Chili's is arguably not a good restaurant, especially when you're in an area filled real Taquerias and authentic Mexican food vs American-style Tex-Mex. Chili's just won't live up, it's as simple as that. But, my boyfriend had never been to Chili's and was dying to go, so alas we ended up here on a Friday night. To my surprise, the place was packed. We only had to wait about five minutes, but by the time we left, the waiting area was overflowing onto the sidewalk outside (on a winter night too). To get the full Chili's experience, we ordered way too much food with the triple dipper and the Fajitas for 2. For the dipper we got chicken crispers, southwest eggrolls, and sliders. For the Fajitas we got beef, chicken, and shrimp. The color of the beef for the fajitas was a questionable shade of grey, but to our surprise they actually were decently tender. Shrimp was fairly flavorful and chicken was pretty bland. The chicken crispers were my favorite part of the meal, but everything else was meh. My boyfriend got a margarita and basically had to chug it in order to finish it because he said it was so gross. But hey, that's a $6 margarita from a massive chain restaurant. Hmm what can I say that's positive? We were seated immediately that's about it. Our server was tied to her iPad for orders and lacked any personality. Our four adult beverages were literally delivered by three people and our food another four. Yes, that's seven people who served us. The Cajan chicken pasta had sauce but the kitchen staff forgot to drain the pasta so the cheese sauce was non existent. Went to Chili's for the first time recently and was quite pleasantly surprised by the menu breadth and prices! I had the 3 for me with the iced tea, house salad, and sirloin steak with broccoli and asparagus. All of which was $16.99! I ordered the steak medium but it felt a bit more medium well, if not well done; it also could have been seasoned a bit more, while I felt the asparagus was over salted. Despite this, I thought this was an absolute steal for a well balanced steak meal. Also tried the chicken bacon quesadilla which was very crispy and not as heavy/overloaded with cheese as I might have expected. We did have to ask the staff for napkins and utensils when we needed them during the meal since they weren't provided immediately but they would frequently check in during the meal. I ordered the famous Triple Dipper. After some time, my order arrived, but no one brought napkins or utensils, so I had to ask for them. When I started eating, I noticed that the Honey Chipotle Chicken Crispers were cold and soggy. By "soggy," I mean they were limp and soft, almost as if they had been boiled and left sitting in the sauce for too long, rather than crispy. The waiter was very kind and insisted on having the kitchen remake the order, which I appreciated. I accepted and waited about 25 minutes for the replacement. The waiter explained that they were preparing everything from scratch. Unfortunately, when the new order arrived, the chicken strips were still soggy, although this time they were extremely hot. By then, I was ready to leave. The manager apologized and kindly comped the meal, which I appreciated, but overall it was still a disappointing experience. Very sandy texture for some reason, I'd stick with the regular one and ask for a side of buffalo sauce instead. I also got the 3 for me for $12.99, which came with a tasty cup of the loaded baked potato soup, soda, and an OG burger. Burger came out medium, which was perfect. It's not a memorable burger but does what it needs to do to satisfy the craving. For a dinner for two, we came out under $40 after tax and tip. I came here for lunch and because I was alone I went into the bar so I didn't take up a table. I waited for 10 minutes and no one came by with a menu or to take my order, so I went back to the hostess and got a table. Mark was my waiter. He took my order and was very personable. He brought me utensils and napkins and my water and Coke Zero came within minutes. My food also came really quickly as well. Everything tasted good and Mark got me a container for my leftovers and mentioned he could get me more sauces if I needed it. Somehow I ended up at another Chili's two nights in a row. Lucky me, right? This time I was with the family while we were running errands in the plaza next door. We made an attempt to go to another restaurant but the wait was a little too long and ended up here. Right when we walked in, it was clear this location was not like the other. The layout felt awkward, and the host stand looked messy and unorganized. They didn't really seem to know how to line people up or call names nor did they seem to care. We got signed in and waited about 30 minutes. I went to the restroom while we waited, and it was honestly pretty bad. Pee and trash on the floor, used toilet paper on the ground, and an overall dirty feel. The placement of the bathroom must be an issue too, because anytime someone went #2, you could smell it in the restaurant. I also saw an employee leave the restroom without washing their hands, which definitely didn't help my impression. The food was probably the worst part of the visit. I ordered an Old Timer with cheese and an extra patty, and it came out very overcooked and dry. The fries were somehow soggy. Our chips and queso weren't very good either the queso was so watered down it was basically soup rather than a dip. My wife ordered a salad and stopped eating it after a few bites. The kids had sliders, which they liked well enough, but mostly because they covered them in ranch. The service didn't really improve things. Had to try the triple dipper as it's infected my Instagram feed as of late. The fried mozz is the best thing to get for that. The southwest egg rolls are also good. Chicken crispers were just an ordinary chicken tender, I wouldn't say there was anything particularly good or bad about them. Got the bacon burger on the 3 For Me menu. Burger is substantial, but lacking seasoning on the beef. Also, the pickles were all stacked in the center of my burger. Fries were on the greasy side, and the oil tasted overdue for a change. This is definitely a value option on the menu, but I wouldn't recommend the burger after this experience. Our server lacked the life in his eyes and we could tell he had a long day today. This was my first time ordering the Smokehouse Combo Pick 2 on DoorDash. The menu never showed ribs as something I needed to select. The only options I saw were the two sides, so I assumed the ribs automatically came with the combo. When my order arrived, there were no ribs at all. I called the restaurant to ask about it, and honestly, the manager was pretty rude. Instead of explaining the situation clearly or apologizing for the confusion, I was basically told they were out of ribs and had turned that option off. If you're out of the key item, there should be a clear notice, especially for first-time customers who have no way of knowing that the combo won't actually include ribs.What bothered me most wasn't just the missing ribs, but the way it was handled. I've been to this location a couple of times it's fine, not amazing, not horrible. We put our name down and were told 35 mins and got seated after 5 min so that was nice. Got greeted by our server right away and she took our drink orders. Stay far away from the water here, it tastes like sink. Of course had to finish the meal off with the molten chocolate cake! Went to pay the bill on the little tablet and I had gone in to activate a reward I had earlier in the meal and had seen the bill was about $57 so definitely unexpected to see the bill now showing $145 which had me wondering how much the molten chocolate cake was.
