I dont usually go to chain restaurants but I visited to support a friend who works there. I ordered the 3 For Me with chips n salsa and shrimp pasta as the entree. Oh and I got the featured drink but I forget the name. The drink was yummy and not too sweet. I love the chips, theyre light and crunchy and a nice portion, I had leftovers! The pasta was decent, the shrimp not overcooked. The service was great and not just because they're my friend, they were very busy serving others and gave the same level of care to each table! The manager even came around and asked if I was okay and I always appreciate that level of customer service! The ambiance was typical of Chili's and each server did a good job of cleaning up after each patron left. With the drink and the 3 For Me special, I spent $24 so I'd say it's a great value! I've ordered the Big Mouth Bites from Chili's Grill & Bar multiple times and it's usually the one thing I always get because I genuinely enjoy it. However, this last experience was honestly unacceptable. As soon as I picked up my order, I checked it before leaving the restaurant and noticed the bacon on the sliders was extremely pink -- almost a hot pink color -- and clearly looked undercooked/raw. I immediately walked back inside and showed the manager, who was standing at the counter. His exact response was basically, "Yeah, that is pink. We don't make it in house though, that's just how it comes." I explained to him that I order this item regularly and have never once received bacon that looked like that. Regardless of where it comes from, bacon should not look raw and bright pink. Instead of showing any concern, apologizing, or offering any actual customer service, he acted annoyed that I even brought it up. He just said there was "nothing they could do about the color" and offered a refund with an attitude. Not once did he apologize. What makes this even more upsetting is that I'm pregnant. Eating undercooked pork is a serious health concern, and the fact that the manager acknowledged the bacon was pink but showed absolutely no concern or empathy was honestly shocking. Mistakes happen, but the way this situation was handled was incredibly rude and dismissive. A simple apology and basic professionalism would have gone a long way. read more

My office went to lunch and the ribs were great, I think it's the BBQ sauce! Our wait person, Jordan was great!. He was knowledgeable of the menu, made suggestions and made sure my coupon for free chips & salsa was not charged on the receipt. The restaurant was not very crowded at lunch time, this was a plus, because my party consisted of 5 and we ordered our lunch and did not have to wait a long time for the food to arrive. I respect the hustle. Now, let me be clear: I came for the Triple Dipper, no shame in it. That glorious trinity of sliders, Southwest egg rolls, and mozzarella sticks has lured many a man into Chili's, and I was no exception. But I was also scoping out this new location--wanted to see if they had the same soul as my hometown spot. Our waiter? Solid gent. A real "used to party, now I serve" kind of guy. Gave off the energy of someone who once lost a shoe at an outdoor concert and didn't go back for it. Respect. He was polite, apologetic about delays (which weren't his fault), and kept checking in, which I appreciated. Drinks took a while--too long. The only positive part of our visit was our waiter, Nate, who was very attentive and did his job well. Unfortunately, the rest of the experience was extremely disappointing. The food was terrible. Our first salsa came out in a to-go container and was very runny, tasting like watered-down tomatoes, so we sent it back. The replacement wasn't much better. The enchilada soup was inedible -- it was almost entirely liquid, tasted old, and reminded us of soup from the bottom of the pot. We were seated near the bar and could clearly see that area. The floor was filthy, and the outside of the cooler was dirty as well, which honestly made us question the cleanliness of the kitchen. The restaurant and bar were not busy at the time, so there was no excuse for these conditions. To top it off, my friend's entire order was incorrect. Social media got to me and I ended up coming to Chilis to try the triple dipper. I'm just not the biggest fan. The chicken tenders and sliders were good. Mozzarella sticks were a little bland. My friend's son got wings and they were not cooked all the way. They offered him something in replace and he ordered a kids pizza. I don't like to give bad reviews... this one sat on my shoulders for a long time and I could not let it go. We visited Chili's @ 5790 W. Loop 1604 in San Antonio on 06 October 2023. We frequent this location often because it's close to home and usually pretty good. This particular evening somebody was obviously sleeping at the wheel. We choose a booth near the bar to have a drink. The drink was cold, tasted great and prepared properly. Initially we ordered the chips & salsa and that came out with lightening speed (very impressed). But next we ordered the Triple Dipper appetizer (cheeseburger sliders, mozzarella sticks and boneless wings). They were not busy that evening and it was around 10pm so I did not see any reason for our order to be delayed. We waited more than 30 minutes for an appetizer and when it arrived it was cold and did not look very appetizing. The cheese on the cheeseburger sliders was cold (not melted), the bread was hard and dry, the mozzarella sticks were warm and the boneless wings were cold. I know that it was not the waitress fault because she came to our table a couple times to check on us. After waiting so long we asked for the manager and showed him our unappetizing cold plate. He offered to have it prepared again, but we refused because we were ready to leave. Additionally, we asked for a side of pickles and there was something in there that did not belong there. What started out as a nice little pitstop to chill and have a relaxing evening turned into a pretty disappointing experience. My review is purely based on a curbside order. We order the chips and salsa and an order of the skillet chili queso. We had been looking forward to this for quite some time as it had been a while since we ate Chili's appetizers. Chips were great and so was the salsa. The bag of chips given to us seemed to be on the small size. Also, the chili queso portion was way small. We were given to small containers that were only a little over half full. Multiple people confirmed our thoughts on this. Everything tasted well, just the portions were smaller than expected. Keep in mind when ordering these two. This was my first time at a Chili's in over a decade. I was with my husband and 3 year old. We walked in on a Tuesday night without reservations. We were told it was a 20 minute wait, we didn't mind. We waited longer than 20 minutes, but considering we were walk-ins, we didn't mind. I wasn't expecting much from this establishment. My husband told me the food was comparable to Denny's quality. We were seated and the server (who was also the bartender) apologized as she explained they were under staffed. To her defense it was super busy for a Tuesday night. She was quick and doing her best. We should have read the other reviews. We tried to give this location another chance with it being the closet Chili's to us. Everything was messy. Our nachos came out SO burnt. The sever told us he tried to have it remade before bringing it out to us because he thought it was burnt as well.. We had no side plates or dipping sauce with our other appetizer. Then the sever brought our Triple dipper and set it down at another table, walked away, THEN picked it up taking it to the back before bringing it back out to our table.. the server said she could have it remade, then brought the same one back out 2 minutes later.It looked pretty gross after all that. My review is solely based on customer service because we didn't even get to eat here. Walked in, large crowd of people waiting at the front. The entire place had 2 seats that were occupied, the rest empty. The bar had 1 person sitting at it. We weren't greeted, nothing. Eventually I flagged someone down and asked if we could sit up at the bar. Apparently there was a 45 minute wait to go to the bar and a 60 minute wait to be seated at a table. All the families that were waiting at the front looked so confused, a couple people were complaining because there was literally no one in the restaurant. The couple next to us had been standing there waiting for 20 mins just for someone to acknowledge them because they placed an order on their phone over an hour ago and it still wasn't ready in the takeout area. We don't dine here often but when we do, it's not a bad experience. The deals are great and the food is always good. The last time we went, our waitress was great. Most of the time, only the hostess has bad customer service. My boyfriend and I usually get the 3 for $10 deal which comes with an appetizer, an entree, and a drink. Their chicken tortilla soup is a great appetizer! And their bacon burger is juicy and flavorful! My boyfriend likes their pasta as well. The Molten Lava Cake here is a MUST. It's so good! The service was abhorrent and the food was inedible. We arrived at 5:30 Saturday because we needed to avoid a rush. We sat for 25 minutes without being acknowledged. I went back to the front and 5 minutes later someone came to take drink order. We ordered drinks and appetizers. The appetizer took another 25 minutes. At 6:30 I spoke to the manager. At 6:40 the $28 steak arrived that was ordered medium rare well done. They took it back and put the plate with the rest of the meal somewhere and remade the steaks. We got the cold sides from the first plate at 7:05. The manager then came back and made the excuse that the kitchen was swamped. It wasn't at 5:30 or even 6. Don't go here if you want a good meal. As much as it wasn't a long wait at all, the front reception was just sitting in the booth looking at their phone then realized their was people walking in. Got seated, and ordered our food. Got most of the food out, and then was missing my sons ribeye, it was supposed to be medium rare. This is where it went downhill... my son cut through it and it was raw and still had blood a bit and barely the top was darkened. Asked the lady who was helping other table if we can have it recook, front reception came with her and was like was it supposed to how? I said medium rare and she said it looks rare like you asked. woo.... this one had me looking at her, no if you heard me again we had asked for medium rare not RARE! She goes oh okay we'll let me tell them, then comes back and says do you want them to make a new one? No, you already stated in the back steak was taking a bit of them i'm not gonna let my son wait even longer. So I said no just use the same meat but cook it longer we already had to wait long enough. while all of this is happening, I have kept my calm and spoke respectfully. I get it if it's close to closing time and they are extremely busy, but there was all sorts of open tables around us. It was barely 7:40. I can now understand why the reviews on here are not great. But given it's close to home. I strongly suggest management needs to be more attentive, and be better. Train your staff better, have monthly meetings or so.
