That was fine, but the meal overall was just okay. My husband ordered his usual fajitas with chicken and beef. The chicken was decent, but the beef was inedible--he tried to eat it but eventually gave up. Our son ordered the kids' cheese pizza with fries. The pizza was good, but the fries were over salted. Chili's used to be a favorite place of mine, but they've really gone downhill. They have an odd seating policy where half the restaurant can have empty tables but if you refuse to sit in the bar (not every customer wants to sit in a bar), they might decide to make you wait 15-20 minutes or more for a seat when it is totally unnecessary. I visited this location last week on a weekday for happy hour. The customer service was great and the manager was even walking around making sure everyone was well taken care of. My waitress was super attentive and nice (I can't remember her name but she had a cute reddish/burgundy hair cut into a bob). My food came exactly how I asked it to be prepared and it was definitely giving - the cook felt like cooking that day ! It's Chili's. The taste are the same from location to location however, this location does it a little bit better than my local Chili's. I found the drinks to be made well, without too much sugar. Additionally, the egg rolls have much more filling than my local spot, the server was fast and got it done and even helped us to save a few bucks by Suggestions. She was fantastic. The one downside was the hostess stand. I literally stood there for nearly 10 minutes without a greeting. No "I will be right with you" or "Give me a sec". Nothing at all. She buzzed around back-and-forth and sat a couple of tables and I just stood there at the podium with my kid. I was a single diner, my order was taken right away, the server brought me chips and salsa even though I did not order it because he saw on the table computer that I had the reward, I had wanted to order them to go when I was ready to leave. It took close to 30 minutes for my food to arrive. I watched 2 other family diners get their food before me and they arrived about 10 minutes after I did. I finally had to ask my server to check on my order and even then it took another 10 minutes to arrive. My chicken crispers were over cooked (gee, I wonder why) so a lot crunchier than usual. I had asked to order soup instead of the mac-n-cheese and was told sure but never advised that it would cost a dollar extra, I feel they should notify you of this information. When I was ready to leave, I asked the server if I could get the chips and salsa to go, in the past when I have asked this, the server would take the chips and salsa and put them into a bag and bowl for me, this server simply handed me a bag and a bowl. When I tried putting them into the bag from the tray, they spilled all over the place so I ended up leaving both the chips and salsa there at the table (and on the floor, sorry). Anyway, I have eaten at Chili's a lot of times in the past but this day will stand out as a bad service day for me and next time I will ask a lot sooner for the status of my order. read more

We got the classic margaritas for $4; the iced one was better than the blended one since it goes down easier. We also got the new espresso martini for $12; it was pretty strong and kind of bitter, not sure if I'd get it again. Additionally, we tried the triple tequila trifecta which had a sugar rim that paired really well with the drink. We also got the triple dipper platter with the southwestern egg rolls, fried mozzarella, and honey-chipotle chicken tenders. I'd highly recommend the chicken tenders and mozzarella. We've been to this location plenty times and usually don't have the best experience. Today was the best service we have ever had at this location and it was all thanks to Brenda! She was so energetic, funny, knowledgeable, and efficient. She had so many tables at one time and she made sure each one had exactly what they needed before they even had to ask. The food is always good, we tried the Nashville mozzarella sticks as Brenda said they were great so we gave them a try and loved them! So this chilis of course is just your typical chilis! My husband stopped in because we had a long trip down to SoCal and wanted some much needed grub! Living in Oakland we just don't have chain restaurants very close by so whenever we come down to SoCal where you have them on every corner we take advantage! This chilis is really the only one currently open in Moreno Valley unfortunately since the pandemic things have changed because of staff shortage! So when my husband and I walked in we were greeted by the friendliest Hostess Jahmeelah! She was so outgoing and friendly and made the experience really pleasurable! I would rank the review a one star if it wasn't for our server Brenda. She was the sole highlight of my experience at this chilis. I went Friday evening and I felt that had I decided to get there a little bit later my experience would have been even worse. (We will get to why I'm glad we got there early) It took 45 mins to get our appetizer. Which isn't a super big deal because Brenda took the time to check on us and to update us on her battle with the kitchen. The manager did not once check on us and it felt she was avoiding our area completely. The feeling from the restaurant was as-if a couple of employees either called off or the scheduling was mis managed. I noticed that there were huge delays in food coming out and people being seated as there were multiple open tables in our area And multiple parties waiting to be seated. Most of which were complaining about not being seated and were contemplating leaving. I'm not someone who leaves long reviews but I feel like I always have an issue with the service at this specific chilis. A restaurant should flow and should have no dead time whatsoever if there are people waiting to be seated. I feel like a swap of management is needed here as I did not feel like the employees were supported in anyway and were always very nervous to talk to any of the customers in fear of beating screamed at for something out of their control. I kept receiving apologies from multiple employees (including Brenda) but not once did a manager stop by to assure that the issue was being resolved. I have worked in the service industry myself and understand that sometimes not every issue can be solved on your own and that a great management team can truly make a difference. I loved Brenda so much and she alone deserves 5 stars as she is definitely a class act and someone I would love to work with or be apart of my team. Shame on whomever the GM is here. Over all typical for Chili's food. Only reason I go is because you can usually find a seat. Tried a couple other places in area and could not get seat. Overall it is what it is.
