I don't recommend using there take out as I have twice and both times they have NOT GIVEN the order that I Have placed! There is always a dish missing! I have Complained twice ! This Chili's was dirty. It had the intercity diner feeling going for it. My wife and I were in a rush and wanted to get the 2 for 20 deal the we had at the other Chili's in El Derado hills. We decided this was closer and considering most chains are almost identical transplants we wouldn't even notice. WRONG! This place was gross. We got sat in the very back corner booth perpendicular to the kitchen. It was filthy, the seats for our booth was ripped and it looked like they had neglected deep cleaning since they opened. Our tables were so sticky and the highchair they gave us for our son was still covered in a mess from the last child. We politely requested to move to another booth and they obliged. The second both had intact cushions however it was still the kind of dirty where you don't want to use the silverware after it touches. Anyway... The onion rings came out over fried. They bread was black on parts of it and the majority of the breeding had the burned peanut oil color and taste. No amount of ranch dressing helped make them edible. I got the chicken crispers and my wife got the fajitas. Her fajitas were okay minus the massive portions of chicken that were partially seasoned and then thrown on top of what looked liked two whole onions worth of grilled onions and only two or three strands of green pepper.... It was really poorly presented on dirty wooden skillet coasters. My chicken crispers were soggy and over saturated with oil that was like warm. I was extremely dissatisfied. By far the grossest Chili's with the worst food ever. My waitress was polite and friendly, I felt bad for her considering she probably had to deal with the upset customers all the time. Had my usual, chicken and shrimp fajitas, chimichuri sauce and all the fixings, combo appetizer and some strawberry lemonade. It's a chain restaurant, so looks about like all chili's do, some conversation pieces in the wall, wife variety of food to cater to all tastes. Good was good, as always. Chicken and shrimp must be getting expensive, because they are half the size they used to be, meaning half as much too. Same price, so just a no,or quibble here. Dominating the table are their new checkout machines, which not only take payments, but can do ordering, fill out questionaires, print a receipt. So, a dream for corporate types. Like the checkout line at Wal-Mart, increasingly marginalizing service for automation. Philosophy question: who is going to be able to buy the already too expensive food when there are no one with jobs, because these clever machines made them largely irrelevant? Nice convenience, but remember, you are in the PEOPLE business, not the "slingng food" business. These machines are convenient, but at what cost... Let the servers earn their money. read more

I'd give it less than one star if possible. Me and my fiancé walked in around 7:30pm, where we found the hostess that was less than social with us (cleaning seemed more important). After we were seated, we never were greeted by our server, and it had been about 15 minutes. We decided we wanted to know what we were gonna order before she even came out, that way we would only have to wait one more time. Our server, Danielle, walked over and dropped a pile of silverware and napkins at the edge of our table then we had to tell her what we wanted to drink. I had said we knew what we wanted to order after ordering our drinks and she said "I have to get the other tables order" then mumbled "I circle around". After another block of time, she came back to take our order, we both ordered and she entered it and walked away without saying anything. It's now been about 25 minutes and I have not seen her do anything except socialize. Our food was delivered by a very friendly blonde woman (Right around 8:40). Server no where in site. No tip for her and most likely will not be coming back. There was no hospitality, no one in the restaurant to keep her busy. Needs better customer service skills. read more

Once you get out of the major cities its seems like people really feel comfortable with sameness. The same 10 stores and 2 coffee houses and 7 restaurants. Chili's fits right into the model. The Folsom operation is the same as the one in Daly City and San Jose and Las Vegas - exactly. Mind numbingly cheery wait staff serving you gigantic portions... Ive heard that Chili's wont even release the nutritional information unless you absolutely insist. We selected "ring bell" because Michael wanted to to the delivery driver. With our ring doorbell, Michael saw her coming up the walk and when she placed our food in the rail she started sprinting back to her car. He opened the door and told her he had a tip for her. She said "I'll come back for that." Then she asked if we were feeling well, doing okay, he said yes then asked if she was doing well. Great delivery service. Totally impressed by this young person. We have gone to this location many times. The service is a little below average what I would expect. They also have those little machines that you can order food from right at your table. The food is good, although once they brought me some overcooked asparagus that was so dried out they reminded me of sticks. They did refund me and take it away though. The food is decent for the price but it's not my favorite place to go. I mainly like to go here when I'm in the mood for fajitas. I'm not sure about the chips though, mainly because I suspect they're genetically modified. Then again most places still use GMOs. read more

Usually I don't take the time to review chain restaurants because the food and service are usually mediocre. What's the point right? I was just at Chili's for lunch with a group of 33+ people. We received OUTSTANDING service even though our party was so large. My ice tea was brought to me very earlier on and refilled very promptly. Our appetizers were brought out quickly and our food orders were taken very quickly as if we were dining in a small group. Our server (sorry I can't remember her name) was quick with our food and drinks. She was super polite, not to mention really pretty. :) I was pleased to find that Chili's has a guilt-less menu. I got a very tasty grilled tilapia filet served on a cedar plank. Super low carb and low fat! It was served with some kind of salsa, nothing spectacular but really tasty. only ~$11. Comes with wild rice... I felt satisfied, not super hungry, and truly guiltless. Overall I was super pleased with my lunch, unfortunately most of the Chili's menu isn't guilt-less. I am truly not a calorie counter, but I am doing this weight loss bet and I was super happy to find something that taste good, made me feel good after the meal, and reasonably priced (for a work lunch anyway) So ... try the guilt-less menu. read more

We went in there yesterday after church for a quick family meal. We had not been there in quite some time but we have always liked their queso dip. This time, we were disappointed as it was not as thick as usual. In fact, it was quite runny and there was not as much meat involved. My daughter and I each got a half rack of Texas ribs. The portions were quite small, about four bones. However, they were meaty and tasty. Staff typically tries as well as you can expect but our server was a bit hard to understand as she had a very soft voice. For a Sunday afternoon, we were surprised to find this place nearly empty. This place is great for happy hour Monday through Thursday. Good quality food for the price. Service is slow majority of the time when restaurant is dead. Location is right off of Highway 50 and next to the movie theater which is convenient when waiting for a movie to start or getting off the freeway after a long days work. We have dined here before, and always liked it. The food was good, and the service was great. But, another customer, seated in a nearby booth, had his dog with him. The dog sat on the bench. When I questioned our server about the dog, she said that the owner claimed it was a service dog, and thus legal to take to a restaurant. Service dog? It was too small to be a service dog. Very attentive, great personality came and brought us refills extra napkins before we even had a chance to ask for them. We've been to multiple Chili's Restaurants and none are as bad as this one. The tables and floors are a mess. The bar is full of dirty plates and cups. Had to ask multiple times for napkins, straws and utensils. Employees seemed like they did not care at all. Manager just walked around like everything was okay MIND YOU THE PLACE WASN'T BUSY AT ALL. To top it off I had two strands of hair in my first plate of food. Sent the food back and they remade it. They brought out the new plate and it had bacon on it when I requested no bacon. We also had five different employees to wait on us. Just all in all a big disappointment. read more

I called at 8 last night and asked if I needed a reservation. They told me that I didn't need one, that they didn't expect to be busy at all, and that they closed at 11. After driving AN HOUR to get to the chilis, two hours before closing, they refused to sit my family of 7. They had barely any other people in the restaurant. I am pissed because I called to make sure they could seat us and they lied and made me drive a whole hour for nothing. My kids and I really enjoy this restaurant. We can ride our bikes here and often visit after games. We generally sit in the bar area...the kids love the game pads or we watch a bit of a game or race on the many TVs. The food is great and we have always had amazing service in the bar. I have not had as good of luck in the main restaurant. I have dined in there twice and both times and our appetizers arrived WITH our meals and drink refills were few and far between. Our waiter was definitely high on some kind of drugs or just so miserable working that he didn't care. Then the food came out we got burgers and there was so much grease the lettuce absorbed it, and still there was enough grease to pour out of the burger that could fill a cup. The side of pickles we're old and dry. We haven't been to chilis in over 5 years and don't plan on going back after that. Huge fan of the chain. I've been to this location a couple of times since it's the closest one to me. I've never had a bad experience at this location. The employees are super friendly and efficient. Probably one of the best customer service experiences I've had at a huge chain restaurant. I'd like to flag up front that parking can get a little scarce and you may need to park a little farther than expected. Definitely, check out their happy hour! Although it can get pretty busy during that time, the prices for certain drinks and food are awesome and it's better than paying full price. I highly recommend checking out this location. When we arrived there wasn't anyone at the front so we waited awhile to see if anyone would come. It didn't seem like there was anyone stationed there after waiting for some time so we made it a little obvious as if we were looking for them. After being sat down we took a look at the menus and they were sticky and even had salsa on one of the pages. Our waiter noticed as my husband looked at it and said "that.. is gross" yet he just looked at it and continued as if nothing should be done. If anything, cleanliness is the only thing I'm pretty vocal about. A restaurant shouldn't be dirty. Which brings me to our cups, they were also sticky and had pieces of what seemed to be lemon glob. It took awhile for our order to be taken but at least their manager was kind enough to check in on us and was very polite. The food was alright. My husband had the mango tilapia and I had the grilled chicken salad. It wasn't Instagram or snapchat worthy taste wise, but it could have been worse. The tilapia was on the soft side according to my husband and my salad wasn't too crisp either. I feel like they had a bad day and I would like to give them another shot.
