We had no problem with the food or service, but the wood shelves dividing the booths were disgustingly dirty and dusty! With the sun shining on them it was very noticeable, which does nothing for the appetite. Please clean and dust your restaurant on a regular basis. read more

Worst experience ever. My aunt decided to come here on her birthday to our convenience after paint nite. We all decided to order the 2 for $20 which was pasta for all 6 of us. The server was okay, but so annoying. Like, bruh can you like stop? Talked too much, I was afraid he spat on our food! But he was very nice, and quick. Back to the food... our pasta came out so salty that we didn't even eat it after 2 bites or so. It was the most disgusting shet ever. I could make better pasta than that. We didn't even complain about the food since it was so late already, and we didn't have the energy to, but really? That tab was expensive.. $70. We could've went to an Asian restaurant, but they aren't open that late, and my aunt wanted to take a chance with this place. Oh lord where to start with this location review. I am a former employee of Chilis corporation during my early 20's and server for 2 years under an amazing manager who has now been given a bunch of awards and is running with Brinker International now which most of you may not know, runs Chilis and a couple other chains. So when I go to a bad Chilis it's really disappointing. This location is by far the worst I've ever been to, my boyfriend and I used to eat Chilis 2 for 20 all the time but since moving to Elk Grove we've literally stopped all together because this one is the only one near us and it's so bad. Between terribly wrong to go orders to eating inside with the slowest service of life, to hard uncooked rice and just food that does not taste good! I don't get it. It's like everyone is slacking and it shows. We got tired of bringing home to-go orders that were wrong 24/7, that really broke us away. Inside the restaurant usually doesn't look clean either. 1 Star for our awesome waiters and waitresses the numerous time we have been there. Now onto the Manager: Elk Grove Chilis. So as we have done many times a group of us made plans to Celebrate another of our birthdays at Chilis due to the majority of us living in Elk Grove and just loving the wait staff here, not to mention we have been frequenting Chilis for years. We always pre arrange a DD for those of us who will be consuming a more than one adult beverage. So 2 of us arrive at 3pm, we order food and our first drink. 3 others show up order food and drinks. They stay for a few hours then leave, leaving there cash to pay. Then 4 more people show up and we continue to buy food and drinks. Only 1 person at the table had 6 drinks which was myself. I had a DD AND I had been there since 3 pm and it was 9pm. We were giggly and just having such a good time. We are all in our 40's responsible professional women enjoying each other's company. So the waitress came to give us our bill. I said I think I am going to take one more drink. Her response was " I am so sorry I cant do that", she was visibly uncomfortable. I said really why is that.. She said " because you have already had 6 drinks". I replied, honey I am not driving this is my DD, she lowered her voice and said its not me I can't . I said okay honey, I felt bad for her and did not want her to get in trouble. Then one of the other ladies was a little offended by this and said who directed you to do that. She replied "the manager". He cut the whole table off. Well, that's when the fun Birthday celebration turned sour. The other ladies had only had one or 2 drinks because they arrived later. We were extremely embarrassed and felt that had we been males this would never had happened. To add insult to injury on numerous we have watched numerous groups of males slurring, almost falling off there chairs and never cut off. Also the waiter and I waitress told us the table next to us with 2 males and 2 females exceeded our drink tab and there where 9 of us. Now look if we are laughing to loud or frankly disturbing other clients please tell us we are adults we would tone it down. So we asked to speak to the manager, his name was Robert Birch ( that was the card he gave us all) tall guy glasses. He came over and we asked him directly the reason for us being cut off. He stated and I quote " I am responsible for for your safety and this table has drank to much" so I stated, what is your limit per table per person. So we asked our we loud, he replied no just to much to drink for the table. One of the other ladies stated " This is my first beer and another 2 women stated this is our second drink and we all have DD's. He then stated again that he is responsible for our safety. We notified him that we felt extremely embarrassed and offended. Patrons who were sitting near us came and asked us what happened so we told them and they were in shock. We are so disappointed. Chilis you have lost our money. Many times we have watched a group of males falling down drunk but not cut off. None of us were like that AT ALL and many other patrons including the waiters and waitresses apologized to us and stated that this manager in particular has a history of this and it's driving clients away. Very very disappointed with the whole incident, it ruined my friends birthday. Chilis you owe us an apology for the actions of your manager and his gender biased rules. Managers in most companies are required to attend specific training to prepare them for all types of situations when dealing with the public this manager failed poorly and according to the current wait staff continues to fail. All in our party have been frequenting Chilis for years, some of us for many years as our children grew into young adults. The Manager Robert Birch's actions were truly reprehensible and frankly all of the women in our group felt that this was discriminatory and we will NOT bring our business to this establishment. We all eat dinner and had appetizers as well as a few desserts. We spent a lot of money at the table not just on drinks and we did compensated the waiters and waitress because it was not there fault at all they do not like that manager either. read more

Horrible service from Nick, who wasn't even our waiter but brought one of our dishes out. Apparently I wasn't happy enough about his presence or the food he brought. He made a comment to the effect that "no one seems excited," while looking at me. He left our table, then turned around to come back. He looked directly at my friend, stuck his hand out and said "What's your name? I'm Nick. Nice to meet you!" Completely ignored me the whole time. Don't let the low ratings fool you. This place is great! Great service, delicious food, reasonable prices, clean and comfortable environment. My family and I absolutely love this place! Every table has a kiosk that can pretty much do everything... Play up to 30 games, load reward points, pay your bill, print or email your receipt, ect... What a fantastic idea! Every restaurant should have these things. As much as I love the kiosk, I love the service provided by the waitstaff even more. They are all so friendly, attentive, fast and efficient. It's obvious they really do care about your dining experience and are eager to please. Outstanding waitstaff!!! Service alone is worthy of 5 stars! As for the food, everything I've tried has been delicious. Except for the Texas cheese fries. I suggest they should use melted nacho cheese instead of melted shredded cheese. Not sure why I came back. The service is TERRIBLE. The seating hostess was the only decent there. My daughter and I waiting 15 minutes to get greeting and asked about beverages. Of course by then we were ready to order. So after our food arrived no one asked if we needed a refill or ketchup or anything. I saw some tall guy walking around speaking to customers, the manager?, but he never asked me about my visit or if we needed anything. I will never go back! I have been here a few times in the last 6 months and enjoyed the food and ambience in the bar. Came here for lunch and the game today and there were multiple men sitting at the bar chewing tobacco and spitting into clear cups. They left their clear spit cups on the bar top too. Not only could I see the cups, but could smell it and hear them spitting. My BF talked to the manager and he said they are guest too and there was nothing he could do about it. I understand his predicament but he could have had their cups changed or let them know they were disturbing other guests. Having someone's tobacco spit cup sitting next to my food is unsanitary and foul. read more

Probably my worst experience at a Chili's ever. I'm still sitting in the restaurant an hour and a half after coming in waiting to see if the waiter still works here. Try to do a reorder drinks via their ziosk and it takes over 10 minutes on a Friday night at 10:30 p.m. with nobody at the bar literally. One of the worst customer service experiences I've ever had to suffer through. Came in for a door dash order, some young Hispanic kid told us he'll have it right out in about 10 minutes, no big deal. 15 minutes go by and I see everyone who had placed there to go orders have received there orders and have vacated. I go up to the kid and ask for an update on my TWO ITEM ORDER. He says he's working on it right now and it'll be out in a second, everyone deserves a second chance and maybe he was just having an off night.Next thing I know he comes out with the bag and walks right past me to the lady behind me. I do not appreciate being lied to. At this point it has been 30 minutes of me standing around waiting for my order that I am beginning to question its very existence. I ask the kid again why he'd lie to me and give me a real update on the status and be honest this time, he told me it's coming right out be patient. So that's how chili's employees treats customers now? Y'all just say something they wanna hear just to keep them off your shoulder? And once they catch on to you, y'all just tell them to be patient? If it wasn't for doordash, I would've immediately gotten a refund for the order and taken my business elsewhere. To the short skinny Hispanic kid with the black hair, you stand around for 45 minutes and get lied to multiple times about the wait time and you try to be patient. My wife and I are regular customer at this place we go every sat to eat for years now an D we allways sit in the bar so we can watch tv they have I thank 7 tv well on this day there was golf on 3 on the tvOS and baseball on the other and a car action on another well a customer thought that a car show was not worth watching so he changed all the tvs to golf except one that was on baseball the tvs that he changed the Chanel to were the same golf game it pissed me off so when I got home I call the manager and she blew me off I told her that when does the customer say what is on tv the customer should not touch any property of the restruant it's not there place she said I should have told the bar person I said no the customer should have asked for the tv to be turned to another Chanel he is not the only one there and no one customer should run you restruant I will be getting ahold of corp on Monday and really complaining this is not the first time this has happen this was just the final straw read more

Just had the worst service of my life was in there for almost an hour waiting for appetizer when I asked about them the person said i don't know I just bring the food out. Then our server comes out and says she never put the order in even though we had already ordered our food. I just ate here today, and I have to say it was one of the worst experiences I have had. It started when I walked in the door. The host had no sign of a smile and was not very friendly. We got sat, and then our server walked past us. He was talking and greeting us but didn't look at us and literally walked away from the table. Every time our server was talking to us or asking us a question, he was walking past. Never actually stopped to talk, other than when he took our order. I found this very disrespectful. Then our food came...I ordered steak fajitas. They were puny and extremely salty. Extremely. I was given toppings on the side, one of which was cheese. There was not even a pinch of cheese in the little dish and it was clearly older cheese because it was very shiny and hard. My plate that had rice and beans was disgusting, the beans are placed in a small bowl on the plate and the plate had dried spilt bean juice. Being a server myself, I would never think to walk a plate out to a table that had crusty bean juice on it when beans aren't supposed to physically touch the plate. We had ordered an appetizer and the plate for that was never at all taken off our table. None of our other dishes, for that matter, were cleared. When we paid, the server grabbed payment while walking past and said "I'll be back, ok?" Once we paid, he brought back my change from the cash and told me he would find me one more dollar. This is not the first time I have had a dissatisfying experience at this Chili's, but it is indeed the last. read more

My family and i went to this establishment for a birthday and at first everything was okay. Marques was our waiter for the evening. He talked really low and we could barely understand him. We kept having him repeat what he said. But when half the party was gone they decided that, that was the perfect time to come out and say happy birthday to the b-day girl. i am very pissed off and i didn't appreciate the fact that when i told Maria the manager all she had to say was "Im sorry, do want another ice cream?" And we were ready to leave we didn't get our check because the waiter never came back so we had to ask someone else, and then we still couldnt pay because he left without letting us pay so we went and PAID AT THE BAR. My friends and I went to Chili's to watch Monday Night Football. Being responisble we took a cab and planned on drinking while the game was on and leaving after. We ordered food and drinks, in a 3 hour time we each had 4 drinks and ate all of our food. When asking the waitress for our final round she had cut us off stating she wanted us to, "get home safe" due to the growing amount of check points set up to catch drunk drivers. I told her we are taking a cab home and that I appreciated her concern. She went on to tell me it was her judgement call and she couldn't take it back. Then she went in the back and talked about us to the waitresses, I know this because my friends were at a table near us and his waitress told his table that we had been cut off and she had not agreed with the "judgement call". I'm not sure what the policy is at Chili's for drink limits and such however, I did not appreciate being "cut off" for invalid reasons and my responisibility as an adult to be questioned by someone who did not even take the time to attempt to hear us out. We were not biligerant or obnoxiously loud we were watching the game and the general c'mon man's and normal level of excitment was occuring, but very spread out. Then, to go in the back and talk about how she had cut us off well that was the last straw! I did not appreciate her behavior she was unprofessional and rude. At the end of it all I will not come back to this Chili's due to the service, so if this is actually read by a manager please do something about your staff! This was by far the most degrading BAR and grill experience I have ever had. Oh and I'm also taking the corporate survey that's how completely disgusted I am by the actions of this waitress! read more

Service was very slow and waited for almost an hour for some house Salads, soups, and two burgers. And we asked for no mustard on the burgers and it came with it then asked for another bottom bun which took about 20 minutes. And we also asked for no cheese and again it came with it. Also though our waitress was nice she was very forgetful in remembering more drinks and sides of ranch etc. In addition we also heard some of the waitresses cussing to the cooks which don't get me wrong they deserved it for being so slow but still shouldn't be said in an environment where kids are all around. Slow.... We had not eaten at chilies in about a year or so and since I won a gift card we decided to give it a go. They've redone the interior and its nice inside. Appears to be some new items in the menu and stuff I remembered. We walked in at 450pm seted in 5 minutes and the waiting began. I couldn't tell if our server was slow or if kitchen was slow. Either way we didn't walk out of their until 625!!!!! really, 1hr 30 min for a family of 5 to eat at chilis with average comfort food. See ya in another couple of years. read more

This place is filthy and dirty. The floor are sticky and greasy with bad service. Trash everywhere. The bar is filled with bunch of alcoholics that probably don't noticed the bad quality of food. Management clean this place up! All the servers are way too laid back, had to tell the lady to clean the table so we can sit down. Once sat, we waited then had to wait for the server to wipe the table. Hella stingy on the meat. Order the fajitas trio and they literally minimized to a one piece fajita order. Waited 40 mins and when they brought out the plate, it wasn't sizzling. Bad sign that the plate was just sitting back in the kitchen. I ordered chicken, double steak fajitas and it was a joke what they brought out, doesn't look like anything like what's in the menu. Looked like a kids meal. Stingy with the meat. Thought I would take advantage of the great sunday night special that chili's has during football season while i was out in Elk Grove. I decided to sit at the bar to order beer and wings. It took the only bartender working five minutes to take my order. 15 minutes later the food came out but i still had no beer. A few minutes after getting my food the beer finally arrived. No problem with the food or beer, just the service. I asked to check out and received the bill but the waitress never came to get my money. I finally just dropped cash on the counter and left. Came in to have dinner and some beers. Wanted to sit in the bar area. There were about 4 or 5 tables that were empty but they still had the last customers dishes on the table. We stood by the table waiting for someone to clean it. One waiter said he be back. Lady bar tender didn't say anything just looked at us as we waited. My only problem is that their floor IS SO SLIPPERY that I felt like I was taking my life in my hands just walking back to the bathroom! Where do I begin... Excited to see the new tablet ordering/payment system, but not anymore...a scam to obtain more income. BEWARE of the tablet, do not turn it over to your kids for entertainment, they charge for the games. Oh, and the food ordering system was not operational yet, but it managed to order a game just fine... I was with a very responsible 13 year old, she always asks before ordering anything and she did not see she was being charged. I brought it to the attention of our waiter, she said, sorry it is stated before you start. Now to discuss my meal, do not order a salad, not only was it primarily iceberg lettuce, it was brown. The Buffalo Chicken on it was ok, but probably two bacon bits and an equal number of blue cheese crumbles. In ordered the classic sirloin medium rare. Upon receiving my meal I cut into it and it was well done. I sent it back and our waitress came back after sending it to the kitchen and told me that the chef was positive it wasn't over cooked. That was definitely the wrong thing to do. This place is hit or miss just as the one in Natomas. We have had really good food and service on some occassions and sometimes not so good. Naturally we love it when our meals are hot and tasty, portions are generous, and service is fast and friendly. The other half of the time our server is missing in action or chatting with other servers, or we have to keep asking for drink refills, napkins, or burger is hot while fries are cold. Today I was given a burnt piece of garlic toast placed face down on my plate thinking I wouldn't notice the burnt taste. We roll the dice everytime we go to either Chillis locations.
