One time I was in there and he was quoting the whole obsession movie at the top of his lungs with his coworkers while we were trying to eat and now I went in there tonight and just just wouldn't serve us. He brought us drinks and then started cleaning and then sat down and started shooting the crap with a coworker instead of ever taking our order. Had the Cajun pasta with grilled shrimp. Also had the chips & salsa as an appetizer. Love their salsa. Always have loved it. Once my pasta dish came it was time to dive in. First bite of shrimp cool to the taste. Not good. I was disappointed that the shrimp tasted to the touch cool versus warm like they have been sitting around versus just grilled. So that was disappointing to start with. Then the pasta was steaming hot as I stirred it. Which was great. So I was confused why the shrimp was cool and pasta was steaming hot. That has to get fixed!!!! Service was good. They were slammed with folks this specific evening. So I figured kitchen was backed up. But still. Shrimp cool and pasta hot. Not good. Had lunch at the Chili's in Spring Hill. We had the luncheon special of cobb salad with Southwestern Salad Dressing. After talking with our server we decided to split the salad. That was a great suggestion as it was the perfect size for each of us to get enough to eat. The salad was fresh and the dressing was perfect for the salad. Came in the other day and received the absolute BEST service from a young man on July 23rd around 3:00pm. Unfortunately, we did not get his name! His service alone is worth 5 stars. He was a tall slender gentleman, super attentive, and just overall excellent! The Nashville hot mozzarella sticks are delicious and tasty! The cheese pull on these are insane! Not too spicy, delicious, and a great appetizer. We had honey chipotle crispers, fries, and the bacon ranch quesadillas. We came on a good day, it was quiet and clean. The food was good. It seems to me that Chilis like many other businesses in this day in time will be its own undoing. Changing the chicken crispers recipe is a huge mistake. But the thing that sticks out to me is the price of a single slice of pie. I can't imagine that anyone is buying pie at more than $10 for a single piece. I am absolutely appalled by the "service" our group received tonight. We arrived two hours before closing with a party of 10, only to be met with blatant hostility and a staff that clearly had no intention of actually working. It was painfully obvious they had already checked out for the night. Half the dining room was already broken down with chairs flipped, and instead of seating us, the staff did everything in their power to make us leave. They refused to seat our group together and insisted we use high-top stools--despite the fact that we had infants with us. It was a transparent, lazy attempt to deter us because they didn't want to bother with a section they had already prematurely "cleaned." If you're going to keep your doors open until a certain hour, then actually serve your customers. Forcing families with small children onto stools while half the restaurant sits empty is a joke. This level of unprofessionalism is a total middle finger to anyone expecting basic hospitality. We won't be back, and I'd suggest others take their business to a place that actually values its patrons. read more

I work with a church group of senior adults, and we have been on a monthly quest to find the best burger in the greater Spring Hill area. Chili's was our destination this month. Surprisingly, their service began hours before our dinner, when I dropped in earlier in the day to alert them to a group of 25 coming that night. My car would not start, and the restaurant staff were all about coming to my rescue, and so very kind to me throughout. Dinner that night, after all individual ratings were collected (we have a form!), resulted in this report: A highly qualified panel of seniors convened this week for an official review session, held over hamburgers at Chili's. After exhaustive research (and a side of fries), the following conclusions were reached: Burgers: Declared "top-notch" and "worth writing home about." One reviewer suggested they might even be better than homemade--though quickly added, "don't tell my spouse." Average rating of 97.6 Of the 23 responses, 15 rated 100! Service: Rated "faster than we can tell our best stories." Our server kept drinks filled before anyone could even think about being parched. Atmosphere: Lively enough to make us feel young, quiet enough that we didn't have to say "what?" more than three times. (Some thought it was noisy... well, yes WE WERE) Overall Verdict: Five stars, two thumbs up, and unanimous agreement that we'll "need to do more research here soon." My husband and I wanted to dine at the Chilis in Spring Hill, TN. We dine at the Crossings very often being empty nesters. After both of us ordering a couple of draft beers we were carded, which I completely understand and agree with. I worked my way through college and so is my daughter serving at restaurants. The bartender looks at my husband and my license and questions the authenticity because they feel thin and grimy plus we don't have the star on our license. My husband works outside so due to the physical stress on his wallet and the grime of the job maybe it is a little thin ( he was just issued this license a couple of months ago so maybe take it up with the gov on why they feel that way) but obviously we're not 20 years old. We waited for the manager over five minutes to approve our license so we could drink. Finally the manager on duty shows up to explain they have to question things but let me give you some advice don't question your customers who are willing to show their ID, come in weekly, tip very well, and want to support your company. I'm not a fan of big chain restaurants, but it was mid-afternoon and we were starving so just stopped in for some chips/salsa/guacamole. Location itself, very clean! Looked updated inside (well, from the last time I was in a Chili's... over 15 years ago). Chips came out hot! But stale... Salsa had zero flavor. Guac was good, but was not freshly made. It was slightly brown on the top when they brought it out, indicating it was scooped from a container that has been sitting awhile allowing it to get brown. I had to ask for hot sauce to help give both a little spice as so bland. Server, nice and attentive. I don't live in or near Spring Hill, and will not go out of my way to come back to this one. It's hard to write much of a review when the staff doesn't want to work. I love the Southwest egg rolls at Chili's. Thought I'd stop in the Spring Hill location for an order while I finished up some work. Sat at the bar, two behind it, neither acknowledged at all. They disappeared into the back. A couple came in and sat down at a table near me. The bartender shuffled past me and took their order. She then went into the back again, not even stopping to see if perhaps I might want something. After 10 minutes i left. I don't understand why people that clearly have zero interest in serving customers take jobs like this. But, I don't blame them, I blame the management of this location. This is my first time at this chilis and I will never go back. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left we saw our waitress twice and we were there for two hours. I got my food which was the chicken enchilada soup, chips and salad. The salad was slimy and bad. The soup was disgusting, I wanted to see if the waitress would trade the soup out considering I took one bite and hated it. She said she would, then never returned. Once reminding her about this after waiting thirty minutes, she charged me for the other soup. We payed $35 for my meal which I had two bites of, my fiancés meal which he only ate the brisket quesadilla while the sausage tasted like plastic. Lastly, to top it off there was no apologies about the lack of attention to the table, the bad food, and forgetfulness. The waitress even when asking which soup to replace it with WARNED me about the other ones describing them as GROSS. I am disgusted with this experience and will not be returning. Came in for the first time yesterday and ordered the $9 Double Burger Lunch Special. The restaurant was friendly, lively, and clean. The food was hot, fresh, and wonderful. It was delivered promptly and everything was correct--just as I ordered it. Lorene is a rockstar! She was tending bar and waiting on several tables in the area as well. She has a lovely customer-focused demeanor that radiates how good she is at her job and with people in general. Checked this place out and curbside delivery was an option. I was surprised by how pleased I was with the food. I know this is a chain but I feel it is good to give it props when props are due. The mix (shrimp chicken steak) fajitas were really good, better then traditional mex place actually. The smokehouse platter was huge- big enough for two people really. They recently opened so I figured some kinks in the Armor but actually no, they had it together. So two forks up for this place folks. I remember the service being really bad for awhile. That was NOT the case tonight. We got here about 6:15 on a Friday night. We were immediately seated. Within a very short period of time, Judson introduced himself. He was nice, attentive, and I saw him busting his butt all over his section of the restaurant.
