Terrible experience. After calling to figure out where our food was, staff answered and hung up. We called back, got ahold of a staff member and they told us they would have the food to us in a minute--it just came out of the kitchen. 10 minutes later we go in and see our food just sitting there waiting to be taken out. Though this was inconvenient, it wasn't the end of the world. We leave without checking--big mistake--only to find multiple things missing. Worst part, the items missing were unhighlighted on the receipt. Simple double checking by the staff would have shown the order was missing items. I call to get a refund and the manager, Bryan, was very hesitant to give me a refund and only gave us a refund on the items we were missing--understandable, but frustrating none the less. To top it all of, as my partner was eating her salad, a bug is noticeably crawling out of the salad (see photo). I call Bryan back, no answer and the automated messaging system says something along the lines of "thank you for calling, goodbye". I call again, Bryan answers directly and is hesitant again to give me a refund, questioning what bug is in the salad. Well, here it is. I understand it's a busy night, but this was awful. I'm over this location.... Been having difficulty with orders being correct and ready on time for take out for awhile but today was the last straw. Ordered online at 6:05 with pick up time around 6:45pm this evening. My husband gets to the restaurant and checks-in via the mobile app with his parking spot. After 15 min, no ones has responded, no one has come out to check on him or bring our order. He goes inside and gets the order (this completely defeats a "curbside service," but whatever). When he gets home, the drinks are all incorrect except for one. Our two Cajun chicken pastas are both missing the chicken, one of them is missing the bread and looks like it has been eaten from already. Best part, I go to open the container and it's ice cold. When I called the restaurant, I had to wait 5 minutes on hold before anyone even answered. When I told the gentleman what had happened, he said he could take my name and number and have the manager call me back. What did I want, a refund or a recook? Honestly both would be nice at this point, I'm starving and have food I can't eat. He says they are "busy," and I can wait on hold or the manager can call me back. Currently holding for 10 min to see what the solution is but this is some awful service recovery for an underwhelming order. Won't be coming to this location again. Oh, and the check in online says only a 7min wait time, so I'm not sure how "busy" it is tonight. read more

Going to give a mixed review. Good side, the food. The bad, some service issues. This was a curb-side service. Let's dive in.... Wife's Caribbean Chicken Salad was right on the mark, thank you, she appreciated it so much! Our Triple Dipper unfortunately was cold, but still nothing our home microwave couldn't fix. The advertised picture of the Triple Dipper is different from the default selections when using their app, so I ended up with "Awesome Blossom Petal" onion scraps, instead of the pictured "Southwestern Eggrolls" (sad). Buyer beware. Still I split this plate with my brother, and we both felt full after. We also had free chips and guacamole, thanks Chili's, we appreciate the loyalty program. My order was placed on the Chili's App and submitted at 5:55, and received an email at 5:57 saying we would have your order ready at 6:20. While waiting in the car a good 25 minutes curb-side after the order was due, I did get to complete payment and was looking at the receipt Gratuity Guide (see picture). Those numbers are a bit inflated. Therefore my tip is going to be a bit deflated. All in all, had good food and the girl who delivered the orders was pretty busy and was friendly so I have to thank her for the hard work. Thanks for your service, but sorry I couldn't give you more. Two other fast food restaurants we had the previous evenings fared much worse. EDIT: I've come to realize why the Gratuity Guide was higher than expected. I had free chips and dip. Went to eat Sunday. We walked in and looked around because there were people waiting. I asked for a table for 2 and the girl taking names said it would be a 45 minute wait. I asked why since there was only about 20 people sitting and she answered it was because the kitchen staff was backed up. We could have gone anywhere but we chose this place. I usually don't leave bad reviews but this one just cannot be left unheard. I was confronted by the server Carlos at the Alamo ranch location on 10/19/24 Saturday night. He came up to my table after I paid and said that the amount of tip I left was crazy and was offering to give me back my tip while reaching in his pocket. I thought I miss heard him at first but then he clearly repeated himself and continued offering to refund my tip trying to insult me as if I needed my money back. This all happened while the server he was training was standing right beside him not saying one thing. The manager on duty whose name was also Carlos excused both servers from the table and then told me he will "talk" to Carlos. I then contacted the store and spoke with Manager Carlos he said that talked to the server and said if this continues corrective action will be done, to me this should be immediate corrective action or a fireable offensive due to being extremely unprofessional and really sets a bad image for this chilis. I do enjoy the food and atmosphere at Chili's. I don't know anyone who hasn't been at least once. But for those who haven't ever been, the chain restaurant doesn't change much from location to location. It's just a comfortable place to grab some decent food. The thing I like about Chili's is the bar area where you can either walk up and sit at the bar or wait to be seated at a table or booth. It's a really good place to watch games and grab a bite. One of the cool things a lot of restaurants are doing is a reverse happy hour and Chili's is no exception. The menu doesn't change much. Your typical burgers, sandwiches and salads. Some of which are really good. They are popular for their chicken crispers, but they have a really good variety that could satisfy everyone. The one thing I've noticed over the years is the change in portion sizes. We used to get the Triple Dipper and share it, but I've noticed the size of the southwest rolls have really gotten smaller! On my last visit, we had a good waiter. He was almost too helpful, if you know what I mean. Maybe we should have some sort of code word to let them know, "You're doing a great job, now let us eat already!" ;-) read more

We actually came here for an early lunch. The restaurant opened at 11 I believed were here around 11:45. There was only 1 server and host at the time. But the server made us feel very valued. We ordered the drink of the month from the bar. It was some Romance drink. Very good for $5 you can't beat that deal. Chips and salsa were free If you download the chilis app you get a reward. We went ahead and got the meal 2 for $25. We ordered side Cesar salad, chicken Cajun pasta, and chicken quesadilla comes with a dessert too. Everything was great. Service was awesome. A large glass of cold beer for me and a regular lemonade for my significant other. Our food was great so was our service. The place was clean. They have a military discount. They have tex mex on the menu. The mashed potatoes are home made. Our onion pedals appetizer was great. This was not a very good experience from beginning to end. We came in and asked for a table for 2 and we were told sit would be a 10-15 minute wait. The entire time we were waiting we could see 2 opened and cleaned 2 seater booths and our wait turned into a 40-45 minute wait. When we were seated we were greeted by our wonderful server, Newt. He was very kind and very attentive and made sure that everything we ordered was delivered to us in a timely manner. There was a good amount of people in there but it seemed about half of the tables were empty. We were seated in a corner and almost had to yell at each other from across the table because whatever speakers were near by were very loud. We ordered and received our margaritas which really just consisted of ice cubes. Afterward we ordered our apps and entrees and Newt made sure we got our apps while waiting for entrees. Someone else had delivered our apps but they only brought us salsa and chips and we were waiting on our skillet queso. They ended up giving us more chips and salsa but the salsa was spilled all over the cup, running down the side each time and on a good portion of the chips. While we were waiting for our food we could see in one of the mirrors that quite a few of the employees were just standing around in the kitchen chatting it up or on their phones while others were scrambling trying to be attentive and get orders out to tables. At one point we saw a woman go outside and come back in with a toddler in her arms and also brought her to the back and had her there for quite some time. When we finally received our food, the burger that was ordered was charred and very crunchy. I thought that maybe it was just the outside of it but as it was eaten it was evident that it was charred and crunchy all the way through. The baked seafood pasta was decent but the crab on it felt very dry and wasn't very tasteful. Haven't been to Chili's in a couple of years. Came on a Sunday at 5:30pm. It was pretty dead. We spent 30 minutes waiting for basic drinks from the bar. Server took forever to take our actual food order. We had already been done with our appetizers for about 15 minutes before he took our food order. The food was gross. My salad looked nothing like the salad in the picture. It pretty hard to mess up a quesadilla but they did. It's like they baked them open, burnt them, then laid them on top of eachother to cut them. Plus their Buffalo sauce isn't the same. I would not recommend this location to anyone. read more

This location's food had suffered during the pandemic, but due to my many years of being in love with their salsa...I had overlooked that. The service (like most other eating establishments) had also been extremely lackluster during the pandemic. It was slowly (from my personal experience) coming back...but today...?! My husband and I walked inside this evening to enjoy dinner and some drinks. They were "busy", but there were empty tables and zero people waiting. The issue we encountered? No hostess at the stand. Yes, she (or he) may have gone to the restroom; we gave the benefit of the doubt and stood there...for 5 minutes. Several employees saw us, some even walked right past us, but not one said a word to us or acknowledged we were even standing there. Even the bartender (who was chatting it up with another employee) saw us standing there - but didn't appear concerned we were being ignored. Needless to say, we turned around and walked out. I really do not like doing a review if it's not going to be 5*. I have been to this chili's a few times. 6-7 give or take a tome or 2. It hasn't been horrible. It hasn't been great either. The first time we came is what brought us back. The server was attentive and funny. She was fast and stayed on top of things even tho she was busy. So that was good. A couple other times passed and nothing to rave about. But it's chili's and they are always busy. I get it. Servers are grumpy and blah blah blah. The. We have another good experience. Friendly, efficient, etc. this time it was just my kiddo and I trying to get out of the house so he could concentrate on homework and have my attention. A couple other times passed since that visit as well, and again, nothing to write home about. Then last weekend my daughter and I stop in for a late lunch. We get a server whose hand is wrapped in a white bandage, and he is NOT smiling. I mean at all. He doesn't even greet us. Just states his business and moves on to get our drinks. He comes back and places the drinks on the table and says "y'all ready?"... of course, me being me I knew, obviously, Thai could go one of two ways. I could get upset and tell him never mind and just leave. Or I could take the high road and realize, hey, maybe this guy with the white bandage on his hand is just having a pretty crappy weekend and I need to change that. Yes. I know. It's not the customers responsibility to make sure we get the service our hard earned money cries out for, but every now and then there are exceptions to every rule. So, I put my menu down and say 3 simple words... are-you-okay? It made all the difference. He did not give a million excuses as to why he was being grumpy. He did not tell me his life story. He just simply said, I'm so sorry. And gave me a smile that spoke the words "let's start over". From that moment on he was wonderful. I didn't have to get up and leave. I got to enjoy my late lunch with my daughter and even had a few laughs with the server. The tipping point for the 5*s was this past Monday. Labor Day. Sat at the bar and we waited a bit. The bartender finally came over and got our drink order. Then he came back and got our food order. Yes. It was a bit of a wait. But obviously, it was busy. He was the only one there. We immediately knew what happened. It was a long weekend and people called out. The customers were still coming but they were doing their very best to accommodate everyone with the few employees they had. And again. The guy never once complained. Not even when the pitiful guy next to us was complaining about everything, all the while seeing the poor guy was not just standing around doing nothing. For this. I give 5*. This is definitely not the best restaurant that I have been to, but the plus side is that is usually not crowded - especially on weekend nights when the 151/410 or bandera/1604 chilis have a 30 minute to 1 hour wait. I came here last night (Friday) for dinner and my boyfriend and I were seated in less than 5 minutes, and our server was fast and polite. I ordered the Cajun Chicken Pasta and my boyfriend ordered the Smokehouse Jalapeno Burger. Both of our orders came out fast and tasting delicious. My boyfriend also ordered a Coronarita, which he said was pretty good. Some other things I really like about Chili's: 1. happy hour - cheap drinks and appetizers! 2. the coupons you get when you sign up for the E-Club. Once in awhile I'll get a coupon for a free appetizer if you order an entree - this works out perfectly for my boyfriend and I. We order one of each - share everything, get the appetizer for free and bam we've saved $8-10 easy. My favorite appetizers are the Southwestern Eggrolls or the Nachos! Favorite entrees: Bacon Ranch Quesadillas and Crispy Chicken Crispers. Dessert - you can't go wrong with Molten Chocolate Cake!!! Delicious chocolate cake with a gooey-yummy molten core, topped with scoop of vanilla ice cream, encased in a hardshell chocolate casing and drizzled with caramel. This dessert is AMAZING, the end. I've read other reviews about the cleanliness of this restaurant - I'll admit it's not the cleanest place, but you really can't beat the prices and convenience. read more

Wow, what a complete failure tonight. First, it was over an hour wait. That's fine, I get it. Restaurants are at 50% capacity due to COVID 19 and I really wanted their steak fajitas. Half hour later after being seated my order comes out wrong. Server promises they can re-do in 5 minutes. Fifteen minutes later still nothing. Takes another 10 minutes to alert the server we're leaving. So basically spent two hours at Chili's drinking two beers and NO entree. My girlfriend had the chicken enchiladas and said they were the worst ones she's ever had. Also no apology from the manager and they took off the cheese bite appetizer as a sorry. So I called and after they listened to my experience they apologized for any inconvenience and mailed me a few gift cards. I used those cards at the same location and the manager came by our table from to inquire about my experience. I explained what I wrote below and he knew who I was referring to. He also apologized and said he would speak with the bartender. We frequent this Chilis often and will continue to do so. Therefore changing my 1 star review to a 4 star for the apologies and discounts. (previous review) There's a bartender there who's a real prick. He comes off as a total arrogant a-hole. You can't tell him anything without him saying "Yeah, I know". As if he's knows everything and doesn't have time for customer comments and requests. Chili's is usually one of our favorite restaurants to visit, so we came here for lunch on my sons birthday and it wasn't that busy. The table we were given, wasn't the cleanest so we moved to another one. There I wiped that table with wipes I had with me. We weren't quite ready to order and when I asked for a few more minutes, it was more like 15 minutes. After getting our appetizers, I finished drinking my water and the waitress/server Mia, passed by and said she would refill my glass. She passed by several more times with nothing. Then she attended to other tables and finally completely ignored our table. Eventually, someone else came out and bought us our main course. We mentioned wanting to place a to go order as well as having a coupon for a free molten lava cake. She acknowledged it. But we would never receive the cake. After awhile, we were ready to save our food for later and wanted to get a box to take our food home. We waited and waited. Yet no one came, but Mia was at the bar serving drinks to everyone trying to avoid eye contact with our table. Finally, I just got up and went to the hostess stand to ask for boxes. An employee gave them to me. Then we boxed up our food and my son, found a stand with bags and we used those as well. I looked around to ask about the to go order and cake. No one. I walked back over to the hostess stand when finally Mia decides to come to our table (still with no water!) I told her I was disgusted from the service. She seemed confused, perhaps that was a new vocab word for her. I preceded to tell her that I never got my water, cake or to go order. I wanted to talk to the manager. She said she could ask. We got the to go order. And another 10 minutes later, the manager came with a check which took off one of the appetizers. I paid and left very disappointed and angry. So much for a nice birthday lunch. What did we do to deserve such horrible service?? It was seriously uncalled for! Short staffed is not an excuse, Covid is not an excuse!! Lack of training in customer service and just being a decent human being is what this establishment is lacking.
