other than the small things, the experience was really good and I would return. The small things are not egregious enough that their star rating should be impacted beyond losing a single star. You could see all the staff was working hard so their hard efforts are worth rewarding.

    Ancho Salmon
    Lynne P.

Ordered the ancho salmon to go. It was raw. I sent the photo along with the complaint to Chili's. I received a )10 gift card . Woo hoo. That won't cover the cost of what I paid for the salmon which was fed to the dog. Applebees is just down the road and they have salmon that is good and is even cooked

Our server was helpful and friendly. We started with the standard chips and salsa. I liked it fine, but the salsa was too spicy for my wife. The server offered some enchilada brown sauce for her instead. It was a nice thought, but my wife disliked the taste and, I must agree, when I sampled it I felt it tasted unsuitable, at least for that purpose. It was Margarita Monday and I would have liked to indulge, but I was driving so I demurred. We both ordered taco salads for our meal. Taco salad is also a Monday special, priced a dollar less than the regular dinner version. Just out of curiosity, after my wife ordered the lunch special with guacamole, I ordered the regular dinner version. Our salads looked about the same, except hers had more ground beef for whatever reason. So my experiment was inconclusive. The taco salad was pretty good, and we brought some home with us for later, so it was a good value these days at around $10 each. Ordinarily I would finish by saying we'll be going back again, but the spicy salsa is probably a deal breaker for my wife, unless we bring our own mild salsa!

It did fill up by the time I left (around 12:30). Was seated promptly in a booth, menu with silverware was provided. Menu is huge, took me a while to find the page with lunch specials. (Might have been nice to point it out.) I ordered the chicken burrito lunch special. Chips and salsa came quickly as did a soda. When lunch came, it was just placed and the waiter came and asked "how it was." My response was I haven't tried it yet. The enchilada was mostly rice, with some chicken, and the cheese sauce on the top was COLD. Pretty much the worst enchilada I remember. I ate 1/2 and waited for the waiter to come so I could get a check. English was a struggle for my waiter. I asked for $1 back from my $20 to cover lunch and tip. Said it a couple times, and he eventually just brought me full change to let me leave a tip. Normally, I would have just rounded up and left the $20, but it was just so bad I couldn't. There were many in the restaurant when I left so I'm going to hope I just picked the wrong item. Maybe I'll try again on a Tuesday night.

Stopped by The Grind House on my way through from Bar Harbor to Boston Logan International…read more I was excited to see an impossible breakfast sandwich on the menu as well as a peanut butter mocha. Seriously, two of my favorite things to see on a coffee house menu. That said the execution was a bit off for me. The Impossible breakfast sandwich was served on an insubstantial bun (the type that is more air than anything) and was overall pretty basic. Their signature sauce mentioned in several dishes, seems to be thousand island or maybe tartar sauce? Either way, it wasn't my favorite. The peanut butter mocha was also a bit of a miss for me. I wasn't a fan of either their chocolate or their espresso (or the peanut butter flavor they used, for that matter). The shop itself is quirky and comfortable. We were able to get a spot by the windows, which was nice and the service was lovely. It would definitely be a good and comfortable spot for working and it could be that had I ordered differently, it may have been more my cup of tea (or coffee, as they case may be). But for what I ordered, it was a bit of a swing and a miss.

I chose a egg and cheese on a croissant bun and a caramel turtle latte. I came here because it had been highly recommended, but I have to say, I expected more, but depends on what you like, right?? Plenty of seating, centrally located in the city, easy parking, and plenty of coffee concoctions to try out. My coffee was missing the whipped cream, but oh well. The froth for the latte was odd, it deflated super quickly, not sure what happened there. And the sweetness was sweet, but it was missing that caramel turtle flavor I thought I was going to get. For me, this was meh. I expected something more decadent. My egg sandwich was good. Basic. Not a real croissant either. It was a croissant bun of some sort. It seemed, well, basic, or economical. But it was filling and the egg was good. I also have to say that when I departed, I smelled like a convenience store that sells those hotdogs on rollers... I smelled all day, I had to wash my hair to get the smell out. I also have to mention the heavy music that was playing. It was obscene and it was loud. So loud it made it challenging to order and I did eat my meal quickly and leave. It was a Tuesday morning around 9 am. But hey I am getting older so this may not have been a good choice for me.

After spending a full month traveling the Maine coast from Bar Harbor to Yarmouth, I found plenty of fresh seafood and scenic charm, but very few dishes that truly woke up my palate. Then I walked into Hey Sailor. This place doesn't hold back. The flavors are layered, intentional, and memorable--each bite feels thoughtfully built rather than simply assembled. There's a balance here between creativity and comfort, with dishes that feel both elevated and satisfying. It's the kind of food that makes you pause mid-conversation because your attention suddenly shifts to what's happening on the plate. In a region where subtlety often takes the lead, Hey Sailor confidently turns up the volume without losing finesse. It's not just good for Maine--it's good, period. They are so busy, at times, they do not accept take out orders. We ordered take out and there was a line right to the door waiting to be seated. The tables were full and it was not even 5pm on Saturday. The waiting area is decent, but can get crowded in the front hallways section. The restaurant is a bit dark, in fact, we had a hard time reading the receipt in the waiting area to complete it. Plenting of seating, a lot of booths. Very clean. LOL The staff members were definitely hustling - moving quickly to serve and clear tables and address people getting take out (us). The food tastes fresh and not overly seasoned. I was surprised at how mild, almost dull some of the meats were, with the exception of the delicious chorizo chimichanga. The pulled pork and the chicken, definitely needed the sauces and salsas that come with it. Warning, if you are not fan of cilantro, you may want to ask before ordering, as some of the items have it automatically added and cooked with it. There is plenty of food with every order, including chips and salsa to go. We definitely will be back and hope to have dinner at the restaurant sometime.
