I know this Chilis has had some staffing issues in the past, but they seem to have righted the ship. The last few times we have been here for lunch have been very enjoyable. We've ordered off the lunch combo menu and had more than enough food... good food. I like the Chipotle Mexican Bowl. The chips and salsa are very good and you get a lot of them. Pro tip - dip in both ranch and salsa. Adam, in the bar seating area has been our waiter and done a great job.

This review is specifically for the Waukesha, WI location. My wife and I took two of our grandkids here around 7:30 on a Saturday. It was not very busy and we were seated promptly. I'm not sure if our server was new and while she was friendly, she needed additional training on the menu. First, she didn't know what beers were on tap so I walked into the bar area to see what was available - no biggie. While placing the order she got the chicken quesadillas confused with the quesadilla explosion salad but luckily we corrected what she'd written down while she read back the order. While she was taking the other drink orders I told her I was a rewards member and showed her the coupon for a free chips and salsa appetizer that we wanted. About 20 minutes after we ordered the rest of our food I reminded her about the chips and she said she didn't realize we wanted to order them. Huh? She placed the order and another fellow brought them out about five minutes later. They were gross - I've eaten chips at at least a dozen Chilis and none came close to how greasy these were - see the picture below. My wife didn't mind them and kids don't know what grease is so we just kept them. Someone needs to teach the cook here how to make them properly. The rest of our food was typical Chili's faire - nothing great but nothing terrible. If anything, I'd say Chili's has a tendency to make just about any food a bit messy and not exactly worthy of a heart-healthy star. My other comment is that it became slower and slower while we were there - probably 20% or less filled. There were debris on the floor throughout the restaurant and I watched staffer after staffer walk right by napkins and such on the floor without taking a second to pick it up - one of my real pet peeves when I see it happen at any restaurant. Undoubtedly, one or two of those staffers were managers and that's really unacceptable. This was on 4/23/2022 at 7:30-8:30. A picture is attached and I point it out because those folks need to do a better job as there are a bundle of alternative places to eat nearby. All in all - a notch below my typical Chili's experience.

This was my first ever time at Chili's and it was A super pleasant experience! The workers gave a warm welcome, everyone seemed to be having A great day even being understaffed. They explained as soon as I sat down it might take A little long on service and food dude to lack of workers and still killed it! My food came out pretty fast and my server kept on checking on my group and made sure our drinks were filled! Only thing that took a while was the dessert BUT! Everyone was apologetic and extremely nice this Chili's sets the example of what good food service is and everyone should look at these workers and take notes. Now for the food the medium rare steak was amazing I was a little skeptical getting a steak here but they delivered, seasoned with salt and pepper with a garlic butter nice touch! It also came with broccoli that was great nothing to special about it, only thing I ate here and didn't like was the loaded mash it looked delicious but was so bland it was really sad. Having bacon and cheese on top was good flavor but you get into the mash and the flavor disappears. All the Apps the bacon chicken quesadilla was great comes with sour cream and A side of chipotle so you decide how much sauce you want, the mango teriyaki crispers were fantastic! A crispy battered tender glazed with the mango teriyaki sauce but still maintained to have that crunch well done. Other than that I also had the Buffalo boneless wings and fried pickles nothing was special about these picks I don't think I'd get those again. The lava cake speaks for itself A hot chocolate dessert with A scoop of ice cream on top you have to eat it quick for the best flavors ! Would recommend ! The final secret I learned here, chilis knows what's good here every I had here that was amazing was advertised with pictures on the menu, the server also recommended amazing selections here next time I'm getting the steak dinner again switch the mash for fries and get the triple dipper again but with three different flavors of chicken crispers ! Fantastic job and amazing first time at chilis

Two of us ordered the Backyard BBQ burger, one without sweet potato fries and the other with tots. The third person ordered the Pizzaz burger with breaded mushrooms. All were cooked medium as requested and were very tasty. The sweet potato fires, breaded mushrooms, and tots were also very good. The breaded mushrooms were strips of a large mushroom as opposed to mushroom cups. The only issue we had was both Backyard BBQ burgers were servered with sweet potato fried instead of one having tots. Our server, Olivia quickly corrected the situation by bring us an order of tots. Olivia did a great job, was personable, pleasant, and provided great customer service! Inside the ambiance hasn't change and is still pleasant and comfortable. They have a nice mix of regular height and high-top tables. Plenty of TV's are placed throughout, including on their very nice outdoor patio. They have claimed to have the best burgers in town, and they continue to provide burgers that meet that claim.

Which I guess could be kind of odd to have on a bar menu, but if it's on the menu, you would think it would be good. The second it was put down. It looked like it came out of a prepared TV dinner. The meatloaf was thin, sliced, and tasted did just like a Salisbury steak. And kind of chewy. Not appealing on the plate either. He substituted a side salad instead of fries. The side salad was super tiny and not worth it. I ordered wings. When they were delivered all 12 were drummies. I didn't get one flat. The waitress then brought me out some flats mins later when I asked for them and showed her my plate. As for beverages, I ordered a tap of spotted cow and it was very flat and not cold. We won't be back anytime soon.

The place…read moredefinitely has a very Mexican decor with the arches, colors, light fixtures etc etc. As you walk in there is a nice bar that smacks you in the face. Service was slow with two tables in service and my server never came back to check in on me so I had to get him for a box and the check, I also had to walk my money over to him and he still got a 41% tip for some reason from me ????. I need to learn to tip accordingly instead of me being me. I ordered the combination dinner with one ground beef enchilada, one Al pastor taco and a ground beef tostada. The chips and salsa was decent with thick fresh corn chips, not warm by the way. The salsa was a purée style with good flavor and a mild heat finish but served in a tiny bowl that lasted 1/3 of the chips before it was gone. The dinner comes with beans and rice. The beans were good and seasoned nicely. The rice was cooked perfectly and not mushy but bland like most Mexican restaurants but anyone who follows my reviews knows that my fix is to mix the beans and rice and top with the salsa but I didn't have very much salsa this time. The ground beef enchilada was topped with red sauce/cheese with moist ground beef. The al pastor taco was topped with fresh cilantro/onion and good but not very saucy with moist pork. The ground beef tostada was basically topped with lettuce, tomato and cheese with that moist ground beef. Overall it was Milwaukee area average Mexican food with an authentic salsa to their own which was the tastiest part of the dish but it's a solid place with fresh food.

It's a pretty dark, steakhouse, vibe inside with old school Frank Sinatra-esque music in the background. The service level here was perfect, I love a place where the staff plays zone and if someone notices something then they cover it seamlessly. Nick was our server and took great care of us. we tried the following: Drinks - I had a dirty gin martini and my wife had a captain and diet (her go to) and both were perfectly mixed. Appetizers - We were really looking forward to the buratta appetizer, but it had just gone off menu, so we went with the goat cheese that replaced it, which was good (but I would cut down the number of sun-dried tomatoes by 1/3). My wife ordered the onion soup and really enjoyed it. Mains - My wife had the filet and said it was the best she has had in a long while. I am a sucker for lamb and wasn't feeling like a steak, so that is what I went with. Both were amazing and we both had mashed potatoes. Mine also came with carrots with a demi-glaze. Everything was delicious. Dessert - The restaurant was kind enough to serve my wife a complimentary dessert for her birthday. It was amazing, but we were so full we could only manage a few bites. Will definitely be back!!

I was here for a birthday dinner. We had a table that faced the window, so we had a great view of the lake. It was a Saturday, and they even had a guitarist playing music, which was a nice touch. We ordered the smash burger and the salmon. The meat in the burger was very tender and flavorful. It melts in your mouth. We chose the truffle fries with it and these complemented the burger nicely. I liked the fries more than the burger. The salmon came with crispy skin on top, which is my favorite part of salmon. The best part of that dish was the crispy roasted brussels sprouts, probably the best I ever had! So rich and savory! They made my partner's birthday special with a dessert on the house. We shared a rumchata bread pudding, which was sweet but not overpowering. They even wrote "happy birthday" in chocolate and gave him a handwritten card. They really went above and beyond. This was such a nice experience. I can't wait to come back again!

My girlfriend and I made reservations in advance through Yelp, and it was the right call because this place is busyyy, especially on a Friday night. We were sat at a hightop and quickly greeted by a very friendly server. She never once made us feel rushed, which is always appreciated. For drinks, we both got the a gin-based cocktail called 'dress to empress' which had tasty lychee infused syrup and lime juice. Very refreshing. We also shared the brussel sprouts app and oh my gooooodness I could order that 10x over. Not to mention the portion was massive. It had big pieces of shaved parmesan, a honey aioli and some kind of chili oil. So darn good. I went with the salmon entree. Loved the fingerling potatoes and other accoutrements that came along with it. The salmon itself was A-OK. Like good but I've definitely had better. But there was the slightest bit of fishy-ness to it. Overall, wonderful experience. Would return no doubt.
